Sho looked to her daughter and then the sick stallion. "You shouldn't be up walking around sir, lay down and stop moving.." She took the herbs to him and dropped them at his feet surely he was far too gone with delirium to be lectured at this time.
Scoffing, She made her way towards the exit where Magic sat waiting for her. Stopping she looked back. "Honest mother.. he just saved me from a hungry cat. and well we got stuck in the storm so we found shelter... It's why I didn't come home..." She huffed an exasperated sigh. Sniffling and attempting not to cry from the lecture being dished out over a miss understanding. "Besides.. he doesn't really ever talk so it's not like I really know what he's ever thinking.. his ..... gestures certainly get jumbled and don't tell me much of anything.. and he's stubborn to boot.. so you'll need me here to help you get him better..."

Wait, why was she leaving? His thoughts were panicked as he saw Bri heading out. He glanced down to the herbs, and even fuzzy headed and blurry eyed, he recognized some of these. She needed them. Why had the healer give them to him? Couldn't anyone do anything these days? He pulled aside one that was good, when crushed for dealing with fever, but it was bitter, so he always crushed it before ingesting. Chewing made his mouth rebel worse then words when the taste was so foul. He found a wide leaf, set the herb on it and crushed it quickly with a hoof, constantly glancing up at Bri, panicked. She couldn't leave, she needed this medicine. As soon as he crushed enough, he tried to get both ends of the leaf in his mouth, without taking in the middle. It took him five tries. Finally he lifted it and walked, shakily, towards her.
He only made it by sheer force of will. She needed this medicine. That was what mattered. When he got to Bri, he put the leaf down in front of her...then fell beside it, sides heaving. He did what he could, she had to eat it. Had to.

Sighing, she shook her head. "What are we going to do with you, silly male.. "YOU NEED THESE HERBS YOU ARE THE ONE SICK!" She thought maybe his ears had been stuffy and so he hadn't heard them when talking... hooves surely couldn't pry a stallion's mouth open to tump meds into his mouth.. She glanced back at Magic giving her a 'help please' look.
"For the love of..." She stood up, padding over and with her more dexterous paws grabbed the stallion's muzzle and attempted to pry his mouth open, half laying on his neck in the process, little black fuzzy but wiggling to sty and keep ready in case he attempted to get even stupider with them."

The shadow was back and it was on him! fighting him! It might attack Bri! He tried to struggle up, tried to get away with the thing so it didn't launch itself at the silly filly. If she had just taken the medicines, maybe she'd be better by now, enough to escape, but she wasn't even trying to flee. He felt his mouth being forced open as he struggled, looking desperately at her, trying to will her to get away while she could. No reason they should both be killed.

Briallan wondered what must be going through his mind having magic on him. She stifled a giggle before picking up the leaf and pouring the crushed up leaves into his mouth with some doing. "Magic.. hold his mouth shut till he swallows that... he'll probably fight you more.. but.. at least his fever will go down..."
Magic nodded and with her paws tried to hold his mouth shut as best as she could so he couldn't spit out the leaves. all the while thinking how big a favor this was and that both mares now owed her a good fish to nibble on later.
Shoshana had to chuckle at this spectacle. It really was a funny sight seeing both bear and mare gang up on a stallion in order to get him some medical aid. This one most certainly was a dense one... how could she have suspected the worst?

Once the taste hit his mouth, he thrashed more, eyes wide. It took great effort not to kick out with his feet, but he couldn't risk hitting Bri. Or the healer. you shouldn't kick a healer. No matter how tempting it might be sometimes. The feaverfew worked quickly, however, and he had crushed up quite the dose. he felt his eyes closing as his movements slowed. A short nap and the fever would break while he slept. That worked.
Except... he wasn't the sick one.... sleep took him before he could think another thought.

"Well.. at least he's asleep now... hopefully that will help him..." Smirking she nodded letting Magic know she could move now. She couldn't help but to chuckle at the display.
Magic moved thankfully. "You two owe me big time.. I want a nice big salmon for dinner for this mind you..." She scowled at her mistress and went to the shadow of the cave, slumping down to the ground to watch.
Wait, that's all they had to do now, wait and let the herb take effect. "Momma... How long do you think it'll take?" Her eyes never left the now sleeping stallion with a soft fondness, hoping he'd get better soon, not realizing that she'd just let her mother see she had a crush on her savior.

The answer was very near an hour before his eyes slowly opened. They were dry. he closed them again, opened them, closed them. His head hurt, his mouth tasted foul, and why was he on the floor? His fever had broken, though, and he was thinking more clearly. But he was thirsty as a dessert day.

Briallan picked up the empty basket magic had brought food in with earlier and took it outside, setting it down on the ground next to a snow drift. With her nose, she filled the basket with snow before dragging it back inside the ave. Her nose had once more gone numb from the cold but she didn't mind much at the moment. She drug the snow filled basket to him and stopped. "Good, You're awake!" She grinned as she nosed some snow out into another near by divot in the rock floor to melt. "I brought some snow to melt for you to drink.. I'm sure you must be thirsty after your fever broke."

He drank it immediately this time. Well, ate might be more accurate, since he didn't wait for it to melt. It felt like heaven on his tongue. He pushed himself up to his knees, then slowly to his feet. He was still shaky, still weak. But why was she fetching and carrying. She had been the one sick, hadn't she? Then her words sunk in and he gave her a confused look and a flick of his ear, questioning. His fever? Had they both been sick?

"Well.. He certainly didn't take any tome getting the snow down.." Shoshana sounded rather amused with this. "How's your head.. Still stuffy??? Hurt a little?? There's some oak bark you can crush up to help with that if you need it..."
Magic had moved in the time he'd been asleep to cuddle up to Sho and watch it all. Though now she was giggling at how things were starting to come down to seem. "You're right.. He is awfully quiet... he doesn't even mumble in his sleep..."
Briallan looked to see if any of the dry grass was left. "You able to eat anything?? It looks like we still have dry grass left from this morning.. and a few berries.... Magic was good enough to bring it to us while you slept. you were quite ill all night.."

He blinked, listening to them all. What they were saying made sense. With how he was feeling, that he had been sick was a logical conclusion. But she was sick. How had she gotten better so much faster. He flicked his ears at her questioningly. He looked her over carefully. She certainly did not seem ill...

Giving a small giggle she walked around behind him to where her mother and magic lay. "Let me know when you're hungry.. I'll bring the food over to you..." With that, she laid beside her mother. If her wanted to find something more out he'd just have to talk. She was definitely through trying to decipher his...... gestures of doom.
She nosed her daughter some before focusing her attention on the stallion before her. "My daughter seems quite taken with you.. In fact.. I think she may have a bit of a crush on you.." She smiled politely at him though he hadn't yet looked at her.
Briallan attempted to hide her face into Magic's fuzzy mass of heaving giggles. Her face had once more flushed scarlet with embarrassment. She could just Die.

He was so buy giving Sho a confused look that he didn't see Bri blush. Or else he would have worried she was ill all over again. He flicked his ears, questioningly. Taken with him? Taken him where? Well, they were in the cave, but that was a mutual thing, protection against the storm. Listening, he realized that had died down, and he had helped her find her family, so once once he figured what in the world the white mare meant, he could leave, obligation over. A crush on him? No, he didn't feel sore, she hadn't tried to crush him. Had he stopped breathing and she had tried to pound his heart into beating again? Was that what she meant? No, he was sure he would hurt more if she had.

She flicked her ears at the silence he gave. "No answer? Do you not reciprocate her feelings for you then?" She glanced down to her daughter who'd taken to attempting to melt in with magic and hide.
Briallan was too lost for words. And what was worse was his silence. He wasn't saying anything. Had she been wrong to harbor feelings for him? As she thought, the color started to fade from her face to return to the normal white.
