Jaxx laughed. "Of course. I wouldn't leave you here alone." He dropped to the ground and spread out on the sand. It really was soft. Jaxx kicked off his shoes and socks and burried his toes in the sand. It felt good. He motioned for Rayne to join him.

Rayne lowered herself on to the sand and stared out at the water. "It would really suck if I died just because of Poseidon's rage."

"Oh you definetly can't explain if it's a long story. It's not like we have all the time in the world here. I mean, I have a million things to do today," he said sarcastically, but his smile was teasing and he reached out to brush his fingers across the back of her hand.

Jaxx's breath caught in his throat as he watched his newest girlfriend fall asleep. He'd never had a girl as sweet as Rayne. His girlfriends were usually the less innocent type. Rayne didn't seem like them though. He liked that. He gently brushed a strand of hair out of her face, a smile touching his lips.
