Geist followed along behind her, he watching the floor beneath him, the checkerboard pattern useful to hide traps, but he knew better. "Things are not always as they appear in those manor house, Miss Aries..." He placed a hand on her shoulder, he reaching out and grabbing one of the wall sconces, pulling it down, a large steel gate thundering down from the ceiling. "As this shows...and the floor beneath your feet also holds traps...triggered to go off if one stands on two squares of the same color..." He looked down, one foot on black, the other on white.
The elder child saw the tears welling in the child's eyes and quickly went to her knees. "No...no don't cwy...I did not mean to upset...no..." He pet the baby's head. "If you cwy, big blue boy will come and be mad..." She looked down the hall, watching for Solitare.

Aries blinks as Geist put a hand on her shoulder, stopping her in her tracks. She eyes the steel gate as it thunders down from the ceiling, then looks down at the floor at her feet. "I see... Perhaps I should just follow you for awhile then, at least until I can get a better feel for how things go around here..?"
Bethany sniffles again, then attempts to awkwardly pounce the other, an attempt to show that no harm was done and that she didn't want the other upset because of her.

The pale fae smiled and nodded to the female, he looking into her eyes with his empty pools. "Then follow me carefully, watch your feet, I do not want to have to save you from yourself, dear Aries." He walked along ahead of her, he not even having to look at the floor to know that his feet were in fact touching the different colored squares. "It only takes practice, in time you will be able to walk about without fear."
Modron squeeled as she was tackled and landed on her butt, she looking at the other, abit surprised, but all in all she was not upset. She pet the little baby's head and nodded. "You is ok, wittle baby..I tink I wike you..."

Aries follows quickly after him, watching carefully where he put his feet before following suit. "I'm sure my daughter will have an easier time with this than I am." She chuckles slightly at that. "She's at a young enough age that learning is still going to come easily to her."
Bethany purrs at the petting, then giggles and rolls away, dark hair flipping every which way.

"I can only hope, though it is true, have have yet to see any of the children have any issue with walking here" He moved to the chambers, he smiling and stopping before her door. "You have the option of having an alarm set on your door, a sort of...booby trap that will sound if someone you do not wish to be here tries to enter." He smirked. "All you need do is let me know.."
The other young baby rolled over and tackled Bethany, she nomming on her ear lightly and batting at her head. She giggled and rolled over onto the floor. "Om nom!" She struck her tongue out at the girl.

Aries, so intent on watching the floor to make sure she stepped where Geist did, nearly runs into the others back as he stops in front of her door. Blinking red eyes curiously, she looks at him. "Oh? Do people really do that here? I'd hate to have someone deciding to just come in, rifle through mine and my daughter's things, trash the place, and leave..."
Bethany giggles again, clapping her hands at the other two babies.

He smiled over his shoulder as she came close to his back, he chuckling to himself. "It is not a common thing, no, but it has been known to happen now and again...the Goddess does what she can to keep people safe, and the children sometimes get adventurous. I would hate for a child goddess to get into your room, looking for candy" He pulled a face that said it had happened to him too often. "Modron does that...though..her sister, Doai...she is much better."
Modron looked at Keres and shook her head, he tackling the baby and rolling to her her back, there was nothing but paws and dust for a moment before the dust cleared and Modron was on her stomach, Keres on her back, grinning. "Teehee...* She blew raspberries at the little goddess under her.

She gives a small smile at that. "Well, children I honestly don't have a problem with. If the little ones feel the need to come looking for sweets, I might have to make it a habit of hiding some for them to find."
Bethany giggles at the two older babies, then snuggles up to the both of them with a yawn.

The male laughed and nodded. "If you leave them on purpose you will never be free of the little godlings, i am afraid, though..seeing Modron on sugar is amusing, I must admit." He laughed and lingered in the doorway, he looking down the halls ,waiting to see children running. "Perhaps I should hunt down your child...so she knows where her mommy has gone."
Keres looked at the other baby, she patting her head and pulling her into the cuddle pile, her head resting on Bethany. "Seee....seeeep..." She pet Bethany's head, she blinking wide, blank eyes before yawning herself. So much play left a baby tired.

Aries gives a little chuckle at that. "I wouldn't mind, to be honest." She looks in the direction Geist was looking, then nods. "I think perhaps it is time to find my little Bethany. It's her nap time about now."
Bethany gives a sleepy giggle and yawns again, curling up to her first friends once again and drifting off to sleep, unaware her mom was on her way to collect her.

Geist smirked and nodded. "I will go with you...if only to make certain that you do not trip any traps." He winked and lead her down the hall. He found himself wanting to talk to this woman, he did not know why, it was so very odd. He was not a social creature, in fact he was the opposite, all do and very little talk, perhaps that is why he found himself with so many children in his care. "I can only assume that your daughter was dragged into tonights game. Where we find Modron and Keres we will find your daughter.."

Aries smiles a bit at that and nods, following after Geist. "It'll be good if she did get pulled into the game. She's never really met others around her own age or size before. As long as it's nothing too dangerous that they play, I trust she'll be in good hands here."

Geist smiled and nodded. "It is good to be introduced to others of their own age early, and I do not think there is a better crew than the children here....though..the little goddess can be hard to handle." He laughed and rounded the corner and laughed, seeing the pile of babies in the middle of the hallway. He shook his head and looked back to Aries. "it seems that nap time has occurred without persuasion..." He winked

Aries grins a bit at that. "Any child can be hard to handle, depending on their moods." Rounding the corner after Geist, she looks at the pile of babies and smiles slightly. "Looks like I won't have to worry about her making friends, at least. They do make an adorable picture, don't you think?"

Geist smiled and nodded to the woman that walked behind him. It was a truth, that, any child could be a handful, but each parent always thought their child the most trying. "it is a lovely picture indeed. It is a small blessing the Keres has made friends so easily. She is not the most vocal of girls, normally abused by dear Modron..."
It was at this time the Geist's son came running down the hall, his long tail moving behind him like a whip. "They got away from me..I don't know how but they managed!!" He was out of breath when he stopped before the pair.
