The next house was a pretty one, very fancy, but with no decorations. A man with no costume but a set of devil horns answered the door and looked down at Faiya, before trying to hand her a shotgun with a warning about Zombies. Tish hastily intervened and took the gun, setting it on the ground before Faiya could touch it. "You did NOT just try to give a gun to my five-year-old," she said, growling lowly as she scooped Faiya up and carried away from the people, muttering under her breath about crazy gun-toting racists.

Nothing made sense at the next house. The decorations seemed randomly thrown together, and the man who answered the door was dressed in a tarzan loincloth, with a pink wig on, a witch's hat on his head, and a fairy wand clutched in one hand - all in all a terrifying picture. But not as scary as being the second person to invite Faiya in for afternoon tea. Once again, mother and Daughter headed off in search of something a little more sane for the evening.

They had gone to another cemetery - how come there were so many around tonight? With a shriek of delight, Faiya ran up to the lone figure in the middle of it. "Mister Skelly man! You're here too? Do you have another trick or treat for me?" The blue-skinned toddler asked happily, and was rewarded with more packets of watermelon pop rocks. Tish decided to stock up on some aspirin on the way home. The sugar high was going to be never ending at this rate.

Amaranth contemplated skipping the next house. He really, really did. The creep factor was setting alarm bells off in his head, especially considering what he'd encountered earlier that evening. But, the woman sitting on the the porch of the house seemed friendly enough. The boy made his way to the porch slowly, eyeing his surroundings warily incase of any danger. One couldn't be too careful, no?

"Trick....or treat?" the child asked, his uncertain voice making the usually happy exclamation an uneasy question as he held his bag out.

"My, my, aren't you just precious?" the woman said, her speech slightly slurred by her false fangs she wore with her vampire costume. "Here, something to light your path with, sweetie! Have a happy Halloween!" She handed over a small jar of fireflies, offering a smile with them.

Amaranth looked at them a moment before bowing his head. "Thank you, ma'am." he said before heading off. He waited until her house was out of sight before letting the poor fireflies go.

they had come again to the neon-bright place where children played hide-and-seek with each other. This time, though, Faiya didn't feel like playing, and simply took the offered candy caramels and skipped back to her mother, taking her hand as they moved on to the next house.

[81. Fancy House, the occupant looks like a marble god but insists on being a vampire. Light casts, and you're pretty sure you see glitter...
53. Two 'Fun Size' Mars Bars!]

Discouraged, Michael drags his feet to the door of the next house.

The door opens before he can knock, which causes him to recoil violently and defensively, especially after all of what he's witnessed of this awful holiday so far.

"Vader!" croons the owner of the house, who looks like a mess of cultures, what with his vampire cape and his tanned skin contrasting one another. (Granted, he painted his face with very white makeup to compensate, but that's convincing nobody..) "What have I done to warrant a visit from you?"

Michael straightens up, no longer fearing the man, but actually feeling a bit sorry for him and his misplaced enthusiasm. Warbling his voice as best he can, he mimics the voice of Vader in responding. "Trick.. or treat!"

Chuckling to himself, the occupant of the house twists on the spot, digging a hand through the bowl of candy, and coming up with two Mini Mars Bars in his fist. He sprinkles them into Michael's pillow case, and they hit the moist bottom with a very unpleasant splat. The vampire man leans over the bag and raises an eyebrow.

"Looks like you're not having that great of a night," he points out sympathetically. "Drop by again if your night's not looking up, okay kid?"

Michael grumbles something and turns away, stomping down the steps. Stupid man and his stupid offer. He's not to be pitied! He's Vader, damnit!

((Sure, you can start~<3 And they can meet anywhere, though Tish has a ton of kids and thus is very likely to be found at the park or other areas where entertainment for little ones is cheap))

--There is no prize for a 21 roll, not even a trick! D: So I'll edit my response to this house in later once Enoh sees I suppose.--

(( Fixed. Invisible Dog has been moved to 21, and 42 is now a towel and a lemon.

Also, please limit how many times you post in here, while it is technically unlimited, over thirty in one day is a bit much. >> ))

((I demand I get to keep my puppy from a previous roll >.> ))

The next house was what Sev called a proper Halloween house. Tarot had to admit it wasn't overkill, but maybe a little more skeletons or something. A woman dressed as a witch answered the door. She was a lot nicer than the last bunch of witches Tarot ran into! This one just smiled and dumped a box of lollipops in her bag, wished her a happy Halloween, then closed the door. Less human interaction, always such a pleasure.

((*stares* Actually, I don't think anything changed. Gah, Yuki is so confuzzled in the brain.))

Tarot stared at the next house. This......was a bit much. The whole thing was a giant cookie! The frosting shingles and gumdrop trim were a nice touch, and the Skittles mosaic on the wall was quite impressive if a bit too colorful. The yappy creature in the box, which by now had been identified as an invisible puppy, somehow got out and had to be chased around by Sev.

While he did that, Tarot went up to the door. Despite her convincing argument that the owner should open the door, she just got a very rude, "GO AWAY!" each time. Tarot kicked a small hole in the door, and for her pains got two packages of Shock Rocks stuck to her shoe. Apparently the entire inside of the door was papered with them.

The next house Tarot would have avoided at all costs. There were decorations everywhere, the house looked full of people, and dancing music blared from inside. Sev insisted she go up though.

"Oh honey, what an absolutely senational costume!" The house owner, dressed in completely in black as a movie character of some kind, spotted Sev over her shoulder, struggling to keep the puppy in the box. "Severus, hellooo~!" She couldn't tell, but Tarot swore the man winked under the mask. She scowled.

The man turned his attention back to Tarot. "Such a frowny face! Tell you what, Sugar. Sing me a little song and I'll give you something special."

The man refused to let Tarot go until she did, so the grumpy toddler just patched together bits of songs from various movies she'd watched. Her reward? Well she didn't know what it was either. It came in a very pretty box though, and Sev added it to the load of heavier stuff he was carrying.

Thank goodness, a normal-looking house! Tarot was wondering just how much ground Sev was planning on having them cover as she rang the bell. The woman who answered was pleasant, calling her "cute" and winking. Tarot was wondering if the woman forgot it was Halloween and didn't dress up. It looked like she was wearing her undies and a bra, anyway.

The lady gave her a giant roll of tickets. "Here ya go, Sugar. You might just get lucky." She winked again, and closed the door. Tarot had to have Sev read the print on the tickets. It seemed the woman had given the 1000 raffle tickets for the Witch. Wasn't Tarot already a witch? How strange.

I couldn't detach the boy from his bow, so Yiska ish dressing up as Da Green Arrow! biggrin

23.PARTY HOUSE. Zombie movies playing loudly inside, Nerdy looking occupant in a cosplay costume you can't identify.
39. A jar of Fireflies

Yiska wandered the suburban streets looking for his first house of the night. He was the most confident in handling himself in the waking world on Halloween night of all nights, as it was a night when the fabric between his realm and the waking world were the thinnest. He could almost feel the nightmares wanting to burst from the darkness and the shifting strangeness of the night as he went up to the first house that intrigued him.

Faint glow. Strange noises. Odd costumes. Perfect.

Yiska knocked with confidence and from amidst the crowd of shadows inside the house, one broke off and answered the door. When the door opened, Yiska was faced with a very elaborate, yet strange human-monster thing wearing goggles, who gasped at the sight of Yiska.

"Oh, my, gosh! An original take on young Earth-D Green Arrow, and...hand-crafted too!" turning to the inside of the house the creature called "Guys, guys, you've gotta take a look at this!" and suddenly there were ten other strange costumes, each more elaborate than the next gawking at Yiska's costume.

"Trick or treat?" he said in his clearest voice.

"Aw, it's so cute!"
"Well, there are clearly some major flaws in the design, like the hat..."
"What should we do? Sheldon ate all the Resse's Peices."
"Hey, I'm just staying in character. What else is Zombie ET supposed to eat?"

There was a bit of commotion amongst the crowd, when suddenly the first man who had answered the door appeared with a faintly glowing jar.

"Here, take this. It was our prize for our Firefly quiz night, but I think for a costume like yours, it deserves something great."

Yiska stared at the jar of strangely glowing bugs and smiled. The creatures were so strange, but so beautiful and gave off a warm glow that reminded him of his home.

"Thank you," he whispered, as to not disrupt the bugs "They're beautiful. It's really perfect."

The nerds all smiled, but then quickly dashed off when they heard their favorite lines being quoted in their film and left Yiska to wandering again with his new friends in tow.

Wasn't this.....the same house? It was another house made of cookies and candies, with another grumpy person refusing to come out. The decorations looked a little different though, and the voice inside belonged to a guy, so it had to be a different house. Two cookies houses in the neighborhood. Weird.

Tarot, having learned her last lesson from the previous cookie house, merely stole some gumdrops that framed the window and called it a victory.

Vance ran up to a rather lively house as his first stop for trick or treating. He jumped up each step in his pirate costume, his empty pillow case gripped tightly in his hand.
The young boy knocked on the door loudly, since there seemed to be a party going on inside. The house wasn't decorated, which struck him as odd, but he tried it out regardless.

Soon, a young man answered the door... completely naked. A beer bottle he was holding barely covered the man's netherlands, and poor Vance got quite the eye full.

Vance kept his gaze up at the man's face, smiling nervously. "Treat please." He did not wants any tricks from this man.
The young man staggered and grabbed a bag of Doritos from a bowl and tossed it into Vance's pillow case, then staggered back into the house, scratching his butt before shutting the door.

Vance looked into his bag, twisting his mouth a bit then running away from the party house.

Okay, he had made the mistake of choosing a house with no decorations. That wouldn't happen again. Lesson learned.
This time, Vance chose a very Halloweeny looking house. It had a shrine of jack-o-lanterns all over. Kind of spooky, but that was the point.

Vance approched the house, where a blue haired girl was giving out candy. "Trick or Treat!" He said happily, holding out his pillow case. The girl excused herself to get more candy.
Vance waited...
He swore he heard footsteps... behind him. But the girl was inside...

She returned soon after, tossing a couple of tickets to a Strip Club. the girl smirked. "Happy Halloween."

Vance left, looking down at the tickets in his bag, a befuddled and worried expression on his face. Tickets weren't candy... and what was a Strip Club?
