XxEternal MelodyxX Xi smiled to see that Natalia had one too, so just in case it HAD to be just the four of them then they would be pretty safe at least since Natalia would be there. "Going back and asking would take too long... we've already covered so much ground, it would be a shame to just send someone back. Besides, it would be too risky... they would get themselves killed. I'm going to take the gamble and go the island route. I really think everyone should go as well." Xi started down the path towards the island route, regardless of whether or not anyone followed. That was that, his decision was made. Hopefully, they would though... hopefully.  "Aww! You wanna leave so soon?" Behind you, a tree speaks! It wiggles its branches in an attempt to wave. HP: 3

Laiha followed Xi, heading down the island route as well. Of course, another one of those damnable trees had to cut them off! She nearly wielded her bell, but then remembered its use and only growled at the evil happy tree.

A fine display of a full body shiver went up Haku's spine.
Oh Jack damn those googly-eyed trees! He whipped about, fur bristling only . . . Well this tree seemed occupied by Xi this time. "Er, swat it away!" Again he stepped away from the JOYful creature to stand by Laiha.

"Let's head towards the island then," Sepheran replied feeling that the route had now changed. As he turned around a shiver went through him as a familiar voice broke through. He hissed lowly though it seemed to attack another student. "Going for the roots worked for me!" he called out hoping to be of some use at least.

Beneath Tybalts touch Natalia slumped some, scooting away once he finished only because of the...tree.
Not Xi! Her jaw unhinged and opened wide in another one of those loud, annoying primate screeches. "Xi, watch out!" she called, unable to crouch and duck beneath the trees swings quick enough hindering her chances of helping him!
The stress level rose for the lemur, bouncing once on all fours while her tail stiffened above her...and then something bubbled, fizzed, and then POPPED inside of her head. Although her form did not falter in the least, a tingle in the noggin caused an--estranged thought to surface.
One that would not have been on Natalia's were mind. OH these trees are lovely! If only they didn't bite so hard...If only I could just take one home! I'd put it in a pot, and it would make such a lovely entry-way decoration!

Oh hey! Another tree! "Well it is a forest, after all." He couldn't help the chuckle, as he scratched his cheek. "Go on Xi! That tree's got nothing on you! Kick it's a**!" He called.
They really needed to get moving. Otherwise there was only going to be more repeats of these battles and they were going to use up all their energy before they even got out of the forest. That would suck. He didn't want to be defeated in an area surrounded by-----those!

When the gnome began splitting the students back into their train-groupings, Tro was reluctant to leave the ghoul with the backward hands and feet. It was only when the boil with the shock of green hair arrived at the crash site did the monster pony leave to join his group.
Still in his true form, Petro struggled to catch up. Not because the snowball launcher and the backpack containing the tent and the pills were heavy but because of the unpredictable nature of his shifting. As evidenced by the trail of hoofprints that became footprints then morphed back to hoofprints.
When he finally caught up, he stared in surprise and more than a little confusion. "What's wrong with that tree?" he asked with a tilt of his equine head and a flick of his tail.

No more trees, no more living trees, no more smiley living trees! Petro's voice made him turn his head, and he couldn't help but grin a little. "Simply put, we're attracting some of Christmas's minions and are heading to the south to see if those cards some of them won earlier might help us out. Good to see you haven't been marauded by the JOYous creatures, though."

Hadiyya had had to jog to catch up with the rest of her group, and considering she was already in a terrible mood for having been split up, once again, from her friends, she was not a happy camper as she slowed to reasonable pace at the back of the pack. She kept her eyes peeled for G, though she suspected he might be at the front somewhere.
Sighing, the demon adjusted her pack on her shoulder as she gave a tiny burst of speed. Hopefully she'd catch up with the swamp beast. Or perhaps run into Tahki. Or at the very least make an acquaintance along the way.

Petro stared at Haku's explanation. Did he hear the boil correctly? These JOYful trees were attacking them? Trees? Attack? What? The expression on the monster horse's face was a cross between utter confusion and unmitigated horror. He was a forest guardian! Well, not yet, but he was going to be! What kind of guardian gets attacked by the very thing he's trying to protect? Someone should really remind Tro of the JOYful part.
"But. Trees. Aren't they supposed to be friends with us? We use 'em to make things more FEARful don't we?"
JOYful trees, Tro, stop focusing on the tree part.

"Not here unfortunately. These trees are made from JOY if I remember what the gnome said," Haku explained to him, drawing amusement from the tikbalang's petrified look. "We can't regenerate FEAR here because of all the JOY, so we have to be extra cautious. Of course, I imagine that cannon of yours is sufficient offensive power alone," he added with a chuckle. "Ah . . . you haven't seen Tahki, have you? Nefertari found her way here."
The sound of snow crunching had Haku bristling as he expected another attack to occur. Another tree? Something more festive?
Nope, just another ghoul. This one he recalled having been near G at the front of the train, though they did not speak. Again he rang his bell a little to grab her attention, though he did wonder if the sound might attract something worse. "Over here!"
