Why are these lights so bright

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey paled as she spotted the ring on his finger. What the hell did they do? Wait. They both were naked, and in bed together. Her stomach dropped. "Tyler....." She trailed off, not sure whether or not she could ask that question. Her mouth dried up. "...Did we....did we...." She stammered. This was harder than she thought. "...Did we sleep together?" She asked, her tone even and worried.
Well, obviously they had, since they were in the same bed, but that was the innocent version. He should know what she meant though. Mace hoped he didn't point that out. It wasn't time for that. She was visibly shaking, but she refused to get up off the ground where she had landed on her butt. To be honest, she wasn't sure she could muster up the strength to do so.

"Macey, to be honest, I can't even remember what day of the week it is, or if that's sunrise or sunset outside." Ty said truthfully. "But the way I see it? We did a little more than the nasty." he said, bumping his ringed hand against hers.
"Why don't you go check in the bathroom. Isn't there a bit of skin or something that gets torn when you do that?" he said, assuming in his half-conscious state she was still a virgin...well, at least before last night.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey automatically withdrew her hand when he bumped it. She felt horrible. How could she do something so stupid? They had just had Marvin's memorial service, and now she was married to his best friend. She felt like she had betrayed her brother. There was nothing she could do about it. The damage had been done.
Mace blushed when Tyler suggested that whole bathroom thing. It seemed that he thought she had still been a virgin. Well, the truth about that had been her own little secret. She was in college. She had been with her last boyfriend for over a year, while they both went to the same school. Yea---no. She had lost it a while ago, seeing as she'd dumped the guy around eight months back.
"Yeah...that won't work...." She trailed off, embarassed. Mace kept the blanket wrapped around her as she scooted her way to her bag. She pulled a large t-shirt of hers on. She couldn't stand not wearing anything any longer. . Don't be a baby

"Fair enough." Ty said. Hell, he wasn't a virgin either...yeah, even the quiet guy got it once, in university.
He tried to move but couldn't, he was too sore, so he just tossed a blanket over his rear end. "I'd ask if you felt sore there, but if you're anything like me, you're feeling sore all over." he said, managing to roll onto his back with a groan.
"Well, that was definitely one of my most interesting nights."

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey pulled on some shorts while he spoke. Once she was dressed, she cast a glare over her shoulder. That was one of his more interesting nights? No. Freakin. Sh*t. It wasn't something to joke about. She sulked over to a chair and curled up in it, arms around her knees that had been pulled up to her chest.
She just thought as a few tears leaked from her eyes. Why? Why did that have to happen? Fate was playing another cruel joke on her, right? First taking her brother away, then ruining her life? Thank's a lot Lady Fate. "What are we going to do...?" She asked, ignoring her pounding headache and her growling stomach. Her stomach may say otherwise, but she knew she couldn't eat anything anytime soon. . Don't be a baby

Ty's joking about it was more a defence mechanism to stop him from freaking out himself. He always joked about things to make it easier to get by.
He opened an eye when he heard her speak. "Well, what are we supposed to do?" he asked quietly. "We're married, and I probably just took your virginity. What do we do? Make the most of it, I guess." he said, closing his eye. "I don't think anybody was told, so let's keep it quiet for a while."

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey rolled her eyes at his response. Make the best of it, seriously? "You didn't take my virginity..." She admitted aloud. She wasn't going to let him go around thinking that, first of all. "..and you think we should just make the most of it...We got married on a whim, while we were drunk. I'd say it would be better if we got it anulled...." She stated, from a logical perspective, she felt she was right.
"Did that not occur to you?" She asked, getting up to rummage through her purse. Instanly something caught her eye. Something that hadn't been there the night before. A disk in a little paper sleeve. It was a dvd. Great, somebody had recorded the ceremony. . Don't be a baby

"No." Tyler admitted. He tried to move but was still too sore and decided against it. "Fine, let's get it annulled. Do you know anywhere that will do that?" he asked, finally managing to sit up after a while. He kinda didn't want to get it annulled...he really did like Macey. He groaned and put a hand on his head.
"I hate hangovers."

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey shook her head. "No...I don't...." She admitted. Yeah, she kinda liked Tyler, but not enough to jump into a marriage with him. Not really. She also believed it would be hard on her parents. Maybe if they had began with dating and ended up progressing to the marriage stage, she wouldn't mind so bad.
As it was, they did not. "You know, if things were different, it might not be so bad...." By that she meant being married to him. She blushed very faintly at the comment, but didn't care, for her head was pounding. She finally spotted the bottle of Advil in her purse. "Want one?" She asked. It seemed like he was feeling the effects of their drinking as well. . Don't be a baby

"Well, instead of spending all that money on a lawyer to get this annulled or what have you...thanks." Ty said, taking the Advil. He tilted his head back and swallowed it without water. He looked back at her. "Instead, let's just stay married, and keep it hidden...maybe we should go on a few dates to make it look like there was a progression, and after a year we can tell your parents." he offered.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey took the medicine dry as well. She closed the bottle and tossed it back into her purse. "Well...we already have a copy of the ceremony..." She said, tossing the cheap dvd in the paper sleeve his direction. Personally, she didn't know if she could handle watching it.
"And I don't know..." She trailed off. Was that was she wanted? Heck, she wasn't sure. Then again, she hated to fail at anything. So, maybe she'd enjoy the challenge. "I say, we try the whole thing. If either of us feels like we need to back out, we should get the thing anulled. If it goes bad in any way, on our parts, then it's off...And, bad as in we can't stand each other or something like that..." Everybody argued over one thing or another, but if they were truly incompatable, then they shouldn't stay together. Don't be a baby

Ty grabbed the DVD off the covers and was a bit confused, then he realized what it was. Their ceremony. Interesting. He might watch it later to see what happened.
He smiled softly at her. "Well, how are we going to go about this?" he asked. "I mean, we going to tell our parents, or...?" he asked.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey thought a moment. "Maybe we should tell them. Tell them that we screwed up, and that we are going to try and make it right. The way we want to..." She stated, unsure if that sounded like a good idea to him. She knew she personally couldn't keep it from her parents. Not after what had happened to her brother. They had one shock with him. Now they were going to have one from her.
"Unless you can think of something else to tell them..." She continued. Mace didn't know what to do. She sat down on the end of the bed. She felt it would be weird if she sat too close to him right now. Especially after all that happened.. Don't be a baby

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey shook her head. "No, they won't hate you Tyler. You were kinda like a second son to them...Yes, they will probably be disappointed in us...but not hate..." She explained, placing a hand on top of one of his.
"Yes, it would be best to tell them. However, they probably already left for their flight. They're goin back home now..." She trailed off. She'd want to do it face to face, if she was telling them. Especially her mother. She knew her mother had looked foward to her eventual wedding day. The whole planning aspect of it. .. Don't be a baby
