Nalira laughed again, rubbing Aido's back gently, pressing into the cold skin with her fingers. It was a friendly gesture; afterall, her back must be awfuly stiff after from all their rough housing. Did she just say rough housing?

"I can't believe it. I just thought rough housing. My mum use to say that when she was little." Nalira spat, screwing her nose up in disapproval. "Save me, Aido, before I'm too far gone." She laughed, still rubbing her back.

Aido made a small noise of contentment when Nalira started to rub her back (having never actually had a backrub before) the, as always, tense and knotted muscles relaxing slightly under her friend's cool fingers.

She laughed warmly, "ano... hrm... how to save you..." she plucked at two shadows from the folds of her clothing and broke them away, then laced them together to form a circlit and shifted to put the circlit gently on her friends head.

"Evil phrases begone!" the circlit dissapating into the wind, its cool weight falling away, off to join some other shadow.

Job done Aido reposistioned herself under Nalira's fingers, nudging them to wordlessly ask for more backrubbing.

Nalira smiled, rubbing and pressing into Aido's back skillfully. This was definately a good way to apologize.

"You better appreciate this. I don't give backrubs to just anyone, you know." Nalira said with a laugh, rubbing her chin in thought, continuing to give Aido a backrub with her free hand.

"I'm certainly going to have a lot to talk about when I see Linny next." Nalira taunted, giving her friend a gentle nudge, flashing her an evil grin.

"I am honored... honestly," Aido replied with a content smile then blinked. She didn't even have to look, she could feel Nalira's satanic grin.

Looking over her shoulder she poked Nalira's leg, "you said that my secret was safe with you."

Nalira let out an exasperated groan. "Damn. There goes all my fun out the window." She mumbled, a hint of disappointent in her voice. "Can't I even drop a hint? You know, a bit of hint hint, nudge nudge?" She pleaded, pouting once more.

Aido blushed at the very idea of that happening and shoved her head in Rael's shadow, letting out a enthusiactic, if muffled, "no!"

Nalira let out a 'pfft' and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You're so not getting a backrub now." She hissed, shaking her head and letting out a snort of disapproval.

Aido sighed, mourning the loss of the nice backrub, "if it means keeping a hold of the tattered remains of my poor self-esteem I'll forsake the backrub."

Nalira gasped and fake-sobbed into her hands.

"Oh woe is me, my backrubs aren't good enough for Aido. What will become of me?" She mock-whined in a high-pitched voice, prodding her friend in the side. "You've ruined me."

Aido stuck out her tounge, then nearly bit the poor muscle as Nalira accidently prodded the sensitive area of her side.

Recovering quickly she shook her head, "I never said they weren't good enough for me, I just value the remains of my dignity more. It might very well last longer. And I'm glad, if I've ruined you maybe you'll be more inclined to let me buy you something to eat and less inclined to hinting at secrets. Speaking of which, we're at the cafe."

Nalira grinned, prodding her friend in the side again, biting back a laugh at her reaction.

"Now I know here to tickle you. Oh, the things I could do. You shouldn't let your guard down -- Oh, good, the cafe." She replied idly, slipping from Rael and gently stroking her fingers through the shadow in an attempt to show her gratitude. He didn't have to take her and Aido to the cafe, but he did.

"Thank you Rael." She mumbled politely, smiling and giving him one more gently pat before moving away.

Aido grimaced sharply at the second prodding. It wasn't that she was ticklish, not there at least, but moreso that the wound on that side had been one of her more problematic ones. The thing was still prone to getting tugged open from her near constant movement, despite Linny's attempt to fix it, many months ago. She and Rael had a betting pool as to how long it would take for the silly thing to finally heal properly.

Aido's money was on somewhere near six months, Rael said eight.

Biting on her lip to keep from saying anything, after they really didn't need any extra angst right now, Aido merely smiled to Rael and moved away to get the door.

Rael bobbed his head, -you're welcome. I'll be near if either of you need me.- Moving forward the shadow slipped back into Aido's trailing shadow as she pushed the door open and held it for Nalira.

Nalira blinked, rubbing the top of her hand tenderly. She wrinkled her nose, moving through the open door, muttering a 'thanks' to Aido, hunching her shoulders slightly.

"Um, Aido? Did I .. uh .. hurt you?" Nalira asked hesitantly, stumbling over her words. She chewed on her lower lip, looking over to her friend tentatively, wringing her hands together once more.

Aido blinked, surprised that Nalira had noticed, she laughed and waved hand, "no, not really-" not much "-my side's just a bit tender. The only place I'm really ticklish is the bottom of my feet."

She threw an arm companionably around Nalira's shoulders and, sighting a free table for two, steered them in that direction.

Nalira let out a sigh of relief, though she was still frowning, not quite convinced. She let herself be lead through the cafe, reaching her hand out cautiously until her fingers met the cold metal of the cafe chair. She dragged the chair our, cringing at the sound of the metal legs scraping across the tiles, sitting quickly to stop the sounf, shifting into a comfortable posistion.
