It was almost down - and Malodore saw its opening. This time, it threw a scalpel with pinpoint accuracy, sending the small blade lancing through a crack in the mecha's armor. Another gout of hissing steam erupted!

Riley hurt. Everywhere. But the robot was on fire. It was a glorious sight, and she wasn't about to give up now, just because of a few charred limbs or broken bones. She was about to finish this.
She turned the cannon up full blast, hefted it up against her bloody arm, and aimed directly at the elf inside.
Merry Jackin' Christmas.
The sound of JOY exploding seemed like the ringing of angelic bells to Riley. Or perhaps that was the sound of ringing in her ears from being knocked back against the wall. That cannon's last punch almost ended her, but it was so worth it.

Seeing the robot on fire was a fabulous sight indeed! Astra gave a cheer as the thing continued to burn, but failed to realize that flying around in the air when there is smoke was not a good idea. Pretty soon she began to cough, and almost feel out of the air but managed to save herself, and took refuge on the ground.
Did this mean they would finally be able to reach the goal? She was feeling very tired by this point, if not sore from the various blows she had taken.

Suddenly, after the freak out with the steel hand rocketing through the roof and back, the machine began to malfunction. Sparks flew, smoke plumed and... was that fire? With a few small explosions, the smoke turned black and began pouring out from all sides to replace the thin mist that had coated the room at their entrance.
It was official: Corbin hated having a completely physical body with no hope of doing anything Ghostly. At least at school he could phase through walls and, now that he was without the power to go intangible at a moment's notice, he realized how much his other natural ability was a welcomed burden if he could still do what he was so accustomed to. Smoke filled his lungs and throat, releasing a terrible cough from him and everyone around them. It was harder to see and his blue eyes watered. The subtle liner around his eyes smeared as he clenched his eyes shut.
He heard the Elf scream; it was determined to take them down with it, like a kamikaze. It was close to destruction now, with its increasingly rickety, sporadic movements and jerky posture. Looking around wildly, Corbin found Livi, Laiha and Aksaja and flew down from his attacking height to the three of them. "I think it's gonna blow," he warned hurriedly, urging them to distance themselves as best they could before the impending explosion.

"It's going down!" Sin grinned at her friends and then spotted Riley. Ah, yes Riley needed a little patch up, she gave the bells a quick shake to heal her for 3HP.
"Better stand back..." She murmured taking a few steps away not wanting the mechanized JOY suit to explode or topple over onto one of them. It looked ready to go down and Sin sure hoped it did. She planned to loot this place and then get the heck out, though she'd probably have to go back through Christmas Town, that island, and the forest. Well it would all be worth it once she was back home safe and sound with a victory under her belt.
She couldn't wait to burn her JOYful elf costume either, the stripes made her a bit dizzy. She looked at Riley worried, the other demon still didn't look so hot.

J.P. laugh at the thing and point at it! He wag his tail once again. Then he gave the dang thing a kick! "DIE FOOL!!!!!!!!!!!" He howl out!

Giving a cough as the smoke came spewing out, Jericho snorted while moving in to start trying to tear apart the mech. However, he stopped as he felt Riley fly off of his backside. Glancing back, he saw the Mindflayer, looking rather bloody against the wall. Sin had gone ahead and healed her some, but she was still looking pretty bad.
Figuring that the mech was done for now, having taken that direct hit, the dragon moved over towards her to check up on her. If the mech was going to go kaboom, well then they were going to need to get the jack out of there now.
"Do you still have your pumpkin pills?" he asked her, with a hint of concern in his voice. He had a feeling they weren't quite done with the fighting just yet. Not to mention that if the mech was going to go kaboom, well then they were going to need to get the jack out of there now.

I've still got them. Riley responded, though her voice sounded as if she was speaking to him from underwater. I'll take one. But she just sat there, unmoving. A few beats passed, before she continued in a much quieter voice. When feeling comes back into my arms.

Nodding to her, Jericho just stood by, prepared for whatever was to come next. He was worn down, but not nearly as bad as Riley here. So for the time being he stood in front of her to essentially body block her if need be.
"Nice shot by the way," He added with a mild grin, "But damn that bazooka did a number on you."

Deacon coughed as smoke filled his tiny nostrils, backing up to hide amongst a mass of stacked boxes as fire began to spew from the machine. Soon after, he heard the explosion of Riley's bazooka and risked a peek out. That seemed to do it for the elf... Almost the student that had shot at it, too.
Deacon darted out and moved up near the other students, hoping to actually stay with a group this time around. Sitting back on his haunches, he supported his weight on his back half and rose slightly to fish through one of the coat pockets for the bell he knew he had. Ears pinned back as he glared at it, once he finally got it out, holding it tightly in his paws. He gave the bell a vigorous shake, ringing it to heal Riley.

The lightning dragon grinned fiercely, even though the smoke filling the room made his lungs hurt. The robot was on FIRE, which meant it was probably going to topple over at any moment. "Yes!" he called out, running toward the thing and jumping into the air. He flapped wings once to get some height and then kicked out at the canopy over where the elf was sitting. "DIE!!" Even if the mech was about to fall over, he wanted to get at the thing controlling it...

Junko was glad she didn't need to attack again, coughing up smoke and rubbing at her throat. Ow. She watched as the other students wailed on the robot, her gaze catching on the cat for a moment before forcing herself to turn her gaze away. She stared at the robot. This hadn't been so hard... "Is...this it...?" She looked around, looking a little worried. That couldn't be all they had to handle, right? That would be too easy...

TICK."OH FU-" The explosion rocks through the area, throwing students into and through walls. As they slowly come to, there's only darkness filled with sound of their groaning classmates and the smell of charred metal. Are the mecha and it's Scout truly down? Where did the exit go? What was that ticking sound? Junko blinked and stepped back away from the robot and closer to Sin, gravitating to her side as if doing so would protect her. Tick...tick...GAH! Junko gasped and looked away from the explosion until she was thrown back and against a wall, giving a pained cry of surprise and sliding down to the ground. Owwwwww! Owowowwwww!
...Wait...where did everything go? Junko looked around in a bit of a panic. "Sin..? Riley? Malodore?" Where did everyone go? She groaned as she got back up on her feet until she slipped on a piece of peppermint under her foot, falling back down flat on her a**. Ow! Damnit! Stupid friggin'...she collected seven of the peppermints near her, grumbling about stupid peppermints and stupid robots and stupid walls and stupid everythings. After her small venting episode she stood up again and looked around. "Is everyone alright?"
