The mouse gave what sounded like a highly annoyed squeak and nuzzled Akira on the neck. It seemed grateful to be rid of the other.

The minute Nikoli was out of sight, the mouse scampered back down Akira's clothes, and changed shape. His true form was that of a slim human: Brown hair and eyes, the same color as that of the small rodent he had just been. He was about 6' 1" with a very slim build.
A hand hovered open in front of Akira. "Ketachi. Shapeshifter."

Katachi looked around, taking in the scenery. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
"This place is untouched by the usual pollution of man. I see why you like it here." He cocked his head to the side. "Though, why you choose to be here instead of with friends is a mystery to me."

He nodded. "Home, huh? Must be nice. To have a home, I mean." His eyes wandered to the ground, and for just a moment tears seemed to brim at his eyes. But they were gone just as fast. He looked up at Akira. "Were you born with those?" he said, while gesturing to the ears and tail before growing his own grey versions.

Katachi looked away, hiding the tears. "There are worse things. Trust me." He wiped the salty liquid away on his shirt before looking back. "Have you ever flown before?"

His eyes widened. "It didn't attempt to eat you?" In his surprise the ears and tail vanished. Ketachi shook his head. "But thats not what I meant. Flying on your own and flying on the back of a dragon are two different things." As he spoke, two white wings emerged from his back, before folding behind him.

He said and smiled angelicly. Then he turned his attention back to Ketachi "No the dragon didn't try to eat me she's my guardian dragon that I grew up with give her a little credit and I know they are different."
