His eyes still burning fiercely, Kai bowed to the Mizukage before turning on his heel walking toward the window which overlooked the arena. The stands still swelled with people, perhaps even more than when Kai had first come. People from all across the world, come to see the next generation of shinobi. Placing a hand on the hilt of his blade, Kai's knuckles turned white with the strength of his grip. As the Mizukage said, this fight would be the first real test he had ever had. A grim smile crept onto his face at the thought of locking blades with Shinji. Kaizen would hold nothing back, just as he was sure that Shinji would hold nothing back. They would give that crowd a fight to be remembered, a fight that would be spoken of for years. Now it was just a matter of figuring out how he could come out as the victor of this match.

Shinji had been behind the screen for many hours now. It had taken the nurse even longer this time around to heal Shinji due to the many different kinds of wounds he had obtained in his match against Zin. What made the process go by faster however was that the nurse didn't have to bother with keeping the patient comfortable, as Shinji made it quite clear that it would not be possible. Gritting his teeth and bearing the agony his body put him through, he was the perfect patient, allowing the nurse to do what she needed without having to worry about creating discomfort for her patient. Soon after his wounds were closed up, and his torso wrapped again, both for the old slash wound David had given him, and the new piercing wound Zin had inflicted... Shinji was finally allowed to enter his meditative state.

Being so close to others, Shinji had covered himself with a sheet to disguise the distinctive glow of his chakra while meditating, but a keen observer would have noticed a feint illumination from the other room during the hours he meditated. Finally however, it was all over as Shinji woke up to the world, his mind and body instantly flooded with pain as he closed his eyes and sighed once more. reluctantly, he got up, looking around for his shirt and jacket, noting the extensive bandages he was given to wear. He could already see several new scars amongst the others his body had already accumulated over the years of his travels, but treated them coldly as he ran his fingers over his skin, unable to even feel his own wounds and scars due to the numbing of his bloodline. Looking around, Shinji was delighted to see his clothes hung up, stitched together fresh and new for him as he put them on with a smile. "Heh, looks like they treat the final contestants nicely around here."

Putting everything on in it's place as well as securing all of his pouches and weapons, Shinji grinned as he new had had much to look forward to this day. There was no doubt in his mind that he would be made a Chuunin, but that wasn't the matter at hand today. Today he would prove his worth and show himself to be the best of his class. The freak, the Chakra Demon of Iwagakure, the one his village feared... finally returning to it a fully fledged ninja, the best Genin in the 5 Great Ninja Nations, and it's newest Chuunin. that was what he had to look forward to, and that is what he would achieve. Stepping confidently out from the back room, Shinji looked around at everyone in the waiting area with a strange smile, as if he were totally relaxed, though if anyone could see the state of his chakra flaring, tearing at him from the inside, they would know different. However, excitement could be seen all over his face in anticipation of the fight to come. After a few seconds of grinning and tracing the room with his eyes, he found Kaizen and addressed him specifically... "So, when do we do this?"

Zukia raised his head as he felt a light cool breeze pass him as he spoke,"You took your time Jei. I do hope you haven't caused any trouble?"He said as he looked over his shoulder to see Jei with three plates of food. Jei shook his head,"No... But I can't wait until we finish this bout of peace. It's so boring. I rather miss the Shinobi War's. At least we could kill without being faced with irritable punitive charges."Jei said with a great sigh as he sat down on the bench next to the downed Zin and placed to food to his side. Azriel coiled his massive frame up as Jei continued,"So when shall we leave? Are we going to watch the last match or what?"He said as he closed his eyes and rested a bit; adjusting his arm band that held Yukigakure's emblem upon the top of it, despite him having the persona of not liking being controlled by any power than his own. Zukia shook his head,"It depends on what Zin wants. I think he may want to watch the ending fight but I don't know. We shall see soon yes?"He said as his chakra faded from Zin who started to stir. Zukia looked down and waited for the child to completely wake up as he smiled when those slitted hues sprung open. "Ahhh, now there is my grandson."He said proudly as he pointed to the small compartments that one of the contestants actually came out of."Go ahead and get changed, and we'll discuss what needs to be done for the future."Zukia said as he leaned back, nodding to Zin to hurry up who stared at Zukia and Jei as if in disbelief they didn't kill him yet before he slipped from the bench and went into the designated compartment to change out of the shredded clothing.

Kai turned his head slightly at Shinji's words, one of his wild strands of hair covering half of the stark white eye he turned on the Konaga. His eye burned with an inner flame, not the passionate, wild flame of excitement, but a serene, smoldering flame that spoke of the boy's calm readiness. Turning his head once more to gaze out of the window, Kai spoke in a voice that seemed too old and too serene to be the voice of a child, "when the time comes to clash blades, I will be ready. Until the proctors tell me it is time to proceed, I will wait here."

"Very poetic." Shinji said in a sarcastic, almost mocking tone as he cast a playful grin towards his soon to be opponent, "... but you could have saved yourself some time and just said 'I don't know.'" His smile widening as if he had won some kind of fight, Shinji was just about to make another quip when he heard the arena suddenly erupt in applause. The noise of the endless crowd of ninja and civilians grew as the thumping of their combined feet and cheers nearly shook the waiting are before the announcer broadcast the start to the finals.

All in all, it was all a bunch of rambling, recapping the fights each boy had been through, which was when Shinji realized that his opponent had actually only fought once so far. He scoffed at the realization, wondering what it was which had afforded his opponent a bye in the round, but it didn't really bother him one way or another. All Shinji had to do was wait for his name to be called... which, as fate would have it, it was immediately after his thought. Casting a bit of a smirk towards his opponent again, Shinji turned and left the room at an even pace, his heart already racing as battle was so close at hand. He would enjoy this... but more importantly, he would win.

Kai took a deep breath as he heard his name called along with his opponents, requesting that they both make their way to the arena. It was time. Kai knew that ultimately, this battle would not determine whether he passed or failed the Chuunin exams. By this point both Shinji and Kai had proven their worth as shinobi, even if Kai only had the one match to prove it. This match was about proving the strength of their Village, of their Contry. Kai would show everyone the power of the Mist, he would prove to the world that his is the Strongest Village. Turning on his heels, Kai's eyes were fierce once more, a fire raging behind his eyes. Making his way to the arena, Kaizen gave Yamatano and Mizukage Luo one last nod farewell before stepping through the double doors, and walking down the long corridor to the arena.

User Image Zin looked rather dumbfounded to his grandfather's kindness but finally retreated and walked towards the sectioned off room he indicated. He snapped a little out of his drawn back mentality and smirked a little as he heard two separate hisses. One from Nagi and the other from the snake to his side. Zin giggled and looked to his two friends as the slithered brightly up the young one's form, wincing as his body felt exponentially tender, but kept the pain from showing in his face as he hissed to his friends," I am sorry I worried you two. I promise to not do it again." He said giggling a little to his their constant hisses of happiness from the prince rising once more before closing the curtains to the little compartment.

Within, was some of his old items; his weights, 'Amaterasu' gleaming against the dull white lights of the holding area as lastly there was some medical gauze that had a strong Aloe smell. He already knew what it was for as he sighed, hissing to Nagi and the other snake to depart from his shoulder while Zin wrapped his body up. He hated utilizing the stench prone gauze, as it always made him feel like he was some sort of a mummy but he never complained about the rather relaxing feeling it provided for his sore and hyper extended muscles. Looking for a shirt, Zin was saddened his father's kimono was destroyed during the fight with Shinji, but it seemed his grandfather had done his best in replacing it by putting a grey kimono that was quite similar to it. Putting on the fresh clothing to further get out of the cloths that were torn and burnt beyond repair, Zin noticed a white box sitting where the gauze was. Tilting his head, Zin stepped forward as he noticed that on-top of the white box was a inscription of a snake while in the back was the emblem of the Naga Clan. In excitement at another hopeful treasured gift of his unknown past, Zin snatched up the item and opened it up to see a item that truly replaced his destroyed kimono; one of Orochimaru's ear pieces. Zin happily put it in his ear as he smiled,"Daifu-san would be proud.... Despite my loss... I know I would've made him proud... Right?" He asked Nagi as he hissed back, making the child beam a fanged grin as he gathered up his weights and walked out of the room.

Zukia smiled at Zin and nodded,"Heh, Orochimaru reincarnated, isn't it Jei?"He said as Jei was snoring loudly, waking up briefly to look at Zukia... then to Zin... then back to Zukia before falling asleep again. Zin shook his head to his lazy uncle, thinking him not killing anyone made his energy go out. Placing his weights and 'Amaterasu' on the side of the bench as he took a seat while Zukia handed him food. As the child began to eat, Zukia spoke; seeing as Zin would ask less questions when stuffing his face," Zin-san... Your probably wondering why you only received one of your father's ear pieces. It is because, you rather aren't ready to grasp the knowledge of the Heaven's just yet. Soon... you shall, but now unfortunately, your powers are not quite adequate. Once you unlock the powers of a Demi and the true wrath of our bloodline will I give you the second ear piece; making you the complete leader of the 'Tojiro.' At least in my eyes. "He said Zin was about to speak but Zukia held up his finger, silencing the child and motioning him to keep eating,"No questions just listen. This will, perhaps be our last meeting for a while. You may see Jei a couple of times as he lives in Yukigakure... But my time on earth is quite limited. I shall return when I feel that your powers meet the requirements needed and you have learned the power of a Demi. For remember, I will be watching to make sure you are well."Zukia said softly as he stretched and leaned back in the bench to see the final round starting,"I know this is a lot for you to take in Zin-san... but I have high expectations for you. Seeing you fight today only raised them higher as your abilities are getting stronger and stronger by through the days. Hmph... It's rather funny seeing how powerful you have become since that day I saw you gain your headband."Zukia patted Zin on the head,"You will become stronger than Orochimaru... But... Here his the last bit of advice I have before letting you eat in peace..."Zukia leaned his head forward letting Zin see his eyes in true as once more the 'ripples' that originated from the pupil tantalized him in wonder of what his Grandfather's power was. As un-like Jei, Zukia held power that with a single look a feeling of intimidation would just consume you."Do not... Foul your blood... more specifically out Bloodline and Clan to gain power. You know the technique I mean, I'm sure. There is another method, that Jei will teach you in time, to take the powers of these mortals that no longer deserve them." With that he pushed up his glasses and looked back at the fight." These words may sound odd for now, but in time you will understand what I mean."He said as he turned to the fight and leaned back resting. That gave the clue for Zin to stop listening intently and enjoy the time with his family; even if his uncle and Azriel were sprawled about another bench sleeping. It was good call something his home; truly his home.

User Image Zin smiled a little as the child continued to watch the tremendous fight. But, something appeared in his mind. He has watched or at least seen everyone fight but Hiniko. The child would've at least seen some of her highlights but if there weren't any highlights of her. I wonder... He thought to himself before standing up and looking to Zukia,"Grandfather. There is someone I wish to see. Can I go?"He asked as Zukia nodded,"Yes... But hurry. We won't be here much longer after this fight."Zin nodded as he turned his heel and walked towards the infirmary. I hope that I don't see her there. The boy though to himself as Zin picked up a little speed but kept himself from running; his body was still quite wrecked from the fight with Shinji.

User Image Zin smiled as he was returning to the dome where he would be back with his bloodline family again. Seeing his uncle be a douche bag to everyone, and Zukia scolding him every moment Jei tried to kill someone would bring him much happiness and fill the hole that was amiss during his much younger years. But when the child reached the clearing Zin's heart froze cold as he saw Zukia outside along with Jei. He had hoped they didn't do anything wrong to get kicked out but with how calm they both looked it seemed that everything was O.K; either that or all witnesses were dead and they simply were soaking in the moment.

Approaching his uncle, Zin tugged on his sleeve cautiously,"Onto-san?"He said softly as Jei sighed and shook his head then shot a glare at Zukia,"He wouldn't let me." Zin giggled and shook his head to his uncle already knowing what that meant before Zukia waved Zin over. Squatting down to come eye level with the child he spoke calmly,"Tae Long..."He said softly, addressing Zin to his native name which made Zin listen more closely upon hearing his grandfather say this,"We are very glad to have seen you grow. I, more than Jei, have seen you evolve from the years of an Academy Student to a powerful young Chuunin. There is nothing but greatness for you child."He said patting Zin lightly on the head, along with Nagi who hissed out and tried to gain his spot in glory. "But it is time that we left. My time here is... well done. I cannot return to mortal world for a while but when you see me again you will be a strong ninja. I am sure of it. Jei, will keep an eye on you while I'm gone." He said softly as his face softened a little to seeing Zin tear up. Zukia shook his head and wiped the streams that came from his grandson's face and smirked,"Now... now... Tae Long... The Demi Prince of the Naga's doesn't cry... more respectively, the Demon Prince who will become the next Otokage doesn't cry, now does he?"He asked as Zin slowly shook his head. Zukia smiled and as he stood up and gave Zin his equipment that he left behind," Become strong Zin... Become the Demi that your father could not. Learn from his mistakes and become powerful not making them. Jei... will help you in learning and controlling your abilities. When I return... prepare for the war that is to come. I hope that you will be ready..." Zukia said, in a tone of voice that was rather questioning as he smiled to Zin's nod,"H-Hai..." Zukia nodded as he looked up as the sunset and sighed,"Well child... my time is up. When you've grown strong... I will return."

Zukia looked over to Jei,"Jei-san. Watch over Tae Long. Help him achieve the ways of the Naga and assist him into learning the powers of a Demi. Do that my son, and you will be seen greatly once again in my eyes as well as earn your birthright status." Zukia said as, for the first time Jei nodded without a sharp remark added to it. In fact he had even a little fire in his slitted eyes to make sure that it was done to the best of his abilities. Giving Zin one last nod, Zukia walked towards the sunset as Zin gave him a little wave. Zin's over sleeved hand flailing about as the child waved to his grandfather, grateful for the time he did have for him until as he started to turn around," Onto-san, when can I start..."Zin blinked as his uncle was gone. Only wisps of snow floated where his uncle once stood, as Zin looked quickly back to Zukia who also was gone. The child frowned a little and felt himself tear up, having the feeling of being alone once more but those tears did not fall, doing what he promised to them both." I will become great... People will follow me just as my father had done before me."He said proudly as he smiled a little at seeing a small star starting to gleam despite the still quite luminous afternoon day as a warm breeze hit the child lightly. Zin giggled and nodded a little as he looked to the stadium and continued to walk towards the holding area. The child had proudly made this far to the exams; he might as well see who had made Champion."Let's go Nagi-san." He said softly as Zin entered the stadium holding center to continue to watch the fight and see if his opponent made it to the top as well as take notes to better assist his... 'future creations.'

"I gotta go...good luck," Zane stated simply as he performed a single seal. Just like that, Zane's body dispersed into grains of sand and was scattered to the winds.

User Image Zin looked over as he saw a man from earlier speaking to David, disappear in a mist of sand. He tilted his head for a few seconds to one side before tilting it back to the opposite side then shrugging. His slitted hues looked back up to the fight as he continued his mental observations; more specifically in the silver haired one. There was something about him that reminded him about a specific thing he had studied about but the information of the fight he was getting was far to vague to come to a conclusion. It still, although, gave Zin more ideas for him to start working on once he returns to the village.

David stared straight forward at the strange events. First, Kay had come running in, then suddenly left without waiting. And then the Kazekage left as well? What was going on here? And the man had seemed pretty well balanced at first too... Standing up again, the boy grabbed his staff and stiffly stepped towards the door, still rather worn out from his fight, and the fact he hadn't bothered to rest since. He hardly even noticed the fights being played and replayed on the viewing screens as he walked out the door, declaring to the ANBU that he was going for a walk. He needed to stretch his legs, and find someplace comfortable to take a rest. He was hardly out the door however, when he found a Suna jounin before him. Odd as it was, what was even stranger was the scroll he held in his hand. As soon as David took the object, the jounin vanished, leaving David to simply glare into space at the annoyance of it all.

Rolling the scroll open and quickly taking in the contents, David instantly found himself staring once more. "What the hell?" The boy muttered, reading it over once more. What was this supposed to mean? Regardless, it was a recall order. Hitching his pack up higher on his shoulders, David began walking towards the docks. He had lost his fight, so most likely he wasn't needed here anymore anyways. If that wasn't the case, well, he really didn't know what should be done about it.

User Image Zin looked away from the screen to look at David who came around the corner. He had a rather perplexed contortion on his face as the child wondered what was on his mind. Zin would've gave him a wave, seeing as he probably wouldn't see the child in a while, but he knew all too well that when people are irritated it is best to simply let them be. Leaning back against the bench, Zin wondered if he was rather the last participant in still on Nagi Island... It seemed so as the Chuunin Participants area was ever so quiet; which rather suited Zin quite fine. More so because of the participants fight gave him more and more ideas for the future. The child would most likely turn his home in the training grounds into a mini-laboratory; so many ideas where going through his head that even began taking a couple of notes."Human's are interesting creatures aren't they Nagi-san?"Zin hissed softly to Nagi who gave a reply that made the child giggle a little while he lightly patted Nagi before giving the same petting to the other snake upon his shoulder. Zin decided to keep him and see if he too can become of more use to him in the future.

User Image Zin's eyes lit up when he saw the silver haired ones ability. The child couldn't help but to grin darkly at this marvelous power being shown in-front of him. Finally... The human sacrifice to the Demon as a host is shown to me. So this... is the power I've read about. Let's see... Zin watched him more carefully; a little more than Shinji as the child had finally concluded that Shinji was of a powerful heritage but not a demon. Zin watched the silver haired one's moves after the destructive attack and saw his feral behavior; something that was quite in reverse to what he's seen the boy usually like. Yes... Indeed he carrying a Demon. Now...which one would it be... As if Zin had a list in his mind, the silver haired child was checking off on everything that would lead him into better conluding him as a human sacrifice or as the book called it a,'Jinchuuriki.' Zin giggled as he hissed to his serpents in Naga," He is the Gobi Jinchuuriki. It makes perfect sense. Gobi... the demon that had the power of all five elements. I've seen this particular boy utilize at least three of those elements. Usually, a ninja won't learn their second element until Chuunin because of the in-depth learning one has to take about the elements but he is using it with relative ease. Hmmm..... Kiri indeed has interesting people."With that Zin arose to his feet. He's seen enough of the fight to get the information he needed but to make sure, Zin outstretched his un-bandaged arm out, in which another snake was produced."Watch and wait for the conclusion of the fight. Return to your master and tell me what you have seen. Follow our scents." Zin hissed as the child took one last look at the screen and giggled,"This next year will be quite fun indeed."The child spoke as he gathered his things and headed out. It was time he returned back to Konoha and back to his comfy little hut in the mist of the Training Grounds. There was plenty for the boy to start planning for and getting ready for as judgement for the weak was soon to be on trial.
