The pitter-patter of little paws moved briskly across the ground as a small grey furred cat approached the school grounds. This wasn’t just any furry feline. At first glance one might see him as some lost stray. But Silva was more than just a cat wearing a green bandana and on the prowl. He was actually a humanoid animal. The feline traits are from his father’s side… Or so that’s what he’s been told. There was a feeling of butterflies in his stomach as he neared the school grounds. Would he be accepted to train here? Would he have what it takes to survive in this place? Slowing to a stop for a moment the feline looked up with jade green eyes in awe. Taking a deep breath he did his best to calm down and regain his composure before continuing onward to meet the unknown.

Ears perked upright and tail flickering from side to side, Silva found himself wandering about outside to find his instructor. Sensei Fukuro. Quick on his paws he scampered over to a scruffy looking man. Excuse me? Are you Sensei Fukuro? he asked in a formal manner. The big guy turned and had to look down to see the feline there. A gruffy laugh he reached down to pick Silva up by the scuff of his neck. haha Are you lost kitty? There was a small hiss and growl as the feline realized he had to show some back bone. No. I’m here to get stronger. To find someone to train me. Train you? Do you even know what ki is? Ki? he looked a bit puzzled. I see we got a long way to go. Sensei Fukuro was a bit impressed that he had spunk. Maybe this wasn’t going to be too much waste of time. Setting Silva down the pair seated themselves down on the ground. Ki is energy. Energy that you can harness, control, and sense to use different techniques. There was a moments’ pause as the feline was trying to take this all in.

Silva suddenly felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. He gazed around suspiciously trying to figure out what was giving him these vibes. Something's not right... I better keep on guard. A quick sight under his breath he turned his attention back to sensei Fukuro. "You can feel ki as well as see it. If you close your eyes and concentrate, you'll be able to feel it like a warm candle deep inside your body." The instructor tried to explain. "See." Watching in awe the feling leaned a bit forward to see his teacher form a small white orb of ki in the palm of his hand. "Wow! Let me try!" With a boast of confidence he sat up on his hunches and held his two front paws out. Trying to concentrate and focus a few times there wasn't any glow in his paws. He gave a hiss in frustration. "Try again. But this time close your eyes. The outside surroundings are distracting you," sensei Fukuro suggested. The feline closed his eyes and focused again, feeling a strange warmth deep down. Drawing on that feeling he channeled it from his body core to his paws. A small flicker appeared and then a small yellow orb began to form. Silva opened his eyes to see the ki he gathered in his paws. Alright! With renewed excitement he leapt up into the air and gave a loud cheer. But remembering he was in his teacher’s presence he regained his composure and calmed down. Grinning from ear to ear he stood up on his hind feet and clasped his front paws together with a bow. Thank you sensei.

Some time passed until the feline was getting the hang of focusing on his ki and making a visible glow in his paws. At first Sensei Fukuro was skeptical of training Silva. Now they had renewed respect for each other. Good. You’re getting the hang of it. Now it’s time to fly. The feline looked a bit puzzled by what his teacher meant by that. Fly? Yes, fly. Just as you’ve been focusing on your ki into your paws you’ll be focusing it under your feet. Like so. After a quick demonstration it was Silva’s turn. Again it took a few tries until he finally felt his body hovering and moving three feet above the ground. rraarrrrr! he let out a surprised yelp. It was then he realized he was actually flying! Hey! I did it! I’m flying!

Flying was the easy part, next came the landing. Now that Silva had grasped the concepts of ki he was almost ready to continue on with another lesson. Swooping down he landed at his teacher’s feet yet didn’t calculate the motion and went tumbling head over heels. A summersult across the ground he landed a bit rougher than he planned and rolled over to sit up on his butt. Sensei? How was that? he asked curiously with a slight tilt of his head. Sensei Fukuro thought for a second before answering that question. Your flight was good. But you still need some practice on your landing. Rest for a bit, then we’ll resume your training. With that the instructor left the feline to his own demise for a short time.

So Silva took the chance for a quick lunch (catching a mouse running across the training grounds) and scampered over to a nearby tree. Instinctively he dug his claws into the rough bark and climbed up into the branches overhead. It was a perfect spot for a ‘cat nap’. Light on his paws he balanced on a thick branch and laid down, closing his eyes with a grin on his muzzle. A short time passed when he suddenly felt the presence of someone else up in the tree. It felt like his ki… and in a way not his ki. In a blink of an eye he woke up and leapt to the end of the branch on all fours. Getting in a defensive crouch he hissed, show yourself! I know you’re there! The familiar laughter of his teacher caught his attention as the instructor lowered himself down from the higher branches. Very good. You’re getting the hang of ki. I didn’t think you’d sense me that quick. Try again, but this time come looking for me. Use your senses and focus on the feel of ki. Without another word Sensei Fukuro appeared to vanish like the wind.

Come find you… ok.. Silva was starting to understand the ‘feel’ of ki. He knew what it felt like in his own body. Now he had to reach out and try to pinpoint his teachers’. This wasn’t going to be easy. Rested and having that snack earlier he felt ready to continue the next trial. Agile as a cat he leapt down from the branches and landed firmly on the ground, on his paws. Sensei Fukuro strongly repeated the fact that sometimes it works better to sense without relaying on sight. For now the feline had to close his eyes and focus without letting the surroundings of the school distract him. Taking a deep breath to clear his thoughts and calm his body he thought he felt a small flicker off to his right. The game of hide and seek had begun.

Scampering across the training grounds Silva found his teacher hiding up in another tree. This repeated process kept going for some time as he was on a wild chase all around the school. Once he started finding Sensei Fukuro more quicker, the instructor had to start finding harder hiding places. This continuous practice was paying off as the feline was tapping into his ki sense more quickly and effectively.

Cherish Haruno

After relaxing, socalizing, and even snacking, Cherish and her teacher, Kanji, were now ready to begin the final lesson of her training. Cherish was eating her half eaten rice ball as she listened to her master. "Ok, Cherish, for the your last training lesson, you will learn how to sense Ki and the After Image Teachnique. But, we will start off with the easy one first which is the Ki sensing technique." He told Cherish with his arms acrossed. "Yes, Sensei!" She muffled as she was finishing her rice ball. "Alright then. For the Ki sensing lesson, just concentarte on your surroundings and try to sense as much Ki as you can but remember to relax." Kanji instructed Cherish. She found it a bit hard but somewhat easy at the same time. "Easier said then done if you ask me..." She responded. "Exactly my point. Now go on and try it." Cherish nodded.

She looked at her Sensei before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath in.... then out. As she was trying to concentrating, she could feel Kanji's energy but couldn't fully feel it. Cherish began to tense up, twiching lightly as she tried to feel her master's energy level. Seeing her not relaxed, Kanji spoke "Whoa there. Don't rush it so quickly. Just relax your muscles and you'll do fine." With her eyes still closed, Cherish nodded and began to relax once again. "Just relax Cherish... Take it slow..." She thought to herself trying to calm down. Once fully relaxed, Cherish tried again, feeling her master's energy this time now fully. She grinned under her closed eyes. She tried to push her full extent of her Ki sensing ability and she could sense a bunch of students power levels. After a few minutes of sensing Ki, she opened her eyes, looking at her Sensei with a smile. "I did it. I could sense your Ki and other people's Ki too." "Very good. You can also be able to sense Ki without closing your eyes but that will need a lot of training. But anyways, Now lets down to the last technique, The After Image move." He said with a smirk. "Alright then. Just don't sit there, lets learn this thing!" She said excitedly.

"Now, for the After Image Technique, just hit me and I'll slow you." Cherish looked at him confused, trying to figure what his plan was. "Don't worry, hit me. I'll be fine." He said in a friendly tone. Cherish looked at him with a serious loook as she got into a stance. She then spins around once before throwing a fast roundhouse kick at Kanji. Feeling her kick go through him, Cherish lost her balanced and fell on her bottom. "What the..." She said to herself seeing that Kanji was completely gone. Suddently feeling someones palm on her shoulder, he looked behind her and of course, it was Kanji. He chuckled a bit. "And thats how the After Image goes." He stuck his hand out, offering to lift her up. Cherish grabbed onto his hand and was pulled up on her feet. "That seens simple. You just have to move at a high speed motion, right?" She asked. "In a simple way of putting it, Yes you do." He answered her. "Now attack me." He ordered as he powered up. "With pleasure." With those words, Cherish charged, flying at Kanji and threw a swinging left kick at Kanji's head but he used an After Image at the last moment, disappearing and reappearing behind her as she was struck by a blow to the back. She was knocked backwards a bit. Turning around facing Kanji again, Cherish charged at him once again and throwing a flurry of punches and flexible kicks at him. Kanji reacted by blocking the hits but as one kick at him off guard, Cherish swung two fast but strong punches at Kanji, only to have the hits go through him and to have him dissapear again. Using the Ki sensing ability, she felt Kanji on the right side of her. She tried to move very swiftly but fast, she only dodged a punch that bruched right passed her. She then suddently saw Kenji's leg coming at her at her left. Moving at very high speeds, Cherish disappeared, leaving an After Image of herself behind. Kanji was taken off balanced by Cherish disappearing and he slammed his foot on the ground and looked around for her. When he looked up at the ceiliing, Cherish came down at Kanji with a drop kick that slammed him directly in his face and sent him hitting the ground very hard and had him bounching backwards into the air and rolling on the ground. As Cherish landed, she saw the destruction she caused, seeing that it was a small hole in the ground and seeing her master on the ground flat. "Oh crap! Kanji!" She shouted running to his aid. "Are you okay?!" She asked him, feeling his hand. She felt a pulse from him but he wasn't responding until she suddently began to move. Once helping him up, Kanji had a nose bleed and was holding his nose. "Yeah... I've never felt better... hehe..." He responded trying to crack a smile under his bloody nose.

After fixing the damages and treating Kanji's nose, Cherish and Kanji said they're goodbyes. Cherish thanked Kanji for the lessons and hugged him. Kanji hugged Cherish back, telling her how she was a wonderful student. After hugging, Cherish then lefted walking around the building to see if she could meet some new people.

There was a small growl as Maeyo entered the West City Academy. He paused to make sure he had the right address. Looking down he drew a white note with the name and location of the place. "Yes. This seems like it."

The Makyan walked boldly through. He was sure he would be in and out soon enough. After all, who would best him on this tiny planet? A man stopped him outside. The man held his hand out.

"Sir, you're not allowed here."

Maeyo smirked. "Oh, but I am registered here." Maeyo pulled out an ID card he had on him. "See?" Maeyo put the card away and started to go in, but the man stopped him again.

"Students are not allowed to carry weapons in without permission from their master. This is your first trip here, so please leave your spear with me until then."

Maeyo gave a distasteful look at the human. He gave his halberd for the man to hold on to. "Fine. I'll be back. I hope you'll keep in one piece, for your sake."

Maeyo stormed off into his dojo. He was to meet his master shortly. After a while, the same man he had seen came in. The man was dark-skinned with a thin mustache. He sported a pair of dark sunglasses which framed his long face and complimented his square jaw. He wore a white tanktop with black combo boots and green camaflouge pants.

The Makyan looked up, confused. What happened? Why was this man still here? "Can I help you?"

"Yes, get up."

"Huh?" The human grabbed Maeyo's arm and forced him up. "What the hell!"

"Silence, soldier. I am your instructor. You will address me as Master Commander. Is that clear?!"

A bead of sweat formed on the book of Maeyo's head. Was this person being sincere? How over the top could one get! But being that Maeyo was adherent to the rules, he bowed his head to show respect.

"Yes, Master Commander!"

Master seemed satisfied by this. He walked to a wall and mounted Maeyo's halberd to the wall. It would be left there until Maeyo came to retrieve it.

“Good,” spoke the Master, smiling proudly. “Your first mission, should you choose to accept, is to learn the art of flight. Let me demonstrate.”

Maeyo stood silently as he watched the Master Commander. The Master slowly levitated off the ground. “This is the basics, but once you get better at it...” He started to zip across the air. “You can do this!”

Maeyo nodded his head slowly. He was eager to learn this flight technique. This was just one step from reaching his ultimate goal to succeed his fore-fathers and become Kami of the Earth. “Alright. Teach me.”
Master grinned and landed. He put his hands on his hips in an authoritative manner. “I'm glad you're so eager, but first you must prove yourself! Run thirty laps around this complex, back and forth!”

Maeyo's smiled faded. “You mean the dojo room?”

Master shook his head. “The whole building! Now go!” He shot a weak ki blast at Maeyo. Maeyo ran out of the dojo room, determined to complete his task. “I will show him. Then, he will teach me how to fly.”

Maeyo stopped at the outside of the building. He was going to start his laps when he heard the Master's voice. “FROM THE SIDE WALK!”

So, the Makyan ran to the side-walk. He stretched his legs for ten minutes, then started to run. The first few laps weren't too bad. In fact, he quite enjoyed it. However, by the sixth lap, he was growing weaker.

All that time asleep must have weakened me on the ship. I cannot believe that I am so tired so soon. I need to keep going, no matter how long it takes.

Maeyo growled, intent on following through his word. As ruler of his homeworld, he set an example as a man of order. He owed it to himself and his family legacy to complete this leg of his journey. He did not know how he did it, but he finished his task alright. The Makyan smiled to himself as he crawled back to the dojo room.

Inside the room, Master Commander was sipping black coffee. He set the cup down. “I was sure you had ran off on me. Heh, not too bad. Now, get up. I will teach you now.”

Maeyo mustered all his remaining strength to get up. “Good,” spoke Master. “Sit here for now,” he said, and gestured to a seat by the wall. “Catch your breath. Then, we will continue.”

After a few minutes, Maeyo's breathing calmed down as oxygen reached his deprived lungs. He was ready. “Alright, let's begin,” said Master.

Master motioned Maeyo to come forward. “You know how to utilize simple ki blast, right?” Master formed a yellow ball of energy and held it for Maeyo to see. “Yes, of course.”

Maeyo reached out with his left hand to draw ki into his hand, but nothing happened. Master laughed. “It's alright. First, we'll go over basics. Ki energy, then flight. It'll be easier for you to understand once you get that done. Ok, first you need to reach deep down inside you, deeper than your heart. In there is the energy you need to draw open.”

Maeyo did so and made a ki ball. “Great! Now fire it at that target!” Master moved aside and show a wooden dummy. Maeyo aimed his hand and fired the blast. The blast destroyed the dummy. “Fine, fine. By the way, Maeyo, you did good out there. I could feel your ki running dry, but you kept going. That's the kind of spirit I expect from my students.”

“What do you mean you sensed me?” Maeyo did not understand this concept of ki sense. It was an alien idea to him. No one knew how to sense ki on his planet.

Master smiled at this. “Don't worry. I'll show you another day. Let's get back on track. I have some more dummies set outside for you. Let's head out.” Master started out the dojo room to head to a balcony. Down some steps, there was a large fountain with a contraption.

“The blue dummies are the targets. The red ones are just there. The targets move around randomly. Hit fifteen blue dummies without hitting any of the red ones and we'll go from there. Just stand on the platform marked with an X when you're ready and I will turn on the machine.”

Maeyo took a moment to observe the spacing between his targets and the other dummies. He did not know whether the dummies would move, but he was ready to try. He gave a nod and went down to stand on the platform marked with an X.

“Get ready!”

Maeyo waited. “Ready,” he shouted back. Master pulled a lever. The targets started to move around. Maeyo took him and shot down the farthermost targets. He destroyed one on the right and one on the left. Master told him only to destroy 15, but he wanted to destroy all of the blue dummies before time ran out. He shot through one that was between two red targets. Then, he shot another through the head. After a few minutes, he had shot fifteen, but he was sure to destroy all. With a minutes to spare, he destroyed the last target available.

Master pulled down the lever and the machine whirled down. He smiled at his student. “That's ok, but if you wanted to kill all of the blues, you missed one.” He indicated a blue target in the far back.

Maeyo shook his head. “That's not blue. The color of that target is indigo. I'm going to go get water. I'll be right back,” he bowed, then left the balcony to go get some water. The Master was left behind. A smile formed under his thin mustache.

“He's more observant than the others. That's really something special, though I can't say where he got that funky look from. Ha-ha!”

Maeyo walked up the steps and found a water fountain. “Hmm, how do I..” He curiously drew down the handle on the side of the fountain. Cool, clear water sprouted from the fountain. “Oh! I see.” He bent down and drank from the fountain. The cool water nourished his system. Once he was satisified, he returned to Master Commander.

“So, when will we fly,” Maeyo asked, narrowing his eyes. “You sure are eage. Okay. This is how you do it. Use the same manner to draw your ki, only place it under your feet. This will allow you to levitate off the ground.

Maeyo did so. He was able to levitate off the ground on his first try. “Wow, you must be a natural. Most students just fall on their a** the first time.” Maeyo levitated higher and then pushed his ki harder, which allowed him to soar all about the sky.

“That's it Maeyo!”

As Maeyo flew around, he couldn't help but chuckle. A Human has taught the future God to fly, how amusing!

Maeyo landed after he had finished with his thrill ride. He crossed his arms over his chest. “What next?”

“Ki sensing. Close your eyes.”

Maeyo smirked. “What good is ki sensing when I can fly?”

“Don't get too cocky, my young student. You show promise, but don't let that get to your head. What good is flight if you cannot find your opponent. Now, close your eyes.”

Maeyo closed his eyes and put his arms down to his sides. “Follow my voice,” Master started to leave the room and hummed a tone. Maeyo followed him with his eyes clothes by listening to his Master's voice. In a dark, empty room, Maeyo was suddenly left alone.

Maeyo tried to open his eyes when he could not hear anything, but all he saw was darkness. He could not see anything!

What's going on? Am I blind?

“No. You are in the Dampening Room. In here, no sensation can be felt. If you wish to escape, you must find me by sensing my ki. Concentrate!”

Maeyo wondered how he could hear the man's voice in the room. He shot a ki blast, could not hear or see it. He tried to say something, but he could not feel the movement of his own lips or the sound made by his voice.

Hmm, he's right. I can't even speak out loud.

After calming himself down, he finally found something. It felt weird, but somehow he was able to feel his Master's presence. He turned around and poked his Master's head. “Found you,” he claimed. He no longer had need of sight to detect his Master.

“Excellent. Follow me.” He followed Master back to the original dojo room. In the room, master and student sat alongside each other.

“You have made excellent progress today. Let us have a lunch break.” Master pulled out lunch, which consisted of cookies and home-made tea. “This tea will cleanse your mind and ready your for combat. The cookies just taste really good,” he admitted, with a laugh. “Haha, try some.”

Maeyo welcomed the short peace. He tried a cookie and liked it. "This is a cookie? I must know how to make some!" He ate a number of cookies. "That's good enough, haha. Leave me some, student. Just stay here for a bit. I'll be back." Master left the room to leave Maeyo to enjoy the snack.

A soft giggle emitted from Sylra's lips as she follows through with the attack, her body bending smoothly as she folds backwards and falls back onto her feet in order to be standing once again. As she rises to her feet she casually begins to move forwards towards her fallen opponent while shifting and then raising a single hand and fire a blast of ki from her extended hand towards her opponent, they appeared to still be good to go, and continue fighting. Though if Nyx wasn't, this ki attack may just be a small issue that may result in too much of an injury. Though it was going to take a moment or two before this was really known, Sylra took the risk in continuing the fight as if it was a fight out in the real world, where there was really no mercy in a battle. Smiling slightly at the compliment she was just given, she would continue with her onslaught, not giving her opponent the chance to compose themselves in any way. Moving forwards swiftly, she applies just enough Ki to her feet, that it would make her that much more lighter. A variation off of the Flight technique, which would allow for her to zoom forwards head on at her opponent in the attempt to get herself as close as possible, before swinging a single punch towards her opponent's face, her other hand readying itself for the second punch, or at least that was what it seemed.

Nyx Solo ~ Kame House student

It seemed the other wanted to continue with the fight but Nyx had a feeling that it was getting late. She threw up another Ki shield when Slyra shot a ki blast at her. Just to make sure that they could call a time out, Nyx quickly shot up high into the air by flying. "Time out! Slyra! Do you wanna stop? We can both go to where we need to go so do you wanna call it a draw or something?" asked Nyx.

Maeyo munched lightly on the fours, large cookies. Well, he was only chewing on one cookie at a time. He could not fit all four cookies in his mouth. Only a Majin could fit large cookies, not a Makyan as he was.

As he was eating, he began to wonder why his ancestors had wanted to rule this planet. He looked down at the cookie he was holding. He smiled after he swallowed.

Must have been these! My goodness, I have never tasted anything so good in my entire life! Not at home, anyway! I need to learn how to make these.

After he finished eating and drinking, he lied down on the floor. All that training had tired him out. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. In his sleep, he dreamnt of home. He never once had seen his real home planet, the planet called Makyo. He imagined what it must have looked like. It was red and dark; it sounded comfortable to him. He had learned this from his mother and father.

To make things more interesting, Sensei Fukuro forced Silva to use flight to reach some of the hiding places up off the ground. This taught the feline to get higher than three feet off the ground and hover at higher heights. Next it was a timed match of hide and seek as the two continued this exercise. Just then Silva felt other ki energies nearby of other pupils and their teachers training. Sensei, did you feel that just now? he asked curiously as it seemed that a sparring match had just ended in the distance. And from here he felt a hint of the colliding ki. I did,” the instructor nodded and dropped back down to the ground below. The feline followed and landed much easier on his hind feet. Standing on two legs he faced Sensei Fukuro, catching his breath.

I see we’re pushing you to your limits. How far are you willing to go? the instructor asked in a serious tone. Crossing his arms across his chest he looked to Silva from ear tip to toe. Silva willed himself to stand tall and tap into his strength to keep going. I’m ready, sensei. Please let’s keep going. Finding this a good opportunity to take a small break Sensei Fukuro showed him another glowing orb of ki. Remember this from your previous lesson? Now as you gather ki, it grows. Moving on will be the ki blast. Like so. The feline watched as his teacher got into a fighting stance. With a quick trust of his hand forward and shot out a ki blast towards the nearest tree. HAH! Wha!? Silva couldn’t believe it! The tree smoldered with the damage from the blast. I’m gonna do that? With a little luck, the instructor smirked. But you’ll need to power up before you try that. Right now your ki lacks force. Plus you'll need to learn a defence move. Focus on your ki and push it to its limits. Turn that flickering flame into a raging wild fire, like this. Sensei Fukuro crouched down in his stance and pushed his power to rise. Hahhhhhh! His body was suddenly surrounded by a white aura. The feline watched and studied his teacher, following in stance and focus. Hah! Deep focus tapped into the remaining ki and sent it ablaze after a few tries.

Silva’s body was engulfed in a yellow aura. Just as his teacher taught him earlier he channeled his ki and punched out a wave of ki towards the same tree. However it lacked power and didn’t quite do as much damage. But it struck nonetheless. Again and again the feline repeated the technique under the watchful eyes of Sensei Fukuro. Suddenly a ki blast came flying back at him. He turned his ki from a blast into a shield for the instructors surprise attack from hitting him in the nose. Finally he was tiring and felt he couldn’t keep up much more. Wavering in his stance he plopped down on his butt. Sensei… please can we take a break? he pleaded. Fine. But back to business once your done catching your breath. Silva smiled and bowed respectfully, thank you sensei.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dropping down onto all fours the feline scampered back into the school / dojo. Suddenly the scent of cookies caught his attention and he followed his nose towards one of the rooms down the narrow hallways. I wonder what’s in here… yymmmm cookies. Peeking his head into one of the rooms he looked to find a Majin laying on the floor with some cookies nearby. Silva crouched low to the floor and lightly snuck into the room. Sniffing the air he followed his nose around Maeyo and crawled over to the nearby cookies.
Maeyo was rudely awaken by a kick to his side. His eyes were forced open and he was Master Commander. "Get up, soldier. You've gone one final test before I let you move on. Don't you want to get outta here?"
The Makyan smirked. Oh, how great were his plans, but first he had to get out of here. He stood up and faced his instructor. "We are going to fight, you and I. I hope you're good to go, because I'm not going to hold back."
Maeyo distanced himself. "I never expected that from you. Come at me, Master Commander."
Master smirked too. "You're too much. Here I go!" Master ran forward and punched Maeyo in the face. Maeyo staggered back, then shot a ki blast into Master's stomach. Master took the blast, but ignored the pain. Still, Maeyo charged forward. He tried to kick Master, but Master laughed and disappeared. Maeyo saw an image of Master and kicked it, but Maeyo fell through the illusion.
"I knew it," Master said, and showed himself. "You fell for my After Image technique."
Maeyo picked himself up. "After Image? What's that?"
"It's a technique which fools the opponent. Don't worry about it too much. It's too advanced for you."
"No. I want to learn. Please."
Master grinned. "Pin me down for three seconds and I'll teach you."
Maeyo ran and tried to push the Master Commander. Master Commander fell, but got up again. The two exchanged blows for a while. Then, they tired out, both panting.
"I have not had a work out like this in a very long time," Master said, then he laughed.
Maeyo ran ahead, stopped, ran to the left, stopped, and so on. This confused Master. "What are you--" Suddely, Maeyo popped from under Master and gave him an uppercut. He stunned Master long enough to hold him down for three seconds.
"Good kid. Ok. You win. I'll teach you!"
Maeyo let go of the man and helped him up. "Thank you, Master."
Master stood up tall and smiled. "Full of surprises. You're just full of surprises, soldier. This is it. After this, there's no more I can show you. But, you can still come visit around, if you want. I won't mind at least."
Maeyo smiled. He nodded his head. "Then, let us commence."
Master nodded too. "The technique is simple in theory, but difficult to execute. You need to move as fast as possible to leave the after-image. So, we need to build up your speed. There's a special course outside designed to help you increase your speed. Let's go to it."
Master took Maeyo outside again. The course was located in a separate building. It was long and lengthy; it was filled with different terrain like rocky, hilly, snowy, wet, dry, and so on and so forth. Maeyo approached the course. Master walked him up to the first level.
Master said, "The track is ready. I'll go with you on this one. It's been a while since I have had a shot at playing on this thing again. One."
Maeyo got ready as Master counted down to three. "Two. Three. GO!"
Maeyo ran across the rocky terrain. It was hard because there were rockys to trip over so he had to be careful not to fall and get hurt over them. There was a gap which he had to jump over too. He completed the course, thus learning the After Image technique. Maeyo said his good-byes, afterward.
"Thanks for the training, Master Commander."
"Don't mention it. Here, take this with you, though I think you won't need it anymore." Master handed him the halberd.
"Thanks anyway. Bye." He took his halberd, bowed, and walked out of the dojo a new man.
Silva just about snuck over to the cookies Maeyo left when the sound of footsteps suddenly caught his attention. Ears perked upright he briskly scampered out of the dorm and down the hallway to turn the corner as Maeyo’s master had returned. He remained crouched down beside the wall and remained as silent as possible to hear the two leave. His heartbeat was racing at the thought that he could have been caught. Not evil by nature his ‘alley cat’ instincts just about got the better of him this time. So used to nabbing food when he can he’d have to learn that the world of the streets was no longer a problem.
As the footsteps faded away the feline prowled back to the room and found crumbs of the cookies on the floor. A flicker of his tail and twitch of his ears he hurried inside and licked up a few of the larger cookie pieces left behind. With a soft purr and smirk on his lips he fled from the room and headed back outside to the training grounds. Finding another tree Silva climbed up once more, finding a steady branch to flop down on and close his eyes in sweet bliss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Unsure of how much time passed he suddenly woke up to the feel his teacher’s ki lingering up in the higher branches again. Silva wasted no time waking up and ready to fight. Balancing his weight on the branch he stood up on his hind feet and powered up his ki. Raarrrrrr! It only took two tries until the glow of a yellow aura appeared around his body. He clenched his front paw into a fist and thrust it forward in a punching motion to send a round of ki blasts up into the tree. His attack was countered with some blasts coming back straight at him. The feline leapt from one branch to another in an attempt to dodge.

Just then Sensei Fukuro quickly appeared in front of him, hands up to each side of his face with a shout, Solar Flare! Before Silva even had a chance to blink he was blinded by a bright flash in his eyes. Rarr! he let out a yelp and lost his balance, falling out of the tree to the ground below. With a rough thud he felt his body connect with the solid earth. Pushing himself up onto all fours he blinked and tried to shake the brightness from his vision. Sensei! Why can’t I see? the feline began to panic. In all the bumps and bruises he’s taken in life not once had he been temporary blinded.

Solar Flare, Sensei Fukuro spoke. As you can tell it’s a defense move that blinds the opponent for a short time. With the power of light you can blind just about anyone. I’ll teach it to you when you’ve got your vision back. The instructor sat down at the base of the tree with his arms folded across his chest. Silva brought his paws up to frantically rub his eyes until the blinding light faded back to the surrounding landscape. Alright sensei, I can see again.

His teacher snapped back to reality and pulled out a pair of sunglasses to protect his eyes. Now listen closely. This move is easy in theory but a bit difficult to actually do. Harness the element of light and let it flow through you in a burst. Put your paws to the side of your head and focus on a ball of light bursting like the rays of the sun. Make sure to call out ‘Solar Flare’ when you wish to unleash the burst. Silva listened closely and did as his teacher told him. Positioning his paws on either side of his face / head and imagining a burst of light he shouted, Solar flare! But nothing happened. This seemed to be easier said than done. He concentrated harder and tried again. Solar flare! Still nothing. Sensei… he was growing unsure how this was going to work. Before he could blink he found Sensei Fukuro’s face right in front of his nose. Startled he shouted once more, SOLAR FLARE! That bit of a startle triggered the feline to take it one step up and give off a flare. Even if just a small flicker of light right now. It was a good thing his teacher was wearing sunglasses to deflect the sudden flash.

Looking back to when he first arrived at this school, Silva didn't think he had what it takes to even sense ki. And he didn't exactly get along with Sensei Fukuro right away. Yet now he had greater respect for his teacher as a pupil should. With learning the solar flare he wondered what more the instructor had left to teach him. That last technique took a bit more out of him and he found himself trying to stay awake. A heafty sigh under his breath he laid down at the base of the tree and curled up on the ground with his jade gaze still fixed to his teacher.

Sensei Fukuro realized that they were getting to the limits of the feline's power. Not a simple break would be good enough for the last technique he needed to teach. "Stay here. I'll be right back," this time his tone was a little more softer. Leaving the feline to nap under the tree he turned about and briskly walked back towards the school. Not long later he returned with two bowls of steaming ramen. Each with a piece of chicken, egg, veges, noodles, and a special sauce. Casually he sat down beside Silva and leaned up against the tree. Setting down one bowl for the feline he then began to eat his raman with a pair of chopsticks.

The delicious auroma tickled the feline's senses and stirred him awake from his slumber. "yymmm. It smells delicious sensei. Thank you," he was delighted and grateful for the gesture. He sat up and placed the bowl in his lap, taking the chopsticks with his front paw and started to chow down. Once the pair had finished their meal together they laid back against the tree and fell asleep.

Pulling back from her attack, Sylra slowly nods her head and recomposes herself. "I suppose you're right then. It would probably be best if we both headed out and begin training elsewhere." She says with a slow nod, before turning and beginning to walk away. "We will meet each other again in the future I'm sure, and the battle may not be so one sided.." She says, before turning her head and sticking her tongue out at her former opponent. As soon as she turns back to continue walking away, she breaks away and then takes off, having studied and noticed it enough, all she had needed was a little bit of battling to take hold of how flight would work. With the application of a little Ki upon her feet and around her body, she managed to take off and enter a mode of flight that she did not believe she was going to be capable of. it was an interesting little time she had had in this Academy, and now things should be a little more interesting on the outside, though that was hard to be certain, everything changes one way or another after all.

Sensei Fukuro was the first to stir awake. He opened his eyes and stretched his arms above his head, then poked Silva in the side. Hey sleepy-head. Time for your last lesson. Silva felt the nudge in his ribs and woke up from his nap. With a yawn he reached up to rub the sleep from his eyes with his paw. Last lesson? he asked curiously, not sure if he heard his teacher correctly. Sensei, there’s so much you can teach me. How can there only be one more lesson?

The instructor pushed himself back up onto his feet and waited for the feline. There’s only so much you can do here at this school. And, he paused for a moment to find the right words. You’ve grown in your skills since you first came here. Now enough talk. Follow me. Sensei Fukuro led Silva to a specially designed course with different terrains and obstacles. It’s time to show you how to perform an after image. In a fight you leave an image of yourself for your opponent to attack while you’re two steps ahead of them. Go ahead, come at me with a kick.

What!? the feline looked shocked to his teacher with wide eyes. But- You won’t hurt me, I promise, Sensei Fukuro assured. Silva leapt up and swiftly turned in mid-air to come at his teacher with a round-house kick. It was like the kick went through thin air yet he thought he seen Fukuro standing there. No way! Totally amazed he landed on all fours and turned to find the instructor standing behind him with arms folded across his chest. See? How did you do that? It’s based on speed. You got to be quicker than your opponent. And I don’t doubt you’ve had to be quick on your feet a few times. We’ll start off by having you run the entire course as quick as you can. With the directions and objective of the course it seemed that the feline was ready to start. As his teacher timed him he maneuvered across the rocky ground, swam through a brook, weaved around wooden posts, and jumped over a large mud trap. Then he had to repeat the course 5 times to better his speed record. One more lap he suddenly felt as if he was light as air. It startled him and he went head over tail into the mud trap.

Fukuro strutted over to the edge of the mud trap and burst out-loud with laughter to see the muc covered feline. hehe I see you felt it huh? Now get out of there and lets see if we’ve made progress. Grumbling under his breath, Silva pulled himself out of the mud trap and shook the mud out of his fur. Suddenly he was taken on by a round of sneak attack ki blasts from his teacher. rraarrrr! he let out a surprised yelp. Swiftly getting up onto his paws he dodged in a zig-zag pattern. Just then he was feeling ‘light as air’ again. Lunging at Sensei Fukuro he left an after image right in front of the instructor and leapt up into the air. For a split second it caught his teacher off guard as he plopped down ontop of Fukuro’s head. How… how was.. that sensei? the feline suddenly felt tired as he gasped for air. Fainting he slumped forward off his teacher’s head and caught in the embrace of those toned arms. Well done, the instructor spoke softly with the hint of a smile. The training was now completed. He carried Silva from the course and back inside the school to a vacant room with bedding and a small wooden table. Gently Fukuro laid the feline down onto the pillow and pulled up the edge of the blanket over his grey fur. Then finding a small glass bowl he filled it up with water and placed it down on the floor nearby. Without another word the instructor left the room to let Silva rest.

An hour later Silva started coming back to his senses. A light groan under his breath he opened his eyes and peered around the room to find no one else around. Wha-? The last thing he remembered was performing the after image to avoid his teacher’s ki blasts. Pushing himself up onto his paws he felt the softness of the pillow and the blanket falling to the floor. Sniffing their air there was a whiff of water nearby. How long have I been out for? he asked himself curiously as he pawed off the pillow and stepped over to the bowl of water. The tip of his tongue brushed over his lips as he lowered his head into the bowl and drank the cool, refreshing liquid. A sway of his tail and twitch of his ears, the feline felt much better now. Drips of water falling from his muzzle he shifted his green gaze around the room once more and then scampered off to go find his teacher. Leaving the room Silva ventured down the hallways and back outside to find his teacher shooting ki blasts at wooden posts. Sensei! he called out and pawed over to Fukuro’s feet.

Fukuro didn’t have to look to see the feline approach. The hint of a smirk on his lips he ceased the ki blasts and turned to face his pupil. Good to see that the last lesson didn’t knock you out permanently, he taunted. For a kitty cat like you. Of course he was baiting Silva to take on the challenge and stand up to the taunting with that inner fighting spirit. He placed his hands on his hips while waiting for some kind of reaction from the feline. Well?

Silva stood up on his hind paws and pointed his front paw at his teacher. His jade eyes narrowed in glare as he wasn’t going to cower from a challenge. He bared his small fangs in a sneer and flicked his tail from side to side in a fighting stance. There was a boast of confidence in the feline’s voice this time. I’ll show ya what this kitty cat can do! Focusing on his ki he started to power up. Rarrrrrr! At first there was a faint yellowish hue emitting from his body. As the feline raised his power, the yellow aura grew bigger and brighter while fueled by that sleeping fighting spirit. Once he raised his power to its limits he took a deep breath and calmed down to suppress it again. Don’t play with fire if ya don’t want to get burned.

Fukuro looked on to his pupil with pride. That smirk on his lips was obvious as he realized that his job here was done. The look on Silva’s face as realization set in could only make him laugh even more. But this time a sincere laugh and renewed hope for this feline’s future. You got spunk kid. Your time here is done, I’ve taught you everything I know. And everything you need to continue onward. The instructor stepped towards his pupil and kneeled down to come eye level. From his uniform shirt he pulled out a large, bold green handkerchief which had some zeni folded up in the fabric. It’s not an easy world out there. Accept this as a going-away present. You deserve it… Silva.

That was the first time Silva ever heard his teacher call him by name. His eyes watering with joy and sadness he reached out with his front paw to take the parting gift. Thank you, sensei. I won’t forget what you’ve taught me. As Fukuro stood back upright the pair bowed to each other in formal farewells. But this wasn’t goodbye – just 'see you soon'. The feline then raised his head to peer up at his former teacher with those jade eyes. I’ll come back to visit again. A wave of his paw he tightly held onto his gift and soared up to the sky overhead. The instructor stood there and watched as Silva disappeared into the distance. And I’ll be right here waiting. There was a proud smile on Fukuro’s lips as he silently wished the feline safe travels.

~Once the cashier shop Lord Zhou nodded “I’ll take it” He pulled out his bag of cash and poured it onto the counter. “How much do you need?” “Fifteen hundred zeni will do the job.” Lord Zhou sighed while counting up the cash. He had exactly fifteen hundred left over from buying transportation, food and clothes. “Here it is” He said as he handed the money over to the cashier. She reached up and pulled Janemba’s Dimension Blade off of the wall then handed it over to Lord Zhou.

~Lord Zhou then put the dimension sword on his waist next to the katana he already owned and started to walk out of the building. “Thanks, I appreciate it.” He said as he raised a hand up, giving a slight wave while walking out of the door. Lord Zhou looked over to Vi after buying his new sword “Alright let’s get out of here.” Vi noticed the new sword and tried touch it. Lord Zhou noticed her finger creeping closer and closer. “Don’t…” Vi quickly pulled her hand back. Lord Zhou started walking and Vi followed at his side… “If you’re gonna follow me around you at least need to get stronger.”

~Lord Zhou and Vi finally arrived at West City Academy after a long walk. “Time for you to do your thing” he said as he sent Vi in and followed behind her. They saw everyone in the academy training with an instructor. A young man walked up to Vi and handed her a sheet of paper. “The following technique list is techniques that most warriors should know before braving the great beyond in search of fame and or fortune. The very fact that you've made it to our prestigious school says a lot on your part.

~Feel proud that you've been chosen, for many not unlike yourselves have failed at coming this far.” Vi smiled as the man spoke to her but she looked confused as she looked at the sheet. It appeared as though she didn’t know how to read. “Let me see that.” Vi handed the paper over to Lord Zhou. He looked at a list of everything that could be taught at the West City Academy. The list read “Sky Dance Technique, Ki Sense, Ki Blast, Power-Up, Energy Shield, Solar Flare, and the After Image.” The description of each technique was after the title.

~Lord Zhou sighed, “I could have taught you this stuff on the way to the academy.” Lord Zhou and Vi watched the instructors and students at work. “I’m gonna teach you this, this, this, this, and this one.” Lord Zhou pointed to four techniques on the list that he planned on teaching to Vi. He didn’t think the other ones were necessary. He was going to teach Vi how manipulate her ki energy to the point where she would be able to fly so they won’t have to pay for public transportation. Then he was going to help her enhance her ability to sense ki.

~The ability to sense the location, life force and power level of an ally or enemy is important for any warrior. That was Lord Zhou’s reasoning behind picking that one. And Vi creating an energy shield to defend herself would be important as well. The last thing Lord Zhou would teach Vi how to do is move so fast that her image would be left behind. Learning each of these techniques shouldn’t take too much time so they decided to get started right away. Lord Zhou explained to Vi the process of how to fly.

~Then his body slowly rose a few inches off of the ground. “We’ll start slow, try to follow me.” Lord Zhou said as he looked down to Vi. She tried to mimic him and started by standing on the tip of her toes while pushing off. Lord Zhou landed on back on the ground as Vi tried to fly. Her initial attempts were futile but after a couple minutes she got into the air. She her ki control fluctuated which made it hard for her to stay on balance while in the air. “Calm down…”

~Vi closed her eyes and focused then her ki stopped fluctuating and she balanced out. “Good, good…” After a few minutes of practicing flying around the West City Academy Vi landed and got ready to continue her training. “Are you ready for the next technique?” Vi nodded as Lord Zhou spoke to her. “Alright then… The next thing I will teach you is Ki Sense. Ki sensing will give you the ability to sense the location, life force and power level of anyone. The closer you are to someone, the more power you’ll be able to since. Their strength affect how far you can feel then from as well.”

~“You get all of that…” Vi nodded once again. Lord Zhou then explained how she would be able to use the ability. There was no real way of Lord Zhou knowing if she had mastered the technique or not so he told her to give him a signal once she had it down. She focused on Lord Zhou as her sensory target. After a short while Vi was able to easily sense the location, life force an power level of everyone in the academy. She was surprised to notice that her own power level was higher than Lord Zhou’s own power level.

~With the Ki Sense know mastered by Vi she signaled to Lord Zhou that she had it down. “Ok good, time to move on.” Lord Zhou said as he stood up and got ready to continue teaching Vi some more. Just as he got ready to speak Vi’s stomach began rumbling. She put her hands on her stomach and rubbed it. Lord Zhou sighed, “I gotta buy her some more food.” He thought to himself as she came closer to him. “Let’s get out of here so you can eat and we’ll return later, sounds good?”

~Vi nodded when Lord Zhou asked her about going out to eat. Lord Zhou got set and walked out of the door. They headed to a local buffet in West City. When they got there Lord Zhou only paid for Vi to eat. They were seated and Lord Zhou only asked for some water. Vi filled up multiple plates full of food; one in each hand with one gripped by her tail. She took her plates to the table and began chowing down on her food. Lord Zhou only drunk his water and watched her eat, disgusted at her appetite.

~While Vi ate Lord Zhou thought back to when he first used the Dimension Blade. Lord Zhou and Vi were traveling from the Antique Store right after Lord Zhou had purchased the Dimension Blade and they were walking to Lord Zhou’s home in the Break Wasteland. They walked for many miles, passing through various towns to get to the Break Wasteland. They decided to walk because Lord Zhou was low on money and couldn’t afford any more public transportation. When they finally reached the outskirts of the Break Wasteland they were attacked by a small group of bandits.

~There were five bandits altogether, including the female leader who was referred to as Fox. There were four male bandits names were Wolf, Bear, Lion and Panther. The whole crew wore the fur of their respective animal names. Their goal was to recapture Vi to sell her as a slave. It seemed like When Lord Zhou had found Vi she was escaping from the bandits and they had been following the trail of Lord Zhou and Vi ever since. Wolf and Bear attack first without warning under Fox’s instruction. “Get Down!” Lord Zhou shouted to Vi as the bandits launched themselves at him.

~Vi ducked down to the ground and covered her head. Lord Zhou pushed the hilt of his blade up, hitting Wolf in the chin, breaking the jaw upon contact. Bear tried to slash Lord Zhou across the chest but it was easily dodged. Lord Zhou was five times faster than Bear, he could predict Bears moves as if he were reading Bear’s mind. Lord Zhou grabbed Vi and threw her up over his back. She held on to his neck as he prepared to do battle with the bandits. Wolf gave out a loud howl and the other three bandits came over to regroup with the other bandits.

~The bandits helped Wolf up and they got ready to attack again. Vi weighed down Lord Zhou but he was still confident enough in his own speed to continue through with the fight. Lord Zhou gripped the Dimension blade tightly and dashed towards the opponents. Panther attacked first but Lord Zhou only created a portal between the two making both pass through, into an alternate dimension. Then Lord Zhou came out of the other end leaving Panther in the alternate dimension. Lord Zhou appeared over the head of the bandits.

~With one swift swing of the Dimension Blade Lord Zhou sent out a thin purple energy wave to slice through the bandits. Wolf noticed the glowing shine of the purple energy and he quickly moved over Fox to give her cover and the energy passed through Wolf. Bear tried to jump out of the way but the energy passed through his legs. Wolf said a few last words to Fox then his body split in half horizontally, falling on Fox. Bear landed on feet after trying to out maneuver the energy, but it appeared as though his attempt to protect himself was futile.

~When he landed, the rest of his body dropped off of his feet and fell onto the ground. Bear screamed out in pain while Fox was too terrified to move. “You can get down now.” Lord Zhou said to Vi while putting the Dimension Blade back inside of its sheathe. Vi let go of Lord Zhou and slid down his back, landing on the ground. Then they continued to the Beak Wasteland. With Lord Zhou’s intense sense of hearing, he heard Bear screaming for miles as he and Vi traveled to his home. “That was a good test.” Lord Zhou thought to himself as he continued walking.

~After thinking back to when he and Vi were attacked by bandits he noticed that Vi had finished all the food she ate and was coming back with more plates of food. He sighed and shook his head slightly but he was glad they were at a buffet and all the food was paid for at a standard price. The waiter came back to the table and asked Lord Zhou if he needed a refill. He responded by saying “No thanks.” So the waiter moved on to another table.

~As Vi ate her next set of food Lord Zhou thought back to when he had to cut off Vi’s tail. After Lord Zhou had defeated the bandits and made it to Break Wasteland, Vi stayed with Lord Zhou a his place. It was night time when they got to Lord Zhou’s place. He showed Vi around his home and where she’d be staying. Afterwards he went into his room to meditate and Vi went to her room. Before she went to sleep, she gazed upon the stars in the nearby window. She spotted the full moon and her eyes were locked in.

~Vi’s muscles began expanding and her pupils disappeared. Lord Zhou felt the sudden surge in Vi’s ki so he grabbed his Dimension Blade. Vi began growing at a rapid rate and brown fur started to grow around her body. She burst through the roof of Lord Zhou’s home and released a giant energy beam from the mouth. Lord Zhou was inside of his home looking up at the massive beast that Vi had become. Lord Zhou knew that he would have to stop her as soon as possible. He started by trying to reason with her.

~Vi had lost her ability to reason and she began crushing buildings and destroying homes. Lord Zhou stepped in front of her and shot a ki blast in her face to distract her. This didn’t work as good a planned because Vi managed to quickly reach out and grab Lord Zhou’s. he was lifted into the sky and held in front of Vi’s mouth. Then a bright glow started to from in Vi’s mouth. Lord Zhou realized that she could destroy him with the next attack so he chopped his left arm off with the Dimension Blade just as the beam was being released from the mouth.

~This resulted in him falling to the ground just in time to avoid the beam. He remembered that cutting off the tail of a Saiyan would make them revert back to their normal form. So instead of taking time to regenerate his limb he rushed under Vi and extended his arm up to chop off Vi’s tail. The giant tail fell to the ground and Vi slowly began reverting back to normal. The fur went away and Vi changed back into the little girl she was. Lord Zhou focused on his arm then a new one extended from the stump he had for a short time.

~Lord Zhou looked around at all the Namekians outside just being spectators. He walked over and picked up Vi while she was passed out. He threw her over his shoulder and carried her back into his home and laid her down. Then he went back into his room to meditate… The next morning Vi woke up the see the trashed house and the sun shining through the gaping hole that use to be a ceiling. Then she got up off of the mat, noticed that her tail was gone and began to panic.

~She ran to find Lord Zhou and she saw her tail on the counter and Lord Zhou was just looking outside. “You won’t need that anymore, pack up your stuff we’re getting out of here and heading to West City.” Vi followed instruction’s and got ready to leave. Soon they headed out to West City. Lord Zhou’s goal was to help Vi get stronger so she could protect herself… Vi tapped on the table then Lord Zhou then realized that she was done eating. “It’s about time.” He said as he left a tip and headed out of the restaurant with Vi following behind him.

~It was still daylight outside so Lord Zhou decided that he and Vi would continue and finish their training up. They headed back to the West City Academy. When they arrived they we greeted again, Lord Zhou responded by telling the guy that they had already been here before and they didn’t need any assistance. They went over to their own corner alone to continue training. “Alright Vi, back to work…” Lord Zhou had already taught Vi how to fly and to sense ki.

~“Ok the next thing I will teach you how to do is create an energy shield with the use of ki. The energy shield will be able to protect you from energy and physical attacks. The strength of the energy shield is based on how much ki you put into it. So if someone uses a strong attack and you don’t use enough ki to defend against it then your attempt will pretty much be useless. Unless there’s some strategy you have in mind.” Lord Zhou extended his right and left arms, shouted,, then a small energy field formed over Lord Zhou’s body.

~The energy faded away shortly after appearing. Lord Zhou had no reason to keep it up since he only wanted to give Vi a brief example of what he wanted her to do. Vi easily mastered this technique. She held her right and left hands out just as Lord Zhou had shown her. Then she opened to mouth to give out what would have been a shout if she could make a sound and released the ki. A barrier that appeared to be a transparent black came up just like Lord Zhou’s purple barrier. Lord Zhou smiled, he was glad that she was able to master the technique so easily.

~Shortly after the barrier was formed, Vi let it down and got prepared for the last technique Lord Zhou planned on teaching Vi. “Alright Vi, the last thing I will teach you is the afterimage. It is an ability that will allow you to move so swiftly that an image of you will be left behind. You can use it to dodge an incoming attack or get behind the opponent to perform a counter-attack… Understand?” Vi nodded and before she knew it Lord Zhou’s image had faded away and he was standing behind her.

~She quickly turned around to spot Lord Zhou but by the time she turned her head that image was fading away and Lord Zhou was back in his original position. Vi liked this technique, she tried it immediately but she was only moving as fast as possible and there was no after image being left behind when she moved. She continued trying and trying until eventually she left the after image behind her. Then she started to practice until she had the technique completely mastered. “That’s good Vi, you’ve done enough. We can get out of here.” Lord Zhou said once he saw that she had the technique mastered.

~Vi held up one finger to let Lord Zhou know that she wasn’t ready yet. She started listening to another instructor explain to another student how the Solar Flare is done. “Solar Flare The technique is performed by the user placing their hands close to the center of their face with the fingers spread toward their eyes. The user then calls out the name and a blinding blue light fires out that blinds everything watching except the user, since they are projecting the light.

~Due to the fact this is simply a flash of light, it will work regardless of any gap in power between the user and the target. This technique is defensive rather than offensive, and is mainly used as way to gain the upper hand or in order to make hasty retreat. Because of the nature of the attack, it has almost always been extremely effective. The technique is rendered useless if opponent is wearing sunglasses or if they close their eyes.” Vi gave the technique a quick shot before leaving. She placed her hands close to the center of her face with the fingers spread towards her eyes.

~“Solar Flare!” Her lips moved but no sounds came out. Vi released a small flash of light that blinded Lord Zhou. “Damn it” Lord Zhou said as he put his hands up over his eyes. Vi rushed to him to see if he was ok when he put his hands to his face. The flash was weak so after a few seconds the effect of the flash had worn off of him. Lord Zhou was annoyed but he told Vi to come on and they headed out of the door. Vi followed Lord Zhou walking a step diagonally from him.
