Spirit sighed to herself and turned on her back. She lay there, her eyes closed as she thought.

After a while, Alex decided that he had enough and went back into his tent. He dried himself out and slowly went to sleep.

Spirit was already asleep. She turned on to her side, curling in to a light ball as she dreamed of the times she and Alex played together when they were kids.

Alex smiled in his sleep as he had the same dream.

Spirit gave a soft sigh, a light smile playing across her lips at the dream.

Alex later woke up from the sun hitting his eyes. "Must be morning." he said to himself as he sat up and stretched.

Spirit was alright awake. She sat next to a fire she'd build, poking at it with a stick as she cooked some meat over the flames.

Alex came out and saw Spirit. "How long have you've been up?" he asked as he sat down next to her.

Spirit looked up at Alex, "About a half hour." She said, tilting her head some.

He nodded as he looked back at the fire. "Something tells me that after breakfast, we are going to continue."

Spirit nodded, "We can't really fall behind on our schedule." She said, moving some bangs from her eyes.

He nodded. "alright, I guess i'll start serving."

Spirit shook her head, "I've got it." She said, taking the meat down and put an equal amount of meat on each plate. She handed one to Alex and took a bite of her meat.

Alex looked at the meat in front of him and took a bite. He smiled, very pleased of how it tasted. "This is really good."

Spirit smiled, "I'm glad you like it." She said, taking another bite of her food. She began to think that maybe this would be one of the last meals she'd have with Alex before she had to marry the prince and she felt a twinge in her heart at that.
