Diana nodded and smiled, pinky promising. "Okay. I wanted to ask you something. Why does Jake seem so unhappy?" she asked.

Cheyenne blinked, surprised. She stood fully, scratching at the back of her neck, "Jake and I had a little fight and, uh, well, we're not talking." She said, sadness flashing across her own features. She still liked Jake but after what he did she wasn't sure how she felt now.

"Oh...." Diana said, staring at Cheyenne for a few moments, as if she were trying to read her mind. Then she said, "Jake likes you."

Cheyenne was taken aback by that. She gave a small smile, "Don't be silly Diana, Jake....Jake doesn't like me. He's never really liked me." She said, feeling like that girl she did 2 years ago, before Jake and his family had moved. Cheyenne turned her head, "Sorry Diana, I have to go." She walked off with her bike, going to her house down the block. Once there, she put her bike in the garage, then went upstairs to her room.

"Whatever you say, Cheyenne." Diana told her, smiling. She turned and skipped back to her house.

Cheyenne sat silently on her bed. She looked at her bedside table, opening the bottom drawer. Inside were photo albums, year books and other mementos. She reached inside and pulled out a yearbook and an old journal, relaxing back on her bed and opening them.

Jake was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling, when Diana walked in. He looked at Diana. "How many times do I have to tell you, knock when you want to come in." he muttered, looking back at the ceiling. Diana frowned and climbed onto his bed, sitting on his stomach. "I talked to Cheyenne."
"ACK!" Jake gasped for breath when she sat on him. "So? You and her and friends. You always talk."

Cheyenne read some of the journal entries she'd written those 2 years ago. (it all just seems silly now.) She thought, turning the page and reading more.

"Yeah but I told her you like her." Jake blushed wildly. "YOU WHAT?!" "Don't worry, I don't think she believes me." Diana assured him. Jake wasn't sure if he should be comforted or discouraged by Cheyenne not believing he liked her....

Tears blurred Cheyenne's eyes and slid down her cheeks. She felt her heart break again, (I-I....I thought I was over him. Damn it.) She hung her head, letting the tears escape. She was confused, very confused. She didn't know how she felt now.

Jake sighed and reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. He fliped it open and stared at it. Should he? Eh, what else could go wrong? He thought, dialing Cheyenne's number, which Diana had put in there for herself. Diana smiled and skipped out of the room, having done her work.

Cheyenne heard the phone ring, but just lay in her room, hugging her pillow. She didn't want to answer it, not wanting to talk to anyone right now. One of her younger brothers answered it, "Hello, Power residence, Alex speaking." He said in to the phone. Alex was only ten but he was protective of his sister and he knew what happened between her and Jake.

"Hey, Alex....It's Jake....Listen, can I talk to Cheyenne? I....I want to apologize to her...." he said to Alex quietly.

Alex's eyes narrowed when he heard who it was, "Cheyenne's not speaking to anyone right now, but I can see if she wants to speak with you." He said coldly, walking upstairs with the phone in hand. He knocked on Cheyenne's door, calling through the wood, "Hey sis, it's for you, it's Jake." Cheyenne felt her heart skip a beat when she heard who it was. She didn't want to talk with him, she was still having mixed feelings. "I DON'T WANT TO TALK WITH ANYONE! TELL HIM TO PISS OFF!" She yelled turning so she faced the wall. Alex put the phone to his ear, knowing Jake had probably heard that,"See? She's not talking with anyone, call when she'd not pissed off at you." he hung up before Jake could answer.
(aw, poor Jake, everyone's mad at him.)

(Aww : ( Even though it's all his fault, you gotta feel bad for him xD)
Jake sighed and put away his phone. "I hate life." he muttered, closing his eyes. Diana frowned, having heard Cheyenne's yelling, even from the hallway. She walked downstairs. "Mom, I'm going to Alex's house!" Cheyenne was her friend, and Alex was her best friend. "Okay sweetie, have fun!"her mother called from the kitchen. Diana left the house, and started towards Cheyenne's house.
(Oh, and ever watch Dragon Ball Z Kai?)
