"It's entirely relevant," Dacj argued, swaying on her tentacles as she moved forward towards her mother, apparently unarmed.
"Oh? Why's that?" Mena asked.
"Because of this," Dacj said with an angelic smile, wrapping her clubs around her mother's ankles with speed, and diving over the edge of the pool and tugging with all her might. Mena swayed on the edge, before gravity and the insistent kraken won out, and the cat woman landed in the rooftop pool with a splash. Dacj resurfaced a good distance away, closer to the middle of the pool, grinning. She'd worn a swimsuit for this very sort of purpose.
"You little...er...squid!" Mena sputtered, treading water as best she could in clothing. Sure, she'd worn a onepiece under her clothes just in case, but she was still wearing dead-weight right now.
"I love you too, Mom~" came the singsong reply.

Sorcha dried her hands and left the restroom having managed to completely miss the water fight up to that point, and started to wander over to food table and see if she could catch sight of where Dacj had disappeared too.

Seth had to laugh, and he made sure to keep himself clear out of reach of the pool. As wet as he was, he'd rather not be dragged into the body of water still. He took this moment to glance over the edge of the roof and see if anyone below was in range. Hm, nope, most were by the food still. Ah well. Gave them more time to plan and aim.
Elf returned then with quite a few filled water balloons. "You guys were starting to run short," she replied with a grin at her son's questioning expression.
Seth merely shook his head and looked back down at the ground again. Ah, there! Sorcha was walking back out into the open, but she hadn't quite reached the food area yet. He threw a balloon her way and hoped that it would hit it's mark.
Success! That was one more target added to the wet list now.

Sorcha was walking when suddenly she felt an impact on her back and was suddenly soaked. Sorcha stood stock still for a moment trying to work out what had happened, but was distracted by a crackling static sound coming from one of her belt pockets. Sorcha quickly took off her belt and threw it onto the ground, there was a bang like a fire cracker as something in the pouch exploded and green smoke wafted from what was left of the pouch. Okay Sorcha thought to her self first I need to water proof all my gadgets and second I need to figure out who soaked me, no wait a second the orders wrong there.

"That was an explosion," Dacj said, swimming for the pool edge and pulling herself up, scrambling for the side of the building. "Seth! I wanted to nail Sorcha first!" she said, pouting. Well, what was done was done, and now that all the explodey bits were away from her girlfriend it seemed safe enough to toss another water balloon off the roof at Sorcha.

"Well you have to hit her first," Seth said with a smirk as Dacj's balloon didn't quite hit the mark. He threw another balloon at the cow himself to see if he could get lucky a second time.
Nope, seemed not. "Well, I hit her the first time," he said with a slight frown as his balloon missed completely.

Sorcha now paying attention to her surroundings managed to see Dacj throw the water balloon before it splashed her "Whats This?! Treachery?!" Sorcha said in mock anger as she realized what was going on, and started to head up to the roof.

"No faaaaaair," Dacj whined, stamping two of her tentacles. She'd practiced, and it looked like a very convincing temper tantrum...for a toddler. "You big meanie!" she added, tossing a balloon Seth's way.

"Looks like someone else will be joining us up here shortly," he remarked aloud, watching as Sorcha made back for the inside of the Hytech building. "We should get ready."
Speaking of 'getting ready', Seth quickly had to dodge as dacj threw yet another balloon at him. "Hey! What happened to our truce!" he said with a laugh, grabbing a balloon for himself and deciding whether to throw it at Dacj or save it for Sorcha.

Sorcha made it up to the roof while the other two where dealing with each other and opted for a dramatic entrance knocking open the door and booming out " DACJ!! You lure me here under false pretenses and then attack me with watery treachery!?!"

To tell the truth, Kisuke was not prepared at all. He was still dressed in the clothes he'd worn to class, having assumed that the party was not a formal affair, except he'd already removed his jacket and hung it on the coat hanger. He was just coming back outside from an especially long call from a classmate of his when he noticed that...there were wet patches on the floor? Oh dear...
"Was there a water leak?" he asked aloud, eyes widening in worry. Didn't Julien and Maxwell live in HyTech?

Ah, it seemed that Sorcha had finally made it onto the roof. Seth had just been about to toss his balloon at Dacj, but the cow's entrance messed up his aim, and the balloon fell harmlessly to the ground below. "False pretenses? There is still food and refreshments down below," Seth said with a helpful smile.

"What happened to our truce was your balloon dropping on my girlfriend's head!" Dacj said with a laugh, dancing away from him just in case he decided to launch an attack at her.
At Sorcha's dramatic entrance, Dacj turned towards the woman with wide, innocent looking eyes. "But Sorcha--I'm always attacking you with water treachery. There was the shower...okay, mostly just the shower, but I've been planning to throw you into the ocean for ages now! This is par for the course, my dear~ Also the price of dating a merHyte." Speaking of which, Dacj had another water balloon with Sorcha's name on it, which she promptly threw.
But apparently karma didn't like her attitude, and the balloon caught on a stray flailing tentacle-hook, splashing the kraken more or less in the face and sending her immediately to attempt to get her wet bedraggled hair out of her face.

It was amusing as well as a bit of a relief to see that he wasn't the only one who occasionally had trouble with piercing the rubber and making them pop. Glancing back over the edge, Seth spotted a familiar Tanuki within the target zone. "Look sharp!" he called out as he let the next balloon fall. It looked as if this one would also hit it's mark.
