My knowledge of voodoo is limited (I, too, did a paper, but like 6 years ago) and I think voodoo zombies are made out by a kind of chemical mishmash. So would they be like a "slave" group- if a bokor or someone made a zombie, it would just be to serve them?

So would they be like a "slave" group- if a bokor or someone made a zombie, it would just be to serve them? It's called Zombie Powder, and it has a strong neurotoxin in it that puts the victim into a very advanced, paralyzed sleep-state. Think of Juliet from Romeo and Juliet when she took the potion so that they would think her dead and she and Romeo could run off together...except that Romeo thought she was REALLY dead and killed himself.

I'm still working on the Zombi thing, but moreso now that I've received a lot of good info.
So what I'm thinking for Zombis is that, in this pride, it's a taboo--it's not something that is considered acceptable or natural. The pride is firmly against it. It's like a bed-time story used to scare kids, but it also scares adults. So for this pride, I think it'll be where some (VERY limited--I'll have to oversee things; maybe they'll only be available via contest) Bokor or Caplata will take on an individual as an apprentice and then test their zombi powder on them (probably only if they trusted the individual an the individual agreed to it) and use that individual as their slave. But with this pride, the zombi powder can ware off after time, so the individual can revert back to their normal selves after a while. Any Bokor or Caplata who does this would be extreeeemely secretive about it, and their zombi apprentice would be sworn to secrecy, as well. Because since it's sort of a dark, new thing that they're still testing, and they're not sure how the pride would react, anyone who tests it would want to keep it on the way down-low. For now. > 3> Hehe
So yeah, I'm still working on it, people can keep on posting ideas about this. XD It's still a very much WIP thing, but I was interested in adding it as a concept to the pride since it sounds so freaking intense. lol

Ooh, Eski I think the "yeah, this is really taboo" is much better then what I was thinking of "slave class"
I feel like a zombi would be horrifying, and the idea that they might be out there is a lot more powerful then "oh, yeah, I made this little cheetah cub into a zombi and he does everything I want. I see you got yourself a zombi snake! What a nice pattern!"
Also: creepy and sneaky makes for scary Bokor and Caplata
Also: I want one of the Bokor to carry around a dead pufferfish on a string, if he's into zombi making.

I hope this is done correctly... this is for the lion I would LIKE to someday get customed to join the pride. I'm hoping to custom her into a Rogue mating with Chipo as her mother or if that doesn't happen then a custom as a Juvenile or Adolescent would be the goal. So some of the areas will look like "yadda yadda OR yadda yadda" depending on which option I can get/which opportunity comes to me first. The 'Why is this SoA joining the pride' will work for either. Personality: Omore has always been the quiet type, listening silently to conversations weather she is intended to be privy to them or not. She has difficulty showing emotion, not that she doesn't feel them any less intensely than others. Her natural reaction to happiness, sadness, anger or otherwise is simply a blank expression. Many mistake this and her tendency to say very little as Omore being mentally slow or an emotionless creature. Why is this SoA joining the pride/how long have they been in the pride?: Omoe never really fit in with her family. Everyone else was loud and animated while she was quiet and still. Out of no ill will towards her family she struck out on her own, feeling a deep, deep need to find the place where she fit in. She found it amongst the Voodoo Pride. The hope would be that, despite being young, she would begin training under Pya as a Pèseptè.

I'm thinking if she left home, she'd probably have to be an adolescent at least, right?
And it's fine if Pya helps her in the rank, but generally pride members are taught their rank by multiple members of that rank,
kind of like a collective teaching group...school...thing. XD But yeah, looks good!
Let me know via PM or post if you'd ever like to change the joining form with
for-sure info once your plot's concrete. That'd be fine. :3

Yes, I'm thinking AT LEAST adolescent. Not sure if there could be anything to draw her out at Juvenile but the possibility could be there. *shrug*
I just singled out Pya since he seems to be the only Pèseptè currently. XD

Why is this SoA joining the pride/how long have they been in the pride?: Duni's past is very mysterious, he can't remember much of it at all. Either his parents abandoned him, or he got very lost and could never find his way back. Whatever had happened, he later was adopted by several of the voodoo cubs as friends and siblings and grew up with them in the pride.

just a couple things before I accept:
how old is he gonna be? 'cause the pride began to accept non-lions only recently.
Time-wise, any newer-member non-lion who isn't completely new to the pride
could only have been an adolescent at the youngest when they first joined.
(I'll make sure to add this to the joining section, I fail. XD)

Also, I like the names as they are because I seem to remember that Voodoo arose from kind of a culture clash, and that different beliefs came together to form it. So I think some mishmashing is good.

kk, seems like majority rules that the ranks will stay as they are.
So for the "puppet" rank, I've put a poll up for that, since I was still not 100% on which way to have it spelled.
After that, I think I'll put up a poll for the pride name and post several ideas for that.
