The archsage looked back at Lance. "What... did you call me?" She sighed as she listened to him explain his odd plan. "Do you think you can fight that thing with a coin?" She asked in disbelief. "Oh... if you think it will help, I'll do it."
With chaos still happening all around them, She hurriedly touched Sophos to the coin and muttered a light magic incantation under her breath. The staff shined brightly and the coin responded with a brief flash of it's own. "There... That should do it." She looked at Victoria. "I guess... Your turn, then." She glanced back at the strange man.
"What did you say your name was?"

Oh, ******** been fine when the tendrils were chasing him, but maaaan, it is just not fair when they ******** head you off and grab your wings like that! He screeched in pain as they wound into his skin, twisting as they twisted and wove and wrapped around him, this time much tighter, much stronger. He twisted, squirming and thrashing in the air, then strained, flapping, fighting desperately, and struck the platform with a sickening crash.
The tentacles from the gate were wound tightly around his entire body, and were slowly, inexorably dragging the massive bird toward the black hole.
Unfortunately for the ex-advisor, he was trapped directly in between the massive bird and the black gate of death. Tibarn picked up speed, still twisting and trying to escape as he was dragged closer and closer.

Sue noticed the man whom she did not recognize introduce himself as Rahkain. He seemed nice enough, with his tone of voice being relatively cheerful and his words being a comfort to anyone who was in their situation. ”I’m… Sue. The man we rescued is my father, Rahkain. We must take good care of him.” The nomad said, nodding in the Ranger’s direction. One thing about the battlefields was that new allies always tended to show up. The more hands to help her in her most important mission, the better.
”Sue! It’s Nino…! She came back!” Abel’s words came as both a shock and a pleasant surprise for the Nomad Trooper. Nino. The Archsage, the guild’s first Captain, and someone whom was very special to her father had at last returned to Eyris! What was she doing though… facing Rogvold? At least she was there to help the guild in their time of need. A smile went across Sue’s face. At long last, she had arrived. ”Father, did you hear that? Nino has… come back, from where she was. Now we’re sure to win!”
And just as Sue was about to rejoice, the tentacles came flying, some of them even going past Abel, as the Hero demanded to know what the heck they were. With a swift swing of her iron sword, she cut one down before it even had the chance to strike her, or her father. It seemed like the traitor of an adviser was not going to go down with a fight. So be it, though… neither would she.
What was it that Lance just called her?! Victoria would be bonking Lance over the head with her staff about for his blatant lack of respect for a holy magic user, had he not had a good idea. The coins, although she hadn’t heard of them, were likely storage devices for magical power. ”Just cast a spell in them, right?” The Elimine follower nodded, this time drawing out Luce and putting that spell inside the coin. That should be effective against the Dark user, alongside hers and Nino’s own attacks.
”By the way, sir, my name is Sister Victoria. Don’t you forget it.” The prideful holy woman said, at last correcting Lance’s disrespect. Sure, he didn’t know her name, but he could have at least said “bishop” or even “blondie” would have done just fine. Either way, no time to lament about that. Chanting up a spell, Victoria was prepared to support Lance and Nino, and all the while, she had her staff ready to heal if it was necessary.

It seemed like the passage was clear once more and Rath was in the safe zone. However that soon ended when Nino showed up and the advisor started to go crazy! Ephraim didn't know the details but it seemed like now the fight was against Rogvald and not each other. This man was seriously mad! It was like fighting a Kraken only it was an old man who seriously needed to take a chill pill and go down. These weird tentacles were apparantly not to be underestimated too. One came toward him, if it wasn't for Ciela suddenly attacking it, he probably would have gotten hurt real bad. His spear came down at it, sticking the weird creature arm into the ground before ripping it apart. "Keep your guard up! It doesn't look like this will go down easily"((I have no idea, I just wanted him in there, I ran out of things to write for Ephraim its a bunch of.....eyeck )) The fighting stopped for now, but it only picked up once more when that old man started to go nuts. Elly knelt where she was on the tree, the emotion 'confuse' written over her face. She didn't move, not until everyone started to scream and scatter this time not by her. What are you doing? MOVE! Dammit! That executioner had run off like a coward that he truly was too, leaving her and Tristai alone. Her eyes darted left and right before leaping down from the tree but it seems just as she did something grabbed her, causing the sniper to drop her bow as she jerked forward from the tug. This.....ew...ew.. ew EW tentacle wrapped around her and lifted her up in the air. She screamed, shrieked, kicked and struggled, everything she could think of just to get free from this slimy creature! WHATEVER, ELLY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS BUT SHE'S FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW "TRISTAI!!!" this feeling was not exactly pleasent and without her bow or any way to return attack, the sniper was rendered useless. God mother freaken of- AGH!!! When this job is done, Tristai will definlently have a bone to pick with Joshua! TWICE THE AMOUNT SHE ASKED FOR ALREADY THUS MAKING THIS PAYMENT FOR THIS JOB 80K. Her contract said nothing of tentacles and possibly a rape fest! (almost) That coward excuse for a man quickly darted out of the area, leaving her with Elly. Her sword was already out and when something came at her, she immedietly sliced it out of her way, watching it squirm and wiggle before laying still beneath her. She could keep this up, sure ok, not a problem..until Tristai heard a fairly loud shriek. Her attention turned to the sniper that was suddenly caught up in this crazy mess and it was-HEY! UNHAND THE GIRL. Tristai leaped toward the lower end of the tentacle and gave a nice clean cut before it released Elly. She turned, held her arms out then allowed Elhaym to fall into her arms and not the dirt. Hey, least she was unharmed. ((Mrrrr, I hate playing catch-up :I, if I missed something lemme know or I"ll just go question interrogation on some of you people XD ))

Rahkain smiled at the lady as she introduced herself and gave him some insight into the man they were protecting. "Gotcha... It looks like we'll get out of this okay--"
But just as he was finishing his statement, giant, black tentacles started toward them. Already having had his sword out, he sprung into action, slicing and slicing... only to watch them be replaced with more and more of these things. "Nasty!!" He yelled. "Sue, get back!"
As he kept slicing, he was forced backwards. These things were insidious. "This is Sagballs fault!" He accused. "D-don't worry!" He said. "I'll... uh... Do something! Yeah!"
Something... right... It was more than he could do just to fend these things off. I can't fail...

None of the tendrils reached Lord Zeon. He was accompanied by his own bodyguards as well as many worthy fighters of the guild. He stood where he was and let them handle the advisor. Only when one of his guards was picked up by a tendril and carried into the black hole, did Lord Zeon see the spell as becoming too dangerous. There was little he could really do. His barrier magic would not be of help and never had he considered performing light magic. His companion Lord Eyris was always the one who used that art... The efforts of others were dealing with the ribbons. A powerful holy spell jolted down and staved off the darkness, but it would be unwise to think it would do more than prolong anything. Rogvald had declared his power to be from the dark god. Lord Zeon found it absurd that Loki was still active, and yet he could not deny the sensation of the aura whirling around. More aid was necessary in order to preoccupy all the tendrils. Lord Zeon passed his cane to the guard on his left. "Tome!" The guard on his right then opened a red book and the noble ripped a page from it. He began to speak in a tongue only those with magical knowledge could possibly comprehend, then let the paper fly into the air. "Eternal spirits, bolster the flames that they may endlessly consume my enemy. Arcfire!" As the paper began to dissolve in the air, Lord Zeon brought a hand near his mouth and touched the tips of his thumb and middle finger together to make a hole. He then blew which resulted in an enormous blast of fire that smothered the tendrils that wished to do harm to Nino and the two close to her. The spell would hold off Rogvald's attack on them while they readied their own attack.

"There." She said to the man that still had not identified himself. "Your coin is ready, now what do we do?" Tendrils were headed their direction. She turned to cast another spell but once again another spell preceded her own.
The same man that had erected the barrier that saved her life and helped the prince earlier was helping her again! Fire blasted in front of them, dissolving the tentacles as they continued to try to come closer.
Once this is over, I'll have to make sure to find and thank him...
"Come on, it's now or never, let's go!" She turned and watched as her old friend Tibarn struggled with the painful dark magic. "Aah... Hurry... Do whatever that coin does and be quick about it!!"

Ignoring the shrill voices of the women for the moment, Lance turned around again to face the evil dude with reclining hairline. Closing his eyes, he placed the coin between his thumbs, and started focusing magic. It was true that the coin got super charged, but unless he could sync it properly it would be little less than a shiny accessory. So instead of listening to any complaints, he put his entire mind to working out a combination for the spells.
Lance was thankful Lolimage just charged his coin with regular Light magic and no particular spell. With the Luce that Cowtits added, it would've been extremely control, but with a base of just Light, it would be easier attaching the Luce as it would feel more at...home, Lance supposed. In a moment that felt like an eternity, Lance finally oppened his eyes. His hands, and the coins, began to sparkle and shine, as he knelt down to the ground. Placing the coin on the ground, he lifted his open hand upwards. He coin grew in height, shaping like a pole, following the moment of his hand. Finally, he pressed his index and middle finger together, and with a circular motion with his hand, put the finishing touch on the tip of the pole. With the coin just slightly shorter than him, he picked it off the ground. The entire pole was shining brightly with a soothing light. At the end of it, there was a crescent shaped tip, which didn't seem to actually have a solid base, but was more of a collection of solidified Light essence, floating just at the end of the stick.
Lance was proud of his creation. A polearm? Spear? Not quite. It was more of a staff, with a very special, and mysterious blade hovering at the tip. He wasn't sure how long the effect would last, but the Light base in the pole and the Luce in the blade at the end, Lance was sure it would certainly make the geezer bite the dust. Well, hopefully. At least he had figured out a way to manipulate it. "Staff Coin, with added magical necessities...ayup, this'll work. Might even work better than I thought. You two should only focus on support and saving the others. As long as I can count on you doing the protecting, I can do the attacking."
Lance twirled his err, new weapon in a windmill motion at both sides of his body before placing it behind his back in a battle ready stance. "...I am Lance Dartel. I suppose you could call me a...Trickster." He took aim, before charging at Rogvald again, roaring a battle cry once again. And I'm not about to stay inconspicious forever!

Oujay was no one man army there fore handling all these soldiers was something he could not do. Luckily another man was there to back him up. Abel was there to help both of them against the soldiers and the help was appreciated. Oujay nodded as Abel told them he had their backs. The blue haired hero clashed with another soldier that charged at him. Hopefully this fighting between them would end soon.
His words quickly came true as the fighting between them seized. He quickly heard Abel yell surprising news to Sue. Oujay lowered his weapon and shield and felt relieved by the whole situation. Nino is actually alive and that means Rath is innocent and his charges should be removed. All well that ends well right?
It seems not as Rogvald wasn't going to leave without a fight. Dark tentacles suddenly charged at them and attacked even the soldiers and civilians. Oujay's eyes widened as they took out civilians in front of their eyes. The swordsman jumped back a little as the soldier in front of him was quickly attacked by tentacles. He raised his weapon as the tentacle was most likely going for him next.
Abel's words quickly described what many of them were thinking. What the hell was it that was attacking them? The tentacle charged right at Oujay, but he dodged it and slashed it with his sword. "That's right Sue," he agreed with Sue's words, "These things aren't going to stop us," he said to them reassuringly he noticed more tentacles coming out of the one he slashed. The sight of that still didn't bring down his morale. He firmly believed they would get out of this mess.

Tibarn twisted and thrashed, screeching in pain as the tendrils burned away at his flesh with their magical venom. And what were-- ******** messing with-- ******** he couldn't even see! He thrashed and opened his beak, snapping it around a few ribbons and tearing them in half to free his head.
Lance is not the one he expected to see taking on Rogvald with a glaive apparently made of magic, but he was suitably impressed! Until he remembered he was being magic-burned, and then he resumed thrashing, flapping his wings and flexing his talons. "Hnngh, damnit! Lance! Gimme a hand here!" he roared, glaring at--
Under the fuzz of agony, a nasty plan began to form. He just hoped Lance would spot it, too.

Lend me your ear!
...Heed my words. ℜogvald xxxxxRogvald did not see Tibarn. He watched as the strips latched onto victims and pulled them into the black hole. He found the utmost pleasure in watching citizens, soldiers and Watch members meet their demise. The hole itself grew with each being that it consumed, literally feeding upon their very souls.
xxxxxHis attention was drawn towards where Nino was once more, as the thief was yet again rushing in. How he got passed the strips Rogvald did not understand until, he saw Lord Zeon finishing his spell. Even that damned noble insisted upon meddling even after staying neutral the entire time! It didn't matter, there were more tendrils to replace that ones that had been burned. As the thief continued to run, they shot out, only to be subdued by the holy spell from the bishop and the shredding wind spell from Nino herself. That thief was being allowed to get much too close!
xxxxxHowever, once again, Rogvald's attention was drawn away, when he heard the shrieking of the hawk king. The only reason he turned his head to look behind him was because the shriek came from behind him. His strips had caused the hawk king to crash in back of him and was drawing him in! Rogvald was in the way! But before he could move, he felt a sudden pain in his chest. Rogvald looked back in front again to see the thief had made it passed all the defenses. Nino and that bishop were to blame!! Even with Rogvald's unearthly resistance, the purging effects of the magically enhanced weapon burned him on the inside. Rogvald unleashed a high pitched echoing scream of horrendous pain as the tendrils pushed against the thief, forcing his weapon out and flinging him back.
xxxxx"EEYYAAHHHHHHHUUHHH!! GET AWAY FROM MEEE!!" But alas, he had forgotten that Tibarn was being pulled in behind him and with no time to react, the hawk king crashed into him, pushing him into his own black hole. Rogvald clung to the edge, but was forced to release the tome, which fell into the void. "NO!" In effect, the spell began to end, and the tendrils went wild, releasing anybody it had grabbed and began to aimlessly dance in the air as the black hole slowly started to close. "...YOU THINK YOU'VE WON?! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT FOOLS!!" With his death inevitable, Rogvald no longer had any reason to keep any secrets. There wasn't any hope for survival, so he would rest assured in the fact that everybody would still die, and because of that, he began to madly cackle. "This is far from over!! Do you really think you defeated Loki a year ago?! Do not mock his power!! As we speak, Mordache and Sentria are marching to this very city to finish you all off for good!! Do you think, in the state you're in, that you can defeat them?! HAHAHAHAHA!! YOU ARE ALL GOING TO DIE! HAHAHAHA!!!" The black hole continued to close and Rogvald hung on by but the tips of his fingers. "PRAISE BE TO THE BARONESS... AND THE DARK GOD, LOKI....!!!"
xxxxxHis words echoed as the black hole shut completely and the strips dissolved until nothing was left. The stinging wind ceased and the dark aura lifted. It was as if Rogvald had never been there, but his work was clear proof that he was. Nevertheless, he was gone, and things in Eyris could return as they were. However, his warning would linger in the ears of all who hard it. Mordache and Sentria were on their way.
I advise you to listen. Not doing so could prove... deadly.

In the end, Roy had retreated. The wolf was injured after biting a couple of the ribbons, and going alone was pretty much suicide. He stayed near the wolf, covering him as best he could as they made their way over towards where the mages (and later Lance) were. Course, in the end they defeated Rogvald, but Roggy did get to say a few last words before he was consumed by his own magic.
"Nice to hear him confirm he actually had ties to Mordache... least my theories back at the coronation proved to be somewhat true." he muttered.
Of course, he hadn't forgotten about the way. He found it odd that Mordache and Sentria had stayed quiet while they settled things here, but if it was Rogvald's doing, then it made sense. Which meant they didn't have much time now. He reclaimed the sword sheath he had dropped earlier before he turned to look over at Nino, then over towards the King.
"Threat within the city wall's gone now, but we still have the bigger threat lurking just within our borders. Your orders besides getting everyone healed up, Captain Nino, King James?" he asked, sheathing the iron sword before he slipped the weapon back at his waist.

The archsage stood, eyes wide, Sophos held out. Her Excalibur spell had faded. Her job was done...
But Loki? Her fears had been confirmed. When he said he was helped by the Dark God... No. She had been there the day he died! That evil man was gone, but Eyris was not safe. She couldn't rejoice... not yet. She lowered the staff. "No..." She said under her breath. "Mordache and Sentria?! What happened while I was gone? Why would they...?"
She turned to Roy. "They're coming? It's a GOOD thing that he has ties to Mordache? I don't think it's a good thing. I don't think any of this is good. Someone must explain but... Ah this is all too much. Where is Isadora? Someone go help Tibarn! Healers, we need healers!" She let out an irritated sounding sigh and ran toward the hawk king. "Let me see if I can help..."

You know I can't slow down...

*******************
Although he looked cool for a moment, Lance's fight with Rogvald had quite an anti-climactic ending. Despite the hawk king's yell to him, Lance had little time to react before Roggie's spell went haywire and sucked him in.
...why was it that whenever zano bad guys like him always threw a 'I'll tell you of our plan because you're doomed anyway' tantrum whenever death was imminent? Was it part of the Nemesis Codex or something?
Either way, Lance slammed his fist into the ground. His coin had gone back to normal, he ended up dealing absolutely no damage to the old geezer despite his attempts, so he had pretty much been USELESS that entire fight. Sure, he had provided a distraction, but any pointless person could be target practice. In the end, it was still the twisted magic that was the end of the t**t. It's not like Lance didn't plan on using the magic against him, but Lance wanted to be the ONE to deal the finishing blow, not get a bloody friendly fire scenario.
Now he'd go back to being the transparant, unimportant sod he was. Colorless. It'd be near impossible to find people for Lance's own mission at a later stage. Lance sighed heavily before plonking down on his behind, and taking out a small cinnamon stick from one of his pockets, placing it on his lips like one would with a cigarette, and chewed half-heartedly on the bark. The cinnamon helped focusing and concentration, and taking in what they just had heard and witnessed would require a bit of thinking. "Mordache and Sentria...yippie-kay-yay. Take care of one nuisance and in comes another...this is getting tiresome. What's the deal with the dark god, anyway, why is he picking on us, it's not like there's anything special about us."
Lance laid down on his back, just gazing up into the sky.No revenge, and no glory, either...well, at least I'm still alive.

Rahkain breathed a sigh of relief as the tendrils faded away. "Man... I think it's over. Sue!" He turned to the nomad on the horse. "I think it's over! Should we go back or keep moving?"
He looked over the other men who were mostly responsible for keeping the two nomads safe. "Come on... Let's go back." He took a red cloth from his coat and wiped his sword "clean", then sheathed it.
