Synthic climbed off Drake's back, "I hope he's not hurt..." She said.
Yami, who was still guarding the castle, spotted Drake and Synthic. He dove down towards them, planning on impaling them with his claws and teeth.

"Ah!!" Synthic cried when she was grabbed.
Yami landed when he knew he was going to miss. The savage dragon reached out to them with his pointy claws.

Yami roared loudly and flew into the sky again, flying over the temple. He silently informed Fog that there were intruders that he can't reach.

"Y-Yes..." Synthic said, scared shitless.

fog heard yami, and walked back to the main room of the temple, simply waiting for his moment. taking out his book, he would use it to cast barriers to trap them in the temple entryway.

Smiling, Fog walked slowly, through the circle in teh center of the room, to the barrier blocking them from the room that held Mat. reaching the barrier, Fog simply smiled at them. "Can i help you?" he asked, snidly.

Fog smiled, turning. "Oh, you mean HIM?" Fog said synically, gesturing towards the altar, aura from teh book shooting from his hand to hit torches all along the perimiter of the great room, lighting up the entire place for the first time in ages. the markings of the floor were amazingly extensive, patterns and designs, inlaid with magical symbols and runes, all reaching a desceptively simply circle in the middle, within which a star was laid, the markings outside laid much less extensively on the floor inside the circle. high above, now lit by the torches, a large crystal spike could be seen, hanging from here, with other crystals pointing off of this one, aimed at each point of the star, and just on one side of the star's center, the altar stood, with Mat pinned to it by a knife in his hand, simply slumped there, not moving, not blinking, barely breathing, mindlessly. he had a soulless look to his eyes, much as he had had back in the academy, and it was clear he had given up what little hope he had gained with synthic. raising his hand, he launched more of the books aura at Mat, causing him to get knocked around the altar, twisting the knife horrifyingly around within his hand, but he never whimpered, never even blinked. he just took it, as though he couldnt feel it anymore. the hit has left him bruised all across his chest, the hit itself tearing most of his shirt open in the front to reveal the damage, and a large bruise where Fog had kicked him earlier. "You want him, right?"Fog said, hoping to taunt Drake into revealing any powers he may have, so Fog would be able to figure out how to deal with it sooner, rather than later.

"MAT!!!" Synthic screamed, trying to get his attention or something. She hammered her fists at the barrier.
