Firestar was fully blushing at this point, "Anyway.... Uh.... I don't suppose you know a place I can stay, do you?"

"...No. I'm sorry; normally I'd be the first to let you crash on my couch, but my couch didn't exactly make the jump, either. " Why was she blushing? Was she blushing? Was he blushing? Well, he sure as hell was NOW.

Star let a stifled snort slip and quickly turned around so that she wasn't facing either of them. Ah, this entertaining. So much commentary she could be making. But...was being good. Or at least trying to be.

The redheaded heroine shrugged, "Do you have any ideas where we might be able to go; because, I only have a single change of clothes... stashed in an alley back in Manhatten. I'm open to suggestions."

Star shrugged in return. "I don't exactly have a great place to crash or I'd offer." she lied. The school had PLENTY of room. "I could get you quite a few sets of clothes though. Easily." she said, tugging at her black jacket as if to indicate that the outfit she was wearing was fairly new itself.

Firestar thought a moment, "Well.... That'll be a start. But, I don't want to be an imposition..."

Spider-man shot a look at Gold Star. "Of course, we won't be STEALING those clothes, now will we?" he asked pointedly.

Stealing? Okay, who is this kid? Firestar glanced between Spidey and Gold Star, "Uhhhhhh... What's going on, Spidey?"

Gold Star winced slightly. "Um...no, of course not. I can get, I mean have the money to pay for clothes." she replied, then paused a moment. "Out of curiosity...would it still count as stealing if the store was greatly damaged and they were probably not going to be able to sell the merchandise anyway, so someone just gave everything a good home?"

Spidey performed a lazy, looping backflip before shooting up another web-line. "It would depend on whether or not YOU were the one who damaged the store, I guess," he said flatly, before adding to Fire Star, "Oh, you know. Just setting boundaries."

Gold Star pressed her thumb up to her bottom lip and knit her eyebrows together. "So if it was something someone else did, then it would be alright. Right?" she said out loud to herself. She could hit up the store that the other Spider-Man had sent a bench through. But they'd probably have that place all fixed up by now, wouldn't they?

"If you don't destroy a place just so that the stuff will be up for grabs... Yeah..." he replied hesitantly. He was very, very uncomfortable with this, and it was pretty damn obvious to anyone who happened to be paying attention at all. On the one hand, the stuff probably DID need to be salvaged, and probably would be, one way or another. Still...

Star was lost in her own thoughts enough that she was oblivious at how uncomfortable the little conversation was making Peter. "....alright then. So like, if you were in the middle of a fight with someone and a large object thrown at you, and you dodge it, and a store just...happens to be in the path of said object...that would be fine? Provided the owner's not around to be screaming at you for an accident. Or, better yet he is there and is undeserving dishing out verbal abuse. It would be fine to take the stuff he's complaining about?"
If that was the case, maybe she should've stuck around at the jewelers a bit longer. She could go find her uncle and play around some stores that were closed for the day. Ooh. Or Rhino. Wonder where he'd be at right now.

"NO!" Peter snapped, "You know what? Lend her some of your clothes. Okay? It's easier, and I won't feel like you need supervision."

Star jumped a bit when Peter snapped at her, then gave him a bit of a look. "Need supervision? What am I, seven?" She paused a moment and looked over at Fire Star. The dirty look faded, and she looked down at herself. Then back at Star. Then down at herself. After a moment she shrugged. "Alright. They might be a little small though. I'll pop back home and grab a few things and be back." she said, then took another pause again. "If I did go shopping, I would've grabbed you a fresh change of clothes too ya know. At least a pair of underwear or something." she said with a small grin.
