"I supose, hey Nika, go over there and make friends will you?" he nudged the fire pokemon with his foot. Nika gave him a look and sat down with her candy bar, ignoring him at the moment, far more intrested in food.

Lucas watched the Charmander's stubborn dedication to her food with amusement. He leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees. "Hey Nika, is that good?"

Nika looked up at the sound of the stranger using her name. She finished chewing her treat and swallowed. "Char!" Getting up she walked over to Lucas and looked up at him, wondering if he had a treat.
Panther snagged another candy and then shoved the rest into the top drawer of the night stand.

Grinning warmly, Lucas reached out a careful hand to pat the Charmander's head, moving slowly in an effort to avoid startling the little fire type. Merry, having taken her usual station behind her human's shoulder, stared wide-eyed at the scene, holding her breath in anticipation that some kind of disaster would occur.

Instead of moving away the Chramander tilted her head up to sniff the hand that reached down, bumping her nose into the hand. "Char?" she looked mildly confused and then walked closer and grabs at lucuse's pants, inspecting it for treats. the charmander's tail stays far away from the rocket.
"He doesn't have any more treats for you Nika." Panther shrugged at his pokemon's antics as he quickly unwrapped the candy and popped it into his mouth.

Were Lucas of a more feminine mentality, he would have marveled at how freakin' adorable the Charmander was. As a manly man who had sacrificed his abilities to detect cute for a deep and passionate love of bacon, however, he grinned and watched Nika's curious inspection.
"Y'see, Merry? She's not scary at all, is she?" The Chimecho peered out a little further from behind her human's shoulder, jingling quietly as she did so.

The charmander looks up and spotted a pokemon she had never seen before, with a long tail. Her face brightened at the pokemon, "Char!" Grabbing Lucas's knee, she hauled herself up into his lap to get a better look at the long ribbon and the tiny face.

"Wha- Hey there." Suddenly there was a Charmander in Lucas's lap, staring intently at his shoulder. Well, at the Chimecho just beyond his shoulder, but the little wind chime had retreated so far that she might as well have no been there. Merry peered over the very edge of her human's sweater cautiously, unblinkingly. There didn't seem to be any immediate danger, but one could never be too careful...

"char?" nika was confused. the ribbon had hidden its self in the moment she had took to climbed up, where did it go. a little face poke around Lucas's shoulder and she smiled. Char!" she walked up Lucas's leg and tried to peak around Lucas's shoulder.
From the bed Panther laughed. "I warned you, world's friendliest charmander. Watch out for her feet, her claws might stick you. If you get uncomfortable just pick her up and set her on the ground. She doesn't mind getting picked up."

"Ah she's fine, she's fine," Lucas assured, slightly amused by the fact that he was being used for a miniature game of hide-and-seek. Merry darted to her human's opposite shoulder, waving her tail teasingly near the Charmander's face. Lucas grinned approvingly. It seemed the Chimecho's innately friendly spirit had finally gotten the better of her.

The face disappeared, but she got something much better, a long tail ribbon! Nika crouched and then jumped up Lucas's shoulder reaching for the tail to grab it. She landed about belly on shoulder and wiggled tail and feet swaying in the air. She would get it she thought as her hand clasp together around it.
Panther just nodded and rolled his eyes at Nika's antis. He had gotten used to them buy now, but it was still slightly embarrassing. If it weren't for the purpose of socializing the chimeo he wouldn't have let the charmander go so far as to climb on another grunt. "As long as you don't mind." Lucas looked more amused then annoyed anyway.

Lucas expelled a quiet "oof" as he suddenly gained a squirming Charmander on his shoulder. He inclined his head away from the kicking feet, watching as Merry came around in front of him, her tail remaining behind his back.
"Okay, Mer, Lucas isn't a playground," he entreated with a laugh. The Chimecho pouted momentarily, then frowned with a sudden distress and embarrassment. She quickly unraveled herself from her human and jingled apologetically, ribbon-tail fluttering to entice Nika down as well.

Nika, not even noticing Lucas's predicament, fallowed the ribbon tail down. "Char!" she did think of humans as a playground, and in the moment of inattention on the chimeco's part, snagged the tail. She had caught it! She opened her hands, looking in. "Char?"

Merry flicked the end of her tail back and forth in the Charmander's grasp. Lucas grinned as he watched the two before a sudden burst of memory bolted him upright. "Hey, do you have the time?" he asked, checking his wrist. He wasn't wearing a watch, nor had he ever worn a watch before. "I just remembered I have this... thingy." What was it again? He decided he could figure it out on his way there.

"Yeah the clock says about 9:30." he glanced at his alarm clock, which he had more for the convenient time then an actual alarm. He got up stretching. "Nika come here." he didn't think Lucas really had a thingy as he put it, but it was a little late the time normal people went to bed or at least started too.
Nika looked sad at loosing her play time with the other pokemon. she let go of the tail and waved her hand before walking over and curling up on the charmander bed.
