Hmmm. Shehk seemed to think over the tweezer alternative. Well...
"I guess as long as it has a good grip, that'd work just fine." she answered, frowning at her palm. It certainly wasn't a -fun- experience, even if she was spared from bleeding all over. Hooray!

With the paper done Samantha turned to stare at the two pieces of cloth and the supplies at hand. A few thin needles, a spool of string, and some kind of material that she was willing to bet was not the same as her shirt and had more to do with someones skin at some point.
While she had little skill in sewing how hard could it be? THread the needle, put the needle through the material aaaannnnd...
crack!
The hasty stab at the strange material resulted in a snapped needle with the tip just barely pushed into the surface. Apparently being forceful about this was the wrong choice in actions.
"Umm anyone got a knife, or maybe a claw tip I could borrow?" Maybe making a hole to start with would be a better idea...

Wordlessly, Malodore put down its sewing and reached into one sleeve. After a moment of clanking (?!) it produced a long, rather scary looking pair of tweezers that looked capable of pulling out toenails.
Before it could pick up its stitchery again, however, one of the other remaining undead piped up. "Ease the needle through," Malodore replied, glancing back at the zombie girl. "Don't try and force it so. You are stitching, not stabbing."
Belatedly, the plague doctor remembered that it was not, in fact, the teacher; faintly abashed, it turned hastily back to its work.

Cricket seemed to assess the Plague-Doctor's statement made to one of his fellow students. "That's a very good observation." she praised, albeit in this tone that was flat like he really shouldn't have shared it out loud. As for the tweezers....
Shehk was all to happy to get them. "Thank you." she bid as she took them from Malodore, grabbing onto the needle in her hand with them and yanking it out. Ta daaaa~!!
However, she did pause and look at the needle... and then the fabric... and then frowned before handing the tweezers back. Hmmmmm....
If anybody is inclined for it, I'll close this lesson up at the end of the week, so you can actually take this homework 'home' and Cricket will answer any questions about them when I open up the next 'class'.

Malodore nodded Nurse Cricket, feeling faintly smug about the whole thing. Not only had it been praised - kind of - by this ghoulish teacher, but the class had ended up being the start of a proper fearsome-medical education. If the whole thing had been nothing but papers...
Well.
The plague doctor focused on its stitchery again. It really wasn't easy, not at all, but the rhythm of it was soothing. And at least its hands had no flesh for the needle to get stuck in as well. Though it did sew its sleeve to the heavy cloth once...
"I'll leave the tweezers here, should you need them again," it told Shekh, quietly, between stitches.

Chuppi had managed to wriggle herself free enough to work on the project that had been set before her and, surprisingly, with her sharp fingers and small hands she was pretty dexterous and able to sew. Of course the thread was heavier and the leather was thicker but still! She could do what she needed and get it done right.
Then. . . the teacher started talking again and she had to stop and listen. What exactly was going on was beyond her, she hadn't been listening, but someone....somewhere, was bleeding. It made her a little bit excited, but she had to finish what she was doing!
"Professora. . . . um...never mind."
She stayed in her seat, working.

This class is -over-. Expect another lesson from Cricket by the end of the week, however.
