After greeting Dev from his announcement, Galain starts eating. About midway through the meal, Gal has an idea and voices it to his new comrades. "Well, seems like the Covenant decided to come knocking on our doorstep with a sledgehammer. So if this is the last base in the area then I think we should set up some defenses before we leave, so as the UNSC will have a foothold to work from. If we salvage some M41 chain guns from the warthogs in the garage, we could set up a strong perimeter defense. It wouldn't take too long either."

"I agree Gal set it up after your done eating take a squad of 8 people with you. When your done send the data to our tacpads."

Galain quickly finished his meal, and goes up to the stage and announces "Now that we have food in our gut, we need to fortify this base. Since we are the last base in the region, the UNSC needs this base as a foothold to retake the area after we remove the threat of the Covenant mothership. The majority of you will be fortifying the base and placing combat barriers. However, I will need a team of Combat Engineers to help me aquire some M41s from the Warthogs in the Garage to use within the base." After stepping down a small group of soldiers come up to Galain. One of the soldiers steps forward and introduces himself. "I'm Major Foreman. I lead team Bravo of the 92nd Battlation of Combat Engineers. We'll help you get those M41s." Gal places his hand on the Major's shoulder, and says "I'm happy to have you and your team with me." Gal then goes back to where Dev, Shi, and Kaz are finishing their meals. "If you guys need to rearm yourselves, the Spartans here had a separate armory from the forces here. You'll find everything you need there from heavy weapons, to spare armor parts. Here is the keycard. I'll keep you updated on my progress." Galain hands Dev the keycard to armory and makes his way to the garage with Bravo in tow.

"Shi come with me, we'll go to the armory and get some more ammo for our weapons, also i think i might have left something in there last time." Dev got up and headed for the door waiting for shi to come with him.

"Wait, who?" Shi asked on the way to the armoury. After the door opened he immeditly knew.

Dev, Shi, and Kaz got to the armoury. Dev picked up what looked like a grenade but was a prototype of an armor ability fuser. "Shi stand next to me." Shi stood next to Dev and then Dev pressed the button that activated it. Shi and Dev started turning invisible then came back then after 20 more seconds the device stopped. "Shi, are you okay?"

"yes, I made it, you should be able to have active camo now but it only works when your running. I have no clue how many more uses it has but I do know it works very well just let me know if you start feeling any side effects that was the first field test." Dev picks up ammo for his guns and puts them in a strap pack. "Well let's go."

Galain and Bravo team made it to the entrance of the garage in good time and without a hitch. As Gal walked through the entrence he starts to tell the Major, "Major, we need to get these M41s detached quickly. Who knows when the covenant will..." only to be stopped in mid-sentence by the Major's startled face. Galain turns his gaze upon the garage interior and immediately sees why. There is a Phantom sitting on the opposite side of the garage. Galain and Bravo team quickly take cover and assess the situation. Surprisingly, there were only three lifeforms, which appeared to be Engineers. Gal turn to Maj. Foreman "Major, we need to sweep the garage. Let me know about anything out the ordinary. Keep your distance from the transport too." Galain takes a closer look at the Phantom. The hull appears to be in poor shape due to its entrance through the ceiling. However, the Engineers seem to be repairing the hull from scrap metal in the garage. Other then a dead Elite nearby, there appears to be no enemies, for they must gone into the base and met their end there. As Maj. Foreman returns from his sweep, Galain asks "Major, did the sweep turn up anything?" The Major shakes his head."Other then the gaping hole in the roof and the covenant transport, nothing. Lets continue with detaching these M41s and get out of here, I got a bad feeling about this place." Gal decides to update the other Spartans about the Phantom. "Shi? Dev? There appears to be an empty Phantom in the Garage. If you're done in the Armory, you may want to see this."

Dev hears Gal on his radio. "Alright Gal we're on our way." Dev activated his active camo then began sprinting thanks to the fuser which gave him Shi's armor ability and Shi Dev's armor ability.

After hearing Dev's reply, Galain checked on the progress with the M41s. "How are we doing?" Gal asks a combat engineer, "We're detaching the last one now, sir. Detaching them from the Warthogs was easy, placing them in a defensive perimeter may take a bit longer." explains the combat engineer. Galain walks over to Maj. Foreman transfers some data to his techpad. "Major, these are the postions that need these M41s, it would probably be quicker if your team split into pairs and install them at the same time. I'll wait here for the other Spartans." The major nods and goes over and explains the plan to his team and they start to deploy to their points of delivery. After the last pair left with their M41, Gal sat down to think about how he and the other Spartans were going to complete their mission. Mere seconds after Galain sat down, he heard several heavy thuds. "That is never a good sound." Galain peeks over warthog he sat against, and chill goes down his spine as two Hunter pairs start to spread out from the small craters they made from dropping through the hole in the ceiling. Dropping back behind the cover of the warthog, Gal contacts the other Spartans "4 Hunters just dropped in. I think they are unaware that I'm here." Galain readies his AR for an surprise attack and waits for the others.

Dev was just about to deactivate his active camo when he saw the hunters drop in from the roof. Dev took cover behind the closest object. "Four of them and one of me, maybe galain's still in here? Well nothing to lose except myself." With that Dev ran over to one of the hunters jumped on it's back and laid a plasma grenade right in it's neck then he jumped off and did the same with another, right after he did that his armor abilities stopped working. "Oh well this can't be good. Galain, a little help here!" Dev jumped out of the way and the blast from the hunter's rifle blew up a warthog.

"HEY KITTY CAT OVER HERE!" Shi yelled from out side the garage, "Galain, Dev, get them to spread apart so they only focus on one person at a time so we don't have to fight all of them at the same time! Unless you guys have a better idea! I'm all ears!" Shi atracted only 1 Hunter, but it was good enough. Shi threw a grenade in front of the Hunter, making him turn, giving Shi a chance to shoot its weak point twice. The Hunter got angry and charged at Shi. The Hunter did an uppercut with its shield, but Shi jumped and got lauched into the sky. Soon the Hunter shot at Shi, but then Kaz came out of the garage and tackled the Hunter, making him miss Shi. "I hate HEIGHTS!!!" Shi yelled.

Dev always comes prepared no matter what. He pulled out a grapple shot it around Shi then spinned him like a top and then slowed down till Shi was on the ground. Dev reloads his clip of ammo, then starts firing in multiple bursts at the hunter's midsection.(Great only 3 clips left.) Dev then finished his clip and reloaded. (2 clips left, this is garbage.) Dev saw the phantom and started running to it then jumped it and activated it's systems. "Shi get in!"
