Hï†ðmï Äßµråmê ¥µkïgåkµrê Genin
Silently, a young woman walked into the Yukigakure's Academy. She was new here, but was in no way a student. The headband on her belt proved that she was a graduate, though she was dressed nothing like a shinobi of the snow. Her garb was light, though concealing. She looked like she was about to go on a leisurely walk through the forest. Without knowledge of her history, one would more-than-likely automatically confuse here with the shinobi of Konohagakure. Her hair was brown and lightly curled, making it bounce with each step. Her eyes were carefully guarded with her glasses, as were her curves. Beneath her right arm, she held a scroll. The only marking on the scroll was a large beetle sealing the parchment shut. The simple application of a burst of chakra made the insect fade from sight, causing the paper to gently flutter open. Hitomi was prepared to train once more. Silently, she looked over the first technique. The words were gibberish, but the images were just great. A series of handsigns and insects would come to her. It looked simple enough, but just to be she went to a clear area in the Academy. Insects flew from her sleeves and collar, creating a large cloud around her. They settled around her and watched her. Their tiny eyes taking in her every movement. "Hijutsu: Mushiyose..." She muttered, as she performed the proper signals. The ground around her took up a slight glow, as her chakra formed a web. Her bugs took up on the signal and quickly crawled back to her. The technique was a success. [Training: Hijutsu: Mushiyose (Secret Technique: Insect Gathering) 1/1] Looking over the next step in her path to surpassing her parents, she stroked her chin. A clone, simple enough. She brought her hands together and watched her insects clamber together quickly. Each new insect, caused the pile to rise, eventually forming a foot , then a leg and so-on and so-forth. Finally a fully functional clone was left. [Training: Mushi Bunshin no Jutsu (Insect Clone Technique) 1/1] Remembering the following technique, Hitomi dispelled the clone. Her hands flew into action, following the explosion. With each sign, a small burst of chakra was released, guiding her insects to form a large, spinning wall in front of her. Their buzzing harmony was music to her ears. Behind her children, she felt invincible. [Training: Mushi Kabe no Jutsu (Insect Wall Technique) 1/1] She looked over the next technique, then gave the signal for her children to swarm around her. They flew quickly, surrounding her entirely. Even light couldn't make it to her. As they flew, each insect let out a tiny trail of silk and wax, forming a thick blanket of protective silk around her. Her body stood completely still, but her insects flourished. She was like a statue -- a living monument to her insects.[Training: Hijutsu: Mushimayu (Secret Technique: Insect Cocoon) 1/1] The silken iron maiden slowly began to bulge, as the rampant multiplication of the insects took up what little room there was. Large spheres rose near the head and chest, until finally the cocoon could hold no longer. The silk exploded in a swarm of insects, tearing away at the air at the discretion of their conductor. Hitomi's arms flew gracefully, as the insects followed. It was almost magical. The buzzing of her children shut out then entire world. In this, there were no people to impress, just her and her children. It was paradise. [Training: Mushi Kame no Jutsu (Insect Jar Technique) 1/1] In one fluid motion, Hitomi lead her insects to one central point. Her knees were bent ever-so-slightly lowering her center of gravity. Standing with a slight turn in her stance, her left foot was planted firmly in front of her. The insects flew just above her right knee, spinning a perfectly contained sphere. [Training: Kikaichū Drill (Destruction Bug Drill) 1/3] A quick pushing motion sent the insects forward, flying in a large spear-like projectile. They danced gracefully, sending off a loud buzz. As they went forward, they began spinning in and out of each other, making the technique seem to be aimless. Even Hitomi was not sure of its direction. When she began questioning her insects, they immediately grew confused and lost focus. The technique dispersed onto the ground, leaving her with a pile of insects that slowly made their way back to her.[Training: Kikaichū Drill (Destruction Bug Drill) 2/3] Gathering her insects once more, Hitomi formed the sphere without a problem. Another quick push and her babies were flying true as an arrow. They tore straight through the air, then curved toward the ceiling. On this path, they spread just inches away from the ceiling, then headed toward their mother. [Training: Kikaichū Drill (Destruction Bug Drill) 3/3] Finally Hitomi opened the top of her coat. The insects saw this opening and immediately flew into it. Although, this was not their only point of entry. The insects flew into her sleeves and pants' legs -- more frighteningly, they began burrowing into her face and hands. [Training: Kikaichū no Jutsu (Destruction Bug Host Technique) 1/3] She let out a scream of agony, as they tore into her body. She had no idea that this is what it meant to be a true host -- a true shinobi. Her body fell back, twitching. The insects were channeling through her body, following a clear path just millimeters away from her chakra paths. They scuttled through her bones, hiding in any place they could call home. Meanwhile, Hitomi was left a bloody mess.[Training: Kikaichū no Jutsu (Destruction Bug Host Technique) 2/3] Soon, her body went into an almost, complete shock. Her children were forcing the injuries they had inflicted shut. The thousands of perforations were reduced to practically nothing. Eventually, she felt nothing. The holes were slowly changing into something she could accept as a natural part of her body. In fact, she felt like it was something she had been missing for the longest time. it felt right.[Training: Kikaichū no Jutsu (Destruction Bug Host Technique) 3/3] Laying there, caked in blood, Hitomi closed her eyes. Her body was still sore from her final technique. She'd be out for a while...

Hï†ðmï Äßµråmê ¥µkïgåkµrê Genin
Some time later, after a well deserved nap, the young Aburame awoke. Her hair was slightly askew, but everything else seemed to be in order. Her skin was cleaned of all traces of blood, thanks to her lovely children. Most importantly, her eyes were hidden by her pitch black sunglasses. Hitomi silently gathered her belongings, just after regaining her consciousness. She needed to get out of here quickly. Sure, the Yukikage and his assistant were pleasant enough in receiving her, but she knew nothing of the shinobi -- other than the twins she met earlier. Yes, the twins were a sight. She would probably never forget them... Her things gathered, she slid her bag over her shoulder. It was time to begin her life in the land of Snow.

[ Raiden Hatake ]
After his stop at the Yukikage's office and receiving his headband, Raiden wanted to check off the next thing on his mental to-do list: today, he planned on training until he'd collapse from exhaustion. Eagerness boiled in his burning heart and he was more than ready to begin training as a Genin. He knew that every step he took, if taken wisely, would lead him one step closer to accomplishing his goal in life.
Eventually, the droopy-eyed boy arrived at the very classroom he had once attended, as an academy student. A bittersweet expression overcame his face and his eyelids drooped dreamily as he began to reminisce. This place, this wonderful place was where he made his first real friend, Shou Uchiha... and also where he fell in love for the first time with an amazing girl named Mizuki. He deeply missed his close friend, Shou, and wished that the boy was still around to keep him company and well, to do what friends usually did. Ever since his untimely death, Rai felt as if a piece of his heart was missing. Shou, like his family, could never be replaced by any amount of good memories or length of time. Saddened eyes raised up from the desk that Shou used to sit in and wandered over to the bookshelf in the corner of the room. Weary from the secret depression that he buried deep inside his heart, Rai lazily made his way over to the shelf. Once he was before it, he ran his fingers across the a row in search for a few scrolls that corresponded with his elements and style of fighting. Upon finding said scrolls, he tossed them in his backpack, zipped it back up and headed out of the classroom. At the doorway, he gave the isolate room one last, good look and felt his gaze grow watery. "Mph..." a deep, moan-like sigh escaped his lips, out past the veil of his skintight collar and up into the chilly atmosphere. He blinked the water in his eyes away and forced a momentary smile saying, "See ya at the spot... Shou." a statement he used to make about the restaurant he and his friend visited on occasion. Afterwards, Raiden left the classroom to find a good spot to begin his training.

[ Raiden Hatake ]
Raiden ran a hand through his snow white hair, thoughtfully scratching the back of his head a bit as he searched for an empty area to train in. After a short period of searching, he finally stumbled upon a wide, isolate space... the academy's backyard. It was more than perfect for training! Quiet, spacious and it even had a few training essentials such as wooden dummies, scattered about the tightly packed snow. What more did Rai need? It amazed him that he hadn't thought of coming here earlier. Then again, this place used to be packed with academy students and Genin, training diligently. Rai strode a few steps onto the packed, flattened layer of snow. He scratched his head once more and thought, I'll do some warm up exercises first... just like training back at the academy.
Rai started off with some simple training: during his schooling at the academy, he had become so efficient in the art of performing hand signs that he started to perform basic techniques without any signing whatsoever. Still, Rai didn't know if his talent would work with more complex jutsu but he was willing to find out, in time. As for now, hand signs were still an important detail that shinobi could not blatantly overlook. [1/5]
So he brought his pale hands together and formed one of the simpler hand signs, 'dog': one hand formed a loose fist while the other rested in a calm fashion right atop his fist. Pretty easy, right? Next up was 'serpent': Rai clasped both his hands together and allowed his fingers to interlace, as a couple would if they held hands. Afterwards, he followed suit, performing boar, hare, tiger, rat and monkey accordingly. Piece of cake. [2/5]
After he was through with the much easier hand signs, he started to practice the remained which usually trouble most academy students: bird, dragon, horse, ox and ram. These too were pretty easy for Rai. All he had to do was imagine them in his mind, imagine the series of hand signs before he performed them. And if he had a clear picture of these hand signs, he could perform them with ease. Rai credited his father too though, for chores and training pops put him through helped develop his dexterity to quite a level. [3/5]
"Hmm?" he lazily hummed to himself. It appeared that he was done practicing hand signs. So what was next? How about... chakra control? That sounded good to him. Rai sat down Indian-style, crossing his legs like first-graders would during show-and-tell. He shut his droopy eyes and 'felt' for his chakra. Once he had a mental grasp on it, Rai clasped his hands together and formed the 'serpent' hand sign. From there he began to manipulate his chakra, shifting it to different locations in his body. [4/5]
It wasn't hard at all; as long as nobody or nothing disrupted his concentration, he could easily control his chakra and move it from limb to limb. It was almost as if he was very chakra that flowed throughout his entirety. The feeling was, peaceful and deep. If he didn't wake from this training soon, Raiden would probably be surprised by how much time passed him by. [5/5]
His eyes finally fluttered open. The brilliant light reflecting off the snow threw him off for a few seconds and he felt light-headed. Wearily, he stood back up to his feet and shook his head lightly. At least his portion of his 'warm-up' training was over. It was time to move on to the next warm-up exercise.

[ Raiden Hatake ]
Next up was another short session of basic chakra training. This time, Rai was going to make the session a little bit harder for himself. Pulling out one of his scrolls, his seemingly tired gaze studied the techniques and focused on the specific hand signs that were required to perform each jutsu. After a few minutes of reading and soaking in the information, he had a clear picture of the hand signs that were necessary for quite a few techniques. [1/5]
The snow-haired boy rolled his borrowed scroll back up and tucked it away, back inside his back pack. This time, I'll focus on the speed of my hand signs. he thought to himself as he brought both his hands together once again. Since Rai was already pretty proficient in performing hand signs, he felt that it wouldn't hurt to start off with a harder series of hand signs. Thus he performed the set of hand signs necessary to summon a technique called 'Chidori'. Course, he couldn't use the technique himself, but the good set of hand signs it required made for great practice. [2/5]
The hand signs for Chidori went something like this: Ox, Rabbit, Monkey, Dragon, Rat, Bird, Ox, Snake, Dog, Tiger and Monkey. Rai started off at a slow pace, gradually working his way through the hand signs at about one hand sign per two seconds. After one cycle, he began to speed up and, as he performed said hand signs more and more quickly, he eventually switched it up, playing backwards through the series of hand signs. Doing so, he followed suit and gradually worked his way up from a slower to an increasingly faster pace. [3/5]
After he was done with that half of his training, Rai moved on to chakra channeling and settlement. His gaze wandered back over to the academy and settled upon the structure. "The side of the academy should do." he murmured from beneath the skintight, black collar that masked his lower face. Making his way over to the wall, he shut his eyes for a moment and began to focus chakra to the bottom of his feet, primarily his the soles and balls of his two feet. [4/5]
Once he felt a good and balanced amount of chakra gathered in the bottom of his feet, Rai opened his eyes and took a step onto the side of the building. His foot seemed to stick to the wall like a spider clinging to a solid surface. Mustering up a little confidence, he placed his other foot on the wall as well. It wasn't too hard, just liked back in the academy... not bad at all. Rai continued to climb up the vertical surface by means of his feet. Shortly after he was about halfway up, he focused chakra into the palms of his hands and used his strength to pull himself into a horizontal handstand, taking a few steps upwards with his two hands. [5/5]
A minute or so after, he made his way to the rooftop of the academy. A serene gaze formed upon his face as he stared out towards the centre of Yukigakure. One day, Rai hoped... he could not only make his name known throughout the land but, be of good use for his own village as well.
