Shinya screamed as she was grabbed but relaxed a little as she realized it was Shai. She glared at him and swam for the surface and started moving toward land. "That was mean" She said in a huff.

Shai followed her, shaking off the water as he touched the land. He sighed softly, approaching Shinya and nuzzling her softly. "I'm sorry. I play a little rough, I am used to it. Next time I'll remember you are more delicate than my tom boy sister I am used to playing with." He smiled gently at her, nuzzling her once more apologetically. He truly was sorry.

Shinya growled at him taking it as an insult. She could play rough as easily as anyone. She had three older brothers as her only play mates. "I am not delicate... when I was a kit I helped my brother take on a mountain lion and we won."She growled again."Playing rough is fine but your a jerk i thought something happend to you like you got a cramp and sank or something."she said than turned her back on him.

Shai didn't show emotion to her words, something most would find infuriating. He nodded solemnly, watching her turn her back. Well, it seemed he had forgotten the wrath of females at times. "Very well." He mused back. "I'm sorry I worried you. It seems you are angry, so I'll just be going then." He was used to being called names by females, having once been a heartbreaker of sorts. Even now, even though he had matured and changed his ways it seemed he could not avoid angering females.
"I'm sorry Shinya. Perhaps I am a jerk." He sighed out before starting to pad off.

Shinya sighed than called after him "No wait." She felt bad now for calling him a name and scaring him off. She wasnt mad at him she was just worried about him which makes her grumpy sometimes. She moved closer to him and nudge "Please dont go."

Shai laughed under his breath, kissing her cheek. "I never was going to." He answered with a sly smile. "I merely was seeing what you would do." She had followed, she had stopped him. Hmm, it seemed she enjoyed his presence. He turned to look at her, admiring her beauty. His eyes took a rather devious turn, a flirty smile on his lips once more.
"You know, I have no intention of letting any other male take you from me, Shinya. You are beautiful and sweet and I find myself very attracted to you, more than I have towards anyone else." He admitted easily, tail flipping side to side before he pawed at his tail gently. He looked at her with a smile. "Would you be my mate?"

Shinya glared and nipped at him when he said he just wanted to see how she would react."No I didnt know you that."She said and pressed into him. "Do you really want to be my mate?"She asked gently biting his neck.

Shai received the nips fairly well, allowing it without complaining. He chuckled under his breath, quietly allowing the female to glare at him. He didn't answer her last question immediately, deciding to mule it over a bit. Shinya was not part of his tribe, this could arise problems later. However, he did think it was worth it. "I wouldn't have asked if I didn't mean it."

Shinya smiled. "Oh really?" She asked with a little bit of teasing in her voice. "I would love to be your mate" she said with a smile and kissed him for a few moments before pulling away. She nuzzled his neck than pulled back to see what he would do.

Shai grinned, kissing her back and resting his head on her back. He had no plans of letting her protest anyway, he would have found a way to woo her in the end. She was special, and he wanted her as his. His mate. His partner. Someone he would enjoy being around. Really, he was happy, even if he wasn't completely expressing it.

Shinya rubbed her head under Shai's chin. She was excited and happy. She had never thought of having a mate before. No one interested her enough or was interested enough in her. But Shai she liked and he apparently liked her back which was good. "Shai hun?" she asked.

Shai tilted his head her way, smirking as she rubbed against his chin. He nuzzled her gently, wrapping his tail around her and contently sitting there. She was adorable in his mind, he needed to find some special nickname only he could say. Yes, he was a romantic, even if he came off sarcastic and quiet at times. He had changed in many more ways then one during his life. Maybe for the best? Would Shinya still like him if he had been the same fox he was when he first joined Lunarie? Probably not, he annoyed himself now at the memory of his rather childlike personality back then.
His name being called startled Shai. The male twitched his tail, nodding. "Yes?"

Shinya smiled up at him. Trying to decided if she should be nice or be playfully mean. "How much do you love or like me?" she asked making her voice very innocent so that he had no clue of what she was up to.

Shai was not answering that most would, pausing, He smiled at Shinya, shifting so he was lying down and he had maneuvered her beside him as well. Tricky vixen. Like or love her? Was this a trick to hear it? What was she up to. But that innocent smile nearly killed him inside... "Very much, Shinya." He finally answered with. "I'd do anything for you. Why?"
