mine is Cloud, cid, and barret.
cloud attacks, and summons. (sometimes)
cid attacks,heals, and casts magic.
barrett summons, .....and occasionally attacks.... stare

My ultra-super-cool team consisted of Cloud, Vincent, and Barrett. If you want true brute-force, then this is the team for you.

++x.Note.to.self.x++ [x]My main party consists of: Cloud, Cid and Vincent. It even has a name. 'The Strike Force'. That name was generated after playing for four hours straight leveling up on Wutai Island at the end of disc one. I ended up getting all my characters to level fifty.[x]

Cloud, Tifa, Cid. Shoulda replaced Tifa with Vincent...but on disc1 it was always Cloud, Aeris, Tifa.

I always try to rotate everyone around so I've used them all equally. But it's almost impossible. And there are areas where I'm just leveling, and areas where I need to break out a specific 'team' to beat s**t up most efficiently.
OH how I've wished I wasn't forced to use Cloud all the time. crying
Cloud, Vincent, and usually Tifa. Although as long as Vincent is in the party it doesn't REALLY matter.
Disk three, Vincent + Death Penalty + counter + 4 counter materia = death incarnate.
I spent plenty of time running around outside Junon to level up the DP.
I never even bothered leveling him up to 99. Or anyone else, really. I didn't need to. twisted
