For a moment, Yuri swore she had seen a different sort of emotion flash across the boy's face. Was it irritation? It was a little hard to tell, because he had the same defiant expression. But as soon as she was struck by the realization that her comment had made him mad, she had to bite back an odd sense of pleasure. What an entertaining response! Her father had always told her that that sadistic side of hers wasn't a good thing, and that she shouldn't take so much pleasure from teasing people, but she was only eleven, it wasn't something she could get rid of so easily. Still, this boy, however strange and rude, was interesting to watch.
A small smile settled on her face as she watched him think. Maybe it was a hard question, since he was just about as new as she was. Eventually he decided on a lighthouse. At first she was surprised that the island would have a lighthouse, but then she remembered that an island would have more of reason to have one. She had never seen one in person, of course. "The lighthouse?" Yuri questioned, her voice and expression mixed with interest, but also hesitation. Her father had told her to be careful and stay near the buildings. "Are we allowed to go there?" She was curious, but she also didn't want to get in trouble. Her father looked overworked enough as it was, she didn't want him to find out that she was breaking the rules already.

When the girl responded to his decision, June looked at her with disbelief. "Who cares!" He told her bluntly almost immediately after she stopped talking. Who was going to stop them anyway? Her dad was out somewhere, and the boy's parents wouldn't even bat an eye to the situation. And besides that, were they 'allowed' to go there? Since when was there a boss of an over-sized flashlight? This girl obviously had no sense of what was fun. Even more, she didn't even seem to be able to act like a kid. Couldn't dress like one either. He hopped onto his bike and patted the square bar frame on the back where he let Ray ride when he was around. "Just hop on, we'll get there in no time at all" June said with a grin that was beaming with more confidence than most people could ever have. Sure he didn't know where the place was. But it had to be near the harbor, and he knew where that was... Approximately. It didn't matter, he'd get them there easy as that.

Who cares? Who cares? Yuri wasn't sure how to react to something like that. They were kids! They weren't allowed to just run around as they pleased. For a moment, she paused. She knew she wasn't supposed to, her father had explicitly said no, but there was something appealing about going anyway. She was probably going to regret it later, but she was too young to understand things like that. So after a long moment of thought, she nodded. "...Okay." She took a step near the bicycle, glancing around for a helmet or something. She stood there silently for a moment before shaking her head and carefully climbing onto the back of the bicycle, holding down her skirt so it wouldn't flutter up.

June's smile didn't fade, especially when the girl agreed. He had thought she would definitely say no. She seemed like that kind of girl. Yet, it was the other way around. She agreed! Reluctantly, but still is was a yes. And that was all June needed. Making sure not to shake up the girl to much, he brought up the kickstand and looked around one last time to remember where the harbor was. And when he was all set, he put his feet to the peddles and began. First at a slow pace, but soon he accelerated to a steady yet fast speed. He had no time to waste! Its as if June believed that if they got there to late it would be gone. And to him, if they got their and someone else was there, or if it was night time and someone stopped them from going there, it might as well have been gone. So June had to get there as fast as possible, "Hold on tight!" Without losing the girl after all.

Oh, how wonderful and bright the world was outside~ Shinju, if given the chance, probably would have ran and frolicked out of sheer relief from getting out of that godawful mansion, but she contained herself. Even if she was out of the mansion, there was still a chance she could be seen. So she walked with Walter in silence towards the clothing shop. Thankfully, she had forgotten her cellphone at home that night (she was so reckless) so she had everything she needed with her already. That simplified things. When they were almost to the tailor's, she stopped, and turned to Walter. "I'm just going to go now, okay?" she said with a smile. He had offered to let her escape before, so she was certain he would also turn a blind eye to this. "It's not to say all of this hasn't been fun. You're a nice guy, and I wish you luck with your job, but there's no way I'm marrying that idiot. I have a kid sister and a three year old at home, and I've been away long enough as it is. I'll see you around?" She was unusually chipper, if only because being cheerful meant she didn't have to imagine returning to her home, only to have a group of servants jump out of the bushes and kidnap her again.

"Of course Ma'am." Walter said with a smile to her as they turned and stopped to speak with one another. "Though i will say, he might kidnap you again in the future Ma'am. He is persistent and stupid. So be careful. Do take care though. Oh and you do know i have to say you eluded me somehow and escaped.. if he asks where you are, that is." Walter said with a smile. "I think i can hold him off for a bit, saying your in your room with a flu or whatnot. But eventually he will catch on, ol girl. Until then." Walter said as he took the woman's hand and gently kissed the back of it. He bowed low and smiled. "Take care, Ta-ta." Walter said with a smile. He would still have to do his job and get everything ready for the wedding. But oh well! It worked out in his favor.

Shinju let out a long, relieved sigh. She knew that Walter probably wouldn't stop her, but there was something about him actually saying it that made her feel like a huge weight had been taken off her shoulders. "You're a good guy, Walter, thank you," she said with a thankful smile, trying not to let the kiss on the hand bother her. He was a very formal, gentlemanly sort of guy, so it fit his character. She turned to leave, but then stopped herself after a second thought. "If we ever cross paths again," she began, as they probably would, considering how small the island was, "Could you just call me Shinju? I think we're around the same age, so the 'ma'am' thing is kinda weird." Whomever said that Shinju was the more tactful of the two Tamaki sisters probably had never met either of them, since they were more on the same level of bluntness than anything else. Then, with a wave, Shinju turned on her heel and hurried back to her house.

Summer 29 Kenneth made his way down the streets of Nirvani. It was now Summer 29 at 12:30 in the morning. The moon rode high surrounded by the blanket of the night sky with thousands maybe even billions of glittery stars all dotted around it artistically begging the question how they all got there. Kenny puffed on his cigarette to keep it lit, it was almost all gone probably two hits left on it before it would be discarded. He exhaled slowly blowing a couple rings of smoke when his eyes happened upon a bench. The friendliest looking bench that he'd seen given his current living situation. It was far too late to go searching for a place to live so it would have to do. Kenneth took a seat on the bench, laying his suitcase, rucksack and assorted tools underneath of the bench looking back up to the sky. "I suppose I'm lucky it hasn't rained on me yet or I'd have to spend time in a clinic due to sickness." He said to himself aloud before taking another inhalation of smoke from his cigarette. He lied down on the bench and stared up at the night sky for a while. Man.. I miss Panic. I miss my bed and all my things. It's only been three days and already it feels like its been an eternity. I wonder how Mom is doing? Dad is probably getting ready for bed right about now making ready for a new day tomorrow. He thought to himself as overwhelming homesickness overcame him. The farm was the only place he'd really known all his life. I bet all the animals are still fine. Dad s always been pretty good with them. Tornado season is ending and I'm sure nothing hit while I've been gone. Things couldn't change that quick." He reassured himself quickly. It's to soon to be homesick.... A tear formed in Kenneth's left eye, slowly sliding down his face as he sniffled. Things were a lot easier when he had his parents to help him and food on the table every night. He had no idea what he'd gotten himself in to. He lay there silently for a time before crying himself into a deep, dreamless sleep.

Summer 29 Kenny's eyes opened slowly to sunlight, It was 1:33pm. He took a look up at the sky and made note of the suns location. Aww man. I slept in... He said groggily swaying back and forth on the bench as he sat up. He yawned as he reached for his vest that was on the ground and pulled his pack of cigarettes out of the front pocket along with a blue lighter. He stuck the butt end of the cigarette in between his lips and flicked the lighter a few times until he had an acceptable flame going. He then pressed the flame up against the opposite end of the cigarette and took a few short puffs on the butt end, The fire was sucked into the cigarette and the fireball had been created. He let go of the button on his lighter and slid both it and his pack back into his front pocket. He sat there for a moment smoking it until it was gone and flicking it off in some random direction. With that he stood up and bent over to grab his suitcase and rucksack along with the various tools he had collected and headed off down the streets to find a stream to bathe in. --exit Kenny-

Summer 30 Kenneth made way for the bench he had made into a bed for himself last night. It was now the 30th of Summer at 3:03 in the morning and Kenny knew this by the way the moon sat in the starry sky. He sat down on his bench with a hefty sigh, pulling a cigarette and his lighter from his front vest pocket he flicked the lighter top and lit the cigarette with the flame. Unstrapping his rucksack and tools and placing them on the ground with his suitcase he exhaled heftily, a billow of smoke flowing from his mouth. "Tomorrow I'll find a place for sure. I'm sick of this bench." Kenny said with a stretch and a yawn. It wasn't all that bad, At least he had the night sky to look up to every night before he left. He's still just lucky it hasn't rained on him yet. After finishing his cigarette he carelessly flicks it away and lays down on the bench, closing his eyes and entering a deep and dreamless sleep.

Summer 30 Kenny opened his eyes groggily and sat up slowly, cracking his back and stretching the whole way up with a yawn. OOooooaaahhh..... Time for another day on Nirvani Island. This is the day I get myself a place to live I swear it!" No doubt about it! Kenny was going to head straight for the place to talk about apartments and find the landlord and get himself a place to live.... right after he took a bath in the freezing cold water of the Nirvani River which would feel nice right about now considering the blistering heat he'd been sleeping in. He pulled a cigarette and a lighter from his front vest pocket, flicked his lighter and puffed on his cigarette to get it lit and just sat there enjoying the flavor. Inhale, exhale, blow a few smoke rings for show and flick the cigarette away carelessly. With that he stood up and grabbed his rucksack and winged it around his back tools connected and all. His suitcase was next to be grabbed up, which he did. Now that he had everything it was time to set out and set out he did, heading down the street to go to the river. ---Exit Kenny

Colin was wondering what he should do first. Well, other than look for a job and a proper place to live. Was that even a good idea? He didn't know if he intended to stay here that long. Everything was up in the air. He gave an irritable sort of shrug and continued walking down the street, just taking in the scenery. He started to get the itch to smoke, so he stopped again for a moment. He wasn't sure where he was anymore, but here seemed as good a place to light up as any. Colin wasn't very picky about things. He reached into his pocket and took out a cigarette and his lighter. He put the cigarette between his lips and stood there flicking the lighter without success. Light you damn thing! As if the object had heard his command, the flame appeared and Colin inhaled contentedly. There were so many things to think about. Life, death, purpose... What brought him there, and where was he headed? Thinking about those things gave Colin a headache, which was probably why he started trying to find ways to stop thinking about it. C'mon Colin, lighten up! Let's go grab a beer, life's too short to take everything so seriously! His college buddies always had a quick fix for him. He smiled to himself a little, thinking about all the good times they'd had. On the other hand though, he hadn't accomplished a damn thing at university. It wasn't right of him to waste that scholarship. Colin shook his head. There really wasn't any way for him to quit thinking about this stuff, even with the alcohol, tobacco, and games.

Everything that had happened at the inn had been… weird, to say the least. Not that Keith was complaining, it was good to have some live there every once in a while, but today… well, it had been borderline too much. It would have been alright for it all to have happened during the course of the day, but everything had happen at the same ******** time. In fact, it was a wonder that no one had gotten hurt, with Conor and himself being there. Someone should thank whoever had the idea of not putting any sharp object in the lobby; that had probably just saved a life of two… Either way, he was no walking back home to cook Conor’s dinner….
Wait a sec, did that make him the b***h in the relationship? Why the heck should he be the one cooking the other man’s dinner and not the other way around? Conor should do it once in a while! That was enough to make him stop walking and to actually think about that. Yeah, Conor had pissed him off earlier, so he should be the one cooking something! Oh dear lord… The realization had just hit him in the face like a bag full of bricks. Conor. Cooking. No way. Hell, no! He loved their house! He didn’t want his boyfriend to burn it down like he had done to their previous two apartment. (Well, one apartment and one Room at the local Inn). Yeah, it was better to keep the man as far of the kitchen as possible. That and… well, Keith was a professional cook, so it was normal that he was the one doing all the cooking. Yeah, his mood was back up now that he had realized he had just been silly a moment ago. She shook his head a little, chuckling at how stupid he had just been, as a hand went into his pocket to grab a cigarette. Half a year in a coma had cut down his smoking habits, but that didn’t mean he had completely stopped. Now he was only smoking 2 packs a day instead of his previous 5. Still an improvement, but he refused to give up any more of it. Smoking was just... Well, it was awesome and strangely helped his couple, go figure.
His right hand was still fumbling inside his pocket, looking for his lighter (since Conor kept the matches), without any result. This was getting annoying, where was it? He took out a cigarette from the pack he was holding in his other hand, placed it between his lips and put back his pack in his back pocket, where he just knew that the lighter wasn’t, and shoved both hands in both front pockets, looking vehemently for his damn lighter. It was ought to be there! Where else could it be? He always had it with himself! It’s not like he had lent him to Alex earlier when the man had went on his smoke break…. And then Keith had left before the other man had came back. Oh great. Just ******** great. There he was, stranded in the middle of the streets without a single little match to light up his beacon of salvation: his cigarette.
What was he supposed to do? It wasn’t like there was a lot of people (that he liked) that smoked in this town! The odds of finding someone walking pass him with a lighter where close to – Oh! There was one! He had no idea who that…. Really good looking blond boy who strangely reminded him of Conor (which was a good thing) was, but damnit, the man had a cig in his mouth which meant he could light him up. That, and strangers where better than people who already were annoying him. ”Hey! Yo, dude! You got a light?”, he asked loudly as he walked toward… well, whomever that man was, cigarette still between his lips and hands in his pockets.

Colin snapped back to attention when he heard someone calling. He probably wouldn't have known it was him they were referring to, but the street was relatively empty save for him. He turned slowly, deliberately, to see who it was. A guy about his age was walking towards him, cigarette in mouth. What had he wanted? Oh yeah, a light. "Yeah, sure. Here," Colin said, holding out his lighter. This guy looked like he could have been just about anyone that Colin had known at university. Hell, maybe he did know him. Ah, but there was another thing! Maybe this guy could help him find someplace to stay. Colin didn't like following maps and things, so he usually just found places at random. "Hey, man, do you know where there's a hotel or something around here?"((Short post is SOOO short! D: I'm sorry.))

Awesome! The man had a lighter. God loved him today… or maybe God was just feeling guilty because of the crappiness that day had been earlier. Stupid God… Or wait, wasn’t it Goddess on this island? Oh, Keith wasn’T one to pay much attention to the local religion, even if he had been here for what? Five years now? Longer if you count all the times he had been here during his summer when he was a kid. Oh well, God or Goddess, who cared? ”Thanks, Dude.”, he said as he grabbed the lighter and light up his own cigarette, taking a long drag on it. God(dess), that felt good. He was really getting into withdrawal of it. Having to only be able to smoke one every 4 or so hours at his job was already bad as it was, add in all the previous stress of the day, it was horrible! The smoke that now filled up his lung was exactly what he needed right now and felt his body immediately relax. Oh, the hell if he was getting cancer when he got older, it was totally worth it for the feeling it currently brought him.
”A hotel?”, he asked his savior the man who had gave him the lighter. Did he mean the inn? He was just coming back from there! Was that some sort of joke? Probbaly not. Just a weird coincidence. Either way, Keith didn’t like it, hence the frown that was now on his face. ”There’s an inn, just over there. You see the big white building down the street? That’ where you want to go.” He pointed out where the inn was and without waiting a moment more starte to walk off. He wasn’t one for idle chatter. Those were boring and stupid! Unless they were with Conor. Then it was alright. Cause, you know, Conor is better than everyone else who ever existed. Yeah. Still, Keith kept frowning… Oh, ******** it. He rolled his eyes before turning around to look back at the man. ”Look, dude. I’m not usually that nice, so think of it as a thankyou for the light, but if I were you, I wouldn’t go there right now. It’s…. hectic. So, walk around, explore town, go get a lapdance at the strip club if you want… wouldn’t recommend it, tho. The strippers aren’t as hot as they use to be. The two that were there two years ago? Damn, they were fine. Those right now? Not so much.” Why, of course he would speak so higher of the previous strippers, he was one of them! He was way better than Integra and that other slut… whatever was her name, he had forgotten.
