-Blaire Vatonage-

It didn't take long for Blaire to realize he was talking about the sky. That wasn't something the girl would be interested in everyday, but it was a refreshing look. Something that almost made her mentally slap herself for ignoring so much. Her gaze was still on the sky when she nodded. "It's something all right." That couldn't be debated really. Even if you did ignore it for a running tyke in front of you... or seven. Hm... maybe she was spending too much time with kids. She needed a life. Of some sort.

Today really was a good day. People who liked the sky were good people. And this girl had to be a good person. Alt looked at himself in the reflection of the water below him. Relationships started with appearances! Reed constantly told him that back when they were kids. If you want to make friends you have to at least look decent. And now was a chance to make a new friend. Something that if most couldn't tell, Alt was always excited to do. Especially if it was a person who appreciated the sky. "Ah... Are you from around here?" The boy began to speak the silence starting to get to him. A normal conversation seemed appropriate, "I just moved here... So everything here is still kind of new to me."

-Blaire Vatonage-

Blaire's beat didn't stop as Alastair spoke up. "Hm? Actually, born and raised here. I've been here all my life. Except these last two years, I was out studying. I'm Blaire, Blaire Vatonage" smiled girl, this time her gaze turned to the boy. Two years... in two years her life had gotten on track, and she had gotten to understand so much. "I know the place pretty well. You know, if you need a guide or something." Yup, she had wandered enough around the island to know it's corners, and two years away wouldn't erase that. Hell no.

"Alastair Harris" Alt responded after she spook. As for the guide, "I've already had my teach' show me around." Teach was really smart after all. So now Alt new everything around. But then he focused on her saying she was out abroad. He himself was interested in school somewhere in the world, however his mother wanted him to stay with his cousin. Though Alt was interested in what kind of place Blaire had visited. Different places had different views. And different views mean different skies. "What was the place you studied at like?" He asked curiously. Before he let her answer though he lifted his hands out in the air as if was stretching to reach something above him, "The city I came from had a very dark and gray sky."

"Cities aren't all that, aren't they?" commented the girl at the place he came from. She never like them, even when she was abroad. Actually, especially since she was abroad. "Hm, it was pretty friendly. Certainly eye-opening." Well therapy tended to do that to a person. "But the place... it was oddly lively, kinda small though" managed to think out the girl. Huh, she didn't pay that much attention to detail but... "You could see that sky very well. It was bright and blue everyday actually." Now that she remembered, after all it had provided for lots of classes outdoors. Oh hurray for hippie teachers.

"Sounds like a nice place" Alt smiled at the thought. A place with a bright and blue constantly. That was the closest thing to paradise the boy had ever heard. But more so, Alt was happy that someone actually spoke to him about the sky. Not one person he had met had ever put their input on the subject. Reed would just tell him to stop annoying him. And as for Erika, she was to young to actually come up with a good response. Plus she was so quiet. Alastair looked over to her instead of looking to the sky. "What do you do around here?" She looked pretty young, she couldn't be much older than him at least. Though he never saw her at the school, so she couldn't be a student.

"It was pretty cool" replied Blaire with a nod. It had been for her at least. "I work at the daycare. It keeps me busy enough, but I like it. So I guess it was it's own sense of reward and stuff" answered the white haired girl with a small laugh. This all started with Rune, and then... well it looked like she missed taking care of the girl and ended up with more kids than she could handle. But she did like it a lot. "Are you still in school?" she asked. He didn't look that much older, actually he looked like Lucas a few years ago.

Daycare huh?... Alt sighed. That was Reed's kind of thing. The boy himself personally couldn't stand little kids. They were usually loud and always want your attention. Everyone of them except Erika. Maybe is was because she was family... But unlike other kids, Alt didn't find her annoying. However, she was quieter than a mouse... So that could be a reason why. "Yeah, my last year" He replied as she changed the topic to him. But Alt in his head kept fixated on the daycare. Especially when some gears started turning in that dusty head of his. A daycare huh? Erika wasn't in school yet... And babysitting was a hassle... "So you find it interesting right? Taking care of kids?" Alt began talking as if they were in a very serious discussion.

"Enjoy it." Yes, that was all the advice Blaire could give the kid. Hers was a disaster, but it could really be because of the then president, Alanis. Well if Judith is still there then he was doomed but... The kid could live. Maybe the years softened the crazy woman-Ah no. "Hm? Yeah. I do..." replied the girl carefully. Altair's tone had shifted, which had the white haired kid glancing suspiciously at him, in a playful manner though. She had no clue where he was going with this.

Alt grinned. Not a sinister one, just a normal grin. A day care sounded perfect! If he could only just get Erika to stay there during the day... He could spend most of his free time doing things he wanted. It was great. No. It was perfect. However, how would he get his cousin to go along with it... Reed was so damn annoying when it came to the girl that it would be near impossible for Alt to just drop Erika off at the place and wander off by himself. He would have to convince Reed to put his daughter there himself. And at that, Alastair's gears once again stopped. The boy didn't have much brain power, it was amazing he could even come up with even that simple of a plan. Yet, the issue with convincing his cousin remained. Well... He could always just force Reed into doing it...

"I'm not really all to good at it myself" Alt said continuing the conversation, "I can't really connect with kids." They didn't understand how great the sky was after all! Plus they were loud and always getting in the way. Alt lifted himself onto his feet and stretched a bit. "I'm always babysitting but it's not my thing" He commented with a sigh. The sigh was fake though. Alastair wasn't bright, but that didn't mean he couldn't come up with a plan. He wasn't going to pawn Erika off on this girl. But hearing a little more about the day care could make it easier to convince Reed.

"Oh? Well my sister had a kid when I was around thirteen, so... I got used to it quick" commented Blaire. Rune was adorable too, and quite easy-going for a child, which was probably why they connected so fast. "Who are you babysitting?" asked the girl, tilting her head to the side. Hm... another kid at the daycare would be fun. Good for business too, but fun was more important for the girl... Luckily for Alastair, where his gears stopped, Blaire's took over. "...If it's really not your thing, you're more than welcomed at the daycare. It's called the Kitten's Mitten Day Care." Ah promoting business~

Alt put his hands up in the air before responding, "A little ray of su-"... Wait that wasn't it. Well to him it was, but not to her. He put his hands down and crossed them. "My cousin's daughter" He told Blaire trying to give a more run of the mill response. It was fine for Alastair to live in his own little world. However, bringing people into that world wasn't very good. Or at least that is what Reed would say. After that Blaire had mentioned the daycare again. Was she a mind reader? Could she see that he was hoping to leave Erika there? Amazing... He stared at her for a second, but then snapped back to the real world. Modesty! Reed would answer with modesty right now, so Alt had to as well. He put his hands out in a gesture saying he couldn't, "I can't just pawn my problems off on you."

"Pick up ya' stuff, Fanny." Danny chided the young girl, as he casually took a long drag from the cigarette he had sitting in his mouth, well...it looked like a cigarette anyway. He then exhaled the smoke from the side of his mouth, so he didnt have to remove the cigarette. "Tch. You should take them for me, it's your fault I'm being dragged to this place...it's only fair." She told him with crossed arms, the orange-haired girl tightened her jacket to shield he from the cold ocean breeze, and glared at Danny while continuing to suck her teeth, making that same 'Tch' sound as she shook her head in dissaproval. "I can't believe you.." "Oh shaddup...you. Just a vaction, Fanny~" Danny lied...obviously, with that sing-song tone he used it was suspicious in the first place. But whatever, Fanny sighed knowing she'd just have to deal with it. Even more so now that it was just her and Danny here, Danny was the middle child, and she was the youngest. EVERYONE knew there was always a good degree of animosity between those two, especially Danny being the 'bad' son and her being the 'good' daughter, so they argued non-stop, and Ronnie wasn't here to pummel Danny if he made her upset. "Whatever.." She groaned, picking up her bag, and pulled her rolling suitcase behind Danny, as he did the same with his own stuff. "Are...are you smoking again?!" She asked in anger, snatching the cigarette from Danny's mouth, then smelled it. She gasped at the scent and threw the bud into the ocean. "This isn't even a cigarette!" The girl said in a hushed yell towards Danny who shook his head. "That was a cigarette, genius." Danny told her as he knocked on her head lightly a few times with his knuckle, but he had told her he'd try to stop smoking, after what happened to Uncle Louie, who smoked quite often and now had Lung Cancer to some degree.

Fanny was horrified at the thought of her brother eventually having to talk through those weird things that you plug into your neck, she...didn't know what they were called, but they freaked her out. Plus, she was always thinking that Danny was doing something illegal, as he tended to do, so usually jumped to conclusions like that. "You'll have fun here, Fanny. See look, those people over there don't look much older than you....they look like your type o' people anyway." He said in a low tone so they wouldn't hear him. Fanny shook her head and groaned. One of them did..indeed look cool, with his unnecessarily tinted shades and scarf, the other had colorful hair. They were honestly probably about Danny's age..."Let's just goooooo....how far away is our house anyway?" Danny shrugged with a smile. "Good question..." He then dropped his bag and began to dig through it, pretty much unpacking the thing completely as he did so, in front of everybody, much to Fanny's embarassment. "What are you doing?! Can't you unpack when we get to our house..?!" "I...know I packed that map somewhere in here..." He said tossing clothes around and other random items about, he then took Fanny's suitcase and began digging through it as well.

"Danny! Get outta my bag!" She whined with a completely red face, trying to take it back as Danny continued his search for the map, tossing clothes and her unmentionables everywhere.

A wha-? Oh. Well she wasn't a mind reader, but she was always up for bringing in more business. Advertising of course. Even with the island having a sudden baby population, they could use more kids. If only to drive each other insane. "Well... your problem is kinda my business" replied Blaire with a slight laugh. It was true, she just happened to enjoy it. "You can tell him to drop by and check it out" she said before getting up on her feet. The girl looked down to Alastair and smiled. "Well I should head off. Nice meeting you. Maybe I'll see you around?" commented the white haired girl before starting to walk off the harbor.

If one didn't look carefully, it would seem as if there were a pile of bags and suitcases making their way slowly down the pier. Upon closer inspection, a young man could be caught glimpses of, mostly his soulful brown eyes, but sometimes a shock of black hair or bright green sneakers. The pile grumbled every few seconds, in a steady tone, but mostly stayed in pouty silence.

"Of course...I was too slow to respond to what I wanted to do. Obviously I must want to take all our stuff to the apartment. ...Maybe I just need to move faster..." he sighed, trudging along. "...I don't even know where they all went."

Finally at the end of the wooden pier, he set down the bags in his hands, and removed the one from around his neck - slowly of course - and sat down on them. His pale skin was already starting to get red from the sun, only in the patches the luggage had let through, so he was slightly stripy, evoking another sigh.

"Slow and steady, wins the race, I'll get there, at my own pace."
