Odette simply stepped off the edge, holding her dress thing down as she fell and looking like some comical Marilyn Monroe, and landed neatly on the street. Whitechapel... she new the place and she took off after Rufus's retreating form.

Odette stepped up to Rufus, and despite her generally rebellious, rude, rambunctious nature she had listened the whole time, so she took the hat and examined it for a moment, noting it looked like one that she owned previously, before looking back at Rufus.
What was the plan anyways? He was going to go out and... lure a police man to the ally? But she had to have two hands to attack someone!! And she didn't think Rufus would be too keen on her wearing his hat if how he acted when people touched it was any indication. "How am I supposed to fight if I'm holding your hat?" she asked.

  Fight? What was this the stone age!? Rufus shot his head back to look at her quickly, only to have his eyes widen like saucers.
"Hold that hat better! Do you know what the hat symbolizes? That is a top hat, a top hat! You hold that like it is diamond encrusted and like it is your one lifeline...because it surely is!" Meaning is she got a scratch on it he'd kill her.
He huffed.
"And why on earth, would you be fighting?" Yeah seriously was she some kind of beast? People these days, they had no class!
Rufus only fought hunters and other vampires who got all territorial on his a** (which happened quite a bit actually). "Watch dearest Odette, you'll learn something."
Rufus was really ******** good at this hypnotism s**t. Sure any vampire could do it if they really wanted to, but most didn't even know hypnotizing someone was even possible. Furthermore, Rufus was just really ******** good at it. He liked having people grovel at his feet...and having people lust after him generally boosted his recently bruised ego.
"Before you start to question anything I'll have you know that constable is heterosexual and probably has a wife and family. He loves women with their sloping breasts, soft skin and fair features. Easy to understand, yes yes?"
Rufus looked out at the officer than back at Odette.
"I'll allow you to wish me luck, then again luck is merely a figment of human kind's imagination." He cast his hands up and shrugged airily.

Odette frowned and narrowed her eyes at him, an angry look on her face at being treated as if she were a child (although as far as vampire age went she was) whatever. If Rufus could get the humans without a fight then she would sit back and watch. She crossed her arms over her chest and held the hat firmly in one hand. She stepped forwards, peeking around Rufus to look at the apparently heterosexual policeman and wondered why Rufus would have to inform her of that, or how he even knew about it..

Rufus stepped out of the alleyway and really did stand out.
It wasn't everyday you saw what was clearly a mental patient walking out of an alleyway by himself.
"Hey, you!" Rufus looked over at the officer with a blank look on his place. Hey is he was going to use being a mental patient to his advantage he was going to have to play the part.
Rufus stood there dumbly and expressionless as the officer kept a hand on his gun and approached him. "What are you doing out here?" The man called now five feet away. Great, that was in range.
Rufus opened his eyes widely and looked straight into the constable's pupils. The man went slack and looked at Rufus with an almost dazed, awe struck expression. Rufus stepped back and turned his stoic face into a more suggestive...blatantly sexual portrait. The vampire licked his lower lips before bitting on his softly. He made sure to keep his eyes locked on the officer's and walked backwards into the ally.
Rufus moved slowly and turned his head every so slightly to create this coy experience for the currently hypnotized and thoroughly seduced human.
"Oh officer," he whispered huskily "you look so strong, so masculine, so...." Rufus pressed his own back against the wall and watched as the officer followed and "pinned" Rufus to the wall as well.
The vampire smiled, leaned in for a kiss and blew a stream of cool breath against the officer's neck.
Rufus raised his upper lip and exposed his fangs.
"Odette dear, could you please sink your fangs into this strong, sensual constable's neck." The man didn't even blink. So long as there was eye contact with Rufus, the man was engrossed.

Odette wasn't one to balk at a free meal, but seeing Rufus, a man, playing coy with the constable, another man, was still a little.... it just didn't seem right to her. As well as the fact that he had... she shook her head, trying to shake the thought from her mind. She wasn't going to ask, and she wasn't going to complain, but Rufus's methods were... odd... She stepped forwards, holding the hat well clear of any danger, and licked her lips unconsciously as she watched the heartbeat of the police officer, clearly visible on his neck, she raised her own upper lip and sunk her inch long fangs into the mans neck, moaning softly as the red liquid coated her her tongue and ran down her throat.

Odette drank happily, it just felt so good to have blood running down her throat again. It was just... ahhh. She sucked hard at the mans neck, feeling the end of the shared meal coming to an end. It was a pity, she was still hungry... wait, hadn't Rufus said something about killing more than one due to his appetite? Yes! Yes he had. Good. She removed her mouth from the man, letting Rufus have the last of it since he had done all the work, and licked her lips.

Odette raised an eyebrow at him and held his hat out. He acted as if just her holding it was hurting it, which in his mind may have been true. He seemed very attached to his hat. But whatever, to each their own. She looked at him as he asked his question and nodded "Oh yes, you've enlightened me quite a bit," she responded and tilted her head to the side, studying Rufus.

Odette looked at him, confused for a moment. Hadn't he himself said he was a homosexual? Had he been showing her something else? She had thought he was just trying to prove he could get any guy straight or otherwise, egotistical was a food word to describe the man with the top hat.
"I am not insinuating anything. I just thought you were going to show me how to snag a meal, not how attractive you are to the general male population." and she didn't even say it mean or anything, she was just stating what she thought. Hell, maybe she had missed some crucial part or something.

Mmhmm, Rufus was right. This ho had no idea what he was trying to show/teach her!
"What what what?" He questioned blinking and shaking his head a couple of times each.
Rufus stopped, his composure finding him once more. "That is terribly ignorant." Sure that was a bland tone, but this ho deserved it! Obviously had had worked magic on that guy, but not magic in his pants!
Rufus knew he had a nice face, but he knew it wasn't the greatest face in the ******** world. (He'd probably never admit that though) There was just no way in hell he'd pick up straight guys that easily, no way!
"Odette, most wonderful Odette, you have missed the key element of the lesson." Uh for real! Who the ******** missed that!? Was he that much of a natural that it looked like he was simply being sexy or some s**t!? Because really Rufus had been barely putting on the moves.
"Generally speaking the female population finds me nearly irresistible. For a man my "age", I have quite the sum of money and a nice reputation. What woman would pass up a comfortable life? Men on the other hand, especially straight men, dear Odette, do not fawn of other men." Wow that was stern. "As much as I would enjoy good looking men throwing themselves at my feet it just doesn't happen...well, often." You know there was the occasional homosexual who thought Rufus...or more likely had herd Rufus was great in bed and sexually flexible.
"That is like saying some prissy homo," That didn't really sound like Rufus was a homo himself..."would just suddenly one day decide to sleep with a girl because she was really pretty. It is impossible." Yeah he had ******** Jeremy.
"I just exemplified a very useful technique." Rufus shook his head, acting like Odette was an idiot...and now to him she was. "I hypnotized him with my eyes, or in a more uneducated sense, supernaturally seduced him in a way, all, and only, vampires can."
