Israfel was in shock. Really, he was. His first shock came with the noticing of glowing green goo on his pant leg. It took every drop of self control to not kill the bug. He wanted to kill, he lifted his foot to kill it but he couldn't. Why? It hissed at him. And that made blue eyes pop open wide. It's tiny little fangs dripped with goo and the siren did not want to find out how those fangs felt. Not one slice. But what spooked him silly was Braum. Israfel had seen Braum a few times around campus, but never with a girl so...close. Not around pumpkins no less. But when Braum told him about eggs and feathers ruffling the face went from disgusted at the glowpede to utterly mortified. He sat, silent well beyong the grave as the demon left him, the expression frozen in pure terror. FEAR? Braum might as well have used FEAR on Israfel judging by the reaction alone. The slam of Cricket was like rude awakening he needed. Snapping out of it, the siren started to check his wings, his chest, his pockets, his ears, and...his shoes. He was most certainly bird like..But he was a siren! They mated with humans...or something. But... His grandmother and great great gram could take avian form so...
Slowly, his head turned to face Braum, skin paler then most ghosts. "I might lay eggs?" His voice was very subdued, very small, very weak, and very very feminine. High pitched and bordering on 'chirpy'. It was rare for the siren's voice to fluctuate so drastically from vaguely male to full on female, but when it did, it was usually from some kind of shock or trauma.
And the idea that he could start laying eggs was pretty darn traumatic for a Siren who had yet to even hit puberty by his race's standard.

Tess had been keeping silent, content to ponder on other things like how this class reminded her that her particular specie of vampire simply loved unborn humans and how she could use a drink of amniotic cola at that moment. When the commotion between Sammy and this winged demon broke out (Tess wasn't listening very well but she assumed he must have said something that set the undead off, no, really Tess? What gave it away?), she heard her name being mentioned. Oh and that bit about jaw-smashing too. She winced, a hand gingerly rubbing the spot the guitar hit, she was still sporting a fading bruise, but she bore no hard feelings. Not like she didn't do her fair share of damage to the other band.
Speaking which, she had scooted closer to Iggy by the wall. Mostly to stay out of harm's way in case things got violent. And then they did! Sorta. Emily went on a tirade then Nurse Cricket gave her warning and the winged vampire could have sworn she was right in the middle of one of those skelenovelas shown on the skelevision that her mother watched. "How are you doing, Iggy?" she whispered to the stone angel while tryin to wave to Lizzy. Maybe the spider demon would join them?

Tahki instantly brightened when she looked over her shoulder to see her friend Amrita there. Amrita was her best ghoul friend and always seemed to be there when she needed her. The two had gone through battle of the bands together with the help of Israfel. In the end, Tahki had ruined it for them all knocking the other team out along with their own.
Hopefully Israfel didn't hate her. She hadn't talked to him since.
But right now that wasn't the time to dwell on that. Amrita had come over to sit by her and she couldn't help but beam.
"Come sit with us~" Tahki whispered and scooted a little closer to Julian to make some room for Amrita. The gryphon gave Julian and Sin a friendly smile.
"This is my best ghoul friend Amrita," Tahki informed Julian and Sin very proudly in a hushed whisper so as not to disrupt class. It felt good to say that out loud for once. Tahki wanted everyone to know she had the greatest friend ever. A friend who'd go on stage with Tahki if she asked her to just to cover up a little white lie.

Trying to be as unobtrusive as possible, Emily crept back into the classroom. She had considered just...not coming back. Possibly just going into her room and never leaving again. Nurse Cricket had gotten angry, she'd disrupted...well, everyone's conversations, and apparently the boy she'd yelled at was severely unwell. Could it be that she had informed him about protective charms too late?! She wanted to sneak a quick look at him to see if anything looked to be...rotting, but couldn't bring herself to do so.
Deciding it would be best if she really did just sit herself in a corner for the rest of the class, Emily sighed. At least she had managed to stop crying. At least nobody had pointed at her yelling things like, "For shame!" or "Burn her!" or "Impudent dog!" - when she had come in. All of which had featured heavily in her mind as she walked back from the bathroom. And at least now they were on topic. Which was what she had really wanted in the first place.
The witch stared at the wall, back hunched. At least she had come back, instead of running away. That was a good thing, wasn't it? The right thing to do. Emily sniffled softly, and she definitely was not going to cry (again) in class. Definitely not! She would stay! And become informed! And then apologize after!
...and maybe slip protection charms under everyone's doors in the middle of the night.

Oh boils...Sin could handle a lot really, she understood that Julian had somekind of connection or what have you with the monster girl. The gryphon was sort of normal anyway she could almost pass for an odd subspecies of demon if need be. Then came Amrita, Sin's tolerance for undead was a bit less then her more open view of monsters or even ghosts. Still she struggled not to frown and gave a tiny half smile. All the boo-tox in the world couldn't have kept that smile on forever. She slowly glanced at Julian her lips falling into a harsh line before her features relaxed, it was her way of silently telling him 'this is all your fault'.
Still she could just be rude, especially since Tahki claimed that the undead ghoul was her best friend. Sin gave a tiny nod and then pretended to focus on the professor. At least in class she had a good enough reason not to engage in wildly friendly conversation.

"Um. . . . "
All of this had been way, way waaaaaaay over the chupacabra's head, the little monster listening to all her fellow students with wide eyes and open ears. The stuff they were saying confused her just a little bit, as everyone knew babies had to come from the pumpkin patch (right?), so why were they all overreacting? Stay away from the pumpkin patch and you don't get babies, right?
And then the horror stories of how else babies could be made started coming, and Chuppi's face would have melted with embarrassment if she already wasn't doing her best to hold on and not freak out. Instead she buried as much of it as she could into her claw-hands, her cheeks burning a bright green that faded to a darker shade the more she listened in. Were her parents really that off in telling her where babies come from? She'd always thought it odd when she would wake up to find two or three babies running around, her younger siblings, and she'd never seen a pumpkin.
"Ahh.......aye dios mio. . . ."
She didn't know how much more of this she could listen to, and the little monster started to look around for someone she knew. Perhaps they could help make more sense of this to her?

Were his eyes deceiving him, or was shy, meek little Julian with not one, but three ghouls? Huh. For some reason, that was oddly fascinating to Morton, whom was more used to seeing the bird-like demon as the withdrawn, shy type. Why... Coralie and he had practically had to beg the guy to participate in the Battle of the Bands with them! Heck, they'd had to pull him on stage, because he'd been so utterly intimidated by the idea.
The same curiosity that had brought him to the classroom in the first place, tugged at him, and as soon as Nurse Cricket gathered his piece of paper, he nudged Coralie and made motion to Julian. It was almost as if he were silently telling her that she was free to do whatever, but he was going to check that out, thank you very much.
It never occurred to him that curiosity often time killed the cat. But then again, he wasn't a cat, now was he?
Getting up from his chair, he moved over to where Tahki, Julian, Sin and Amrita, "Mind if I join you guys?" he asked, and then paused after looking at the gryphon, almost as if he were pondering something. A second passed and he snapped his boney finger, "I remember you; you were in the battle of the bands, weren't you?" his gaze slipped over to the undead girl, "Both of you, actually," he wouldn't have normally noticed, since at the time he'd been a bit occupied, but he'd noticed Julian watching them. He hadn't asked though - it hadn't been his place.

Julian really wished he knew what was going to happen in this class. It really made him wish that he got actual visions rather than just feelings of impending doom that he was naturally drawn to. But his troubled thoughts were interrupted by the approach of another ghoul, this one an undead by the looks of it. Well, it wasn't really that difficult to tell.
Julian caught Tahki's bright expression and a slight flush darkened his cheeks when the gryphoness scooted closer to him to make room for her friend.
"My name's Julian," he said softly, giving Amrita a small nod in greeting. He remembered her from BotB, she had been playing in Tahki's group. And not terribly, considering her hands.
He turned to Sin, sitting back a bit so that Amrita could make eye contact if she wanted. "And this is Sin." He didn't miss the 'all your fault' look and frowned in a confused manner at his only demon friend. Was there something wrong with Tahki and her friend coming to sit with them? He didn't understand what the problem was.
If Sin had been irked at non-demons joining their group, she would be beside herself soon enough.
He blinked up at Morton, shrugging a bit when he asked to join them. The owl-demon's feathers got a bit ruffled the longer Morton stared at Tahki, but he didn't notice and the moment was gone. The gargoyle had only been trying to recall where he had seen them before.
"Sin was, too," Julian added, giving the demoness a small nod. He figured if Morton was coming over, chances were that Cora would be joining them, too. That would make two demons, two monsters, an undead, and a reaper. All they needed was a ghost and they'd cover the whole species basis. And, unlike the other troubled group, they were getting along... At least he thought so.

Sin couldn't believe it, here came yet ANOTHER...err what was he? He was skeletal...an undead? Yet he could have been a monster for he resembled a gargoyle, an undead monster? Whatever he was, he WASN'T a dmeon and Sin was starting to get a LITTLE irked. Really she was trying to be open minded but if she was seen rubbing noses with a bunch of non-demons in a sex-ed class her reputation might not survive. She felt her fingers slowly clench into a little fist under her desk and tensed.
She really couldn't manage to just ignore them especially after Julian introduced her. She wanted to give him a good whack upside his featherbrained skull, but everyone would notice. Instead she settled for glancing at Morton and offering a little smirk.
"Yeah I was...and the Howling Harlots won, so you better be careful if you end up in the semi's against us..." She glanced at Julian again her eyes narrowing slightly. No good deed went unpunished apparently, she had tried to help Julian loose some of his intense shyness and now look! He was surrounded by companions...NON demon companions, and so was she.

She couldn't help but fidget in her seat as the "quarrel" begun; while she didn't think there was anything wrong with not knowing much about 'how babies are made', Lizzy couldn't help but feel embarrassed when Braum sort of berated Israfel. That embarrassment soon turned to nervousness as she started to breathe in deeper at the Undead ghoul's outburst, trying not to tear up in class. She might be a demon, but she had never intentionally treated anyone like they were inferior. She had, however, encountered those who thought she was just faking it... She hated how others always seem to stereotype demons as 'ego inflated hell-spawn' from the start. It was both tiring and to her, really ironic. When demons treat a non-demon badly, they are upset. When they treat them as equals, they doubt the demon's sincerity...
When Cricket yelled at the class, she looked up, feeling rather relieved that she would not have to listen to more students bickering. It was rather painful to listen to, after all.
Spotting a most familiar face, she smiled a little, waving for Iggy to join her; they might have lost that match, but she enjoyed their time together as a band.

Coralie let out an approving "hmph" to go along with her smile as Morton clearly decided it was more interesting to go and "crash the party" than watch it. Fine by her. She slipped out of her seat, following along until she reached what seemed to becoming quite a crowd. She recognized Tahki from shopping, she thought, and she had bumped into Sin at the Maul before. The other girl she was unfamiliar with though. She eyed her curiously for a moment with a quirked smile before lending her ear towards the conversation.
"Don't worry," Coralie said, casually taking on seat on top of Sin's desk, as she didn't really feel like looking for a free one in a group this size. "If we meet you semi-finals we'll definitely make it interesting. Even if Morton knocks us both out with his enthusiasm." She watched Sin briefly, watching how she maintained herself. Coralie had usually only seen her around other demons and such during other classes...huh. Interesting.

This had been a rather exciting class, and while he was still coloring pumpkin babies, giving them all names, on a extra piece of paper, his ears pivoted when the insult-slinging started. He HAD to turn around, and like a train wreck, he watched as a undead and some bird guy first played with his friend Israfel and then yelled at the undead for insulting the girl that had been hanging on the birdman's arm. Calder's conclusion? Braum was hitting on Israfel while dating the girl, even though he denied it, and had a heated hatred for the undead girl that was would probably turn to hot passion at a later date or when some scenario shoved them together. Clearly this had perfect logic behind it because Calder had read plenty of romance novels where just this happened, and what better way to become smarter about the world than to read books to learn facts.
It was Nurse Cricket who got fed up, as she should have, since the entire thing could have broken into a brawl. Now THAT would have been exciting! He was bouncing in his seat until the teacher took control of the class again and made sure everyone knew the boundaries they were limited to in the discussion. In short – behave or bad things will happen.
Everything went quiet again and Calder turned back in his seat to look at the half dozen pumpkins he drew before looking around again. He felt too excited, too pumped up, to just go back to drawing. Turning around, he spotted several people he knew. Belladonna was trying to shove her face in her hat, to which he crumpled up a piece of paper – NOT THE DOODLE OF HIS FURTURE FAMILY! – and threw it at the witch's head. "PSSTT! Bellladonna. Whatcha doing?" He said, and not one to wait on just one person to talk to, he waved to others he knew. "Hey guys. Hey! Chuppi! Israfel. Hhhhheeeeeyyy." He whispered to them, a long hiss to get their attention. "PPPsssssttt. Hey guys. Whatcha doing? Come on! This class is fun. Who doesn't like babies?" He grabbed his picture and held it out to show them, even if they might have to squint to see it. "Look at them. Aren't they cute? Are you going to have babies when you grow up? Hey guys. Pssstt." He wanted to KNOW!
Just thinking about pumpkins made him want to clasp his hands together and go AWWWW!!! Looking up at the desk, he saw the teacher already move one. What did that mean? Curious, he raised his hand high in the air. "Teacher! Miss Cricket Madam? Can I hold a pumpkin?"

Sin almost jumped when Coralie sat on her desk but as she looked up she actually relaxed a little. She really like the reaper, she seemed like she'd be such a great ghoul friend, except that she was a reaper. Reapers could be the best of alliances, or the most dangerous to a demon depending on how things went. Still, Cora seemed nice enough and Sin gave an actual smile before leaning in and propping her head on her hand.
"I'm sure it'll be an interesting match at least...we've been working on a new song...though last time there was little room for lyrics with instruments flying around." She was slightly relaxed again, at least her excuse with Cora was that she knew her...sort of. She thought of her application to Lucky 13 and prayed to jack that whoever wrote acceptances couldn't see her now.
"So, what do you think our assignment will be? Looks like we're being paired off based on our questionnaire answers."

After the commotion had calmed down, Alcie listened to the hum of conversations around her. She had never really placed herself as superior to other races but she knew that her family was slightly egotistical about their standing in society. They expected Alcie to mingle with different demon families and make some friends in high places but that was really the least of her concerns. Alcie still had a lot of growing to do and it would be a little more time until she either embraced her demon heritage or not.
All of a sudden, Alcie felt a little out of her element as she watched all of the students that knew each other gathered together. It was a strange feeling. She was used to being social and chatting it up with everybody but lately she had been feeling rather hesitant. Frowning slightly, Alcie tried to pay attention to the professor hoping that it would just look like she was being studious or something.
The water demon looked around once more and noticed a familiar face in the distance. She had met the other demon, Lizzy, in their dorm one time and she got up out of her seat and moved over next to Lizzy. "Hello there!" It had been awhile since she had talked to Lizzy but hopefully the other demon would remember her.

Despite the fact Morton was usually rather laidback as a rule of thumb, he was also rather observant by nature (There was very little a gargoyle could do while it was posed over a ledge other than, well, observe things). As such, he was actually able to catch the way Julian bristled when he'd stared at Tahki. He arched a brow, apparently amused, and then decided to store that in a cabinet at the back of his mind for later.
"Mmmm?" he turned to Sin when Julian mentioned the demoness had also been at the battle of the bands, then cocked his head to one side, "You were? I don't remember you," a pause as he realized that might actually sound rude, and instead pointed at the harbinger, "I only noticed the other two because they were in the same group, and Julian here kept staring at them," a smirk crossed his features, almost as if a direct response to Sin's own, "Oh, really now?" it was clear he'd been about to say more, but Coralie's appearance momentarily distracted him, "It was totally not my fault that those stupid sticks weren't doing what I wanted them to," granted, the witch was right; he'd probably caused more damage to his own team than to the rival team.
Watching Sin and Cora, it seemed like the two had previous met. Interested, and absolutely shameless, he allowed his head so that his chin landed on Cora's shoulder, "You know eachother?" he asked before his gaze shifted to the demoness, "We're going to be put in pairs?" a pause as the gargoyle's eyes rolled up, making it obvious he was wondering just WHY they needed to be put in pairs, "Nothing comes to mind that I would care to share with the class."
