Death   Death nodded and carefully stood, walking over to his wife and handing her their son, being extremely gentle about it. He didn't know exactly what to do now, but knew that he wanted to remain with his wife. Just then, his cell phone went off and he went out of the room to answer it. Unintelligible shouts were heard from the hallway, and then he walked back in, his eyes dead and flat as he looked down.
"I need to go now..." he said, just barely keeping the anger out of his tone.

Death Death nodded slightly, and he leaned down, kissing Life and their son upon the forehead. He then put his hand on Life's hand for a second, then left.
"Why did you call me in this soon after my wife gave birth?" he growled at his secretary as he entered his office.

Life smiled up at Death as she watched him leave. She remained sitting in her chair until their son had finished feeding. Once their son was done Life slowly got out of her chair and moved over towards their bed, laying Thanatos in the crib that was next to her side of the bed. She then slowly walked out of their bedroom heading outside to her garden with a baby monitor in her hand. She sat on a bench and closed her eyes as she felt the life flowing around her in her garden. She enjoyed how peaceful it seemed to be when she was outside, enjoying the time to relax and think.
A short time later Life felt the presence of her friend Mia, opening her eyes she smiled up to her friend. Her smile faltered as she saw the expression on Mia's face, worry coursing through her as she spoke. "Mia what is it? Whats wrong?" Mia closed her eyes for a second before opening them once more and speaking to Life, her tone void of all emotions. "Life, your family is in danger. Your creators and Death's creators are not happy that you have bred a child that shares both of your gifts. They are planning on taking your son from you and punishing Death. They seem to believe that this was all caused by Death and want him punished. You have to take your son and Death some place safe, a place where no one can find you! You must do it now, they are getting ready to strike!"
Life went pale as she heard everything that Mia had said, watching as her friend vanished from in front of her. Life closed her eyes for a second and found herself back in her room. She gathered up as much clothing for herself and her family, moving quickly as she called out to Death, praying he would heed her warning. 'Death! Love you have to return home now! Mia said...They want to kill our son and take you from me...P-Please come home...Come home and take us to the crystal palace you showed to me...We must hide, no one can ever find us...Please love!' Tears were streaming down her cheeks, her emotions no longer held separate from Death. As she gathered up more clothing and everything that they would need for their son into suitcases and diaper bags Death would feel all her emotions, her worry, fear, terror, everything. She moved to the crib and picked up Thanatos and held him in her arms close to her heart as she waited for Death to return.
((Thought I would add a little drama into the RP lol. Hope your ok with that.))

Death Death felt Life's emotions, and all the pain that he had been holding back could be held back no longer. He yelled, straining against his bonds, trying to ignore the condescending laughter of the man he'd thought to be his secretary.
"Let me go! Let me get back to my wife in child!" he shouted, tears of pain, and sweat as well, rolling down his face. Blood leaked down his face too, and it was salty as it mixed with his tears. Another blow landed upon him, and he cried out in pain, all of his emotion and pain suddenly breaking the tenuous hold he had retrieved only seconds before, going through his and Life's bond, straight to Life. Then darkness took him, and suddenly he was absent from the bond. ((Oh I don't mind at all... twisted ))

As the pain that was Death flowed through their bond Life cried out and staggered slightly. She whimpered as she closed her eyes and transported her and Thanatos, as well as all their luggage, to the crystal palace. She prayed that the Gods and Goddesses wouldn't be able to sense her or Thanatos in this place. After she transported Thanatos' crib to the palace she laid him down and softly whispered to him to remain sleeping.
Life stood in the center of the palace and projected her voice into Mia's mind. 'Mia, if anything happens to myself or Death please watch over Thanatos for us. Promise me you will do that.' When she got her answer Life sighed, almost slumping against the floor before stiffening her spine. She was going to get Death back, she would do whatever she had to to get him back.
As she stood in the center of the palace she closed her eyes willing herself into the throne room of the gods. As she appeared she remained standing, her spine stiff and her shoulders squared even though all she wanted to do was beg for them to spare Death and Thanatos. She looked her creator's in the eyes, and then looked at Death's creator's. "I will willingly return if you leave Death and our child alone. I will do whatever you want of me as long as Death and our son remain alive." She took a deep breath as she gathered her courage and sent a quick mental message to Death, hoping that he would be able to hear it when he woke. 'Death, my love, take care of Thanatos. Remain hidden in the palace and don't come for me. I will do whatever it takes to keep you two alive. I...I love you!' With those words she closed her mind to everything but her goal.
She looked at them all as she stood in front of them, not knowing what they would do. "I will take whatever punishment upon myself. I will give my gift to another, I will gladly die to keep them safe. Please, do what you will with me and spare them, I was the one that wanted to have a child." She stood there waiting to see what they would decide. As the guards were ordered to take Life to a cell in the Underworld, she didn't fight, she allowed her arms to be grabbed and walked willingly to that place she had never been. She knew that her arms would be bruised from the grip the guards had on her and that her skin would become red from the heat, she didn't care she ignored it all, thinking of Thanatos and Death.

Death Death slowly woke, the agony in his head making him cringe as he tried to figure out where he was. He realized that he was no longer crucified to the wall, but was instead curled up into a tight ball upon the floor. He stood, staggering as he did so; he had lost too much blood. He heard Life's last message to him, and also could sense their son in the palace, hidden away with another presence beside him. Death instantly was at the place where he felt his son, and stepped in front of his son before he realized that the other presence was Mia. When he realized this, Death fell to his knees, anguish and agony overcoming him.
"Mistress Mia, please... I cannot live without my beloved Life... Thanatos... I will take care of him as well as I am able... But I need Life... I cannot be without her... I can already feel myself dying..." he whispered. He could feel something else as well, a darker side of him awakening, a side he had not seen for many years. He felt his back start to prickle, and he felt wings ripping through his skin. He bit back a howl of utter agony as he fell to his hands and knees upon the floor. Tears of blood fell from his eyes as they turned the bloodiest of red in colour, and his hair seemed to flicker between ebony and the whitest of white. Slowly, he stood, his gentle side almost all but lost. He cast a glare at Mia, a gentle look at Thanatos, and then disappeared from the palace, intent upon getting his Life back. ((Okay. And I hope that you know and like where I am going with this. Also, I had a theory about his and Life's relationship, which I will explain in the pm.))

Life laid in the prison cell on the soft mattress that she had been given. She wasn't sure what was being decided, she just hoped that Death wouldn't try anything and get the Gods and Goddesses more upset with them. As she laid on the bed she closed her eyes and pulled up images of Death and Thanatos. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks, but quickly turned to steam as the heat evaporated them. Blisters were covering her skin and she was feeling weak with all the death around her.
Aphrodite, Hades, Hera & Zeus all sat in the throne room, none of the other Gods and Goddesses permitted entrance. They talked about what to do with Life, Death and their child. Once said to kill them all, another said to kill Life and grant her her boon, another said to kill Death and Life and keep the child and the other said to kill the child in front of them to teach them a lesson. None understood the connection between Life and Death, they didn't understand how Life could love a monster like Death.
As Life laid in her cell she rested her hands over her still round stomach as she mentally touched her son's mind. She sent him her love and tenderness, but quickly withdrew from his mind, not wanting to risk drawing the attention to him. She then very lightly touched the edge of Death's mind, not able to keep herself from him fully, though she didn't allow him to sense her lurking at the edges of his mind. Life then sent a small message to Mia hoping that she could take care of Death and Thanatos for her. "Mia, I don't know what they are going to decide, but please care for Death and Thanatos for me, please help Death stay sane and calm. Teach Thanatos to share his energy with his father, help Death teach him all that we wanted to do." She closed her eyes and allowed herself to fully cry, not trying to hold them back anymore.

Death Death could barely feel his beloved wife in the back of his mind, and therefore, could not discern the message that she had given him. He was well on his way towards where the gods and goddesses were meeting, and he was nowhere close to gentle. He was, however, severely weakened already. He could feel the pain that Life was in, and he could feel his own life ebbing away as she remained in captivity. His anger and agony simmered and boiled, his dark side full to the front of his being as he went to set her free.
Mia, meanwhile, shook her head, and sent a message back to Life.
"Dearest friend, your husband has already gone. He has left Thanatos in my care. I do not understand what your husband said as he left though... He said that without you, he would die. Is it that you two share a symbiotic relationship? If so... Without either of you, this world will fall to chaos... I will help him and your son in any way I can, but you must be freed. My dearest friend, please calm him when you see him..." Mia thought towards Life. Shaking her head once again, Mia looked at the sleeping Thanatos, and sighed. "All of this for a baby..." she murmured softly.

Life gasped as she sat up on the mattress, her body trembling as she listened to Mia's words. She shook her head, fighting a wave of dizziness, feeling weaker and weaker by the minute. She didn't understand what Mia had said about her and Death, but if that was true then she knew either way they both would die. If the Gods chose to spare her but kill Death, nothing would keep her on this earth. She stood on trembling legs and walked to the cells bars. She grasped them, biting back a cry of pain as the heat seared her skin. She looked out through the cell bars to the guard that was to watch over her. "G-Guard...I must speak with the Gods and Goddesses...p-please let me speak to them..." She closed her eyes and tears continued to roll down her cheeks, quickly turning to steam. She focused on Mia, hoping she could think of a way to save them all. 'Mia, friend, gather Thanatos and bring him to the throne room when I tell you to. I am going to try and speak to the Gods and Goddesses before Death arrives and tries to kill them.'
With that Life stood at the bars and waited for the guard to walk over and open the cell, before he did though he restrained her. Cuffing her hands behind her back so she wouldn't be able to do anything. Once that was done her lead her to the throne room and shoved her inside, causing her to fall to her knees in front of the Gods and Goddesses. She breathed slowly, trying to get control of herself before looking to them and speaking in as calm a voice as she could. "Creators, please I beg of you. Hear me out and allow us to go please. I have found out that without me by his side Death will die. If I am killed, even if my 'gift' is given to another, there will never be balance again between Life and Death. The world, the humans and yours, will fall to chaos. Nothing will change what I have learned. I know this is so because I feel Death weakening, I too am weakening. P-Please s-spare us...p-please." Life bowed her head, tears rolling down her cheeks. She was willing to beg these being to spare her and her family, she would be willing to do anything if she could keep Death and Thanatos.

Bitter Ambrosia Death Death slammed open the doors to the throne room, barely a ghost of his gentleness present as he stormed in. Seeing Life bound and sobbing upon the floor, his rage boiled over.
"How dare you?!" he shouted, running towards the nearest god, impaling him upon a dark sword. Blood sprayed against the wall.
"You all will PAY BEFORE I BREATHE MY LAST!!!"he roared, launching himself at another god.

Life gasped as she heard the throne room door being broken from its hinges. She jumped up and threw herself at Death, she wasn't fast enough to stop him from harming one of the Gods. A sob slipped from her lips as she felt the blade of his sword slide into the God. She was standing to the side of Death, holding onto him, trying to stop him from harming anyone else. She whispered soothing words into his mind, not wanting to Gods and Goddesses to hear anything she said to him. But as she spoke to him mentally she also addressed the remaining God and Goddesses. 'Death, love, please calm down. Think of Thanatos, if you die now so will he. Mia will not be able to protect him or teach him how to control his gifts. Please love, please calm down for me. I need you to calm, I need to know you are here with me and are safe, p-please.' She pleasded with him, her voice trembling from her greif and fear, as well as from all that she had already indured. "God, Goddesses...p-please....please don't harm him. He can't die, without me he reverts to how he was before you sent me to calm him all those centuries ago. That is why he now has to have the weekends off like the mortals do." Tears will still rolling down her cheeks, blending with the blood that had splatteder across her face, the blood of Death's 'father'.

Death Suddenly going very still, Death looked at the slender figure that hung onto him. The gods and goddess watched the seen warily, wondering just what would happen next. Death's sword fell to the floor with a clatter as he turned to Life, tears falling from his closed eyes as he pulled her close.
"Life... My beloved Life..." he whispered, shaking as he held her. The gods and goddesses looked at each other as this scene took place, not sure what to think of it. Was it really all that had to be done, Life and Death left alive to take care of their child?
"Life and Death... You both will live. But you will not have another child. And this one will have to be trained very carefully. He will not be a rampant god like Death was, or we WILL kill him. Be very careful yourself Death. You have killed your own father, and in so doing, have incurred the most terrible of punishments. Perhaps we will carry it out, or perhaps we will forget about it... For now, the two of you may return to your son... But leave this palace." The gods seemed satisfied with this decision and watched as Death turned, still shaking as he took Life with him and began to leave the room.

Life closed her eyes as she held onto Death tightly, afraid of losing him again. A sigh slipped from her lips as she heard the clash of his sword falling to the floor, her body slowly relaxing a little in his arms as he held her back.
"Death, love, please...Lets forget about this and go home...I want to go h-home..." When the God and Goddesses spoke she gasped, scared that they would kill Death in front of her for killing his father. She trembled in Death's arms as she pressed her face into his chest, not wanting to look at them.
Life cried out, a sound that was stranggled from her throat, when she heard that they could go home to Thanatos. 'Mia, bring Thanatos quickly to the throne room, we are being let go, but I want my creators to see just who they are threatening to kill. They are saying if we don't train him propperly they will kill him, and knowing them they would first torture him in front of me for my failure.' She spoke to Mia mentally, wanting the God and Goddesses to see her son, to see why she was so willing to give up her own life to save Death and Thanatos.
"T-Thank you creators, thank you so much. We will train him well, and will make sure he knows how to control his gifts. Thank you for sparing my husband and my son, thank you!" As Life stood there she breathed slowly and smiled as she felt Mia appear in the room behind them. She heard Mia's gasp as she saw the body of Death's father laying dead on the floor of the throne room. Life slowly turned to Mia and held out her arms. "Thank you friend for watching after my son. You do not have to remaion here if you don't wish to."
Life slowly turned around to face the God and Goddesses again, she slowly walked past Death and moved closer to the thrones of the God and Goddesses. Thanatos was snuggled close to her chest as she held him in her arms, her voice was gentle as she spoke. "This, creators, is Thanatos, my son and your grandson. This is who you are sparing, and for that I thank you. We will train him properly. That I promise for we were already speaking about training him before Death was called away to the office." She sighed knowing that the God and Goddesses couldn't truly care that they now had a grandson, so she turned and walked over to Death's side. She could tell that he needed her next to him, and she needed him next to her. She had almost lost them both and didn't want to be far form either of them.
She looked up at Death as she leaned against his side as she held their son. "Take me home please Death, I want to go home." What they would find when they did get to their home was that Mia had taken the time to bring their luggage back to their house, almost as if she had known they would be all coming back alive.
