"Mmmm," Coralie gave it a bit of thought. She honestly preferred teasing him at this point. She wasn't going to be unreasonable, though. If she didn't give a hint he might not keep guessing and well...that was the whole point of withholding her name, after all. "Alright, this is the last one. The next letter is a vowel somewhere in the alphabet after M." It certainly narrowed his choice of next letters, though not names.
She was unable to hold back a laugh, "Oh, there's certainly nothing wrong with that." Though she seemed forever entertained by their conversation, she was genuine. If he was an outright flirt, she had no problem with that. To each their own. "Stumbling as I pass? I don't think so. If I did they'd be terribly boring. I don't think I'd want a boil who'd trip himself up by just seeing me. It would impose a lot of unnecessary limits."

The whistle blew hard as Calder rose up from his seat, having been perched on a counter and cutting out hearts from someone's left-behind notebook. Seems someone wouldn't be getting credit for their Home Ick homework.
After grabbing a few, he slipped off the counter and stretched. "Alright. You people are sad. Really, you could all be talking about this in the bathroom." Apparently Calder was a big talker in the bathroom, much to the awkward annoyance of many boys.
"Let's switch it up. You all don't seem to have that spark just yet. Pretend this is your last 10 minutes in Halloween Town and you're taking the next train out of here. Visualize." He said, hoping that making them more desperate than they already were would help them out. He'd been expecting at least 3 tables to be making out by now, but all he got was happy little chatter. Bla. He could see this at the cafeteria every day.
At the next switch up, he started passing tables and leaving little hearts. "That's to exchange numbers." He told people as he passed.

Wh-what? But...but it felt like Kasumi had only just sat down! Junko looked rather dismayed when Calder blew his whistle, staring at him with a pout. Sad? But most of them looked happy! Belladonna beside her kept blushing like crazy, even! Wait, who had conversations in the bathroom? That was just weird. But how was she going to visualize her last ten minutes in Halloween Town? Her last ten minutes ever? That's what they made passports for! And surely her friends would worry if she was gone for too long!
...Junko you're over thinking this far too much.
She watched Kasumi get up and move to sit with Yaya, sighing and turning to see who was supposed to be her next partner. Oh...wait! It was supposed to be Braum! Okay, not so bad. She at least knew and liked Braum. He was nice! Though she did feel a little bad since it had looked like he and Belladonna were getting along so well. "Hello, Braum!" She greeted him cheerfully as he sat across from her, looking down at the heart that had been put on her table. To exchange numbers? But...Junko didn't have a phone...! Was she supposed to have one? Oh, Jack!

Chatty was not one of the marid's usual personality traits, but the reaper across from her acted as something like a battery. She felt energized, which was a somewhat new experience, and she was sorry to say it had some rather odd effects on her. Speaking quickly seemed to be one of them.
She'd been done talking as he leaned forward, but even if she hadn't bee it would have made her pause. It also pointed out that she had been talking a lot, and quickly, and perhaps the poor boil was having trouble slipping a word in. The realization brought subtle flush to her cheeks, and she closed her mouth, lips pressing tightly as she listened to him speak.
"A journalist? That's pretty impressive. Yes, there is a pool, it's near the gym." The sound of the whistle cut off any further conversation, and actually startled the demon, making her jump in her seat. "Uh oh, time to switch. Hopefully we'll run into each other again some time soon. You know, if you'd like." She wasn't She hoped he'd left a good impression, Harrow seemed quite nice.
She watched him leave, wiggling fingers in a tiny wave, then glanced aorund for her next "date".

Well, Colette's last "date" had been very odd. She wasn't one for talking much, but she even preferred a little talking over sitting and being stared at or even doing the staring herself. Not that she would stare completely, she knew it was rude, so she had taken it upon herself to look at the cattails in the bucket or the holes in the table cloth from time to time; but that wasn't exactly any better. She was both sad an relieved to have Calder blow the whistle, and Colette muttered a farewell as to not be seen as rude.
His mention of talking in the bathroom confused her. She just liked to do her business and get out. That was a place for other things, the sounds or scents were not interesting at all. She herself didn't understand why there had been a group hanging around in there the last time she went to it. Her thoughts of the clogged toilet she came across dwindled off as he instructed everyone to think it was their last time in town.
Hmm, Colette pondered, Well.. I imagine I'd be working by then. Off to complete a task, I suppose a life whose light is quickly fading would be in need of reaping. Pumped to get going would be the feeling I guess, or ready and serious.. No, determined? Okay! She figured out what she thought to be the answer. Obviously I'd be determined to get my job done.. I guess the task now is to get someone's number. Okay, so I have to work as hard as possible to get it. I can do this! The ghoul was looking at it the wrong way, but nothing could deter her from her drive of becoming a great Reaper and the thought of work.
The only problem was she never even used her phone much, and it would be an achievement for her to remember the number. Sure, her parents had finally gave her some weird little skellphone. Many her age had one, or so she figured from observation, but she didn't actually use hers once she achieved having one. Not that she had anyone to use it on... er, with? What was it.. 666-768-5438? Or was that home? Oh well, I'll stick with it.
Colette prepared herself by straightening her striped sweater-dress and adjusting the turtleneck, but as soon as she caught sight of who her next partner was, her determination flinched. This was not a ghoul, she actually had a guy this time. The Reaper was twice as nervous as she had been when she met her first partner, Hadiyya. Colette awkwardly stood short distance back, waiting for his former date to leave and making sure she was far enough for them to feel comfortable to say whatever they needed. Once the other ghoul left, Colette sat down and fidgeted with her dress nervously before softly greeting the boil. "H-hello there."

Harrow jumped at the whistle, starting and shooting a quick look around before he realized what that sound meant. And he'd just started to relax. Well, no, he hadn't really started to relax, and now he had to move onto someone new. He got up slowly, licking his lips with a quick little wave back at Yaya, and tugged the hem of his vest down on his way to hunt down his next partner.

The partner switch happened before Tahki could really say anything more to Tess. The gryphon gave the undead girl a smile before moving on to the next table. Boy did these things end abruptly.
Coralie was her next partner, a ghoul Tahki was some what already familiar with. Tahki took a seat and waited for her partner.

"Wait just a moment, kelpie," Braum snorted, as the horse interrupted him when his mouth had just opened to respond to Belladonna. Truthfully, he'd probably been saved from an incredibly cheesy come-on, but he still wanted to go on a date with her, and the kelpie had forced his hand. There was no time to waste. Taking a steadying breath, he got up suddenly, making room for the next person to steal his Bell away for conversation, and willing to look like a total fool in front of all these people. It was quite valiant and romantic of him really, to go on one knee, his wings folded behind him as he kissed her hand. Looking up at her fluidly, crimson orbs bore into the girl like she was a tasty morsel he just couldn't wait to gobble up.
"It would be my honor if you'd consider letting me court you properly, Miss Bell," he intoned, his voice serious and passionate. It was the formal demon equivalent of saying 'we can has date plz?', and was the most exclusive commitment she'd probably ever get out of him. That wouldn't stop him from FLIRTING with other girls, heavens no. But he wouldn't even consider actually taking them out on a date until Belladonna either refused, or asked him to stop courting her, assuming he got more than ONE date. Rising, he scribbled down his skellphone number, and folded it up in her hand, kissing it again with a smirk, while his eyes stayed focused on her face.
"You don't have to answer NOW, but think about it," he smiled devilishly, "Call me when you do, I'd love to persuade you into letting me follow you around like a lovesick familiar."
With that, he grinned, as pleased as a cheshire cat, and sauntered away to sit in front of Junko. He gave her a small, warm smile, he knew the girl, liked her even. Yaya certainly had seemed a bit fond of her, and she hadn't given him any reason not to enjoy her company, despite her species. He actually forgot sometimes she WASN'T a demon, she was always so poised and well-mannered. He leaned forward conspiratorially, supercharged from his pseudo-decleration of affection (he wasn't willing to call it love, after all, he was still in his prime and you'd have to work harder for him to saddle himself down so quickly), and raised an eyebrow at the panic that crossed Jun's features as she glanced at the heart-shaped cards.
"You don't have a skellphone, do you, Miss Jun? If you want, you could borrow my spare? Father felt it prudent that I have two, something about losing one or the other, or breaking it in a rage," he smiled, cocking his head and looking towards the little hearts as if silently asking 'want me to write it down for you?'
"You could come pick it up afterwards at my dormroom? And if you miss any messages from now till then, it'll be recorded," he offered, gently pushing the idea since she'd looked so panicked. He didn't want a friend, especially a LADY to suffer for something so small. And it wasn't like his father couldn't simply replace the spare, they certainly had enough golden seeds for that kind of purchase.

Wow! How forward! Junko watched as Braum practically proposed to Belladonna, looking thoroughly impressed by the display. That was rather romantic! Would someone say that to her someday? She watched him come to her table, rather surprised he was still up for going through with the rest of the night! Then again she wasn't looking for romance with Braum, he were merely a new friend to her. Guess it did take a bit of pressure off it all when one was already sure who they wanted, hm? He could just enjoy the rest of this as a friend now! He seemed to read her like an open book though, blushing a bit at his question and rubbing at the back of her neck. "I don't...n-not because my family can't afford one just...my father is incredibly cheap." He hated spending money, it seemed almost painful to him. His offer surprised her, blinking a bit and looking down at the little hearts. Really? He'd just give her one? That was...that was so nice of him! Wow! She smiled again and looked genuinely grateful, nodding happily. "That would be wonderful! Thank you, Braum! I promise I'll take very good care of it!" And she'd find some way to repay his kindness as well. She couldn't very well make a kimono for him or anything, but she'd do something for him. She'd figure it out eventually. She may not be a rich and fancy demon but Junko had still been taught manners, and that one shouldn't go and make a fool of themselves by being barbaric and turn being a monster into an insult.
"I would love that, Braum. Thank you so much! Is there any way I can repay you?" Junko wasn't taking no for an answer on this matter, she'd insist on it if he tried to argue against it.

Once upon a time, in a far away land of nightmares and copious amounts of black, there lived a princess named Belladonna who was courted by a handsome prince named Braum. They had many adventures and took to the night sky together, she on her broomstick and he held aloft with silken black wings, wrecking havoc upon any humans that may pass them by-- SO WAIT. This wasn't that story, but jack it all if Belladonna nearly thought it was.
Blushing harder than she ever thought possible, she watched with wide eyes as he knelt before her (Princes knelt for their Princesses!!), took her hand, kissed it, and then basically asked for a date. She remained with her mouth in a perfect pout of surprise (It was so hard not to just gape at him) while he finished his little speech, gave her his skellyphone number and departed to the next table. That left everything in Belladonna's court and it took all her power to fight her baser instincts and say she wanted him right now. But no, that would not do for all romance novels say the girl must wait and Belladonna was more than prepared to reenact her favorites. So with aplomb and the prettiest smile she could muster, she dipped her head to Braum, squirreled the number away into a pocket and turned to her newest partner.
"Tess! How lovely to see you again!!" Her enthusiasm was partly due to the events that had unfolded (Such romantic actions sincerely won him points in Belladonna's book), but were mostly due to the fact that Belladonna really liked the leg-less girl and hadn't seen her since the Monster Ball. "How are you? How have classes been? Find anyone you like tonight?" The witch was now a bundled of excited nerves, bouncing slightly in her seat and ready for all this to be over so she could tell Binx about it, as well as Kasumi. Wouldn't they be just overjoyed for her?!

Hu! It was time to move on already, was it? She had actually been having a lot of fun. Oh well, that was the whole point of dash dating, the moving bit. "Well, it seems you're out of time for guessing," she told Deacon with a shake of her head. She stood and tipped the brim of her hat up a bit as she did so. Passing him a sideways glance she said, "I guess I'll just have to tell you. A thanks for playing. The name's Coralie. Cora." She moved her wrist in a short wave as she left, going to find her next partner.
She came upon a familiar face and smiled, "Hey there Tahki. Looks like you're my next 'date'. Don't be too rough with my heart now." It was a friendly casual tease, it seemed, because her face remained pleasant. She sat down in her chair, leaning back a bit, "How's everything been going?"

Tahki felt her cheeks flair up into a hot pink.
"I-I'd not do that," The teasing hadn't been picked up on at all by the look of Tahkis doe eyed confusion. The pink quickly faded though leaving Tahki with her normal complexion.
"Everythings going fine so far. Braum was a nice date and so was Tess. Now your my date and Im sure you'll be nice too," Tahki didn't really answer the actual question because she hadn't been sure what Coralie had been asking. "What about you? Are your dates being nice... Or..or do I need to get busy on some ones behind." Tahkis face flushed pink.

Calder jumped up and down in place, utterly delighted by Braum's stance and proposal to date Belladonna. His friend was SO lucky to have such a romantic guy after her. He WOULD have been jealous, but - ya know. He had such a catch of his own. He couldn't feel envious of Braum when he had the hunkiest man in the entire school.
"Now that is the spirit!" Calder said, clapping his hands for such a performance. "You all should take notes. THAT'S being romantic right there. Bravery. Courage. Throwing yourself out there and letting your heart take you where it wants to. So stop playing with the centerpieces and get those flames ignited." It was more than order than advice.
After such a display, he was waiting for more, and watched with renewed eagerness as everyone changed partners ................................and he waited.............................and waited..............................and everyone just talked.
:C
Calder soon grew bored and, checking the time, blew his whistle. He had given them an extra minute or so just in case something exciting happened, but they gave him nothing. Well, at least he had Braum's little moment. He at least got those two hooked up. Yeah. He was such a great match maker. When Belladonna had Braum's kids, he expected her to name one after him.
Blowing the whistle, he rose up and gestured for the group to move. "Same drill as before. Try holding hands this time." He paused he seemed to have made it sound like a suggestion. "Nope. Everyone, hold hands with your new partners. STARE into their eyes when you talk." Geez. He had to do everything.

Colette sighed and stood up at the whistle, crumpling the paper heart that was supposed to have a skellphone number on it before moving on to the next table. Her nervousness was all for nothing because her visit with the boil went just like her visit with the small, wide-eyed ghoul before him. Nothing happened. Not even a hello. Why did she think she could get someone's number? She wasn't even able to start a conversation.
Once the host commanded that she and everyone else hold hands with their partner, Colette scoffed quietly to herself. "Pffft." How was she supposed to hold hands with a partner if she hadn't even been able to talk to the last two? It would certainly be more awkward than sitting in silence and staring at the wet spots on the tablecloth. At least her next partner was a ghoul, and Colette felt herself less nervous than her last pairing.
She sat, placing her hands in her lap, while quietly greeting the ghoul of the table, "Um... hello." Colette worried this time would turn out as bad as the last two and decided she would only hold hands if absolutely necessary. The whole idea of the hand holding was uncomfortable for the Reaper, but she would give in, not wanting to take away from the other student's experience or whatever individuals got from holding hands and gazing into each others' eyes.

Truth be told, Tess had about a million questions she wanted to ask Belladonna and while she had done her best to answer the Reaper's questions ("I've been f-fine. Classes are okay, I guess. A-anyone I like? Um, um, n-not yet? Should I have?") all questions she had seemed to be out of her reach. Maybe it had something to do with Braum's earlier speech about properly courting the Reaper ghoul adding to her wariness over the demon. Tess would have probably mentioned something about the Sex-Ed class to Belladonna, there was the question about classes but again. All thoughts seemed to have fled.
And when Calder blew the whistle it was time to switch partners. She hoped and hoped and hoped and hoped it wouldn't be Braum.
