Staying where he was, Blade just listened in on the conversation. His brow furrowed down as Isis was trying to get some information out of the stranger, using that deadly tone of hers. From the sounds of things, it seemed like there was a hit planned. Well if anything, this explained a few things about his suspicions revolving the girl. It would also explain to some extent, why he was remind of that one guy.

"Why do you care?" the guy said, edging back a little. Isis sighed "It doesn't matter why I care." she said patiently, although she was getting rather agitated. The man looked around nervously at the sound of footsteps, one of the guards was drawing near. Isis grabbed his shirt, jerking him towards her "I said I want the name." she hissed quietly. "B-blade. The guys name was Blade, he stole something from the wrong person I guess." the guy stammered out and glanced towards the light that was moving towards them. "Touch him and I'll kill you. she countered and he scowled at her. "What do I tell me employer." "Tell him he left town." Isis let go of the mans shirt and moved back into a corner out of reach of the guards torch lights. She wasn't having someone kill her source of information.

At first it seemed like things were getting nowhere with the questions going back and forth. For a moment, he was distracted as he caught sight of torchfire in the distance causing him to duck down behind a nearby crate. He was still within earshot at least, and it was then that he heard his name.
Wait.. I'm the target? he thought with a frown. While being pursued wasn't a new thing for him, he couldn't say he's ever been the target of a hit before. Quite frankly, he wasn't sure how he should feel about that, but apparently he had made quite an enemy out of someone.
What was more of a surprise to him than the target was the fact that Isis was actually defending him basically. Considering they hardly knew one another had he had offended her at least once or twice, he would have thought she'd consider leaving him to his own devices. Several questions swirled around his head on the matter.

Isis watched him move off, in the opposite direction of where Blade was staying at least. He must have been new at this, to have been "scared off" by someone else. Then again, he may have just been waiting, but she doubted a death threat was worth what he would have been getting paid. Once the guards were gone Isis shook her head and sighed, standing up from where she had hidden herself she began to walk slowly down the street. She hated doing stuff like that. Threatening people wasn't her style and she never made it a habit to use what she knew outside doing her job. But her parents.... She frowned and kept walking.

Seeing how this meeting had ended for the most part, Blade waited a little longer before standing up and spotting the girl not too far off. Moving briskly, though silently, he went and caught up until he was walking beside her.
"I gotta say. Being the target of a hit wasn't something I expected. How long did you know of it?" he asked. The little exchange that just happen was a little bewildering to him, so if possible he was going to try and find out more of what was going on there exactly.

Isis frowned as she heard footsteps behind her and suddenly Blade was walking next to her. "I didn't." she responded to his question and sighed. "I figured it out when the guy took the same route to where your staying that I did when I was tailing you." she told him quietly "He confirmed my suspicions when he said your name, you need to better watch who you steal from." she continued walking, mulling over what she had said and what he may have heard, trying to figure out if he knew what she was or not.

Taking this in, Blade placed his hands into his pockets and continued on next to her. The thought amused him, and over all he wasn't too worried. He might not be a soldier or anything like that, but he was able to hold his own in a fight if it came down to it.
"It just makes life a little more interesting in a way," he shrugged, "By the way.. you definitely don't look the part of a killer. But it does explain a few things..."

Isis sighed, of course he knew. Well, she had just save his life, so hopefully that was incentive enough to keep his trap shut about it. "I'm not supposed to look the part of a killer." was all she said before stopping abruptly and turning to him. "Listen to me, you can't tell anyone anything about me, nothing. My life depends on my discretion." she told him quietly. And being unknown, all that fun stuff, it was a part of her life. He knew, and she wanted to make sure it stayed to himself.

When she stopped abruptly, he paused and stared at her. So she had to keep things under wraps, which made sense he supposed.
"You won't have to worry about me blabbing," he stated truthfully. Though if she didn't believe him, that was her problem. Blade just had no reason as to why he would want to start spewing things out, especially since she had just helped him out here moments ago.
"Wouldn't really make sense to jeopardize your life when you may have saved my own."

Isis nodded. That's what she had figured, but making assumptions with something like that was out of the question. "Either way, it's better if you leave town." she said slowly, thinking of having to go and get her own stuff. Onxon floated in and out wherever she was but she wouldn't leave Bala in the hotel, even though she was sure the wolfos was smart enough to find her. It was rude. "If you don't mind, I'd like to accompany you for a bit, there are some questions I want to ask." she paused then added as an afterthought "Plus it's been a while since I had some Hylian company." she smiled and waited for his answer as they walked along.

Nodding, Blade looked down the road ahead. He had been planning on leaving the town once he had finished his business here. Since that was all said and done it was time to be 'jumping ship' more or less. Vol, no doubt, was probably resting in or near the stables by the inn, so he was going to have to at least poke him to get moving.
Before he could go ahead and do that, Isis asked if she could accompany him. Pausing as she asked this, he thought on it some. It wasn't often that he had a traveling companion aside from the Maonui. Normally he was just out on his own. Well, he supposed it couldn't hurt as long as she didn't try to kill him in his sleep or anything along those lines. It was a little doubtful, seeing how she did want information out of him it seemed. He had a slight feeling on what those questions might be too.
"Oh, sure I guess. A little company on the road couldn't hurt much," he agreed with a faint smile.

It had been 2 weeks since the thief and the mercenary had left the town where they had met. Aside from the occasional monster, it was a rather uneventful stretch of time. Neither seemed to know where to go, or really care as they were both wanderers anyways and would go wherever the fancy took them. No threats had been made to the thief's life, and the mercenary was content to just travel for now, enjoying the rare treat of having company. The questions would come later, off the beaten trail and in the middle of setting up for the night it would seem...
Isis had laid out her bedroll already and was wandering around their small campsite gathering sticks and such for a fire. It was her night to make supper and Bala had already caught a few good sized rabbits and they sat cleaned waiting to be cooked. It was nice having fresh meat, it sure beat trail rations any day, and it put Isis in a particularly good mood. She hummed an old tune as she collected sticks and made the fire, one her mother used to sing to her and her brother when they were young. It was a soft melody, their childhood lullaby. Spearing the rabbits on a stick she set it on her makeshift spit and turned it once for good measure. As she waited she fingered the blue pendant around her neck, the only piece of jewelry she wore, and thought of her twin and where he might be.

The company was nice enough he supposed. She didn't pry much, at least not yet. During the two weeks, he didn't reveal much of himself and just went by contently and going with the flow travel.
Seeing how it wasn't his turn to make dinner, Blade had just set up his side of the camp before sitting against a tree and gazing up at the starry sky. He was just relaxing and reflecting on various things for the most part and wasn't paying much attention to anything else around him for now. The soft tune that Isis hummed was one he could hear, and it provided a nice melody to the background, but he wasn't listening too carefully.
Vol was nearby, returning with a mossy stone about the size of a hylian's head. Aside from the campfire, his own bodily flames helped provide light to the area as he curled up and began to chew on the rock. Blade still couldn't tell if the maonui did this like a dog would chew on a stick or if he actually got some sort of nourishment from stones. Whenever he asked, the question was either ignored or he received a rather vague reply.

Isis turned her head and looked at the flaming maonui as he began munching on a rock, she had asked him why but he never answered her and Isis just pegged it off as something the esper didn't want to talk about. She turned the spit a bit more and looked up at Blade sitting against a tree. "Do you have any siblings Blade?" she asked him, quietly enough so that he could pretend he didn't hear her if he didn't want to answer, but loud enough for him to hear if he did. She didn't like talking about her own past, or family, and though he may have his suspicions she was pretty sure that the thought she was just a friend or associate of the murdered family she would ask about. She figured she would give him the option not to answer without downright refusing.

As he stared upwards, Blade picked out a few of the constellations he knew of, as well as trying to find new ones he might be able to put together. His mind snapped out of his current line of thought as he heard Isis addressing him, though he didn't show any signs of hearing her right off the bat. It was really just him trying to decide how much of himself he wanted to reveal.
"Nope," he said after a period of silence, deciding to go ahead with it. He didn't glance over at Isis at all as he said this so if he hadn't spoken up it would have seem that he hadn't heard her.
