* * * Leon looked at Duo as he wrote and kept his arms tightly around his brother before he tilted his head. Shawn had taken the pad once Duo was done writing and he bit his lip. Oh. So that's why Duo was so worried. He let his brother read it then he took note of his brothers reaction before he ran over what to say to the boy in his head. ' Well it's not Vayne's fault... I know that. But if he can't help it... we'll have to find some way to make sure that he calms down. Or... at least a way to help with nightmares. He should never have to deal with this on his own. Did he ever have help? Well that's something I'll have to ask later... for now I'll let them know...' he thought to himself. As he was thinking Leon had unwrapped his arms and sat down on a chair, he got a little dizzy thinking about everything. All this suffering.. and there wasn't that much of an age difference between them. Ugh. Thinking that Vayne hurt himself made him shudder a little and he placed his hand on his head as he shut his eyes,' Why... do people push others?' he thought to himself but his thoughts came out of his mouth next... " It's so wrong to do that..." he muttered and didn't seem to realize, even after he said it, that he said it out loud. Shawn glanced back to his brother before looking at Duo," It will be alright. I will keep an eye out for these self-inflicting attacks and do my best to stop them Duo. If I you trust me to watch over your brother for you, that is, and Leon will be able to watch you if anything happens when Vayne is in one of his states that cause him to be violent." he said and looked at Vayne. His eyes showed worry but he handed Duo back the pad and put his hand on his brother's head. Who was holding it due to a headache. * * *

* * * Max was still leaning on the door and holding his hand on the roof as he watched and he seemed to visibly tense when the woman came closer but he had to relax a second later... seeing as it didn't help his leg in the least. He was taken by surprise, not flinching though, as he felt Kivuli pull his arm over his shoulders. He sighed but allowed the man to help keep his weight up and off of his leg as he watched the woman closer to them but he only swished his tail behind him as he watched her catiously. He allowed himself to be sat down in the chair, curious to what the thing was. He looked up at Kivuli as he caught him in the middle of a thought. The neko frowned and raised his hand up to snap his fingers lightly, getting the other males attention," What is this?" he asked, pointing to what he was sitting in. It looked like... a chair with wheels... but he had no idea. This... this thing wasn't any threat to the neko, though, so he made no moves to leave it. Not that he could anyway. He looked up at Kivuli and leaned back, arms crossed," There's too many people here." he said as he shut his eyes. He wasn't a people person, as if no one couldn't tell, and he only spoke for the man helping him to hear. He then glanced up at him," You really don't know do you? The way people react after you talk to them?" he asked and his hurt leg wasn't bothering him as much now, since he was out of the cramped car, but it was still hurting and he did feel a little better now that they were at... the hospital, or that's what he thought it was called. * * * I swear to you all, I will break out of here when the time is right.

People are cruel.....  Vayne & DuoXXXXXXStraysDuo looked at Shawn and watched him while listening. He was very observant of what people did or unconsciously did. Duo had learned to read people when people thought themselves to be unreadable, and no one was an exception. He had to learn to be that way after being unable to even talk. He smiled slightly and nodded before writing down on the paper again.
'I trust you, brother might not yet, but I trust bother of you more so then anyone we've ever known.' He held it up for them to all look at and Vayne sighed.
"Thanks Duo..." Duo looked at him and smiled widely before putting the note pad on the table. He cuddled up to his brother and Vayne just smiled at him. Having remembered something Duo took the pad tore out the page about his brother and tore it up. "I wasn't going to look at it," Duo made a face at him. He knew his brother would eventually become curious enough to ask to look at it and Duo would eventually give in, but not this time. He got up and walked to the trash can and tossed the papers into the trash. He came back happy, his tail swishing behind him and a smile plastered across his face. "Okay fine.....I was going to be curious....eventually," He shrugged, "Oh well."
Duo went to Leon and took his hand gently. He pointed to the door, quietly asking if they could go outside now. Vayne watched them for a moment and leaned his head against the back of the couch as he closes his eyes, easing the dizziness away for a bit. He felt better now, and he was less edgy as well. He suspected in a few more minutes he would feel 100% better, and be able to sit and stand without being dizzy or nauseated. ........They care for nothing, but themselves.

My world is cold.....  Kivuli ShirotoshiXXXXXXBusiness OwnerKivuli smiled slightly, but it soon vanished having remembered where he was. He spoke as he grabbed the handles to the wheel chair pushed it slowly. His eyes riveted ahead of them and occasionally glanced down to Max whom had asked the question he the nurse opened the door for them to the hospital. "This is a wheel chair," He said softly, "often people use it for hurt or pregnant people. More often for hurt people though since it is more common for them to be coming into the hospital then a pregnant women would." He pushed him to the front desk and spoke with the nurse at the counter briefly as she instructed him to go down the hall and to the left were they treated beings like Max. They were the best doctors for them anyways and were more experienced with how to treat them as well.
He spoke once more when they were on their way down the hall towards their destination. "Wheel chairs are just what they seem to be. A chair upon a set of wheels. Comfortable and usable to get around for people who even don't have the power to walk. Most people who lose functions in their legs often use these chairs in order to get about," As an after thought her whispered for only Max to hear, "Like my Father had too." They slowly cam upon the doctor area for Cursed beings. A doctor greeted them having been informed of their presence. Most doctors knew of him and would always come when he was around. It wasn't the first time he'd been to the hospital and considering his status among the people, most of them aimed to please him and do their best when he came around. Knowing full well he would never skip out on a hospital bill like some people did. Basically you could say his money was the only one keeping the hospital alive in this district. He practically could say he owned it, but he get monthly donations to the man who ran the hospital here to keep it afloat.
He spoke with the man and explained where he'd gotten him and what was wrong with Max. The doctor seemed upset, and had mentioned it wasn't the first time one of the cursed creatures had come there from that wretched shop. He also told him he was allowed to stay with Max as to keep him calm while they figured out what was wrong with his knee and how to deal with it. They would first need x-rays, and some medical gauze and medican to help with the injury and the inflamed area along with pain and swelling. Kivuli knew Max would ask question and he would be happy to answer them as well. ......It must be destiny to be alone.

* * * Shawn had caught the boy watching him but didn't seem to mind. He knew that was how Duo went around things like that. He looked at the paper and smiled slightly. So the boy did trust them. He was glad, he wouldn't let anything happen to any of them. He chuckled as he watched the brothers interacted. He then nodded. " I'm glad Duo. I will try my hardest not to betray that trust." he said and Leon glanced up as he saw it, flushing slightly but saying nothing. He leaned his head on his hand still. Shawn then removed his hand from his younger brother's head. He knew that his brother was glad he was trusted but he was still a bit on edge about some things. Leon then looked up at Duo as the boy took his hand then blinked. Hmm? Oh right. " You want to go out now? Alright... do you need a jacket of some kind?" he asked as he glanced to his brother and got a nod. Leon stood up and, still holding Duo's hand, went to the rack and he let go of Duo's hand to pull on his jacket, it was rather cold outside at the moment. He then pulled Shawn's jacket off the rack and held it out to Duo. He didn't want the boy to freeze. Shawn looked at Vayne then, he couldn't help but think of what would happen. He knew Duo liked Leon considerably well and he thought Vayne would make a good friend once he warmed up to them but what if it was something more? You never really knew... so he could just imagine things that would happen. He smiled at Duo. " Be careful and don't get lost outside, be back in by 6 Leon." he said and nodded his head to the clock. It was around 5:15 so they had a good 45 minutes outside. Leon nodded to his brother before looking at Vayne but back to Duo. * * *

* * * Max sighed as he let his uninjured leg move a little but he used his hands to make sure his knee wouldn't move. He he glanced back to Kivuli as he spoke. He nodded once as he heard the name then the man started talking again. He tilted his head slightly but had kept quiet. Women... well he hadn't seen many. He wasn't sure but said nothing. As they spoke the neko looked around and his eyes were curious but that was broken as he fel the "wheel chair" he was in moved. He looked back to Kivuli and caught the nurse glancing at him and she smiled as he caught her eye but he said or did nothing. He gripped his knee and shut his gold looking eyes and he bit his lip. Better but still bad. If he ever went back there those men would be dead in seconds! He looked back to Kivuli as he spoke.
" I see... so it's not dangerous at all. It's a helper?" he questioned and looked up at the man. He wasn't too fond of the idea that he couldn't walk but as he heard his final statement he blinked. Lose functions? Did that mean he wouldn't be able to walk anymore? " Like... me? Does that mean I can't walk anymore?" he asked and he bit his lip. Obviously not too glad that he may not be able to walk. He dreaded the idea. Ah, his father had to use one. Well that certainly put a damper on things but the boy was secerectly glad he was trusted enough so that he could hear things like that. He knew he wouldn't trust easily but still... that means a lot coming from someone like Kivuli... for some reason. He didn't understand how he felt and so he looked away. The boy shut his eyes again as if to push away thoughts then as he heard someone greeting Kivuli. He didn't catch his name but he opened his eyes and he let his hands rest a little as he leaned his head back a bit, not realizing it was resting on Kivuli's arm.
Upon hearing the tone of the doctor he looked over. His gold eyes were curious but that look quickly faded. He frowned slightly. " So there are others? That shop needs to be gone but before they get kicked out or whatever I'd like a piece of them." he said and his hands went into fists but he couldn't help but grin slightly. Anyone could tell ideas were running through the boy's head and he shook his head to stop them. He looked up at the two men again and listened. He flinched once though, when he heard the word 'X-ray' and narrowed his eyes slightly, he wasn't mad, it was more of a on-edge thing. " What's a X-ray?" he asked Kivuli as he watched the doctor carefully. * * * I swear to you all, I will break out of here when the time is right.

My world is cold..... Kivuli ShirotoshiXXXXXXBusiness Owner Kivuli thought over his questions as the doctor spoke to them. "There is no doubt a lot of us would like to put that place out of business, but It would lead to other problems the county doesn't want to deal with. I wish someone would do something about those dreadful men, They man not be full animals now, but they look human enough to me and they deserve better treatment. I pray some politician out there understands where I'm coming from, so they can have their freedom," The doctor sighed and Kivuli was dead silent. His mind was reeling and coming up with ideas left and right. He knew a way around the laws that never got broken. He would tie it to his business and he would say it was a new trend he wanted to try. He was going to buy out that store and do what he could to save those creatures and give them a better life. The doctor soon turned away to talk with a nurse. Getting X-rays started would take a bit and they would have to wait. Kivuli wheeled the chair over to the seating area before sitting down in one of the chairs. Max's wheel chair close and in good view of the whole room so no one could get the sneak up on them.
He spoke soon after, "No your able to walk, but it would cause you pain. It will be a while before you can probably walk normally again so the wheel chair will be needed for some time," He pondered a bit, "If the break is bad they will either have two options. Put you in a cast which is a hard like substance they wrap your leg in, or they will do sergery and insert metal platelets and screws to mend the bone back together, which would hurt a lot for a long time. Maybe even causing you slight pain even after it heals. I pray it will only be bad enough for a cast. I don't want you to be hurting." He said the last sentence softly, "An X-ray a radiology like photo graph of the inside of your leg. It lets people see how bad a bone has been broken or if it's a fracture. It's pretty neat and the doctors let you see it once their finished taking pictures of it." He smiled slightly at the thought of his first X-ray. It was the same day he'd protected a cat of some kind from getting hit by a car. Sure he got hurt, but at least the cat had been safe and left him once the medics had arrived on scene. He wondered if he would ever see that cat again, or if it had died from being in the wild now. Either way he'd helped a living soul, even though others believed they had none. Sure his father had called him a fool, but he really hadn't cared. It was special to him in some way that he couldn't even explain. ......It must be destiny to be alone.

People are cruel..... Vayne & DuoXXXXXXStraysDuo was glad to hear what Shawnn said, and he look to leon when he asked about going out. He gave a slight nod of his head and he smiled. Now his thoughts ran to what they could do outside. He'd been a stray for a while before becoming what he was now, and there was always something new and exciting to see and he felt the same way still. He looked to the jacket handed to him by Leon and he smiled widely at the kind gesture. He knew the jacket would be a bit big on him, considering Shawn was a bigger guy then he was. He knew he took after his own mother, small and almost feminine like, often had the other ally cats teased him about it, Vayne always stood up for him though, and now Duo knew it was his turn, in his own way. Even if he had to tell the others just how dark Vayne's life has been up till now. Duo's eyes seemed thougful and distant and the smile had vanished a bit till it came back. He knew this new life would be good for both of them and it would heal Vayne, into the person he once used to be.
Duo slipped out the door after slipping on the jacket and swiftly running out the door before falling to the ground with a soft 'whump'. He rolled over and giggled soundlessly. Vayne glanced at his brother before he vanished through the door. He knew that face Duo was thinking hard about something and he knew it dealt with him, but until something happened he would never know what the thought even was. Vayne sighed and leaned his head back on the couch again, his eyes closed as he thought of how this would all turn out. His muscles were tense, never relaxing in Shawn's presence. His ears twitched to any form of sound of movement, while his tail layed still beside him on the couch. He sighed softly trying to tie his thoughts together. He felt better now and knew he could probably stand without getting dizzy or nauseated. He didn't know what to do or say while Shawn was still there with him and he wondered what the other would say now that he'd finished talking with his brother. ........They care for nothing, but themselves.

* * * Max listened to the doctor, still slightly on edge. He reached back and played with his tail as he looked down. " Kivuli got me out but I actually threatened him if I remember right, I hated how humans treated me. I wonder if I'll ever be fully trusting..." he muttered to himself then glanced up to Kivuli. He was lost in thought and the boy was very tempted to snap him out of it but he did it himself as the chair moved. He looked back at his hands that were rested in his lap and he yawned, suddenly tired for some reason. He looked back over his shoulder as he heard Kivuli speaking to him. He'd be able to walk. Thank god. He actually let out a sigh of relief. " Thank goodness. I'd be furious if I couldn't walk." he said and didn't seem to pay any mind to the fact that it may hurt him for a while, well duh it would. He didn't say that though.
He listened intently to the description of a X-ray and had no noticable reaction except making a face. He glanced back to Kivuli as he trailed off and he waved his hand in front of his face. He knew he zoned out like that and it didn't please the panther boy. He shifted so he was comfortable and his tail swished behind him, he knew that he was being watched by those who disliked his kind but couldn't help but grin when he realized they were unnerved by him being with Kivuli. So he was well known around here. He frowned then, though, as he thought about Kivuli's last sentence. " I don't want you to be hurting." he felt his face heat up so he leaned his head down and leaned it on his arm so no one could see the faint color in his cheeks. He had no idea what he was blushing for... * * * I swear to you all, I will break out of here when the time is right.

* * * Leon couldn't help but smile when Duo ran outside. He waved to his brother as he followed close behind. He had shut the door behind him. He watched him rolling around and laughed. He tilted his head slightly as he stepped onto the grass. He knelt down as he felt the wind blowing his hair softly. " Are you having fun Duo?" he asked and smiled as he watched him. he remembered when he was little enough to have that much fun. His hand was set over his blinded eye and he made a face. He forgot to put the patch back on... lowering his hand he felt oddly fine with it being this way around Duo, and even Vayne. He sat down as he played with a blade of grass and chuckled. He used to be able to play around like this. He just didn't seem to have the energy or something now. He tapped his lips slightly as he thought. What if Duo brought that childish side back out? That would be... interesting. But he also wanted to give this boy the best time he could have. He was still busy in his thoughts as his hands fell to his lap and he was looking at the trees that were being blown in the wind, everything was so carefree now...
Inside Shawn sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. The younger two were outside now... " Want something to eat or drink Vayne?" he asked, trying to strike up conversation. He glanced over as he opened one of his closed eyes to look at him. He shut his eyes again as he turned around and went into the kitchen, he shouted out to Vayne though. " Just lemme know and I'll bring it to you! Oh, and i can cook something too!" he said as he filled a glass with water and leaned on the counter waiting for the boy's answer. He looked up at the roof. Since Duo filled him in he knew he'd have to be a bit more on guard but at the same time trust Vayne, and he did, it was just the fact that if he lost himself he would have to defend the others possibly. It wasn't a problem of course, but he didn't want to bring any harm to Vayne if he could help himself. * * *

My world is cold..... Kivuli ShirotoshiXXXXXXBusiness Owner Kivuli looked at Max, his thought wandering before he spoke. "I think I've thought of a way to get rid of those men at that shop Max. What would you say to me buying the shop and getting rid of those men. I want to make their life better then the one they've been living. I want to help them to the best of my abilities, they don't deserve the treatment they put them through.....you didn't deserve the treatment they put you through. I want to ruin them in anyway I can and if it means putting those men out of a job I would do so. I would make to where they could never work in this town or any other town for a long time." Kivuli was serious and he really wanted to do what he said he was willing to do. "I swear one everything in my life I will do everything I just told you Max." He looked over to him and showed an affectionate smile he normally never wore in front of other humans. Though by now Kivuli had already dubbed Max a being special in his book.
He looked up however when the doctor came over, he looked to Max and realized he looked like he was blushing which made that smile once again appear on his face as he stood up He started to speak with the Doctor and listened before he was asked to follow them to the room where the XRay machine was. He wheeled Max into the room slowly before stopping at a metallic like table and he looked to Max as he spoke of what they would be doing. "Max, we'll lay you down on this table, it will be cold, but bear with it till we get the X rays done. They will have you roll onto your sides so they can get a view of the break form the angles given to them. They've asked for permission to touch you in order to get the exact angle they need. What I'm asking is if you'll allow them to do so?" He asked softly to Max.. ......It must be destiny to be alone.

People are cruel..... Vayne & DuoXXXXXXStraysDuo looked up and over to Leon when he'd asked if he was enjoying himself and he nodded. His white hair was splayed out under him as he watched Leon silently. Leon seemed to be thinking and Duo just watched him silently before rolling over to rest his head on Leon's knees. He could tell by they way Shawn and him both acted that they had a long life that was hard as well. Duo wanted to do all he could to mend what ever the two had lost, and give them something to smile and be happy about. He wished he could purr like he did back when he'd had a voice, but he knew that was only wishful thinking. Though he hoped one day he could find his lost voice again. To be able to speak about what he felt and laugh like a normal person was able to, instead of the unnatural silent laugh he always had now. He looked up at Leon before sitting up and taking his hand and pulling at his arm to get him up. Duo thought now was the best time to explore and show him the beauty he saw in the world around him, unseen by eyes of those that had let the bad things take over their senses.
Vayne opened his one eyes and looked over to Shawn as he spoke, "No thank you, I'll be fine." He said as the other obviously tried to strike up a conversation with him. Vayne wasn't usually a talker, but if spoken to he would talk back for either as brief or as long at questions or words were allowed. Vayne got up and walked over to the window, before he sat in the windowsill and looked out at Duo who seemed to be enjoying himself with Leon's mere presence. Vayne's ears stayed pricked on his head as his tail slowly curled one direction and then the other direction. Seemingly lost in his own thoughts, on what they were, were only known to him and him alone. His arms were crossed over her chest and he flinched slightly as he shifted, making his wound flare a bit in pain. Though he kept his mouth shut about it. His brown eyes looked away from the two as Duo tugged at him to get up. Vayne watched as the clouds rolled over the sky outside, he was unsure as to what to do. So lost that he couldn't understand, he was used to at least being told what to do.
Having wandered into his thoughts he unconsciously started to sing aloud, having become a habit when he was thinking.

He finished the song as he shifted slightly and flinching once again when he moved the wrong way. It seemed somehow sad and lonely, yet held a lot of meaning to the one whom sang it. Vayne continued to stare out the window. ........They care for nothing, but themselves.

* * * Max looked up at Kivuli as he spoke and he crossed his arms slightly as he thought about it. That would be one way of getting them out of there... he then looked at his legs and he shut his eyes. ” I think if you bought the place out and they were fired... well. They would certainly pay for what they had done.” he seemed to have thought over it for a while first before answering. He then looked back over to the man he was talking to. ” You must have a lot of.... power, in the world to be able to do that...” he mused, still not sure if ‘power’ was the right word to use. Max then glanced back, seeing the smile he was being given, and was a bit taken by surprise. Had he gotten so used to this man already so that he could relax? Now that was surprising... he then smile as well. It wasn’t as calm since he was still at a new place, but being near this man definitly helped his situation. He relaxed his arms slightly and allowed them to rest on his legs until he heard the doctor coming.
He looked up at the man approching them and his relaxed smile slowly slipped away. He said nothing, though, as he looked at Kivuli and felt the chair he was sitting in moving towards another doorway. The whole time they were moving his ears flicked around and he seemed to search the area he was going through, on instinct, as he looked up at Kivuli once but kept silent the whole time. Then as they went into another room he looked at the metal machine, his ears flicking back at the sight of it. What was it...? He looked at Kivuli as he was spoken to and he bit his lip slightly. Should he allow them? Well Kivuli seemed to trust them... so as long as he was in the same room he wouldn’t mind. He nodded before speaking up again. ” It’s alright.” he told Kivuli and the boy’s ears pricked as he looked at the large white machine. He still didn’t fully trust the thing... but he wouldn’t let it scare him. He would be the strong leader he used to be, and stand up to the thing that was attacking the pack. * * * I swear to you all, I will break out of here when the time is right.

* * * Leon had been thinking and he smiled as he saw Duo’s silent reply to his question. He then had gone back to his thoughts but felt Duo rest his head on his knees and he looked at the boy. Blinking he smiled softly, calming slightly at the touch of the muted boy. He patted his head and smiled softly. He had known so much pain in his life, with his wound and all... that he thought about how he would have done without it. Man, life would be so much easier but he knew that if he didn’t have this wound he wouldn’t have gone out with Shawn in the first place and seen the two. Therefore, Duo would never have come here.. that meant his wound helped him. For once in his life anyway. He couldn’t help but think about what he could do to help Duo get his voice back. If his actual voice box wasn’t hurt it could be something with shock or something else and only a matter of both of the brothers feeling comfortable in the home they had now. Leon hoped that’s what it was. As soon as he seemed to come out of his thoughts he looked up as Duo, who was tugging on his arm. He smiled again and stood up, allowing the boy to lead him around and show him what he wanted to do. He thought it would be pretty fun too, if he was with someone that is, usually he was alone but now, since he wasn’t, he was calm about exploring.
Shawn had nodded to Vayne’s reply then as he said nothing. He continued to drink his water before setting the glass down and he was about to call out to Vayne again when he heard him singing to himself. His eyes glazed over slightly as he watched him and listened. He knew this song from somewhere... no matter. He snapped out of his trance and went to make something to eat. He came out with a sand which and looked at Vayne as he seemed to still be zoning out or something. He took a step up beside the boy, knowing he’d probably startle him, after setting down the plate and looked out. Leon was allowing Duo to pull him or something, either way they were enjoying their time together. He smiled softly. ” It’s been forever since Leon’s been like that. He’s usually really quiet and hardly smiles.” he said, seemingly glad that Duo was bringing this side out of him. He then turned but spoke to Vayne. ” You two will like it here, I can tell Duo already is.” he said and smiled back to him before taking a seat and eating. * * *
