*| Burakku Shita Hojo |*

G enin
G enjutsu
S ensor

l| Pausing outside his parent's home, Burakku nibbled on his thumb, staring up at the slightly impressive structure. It was an apartment complex of two stories with a half dozen rooms, surrounding gardens and everything had a feel of water to it. More then a few massive ponds spread across the grounds and most of them connected underwater. The whole thing was surrounded by a massive wooden fence. Standing there, Burakku almost wanted to cry. It sucked to be kicked out of your home...it was absolute misery to have your home so close and not be able to see any of it Except by sneaking in like a common freaking thief. his lips twisted angrily but Burakku swallowed it down and stepped up to the fence. He took a deep breath and pulled at the wood, cracking it open to reveal an opening. It wasn't very big but then again neither was he. He pushed and twisted himself into the opening, easily crushing himself through. Once inside the grounds, he made a silent run for the nearest pond, slipped into it with out a single ripple and swum down. He'd made almost 8 of these little trips now, snitching scrolls from his father's library when it was night and hiding them in the small pocket of dry space at the bottom. The scrolls were, as was necessary, water proof anyway. He had almost all of the ones about his family and history but the last one would be the hardest to steal. He swum through the ponds connecting tunnels and surfaced at the back entrance to the lower library Blurp. Its Siho... he eyed his little sister as she sat on the edge of the steps, her eyes alert as she read a scroll. He raised his head a little and spat a small stream of water at the girl. It caught her on the very top of her head and she squeaked, dropping the scroll. His wheezing laughter caught her attention and she rushed over "Burakku!" she scolded, kneeling by the water. He'd visited her a bunch over the last few years, sometimes while their mother had watched for their father. Now he was using her to get the scrolls he need "Hey, hey, Siho. Last time." he whispered and her face drooped but she gathered herself "Liar! Stay here." she turned and raced off while he ducked back under water. He floated there, not a bubble escaping, as she stole the scroll like so many times before. His father couldn't use it anyway...it was his mother who was a direct Hojo line. His father was normal. Stupid man. A plop from above signaled the arrival of the scroll and it floated down to him. He grabbed it and tucked it into his shirt before surfacing "Bad girl!" he whispered, rising out of the water to kiss Siho on the cheek and then splashed back down as she went back inside. He collected the rest of his scrolls and made his get away. |l

[1/1] Mi was going to finally dive into her clan Jutsu. It was something she had discovered about herself a few months before her brother had passed on. She had not bothered to try training in it because it brought painful memories to the surface. Seeing this as a necessity for the village that she become as skilled as she could be, Mi wanted to be serious about this. For the first time in her life. Her Shinobi were risking their lives all of the time. Why not she? Mi preferred to practice outside of the dojo, taking a walk around the village. Of course she was shadowed by ANBU, she could feel their stares on her as she moved about. Mi donned a simple disguise, so as not to go noticed by the citizens, lest they grow weary and suspicious of her sudden appearance. All she had to do was touch someone, or brush up against them. Then she could 'connect' or 'leech' as she liked to think about it. Miyamoto clan members were able to become great supporting characters to any team and she wanted to utilize that in par with her eiseijutsu. Seeing a mother walking around with her child in tow, Mi picked her as the target. It seemed the woman would remain around the market for some time. Mi walked past her, brushing her shoulder up against her as if she was clumsily making her way through the streets. "Sorry!" Mi said, turning to her to apologize, keeping her head ducked of course. The woman was kind and simply waved off her apology. Mi bowed once and headed further out. She paused to turn and look at the woman, now having made the connection it would be more prudent for her to keep her within her sights. Still it didn't go without saying that Mi had to at least practice getting the woman from a far range so she took a perch atop one of the lower laying roofs. Mi watched as the woman got further and further away. When the woman was starting to get out of her range Mi closed her eyes and seemed to drop into a meditative state where she was sitting, legs hanging over the edge of the building. She could still sense the woman, even as she passed the mile range that Mi had on her technique.

[ Spiritual Connection : Spiritual Extension : Rank E : Rank D // Learned ]

[1/1]
Mi jumped down from her perch and moved to catch up to the woman. She lost sight of her, startling Mi somewhat. At least she could try out the next skill on the list. Mi activated her chakra and her eyesight adjusted suddenly. Mi could see thin stretched out lines that trailed in a sort of weaving line. She followed the almost invisible line until she found the woman she had been searching for. Ah...That was it. Mi thought, realizing she had actually caught onto that trick a lot more easily than she would have expected. She could see the 'leech' thread as if it was plain as day to everyone, which it wasn't. She was sure she would be able to see if anyone else from her bloodline cast such lines out now, if she thought to look for them. It would be something interesting to try out one day.

[ Spiritual Sight : Rank E // Learned ]

[1/1]
As the mother began to follow after her child who had begun to wander away, grocery bags still in her arms, Mi noticed that she was beginning to look a little strained by the sudden weight of her toddler now in the hold of her arm and the large bag she was lugging around. No one was moving to assist her so Mi figured she would continue to use her as a means of training. It would only further benefit the woman if Mi helped her out from the sidelines. Mi patiently tried funneling some of her power into the woman from the distance she was observing from but it proved to be a little difficult. Now was the rush time and people were starting to come out to buy their groceries in bulk. Every now and then someone would bump into Mi which would jostle her out of her concentration. Sighing, she jumped up, settling herself on the edge of a roof top once again. Finding the woman, she took a deep breath and then started from scratch. First she had to channel some of her ability to her using the 'leech thread' she had connected to her. It wasn't as easy as it seemed. Basically you were channeling chakra though 'invisible threads'. It was a concept that Mi could not understand and it took her awhile to wrap her mind around it.By her third attempt Mi was starting to accept the unrealistic properties of this bloodline and she focused on making the woman a little more hardier, that way she would be able to handle the brunt of her load without having to constantly toss her child on her hip or set the bag down to rest. She was asking to get her purchases stolen like that. The woman stopped mid-step suddenly, placing the tips of her fingers on her bicep. Mi flinched. Had she taken notice so suddenly. Mi was sure the change couldn't have been too drastic. The woman seemed pensive for a moment but moved on, as if nothing had happened. Mi let out a short sigh of relief. It would be a waste of time to switch to another target.

[ Soul Release: Layer of Muscle : Rank D // Learned ]

[1/1] Mi had been ready to call it a day, standing up and rubbing her numb backside. It was a little tedious focusing on a target for so long and her eyes were starting to hurt her. Just as she turned to leave she took notice of a few shady figures that were pacing the allies to the right of her. They were talking to themselves, a threat to no one but for some reason Mi felt uneasy watching them. All at once they seemed to react to the same thing. The mother that Mi had been tailing walked past the ally, heading for home it seemed. Mi was not sure what was happening but she knew to trust her instincts so she followed after the mother. It was no surprise that she noticed the shady figures were also following behind her. Mi liked to give every person in Kirigakure the benefit of the doubt but something told her she was not going to like the ending should she stand by and do nothing. Mi began her next trick. She was still linked to the woman so it should still work to harness her ability into her. The woman took notice of the people behind her and picked up her pace but there was only so much she could do cradling her baby and her purchases in either of her arms. Mi granted the woman a little more speed but only moderately. It seemed that her pace was significantly increased by how little progress she was making and Mi watched, with worry as the men seemed to increase their pace, maxing out as if they had been holding back before. Mi narrowed her gaze. They were not trying to catch up with the woman, they were herding her!

[ Soul Release: Rabbit's Foot : Rank D // Learned ]

[1/1] The woman seemed to suddenly jump on the same train of thought as Mi had jumped to and in an instant she dropped her purchases and started running for the nearest break in the empty streets she had taken to walking down. Mi followed her from above, getting ready to intervene. She wasn't going to stand idly by and watch. Before Mi could even think of a Jutsu to come up with the woman made a sudden move that Mi, as a medic, would recognize as setting oneself up for a sprained ankle at the least. The woman faltered and began to fall to the ground. Mi was quick in her movements. This was another technique she had in her arsenal of trick and although it was the most unpleasant of them Mi would rather she were hurt than any one of her citizens. Because of the link Mi was able to transfer the pain the woman had received into herself, although it would be reflected twice as painfully in Mi. Immediately Mi's ankle began to flare up, the pain unbearable. She fell to her knees, watching helplessly from all fours as the woman took the brunt of her fall, sparing her child from being harmed. That fall was all the men needed to catch up to the woman. She curled her body around her child and closed her eyes, her fear coming off in waves. Mi shakily stood up, her ankle burning with the new pain that seared from it.

[ Taking Pain : Rank D // Learned ]

[1/1] Mi needed to give the woman a chance to get up and escape. Even if it was a small window. She had to throw off the attackers or distract them. Mi jumped down from her perch and stood behind the group that had fanned out in a group of three in front of the terrified woman. Mi decided to give them a taste of their own medicine and use them in her training before she administered her punishment to them. She tapped each of their shoulders quickly, forming the link that only she could see. They turned around to look at her, surprised at first that someone had tapped them but then suddenly smug as they realized someone as slight as herself was no threat. Mi could sense the ANBU nearby and knew that if things went south they would step in. The woman looked up at Mi then, a little shocked to see that someone had stepped up in her defense. "Run" Mi told the woman, the woman getting up quickly to go. One of the assaulters moved to grab the woman and that was when Mi reacted, activating another jutsu. Be it that she was slightly upset or that she was in close proximity but this time her jutsu took immediate effect. Mi noted the pain in her ankle lessen greatly and noticed as the group of three all blanched out and went to their knees. The pain in their ankles not only caught them off guard but scared them into a submissive position. The woman got to her feet and ran, carrying her child off to safety. Mi watched as she left, ANBU suddenly dropping down from the roof tops to surround the little part Mi had created. "Make sure she gets everything she purchased in her bag.... These guys are going to the prison for a few days. I stopped them before they did anything but still, they should reflect upon their poor choices." The men were trembling in their little group of three nodding in accordance to Mi's form of mercy. She could always just sick the ANBU on them and they knew that.

Anbu flooded the area, prepared to defend the area should the Rokubi make an appearance. They also checked the area, making sure to clear anyone out. [any shinobi in the area must report to the academy]

The slug made it to the apartments, but ANBU had already flooded the area! In its saddened stupor, though, the creature simply kept walking in a straight line. Buildings were crushed beneath its feet as it scampered to and fro trying to avoid embarrassing itself any further in front of the foxy she-slug he had met in the hot springs. Underfoot, there was a thump in the ground.

Ohn pushed the door open and slipped inside. She turned to find her mother passed out on the couch, still wearing her apron and work attire. She moved to her bedroom and closed the door behind her quietly. She sat Haika on her bed and smiled before petting her on the head. A shower was a good idea, Ohn slipped into her bathroom and turned on the hot water allowing it to warm up. Discarding her clothes from her being, Ohn stepped into the shower. From the living room her mother yawned a sat up, hearing the shower she walked over to Ohn's room and opened the door. "Ozoke?" Ohn with soapy hands from shampooing her hair, answered to her mom. "Yeah, mom? Her mother walked into her room and sat on the bed, where Haika had gladly climbed in her lap. "How's training coming?" "Tougher than I thought, but I'm getting the hang of it." Ohn rinsed her hair and then turned the water off. She pulled the towel from the rack and wrapped it around her. grabbing another that she placed on top of her head. She pulled the curtain opened and stepped from the shower. She walked into her room and was drying her hair. Her mother smiled. "You're a lot more muscle toned." Her mother said jokingly, Ohn frowned for a moment and then smiled. She wasn't going to argue about that. Ohn walked over to her closet and shifted throw her clothes. "What are you looking for, Ozoke?" "The white and gold jacket grandma gave to me last year. You know the one that has a belt, black tank and shorts. Thigh high stockings, and those white boots." Her mother sat Haika back on the bed before crouching down and lifting the skirt of Ohn's bed. Bring forth a white box with a gold pattern. "You mean this? The outfit you swore up and down that you where never going to wear?" Ohn turned around and laughed nervously as she blushed. Her mother rolled her eyes and sat the box down on the bed. Turning her mother looked at Ohn's calender before stepping closer to it. Seeing the today was circled about a half dozen time in red marker. "Is it today? When you finally get to meet Steel face to face?" Ohn was opening the gift box as her mother asked her. Looking up to the calender, Ohn smiled. "Looks that way. He's traveling from Konoha because I'm still a genin. So I can't travel to see him. But he said we could meet from in Kiri. Now. If you don't mind I should probably get ready. I don't want to be late." Her mother smiled with a simple nodded before stepping out of Ohn's room. Ohn dressed in the black shorts and tank; practically skipping over to her desk and taking up a pair of scissors. She moved into her bathroom and brushed out her hair. Pulling back what she didn't want cut into a ponytail. She began with a steady hand, cutting her bangs at mid-cheek. Tossing the clump of hair into the trash, pinning a fair amount of that back. She played with the level of the scissors, finding that a few centimeters above her eyelids would look best. She snipped away, tossing the clump of hair into the trash. She fluffed her bangs some and brushed her teeth. No reason into why, but felt it was a nice thing to do. Once finished, she got dressed and grabbed and satchel she had made the night before. She scooped Haika into the satchel and pulled her boots on. She walked from her room and smiled at her mom before waving with ease. Grabbing her sword on the way out, before closing to door behind her. Her jacket flowed behind her as she walked the hallway as she headed to the waterfalls to meet her pen pal from Konoha.

l| After explaining to his land lady that, yes, he was Yokai, Sypher pushed into his apartment, allowed Ima in then closed the door with his back before sliding to the ground. The land lady had taken good care of his place and, much to his delight, even added furniture. He now had curtains and what looked like food bowls outside on the deck for him to feed the strays. His inside cats, all fourteen of them, came to greet him and exchange hello's with Ima who made himself very comfortable. Sypher stared around, allowing Yokai to point out where everything was, pushing himself up to walk around. There was a huge blank white wall that Sypher decided must be painted. The kitchen was clean and he had new food bowls in there too with a recipe for their food on the fridge Thank goodness for her...that land lady is wonderful. he smiled at Yokai's agreement then sat on the futon and took a deep breath "Its not bad, right?" his tone changed just slightly from one he would normally have used, a soft, childlike murmur that marked Yokai's arrival into control "Mmmm...its wide. Open...like..." Opening his eyes, Sypher finally allowed himself to grieve. Tears burned their way down his cheeks and he buried his face in his hands, his shoulders shaking as he cried I'll never see Kumogakure again. Never know if my students are all still alive, never attend funerals of people I care about! I couldn't even say good bye to Kyo! he cried like he hadn't in months and Ima came over to sit beside him, his head pushing its way into his lap. Sypher slid down the side of the futon and wrapped his arms around Ima, crying into the clean white fur. Yokai kept quiet as Sypher grieved before whispering But you still have everything here... Sypher choked and breathed slowly, opening his eyes to stare about the apartment. Yokai was right and now...Now he would never truly be alone "Yes..." he took a deep shaky breath and wiped at his face "You're right." he stood and looked to the kitchen "I suppose we should make our rounds, shouldn't we?" Yokai agreed enthusiastically and Sypher smiled shakily before striding to the door "Rest, Ima. I'll be back soon." he said, closing the door behind him. Ima settled to the floor, crossed his paws and went to sleep, unwittingly becoming a new crawling thing for the house cats. |l

Following behind Sypher, Yokai watched his back, his mind still whirling over why Sypher had reacted aggressively to Mi's touch. Though Mi didn't seem to have noticed, it worried Yokai He still doesn't trust her maybe...? he thought, taking the steps a little faster then Sypher so they reached the door at the same time. Ima raised his head as the two came in but didn't seem surprised to see two masters and simply went right back to sleep "Sy...why don't you trust Mi-san yet?" he asked, climbing the stairs to sit on the sleep level as Sypher went to feed the cats.
Pausing in mid pour, Sypher looked up at Yokai for a moment, contemplating his twin's words "I don't know. I think I do...but I also don't. I trust her....but I also think that she shouldn't trust me. Maybe that's why I reacted that way." he resumed pouring as Yokai stared at him then rolled over to curl up in the pillow pile Maybe I'm just sabotaging myself. If she doesn't trust me, it won't hurt as badly when she betrays me. If she betrays me...she'd never betray Yokai though... he put the food down as the cats converged on the bowls and stepped around them, going up to the same level. He tossed his shoes off and scooted back to lay down opposite Yokai. They faced each other, both staring at the other for a moment before Sypher reached out and touched Yokai's face "How do you feel...?" he asked, wondering what it was like to be in such a strangely created body.
As Sypher touched his face lightly, Yokai closed his eyes for a brief moment "I feel heavy. Its not the same....being inside, its light. Like air....but its heavy out here....and exhausting....." he murmured and felt Sypher's hand come to rest on the pillow next to his head. He shifted and scooted closer to Sypher, curling his body up and pulling Sypher's arm over his shoulder "But I like being able to touch you...I couldn't touch inside....its very...lonely...." he mumbled, his head resting on Sypher's other arm as he stretched it out. He didn't hear Sypher's reply, or even if he did reply, drifting to sleep in the comfort of warmth and familiarity.
Sypher watched as Yokai fell asleep and easily slid his arm out from under Yokai's, sitting up Hm. he stretched his legs out a little, staring out the wall to ceiling windows for a moment Why don't I trust her? Sypher's thoughts turned to Mi unconsciously and he twisted his face side ways with both hands, smooshing it into a weird puckered shape as he thought She's been perfectly nice, she cares about Yokai...and she saved both our lives. he released his face and slumped back on his elbows, staring Haaaaa.... he put his head back and stared at the ceiling, finding his attempts to ponder the subject...annoying. It was annoying. As he realized it was annoying, he scowled and shoved off the pillows, causing Yokai to rumple and twist in his sleep. Sypher froze, waiting for a moment as his twin settled and then quietly went down the steps, pulling a jacket on as he left the apartment.
(Exit: Sypher To: ?)

After some hours of resting, Yokai blinked awake to a wall of deep white fur "Nuuuh....Ima....fluffy buff." he shoved at the tiger's backside and sat up, hair stuck up one side from sleep and rubbed his eyes. Ima merely shifted and huffed out some air as Yokai looked around for Sypher "Sy...? Sy......" his eyes started to well up a bit as he realized he'd been left behind but he quickly buried his face in Ima's fur to forestall their fall Of course he left. He doesn't like to stay in one place for too long. Well....I'll just go have some fun myself then. And find him later. he rolled out of bed and off the ledge, landing like a cat on all fours. After scrounging up some clothes and some food, he left.

"Stupid people with their stupid pets!" Kawaii groaned as she tried her best not be dragged along helplessly by the giant dog whom she so unfortunately had been tasked with walking. "Just get a stuffed animal! They're just as cute, twice as cooperative, and a million times less stinky!" The rationalizations to no one that Kawaii gave out didn't really change the fact that her footing was beginning to give way. The stupid mutt had decided it wanted to wander down a gravel path instead of staying on the Market's paving stone walkways. At least on the solid surface the Genin could apply a bit of chakra to keep from being pulled over, here the tiny pebbles simply rolled under her feet. Every step brought the slobbering beast more momentum and the girl less traction.
[Walk a Pet Post 1/3]

With riotous noise the girl's feet finally flew from under her. Stupid woman wouldn't let Kawaii use Heika's puppet either, which meant that keeping control over this thing couldn't be made into a two person affair. "Might scare the poor thing." The clumsy girl wanted to shout those words in disgust, to find the woman who spoke them and just yell them out. She didn't though, she lay there on her back being dragged along, utterly mortified at the situation she found herself in. Branches of the manicured trees flashed overhead and shrubbery tugged at her pant legs as the dog rounded a corner, skipping over a part of the paved road and back onto the gravel path once more. If only she were allowed to cage the damn thing, then she could pretend like she walked the pet and lounge around for a while. Why couldn't Inka-sensei have come helped her for a while? At the very least it would mean that this dragging might have been avoided.
[Walk a Pet 2/3]

Like a light bulb clicking on an idea sprung to Kawaii's mind. Utilizing her ability to perform simple jutsu with one hand Kawaii gathered chakra. She wasn't using anything specifically, but instead using the beginning of her clone technique to form a slab of wood along her arm. In the process she could keep one hand securely on the dog's leash. The single handed seals started the process, but the Genin cut it off as what essentially amount to the clone's arm had formed. Twisting around the girl rolled atop the wood, steadied herself and stood upon it. In an instant the mission turned from a mildly painful chore into something fun. Walking the dog had turned into a recreation activity or form of sport instead thanks to the piece of wood which now skittered across the gravel. "See there dog, you won't drag me about like a rag doll." A few minutes later the animal had begun to tire and headed for home. When the finally arrived back both were sufficiently tired and Kawaii returned her charge, thankful to be done with the mission.

Kawaii rolled her dog walking right over into another mission. This one would earn her points in the office as well as money. That was a plus, but the girl still wished Inka-sensei had agreed to go on a mission with her. She did so hate being alone. Even if she was just going to scoop up an old woman for a trip to the market. The scroll said that this woman was frail and weak, and that while she didn't require any direct assistance could still do with a companion for safety's sake. What a drag, farting around the village with old people wasn't the job of a ninja.
[Help out the Elderly Post 1/6]

Knock, knock, knock. The knocks came slowly as Kawaii waited outside the door. The sound of shuffling footsteps seeped through the cracks in the door as the mission's subject approached to open it. A conversation was had as the woman explained her needs. Kawaii suggested that her puppet could be of assistance under the guise that she herself required more practice with it. The woman agreed, providing a sense of relief to the young kunoichi. Kawaii really didn't want to wander around having awkward conversation with the old bat. Not in a way that was meant to be mean though, but in the sense that Inka's dismissal of her had been upsetting and she didn't feel like talking to anyone.

"RAH!" Kawaii's inner self shouted in relief at the fact that this mission was now officially over. The old woman had been help back to her residence. The groceries had been removed from the puppet. Last, but not least, Kawaii had received confirmation that her mission was complete. Done! She was done with this stupid thing that had eaten up the rest of her day. There would be no more missions for the time being. This puppeteer had a strong desire to sleep after a day of training and a pair of missions. All the work had her feet dragging as she resealed the puppet and headed for her own home. It would be back to the grind again tomorrow, but at least it was done for now.

Genin // Bukijutsu // Bloodline // Chakra: 255/255 // Ryo: 500 // AC: 750

Yuto made his way to the next area that he was told about for a mission and smiled as he met the old lady at her door. She informed him of what he had to do and how long he had to do it. Nodding, Yuto moved to the back and started work. Upon reaching the garden, Yuto went straight to work as he began pulling weeds over and over again. On his knees he worked quickly and maticulously as the weeds were begining to disappear. Looking around he noticed another garden of hers that was getting worst with weeds. Realizing this he stood and took sometime to look around as he noticed that all three of her four gardens were covered in weeds. Moving to the next one he would begin pulling the weeds quickly as he grinned and moved on shortly after. On the thrid garden Yuto looked at the time and noticed that he was going on sceduale. Finishing the third garden he moved to the last one working quickly. Finishing it and he stood grinning heading over to knock on the womens door. She thanked him and paid him his ryo as he nodded and left her to be alone.

Pushing the door open with her free arm, the female Merino stepped inside her home with a basket of goodness. Closing the door behind her, she made her way to the kitchen and placed the pre-made dinner for the night in the fridge. Taking the bouquet of flowers out of the basket, she placed the now empty container beneath one of the kitchen counters and made her way to her mother's bedroom. Upon opening the door, she stood still for a moment and looked her sleeping mom. She looked peaceful when she was asleep, though her eyes made her looked exhausted. It was as though she had been through days without sleep at all even though she slept nearly all the time now. Making sure to be as silent as she could, Serena made her way to her mother's bedside and started to switch the vase's wilting flowers with the fresh ones. Rustling in the bed made her freeze.

"Serena? What are you doing home so early? I thought you had training to do today."

"Miss Kera had a present for you mom. She got you flowers along with dinner tonight. It's your favorite, beef stew with baby carrots."

The old looking woman smiled her usual motherly smile before closing her eyes and wincing in pain. Serena fell to her knees at her mother's bedside and took her hand into her own two. "Mama what's wrong?" The woman motioned her to her shoulder with her free hand. Instantly the young girl removed her hands from her mom's and began to knead and prod at the painful area. Her mother screamed in pain at first at the deep tissue massage before calming down slowly. It was usual. Being bed ridden meant that her joints became stiff at times. Serena usually had to make sure to help her mom rotate her arms and legs so they wouldn't get that way. She'd been so busy with training lately she'd forgotten to do so though. Serena would need to watch that if she wanted to be any use to her mom.

Moving around the bed, she climbed up onto her father's empty side of the bed so she could reach her mother's other side. Again, the older woman cried at first as her daughter dug her fingers into the muscles to get to them. It hurt Serena to do this to her mother, but she knew that it was for the best if she wanted to do what was right for her.

"Oh, Sera, dear, do you mind doing that thing again? You know, with the flowers? It's so pretty..."

Nodding to her mother, the girl closed her eyes and began to do what she always did for her mother when she requested it. The girl focused her chakra into the palm of her hand, allowing it to slowly take the shape of the flower Serena most preferred; Carnation. With it's many petals, it meant she needed to perform the Jutsu less times than those who performed the Jutsu with such things as Lilies or Sakura Blossoms.

She counted them once before, and it had nearly forty small petals. The color variation really depended on what she wished it to be, so most of the time it was a variation of purple or pink. Lavender was her favorite, but she found she could create unnatural colors as well. Such as lime green or a weird shade of brown. They were ugly to her though so she stuck with her purples. Soon enough three flower-heads formed in her hand, exploding into a beautiful array of petals around her. Leaning her head back slightly, she used her ability to shift them through the air to circle around her body in a lovely display. In an instant she solidified them into a single area and created a sort of block-like structure behind her. It looked like something you'd create for a backdrop during a spring Flower Festival for a stage. It was her backdrop for what her mother truly loved. She always enjoyed seeing her daughter when she was a child. Since pictures never truly did anything to show someone's personality, Serena was able to create a floral clone of her younger self for her mother to watch and hold until she fell asleep. Able to infuse a scent into the flower clone, when her mother finally got to sleep, she released the clone into it's original petal like state and released the scent into the air around her to help keep her asleep for a longer period of time. There wasn't a lot that Serena could do for her mother, but this was something she could do easily along with taking care of the basics for her. The only daughter fed and sponge bathed her mother every day so she had more time to interact with her than her father who worked all the time.

Checking the clock on the wall, Serena sighed. She still had a few hours before she needed to start on supper. Doing one last thing for her mother, the one thing that she really wished to see, the girl and her floral backdrop moved back a bit so that her mother didn't need to really sit up that much in order to see what her daughter was doing. Closing her emerald colored eyes she inherited from her father so that she could focus a bit more on what she was doing, Serena created a few more flowers in order to perform for her mother. The flowers exploded into new petals, solidifying onto the ground into a small toddler. Green eyes and spiked up golden brown hair greeted the two humans in the room. A content sigh came from the bed as Serena bent down to pick up the small clone and place it next to her mother. Frail looking arms wrapped themselves lightly around the thing as it nestled up close beside her. It seemed so happy to be loved by the older woman. It was the essence of love the mother had for her child, even if she couldn't hold her true child, thinking of holding onto her baby was more than enough for her.

Too bad it wasn't all that Serena wanted. Turning her eyes away from the sight, Serena released her backdrop of flowers and watched as they fell to the floor. Coming into contact with the solid hardwood flooring, the petals dissolved into sprinkles of glittering lavender colored chakra before completely evaporating into the air. It was beautiful. Even to a girl who had done it so many times in her young childhood, the sight of such a natural beauty still transfixed her. Turning back to see her mother's eyes beginning to close, the girl started to hum a soft lullaby for her. The older woman's lips turned up just slightly at her daughter's voice, and began to attempt to hum the song along with her. It was the same lullaby she used to sing to her sweet child when she was a toddler and couldn't sleep alone for fear of the monster her father used to say came after bad little girls who didn't listen to their parents.

As soon as the woman was completely asleep, the lavender-clad Merino girl released her clone into it's natural petal state that evaporated much the same as always. Being sure to stay quiet, Serena picked up the wilted flowers that she had left on the bedside table and walked out of the room to throw them in the trash.. It was full, so she needed to take it outside when she left the house. The girl had promised to meet up with one of the Shinobi who worked at the Hospital that afternoon so she needed to be on her way soon enough. Picking up her shoulder bag she'd left near the doorway, the girl slipped her shoes on and began to make her way towards her next destination.

Sypher "Syy" Senju

Ima greeted Sypher as he came in, the massive white tiger curling around him and nearly knocking him over. He chuckled and knelt, allowing Ima to nose his face and plant hot tiger kisses all over him Its not fair...why did I have to go too? "Because you pissed me off. You showed up, out of nowhere, and caused a huge fuss about something that didn't matter near as much as Kawa and Inka getting attacked by a fellow teammate." I didn't know! "Yeah and you didn't bother to ask either did you? Now shut it! You got what you wanted...you're in my head until we get back from the mission. I'm gonna paint...so zip it." Yoo subsided with grumping mumbles as Sypher looked up at his mural. It was a half finished painting of a picturesque mountain seen. Clouds rolled all over the image, beautiful green hills and trees a well as some ruins...it was Kumogakure. Anyone who had been there would know it immediately. Syy stared up at it, feeling that intense pang of homesickness before he walked over to the pile of paints in a corner. He stripped his clean shirt off and pulled on his painting shirt, adding a pair of pants to it. He began mixing paints, throwing them onto a platter while he picked two or three paintbrushes before he climbed the wall. Chakra glued his feet to the wall and Sypher settled into a crouch near an unfinished cloud This isn't exactly a good thing to be painting, Syy. "I don't care....I'm allowed to miss my home...." he said quietly, swirling his brush into the paint and getting started.
