Riyo sat up slowly as her chains were undone. The sedative lingered slightly, so it took a moment for her to wobble off of the slab. She looked back at the object she had been laying on and saw the roman numerals XIII in blood where her neck had been. How appropriate.
His words, no matter how shallow, did give her chills. Whether they were good chills or not, well, she didn't want to know...
The chains around her wrists jingled as her fingers graced the collar she hated so much. She thought about trying to pull it off... But that probably wasn't wise with Suto looking directly at her...
As he held his hand out, the girl stared deeply into it for moments that passed like snails. Her inner child screamed and writhed at it's sight, while the demon shouted with ecstasy.
Slowly, she reached her hand out to his, hesitating for a moment longer, but finally taking it. She squeezed it softly to make sure he wasn't just a figment of her imagination too... Though, her mind was rather good at playing tricks anymore, so it gave her little comfort.

Once her hand was in his grasp Suto closed his long fingers around it. Her hands were so small, so delicate, it would be interesting to see what misery they could bring. Smile still fixed on his face Suto drew her closer as he opened the door wide. They would head to the main lab first. Some tests were in order. Then possibly a demonstration of her power. He wanted to know the capabilities, its weaknesses, its limits but he need to take careful measures now. If the girl lost control his pretty little toy might destroy herself.
"Follow me and mind you, it may be best if you keep your eyes forward." It was only a soft warning. Either way he could care less if she saw the hopeless souls locked away in their little rooms, nothing awaiting them but death but death would never come. Not when they finally wished it to. "This way." He led her down the hall, his eyes focused ahead. Long ago he lost interest in seeing the decay of the mind, he liked to watch the beginning of the end. Where madness begun and nothing was left but a lifeless shell.

"Your boss decided it'd be fun to play something similar to pin the tail on the donkey," he muttered in response. Once all the bindings were off, he winced and tried pushing himself into a sitting position. He managed it, but it hurt like hell. Looking down at himself, he saw the needles and proceeded to pull them out. While he didn't feel or see anything, the tiny holes sealed up fairly quickly... well partially at least.
Blade needed to do something about the big guy first; the smaller one would be easier to deal with.
"Damn I feel like I just fell off a horse..." he mumbled before suddenly (as quickly as his body would let him) attempting to stick the acupunter needles straight into the big man's eyes. It was the only place he could think of that would do some substantial damage.

Riyo followed him closely, staring down at the hand that was grasped around hers for the most part. At his warning, she found it harder to keep doing so. Only once did she glance to the side out of curiosity, but quickly found that his advice had not been given for poor reasons.
This man... She wondered what had led him down this path. Everybody started out as an innocent child knowing no more of the world than what their instincts told them. What had happened to Suto to make him spend his days like this? Had it been family? People in general? An outside influence?
She could begin to see where he might get his kicks studying people... With all the potential there is.

"Woah!" Blade had come at him though luckily it wasn't too fast. The larger tech had managed to draw up an arm in time to take the blow of the needle instead of his eye. Quickly with his other hand he grabbed hold of Blade's wrist and turned in the direction Blade had been heading, using the boy's momentum to take him to the ground. If all went well the large tech would have the boy on his stomach, his arm twisted behind his back, putting painful pressure on his shoulder blade. "He is a lively one!" The man beamed with delight.
The weasel didn't know what was happening. One moment the boy was having trouble moving the next he was attacking. Letting out a squeal much like a frightened girl, the tech threw himself behind a rolling table to take cover. He knew it, he just knew it. A demon was nothing but trouble, they were all going to die!
-----
Suto led the way to the main lab only pausing shortly outside of the room Blade had been or was still in. He could hear movement inside and screaming and briefly wondered if that was one tech down. Oh well, sadly there were always more to be had. Men and women alike came from no where like moths to a flame, and once they were close they had no where to go. Without to much more hesitation Suto moved further down the hall and around a corner.
The main lab was fitted with a thick steel door that had nothing but a four by four window to view the inside. With his keycard Suto unlocked the door and moved inside Riyo's hand still held firmly in his own. "Here, have a seat my pet." He lead her to his desk, a chair sitting neatly beside it. His desk was a mess of papers, instruments, tools, and an odd looking computer that was unknown to the rest of the world. Releasing her hand he went about his desk shuffling things here and there to look for something.
Despite how messy his desk was, there was one thing in completely spotless shape. A rabbit cage not far off was kept in the utmost condition and within this rabbit cage sat the rabbit, a little worse for wear.

If he had been healthier, the thief probably would have hit his mark. It wasn't quite the case here and the next thing he knew was that he was on the ground, pinned. Letting out a shout, he painfully writhed under the pressure. Aside from being held down like that, it did not feel good by any means to be laying on his front where all of his wounds were.
"D-dammit..." he winced as he weakly struggled. With the way he was, he was having quite a hard time breathing once more, sapping his strength rather effectively. Before too long he settled down, painfully gasping for air. He was still conscious, just too weak to keep fighting off the bigger man.
So much for that plan... he thought rather bitterly.

As they paused, Riyo listened to the sounds coming from inside. Whoever they were, they sounded like they were having one hell of a time...
When he began to move along without a word, Riyo had thought about asking what was in there, but figured she would probably just get a "You don't want to know" cop out response.
As the entered this new room, Riyo's eyes immediately began to wander. She sat down in the designated seat and immediately eyed the computer. What in the name of gods was that thing? She had never seen anything like it, which wasn't surprising since there was apparently a lot of things she still hadn't seen. What did it do?
She continued to look at it before something else caught her eye. A little cage with...
Was that a rabbit? Her head tilted as she examined what she could see of the creature from her seat. She didn't know people kept them as pets, only that they were a good snack if you were really hungry... Though, she didn't want to imagine what that one tasted like.

Suto paused for a moment in his search as he turned toward Riyo. She seemed to be staring off somewhere and as his eyes followed her gaze they fell on the rabbit cage. Flopsy always did like attention. "I see that you have spotted Flopsy." Moving away from the desk Suto approached the cage. Opening the door he pulled out the rabbit that had died long ago and was now in a permanent position of cleaning its face. The eyes were only empty sockets, hollow and void, large chunks of fur were missing exposing the skeleton underneath, and it appeared as if one of the ears had under gone some extensive reattachment. "She is a rascally little devil." Walking back toward Riyo, Suto placed the rabbit on the corner of the desk next to her. He patted the frail taxidermy on the head before continuing his search. "You may pet her if you wish but be careful. She likes to bite strangers." It didn't seem like he was joking, at least his smile was no more mischievous than usual. There was no laughter before calling out the prank. He merely continued to shuffle about papers and opening drawers.
------
Keeping a firm grip on the boy the tech drew the needle from his arm. Once it was free he threw it to the floor. He examined the area for a moment though his concern was minimal. "That did hurt just a bit." The tech complained. Keeping a firm hold of Blade's arm the tech grabbed the top of his jacket with the other. With surprising strength the man hauled Blade to his feet. "Well, come along them.......where are we going?" He looked back to see the other tech still hiding behind the table. "Oh come on, you're embarrassing me."
"C..c...c-5. Suto wanted him taken to C-5." The tech stuttered still not moving from his 'protective' barrier.
"Oh, the ice box. You must have pissed off the old man." The tech smiled pushing Blade's arm further into his back. "Well, let's get going then."

With a grunt, Blade was pulled up to his feet. If it weren't for the big tech, he probably wouldn't have been able to stay standing for very long. Still, he didn't care much for the rough handling, nor did he like the idea of the 'ice box' the others were mentioning. He really did not want to go into an even colder room; he'd have little to no chance of regaining his strength there.
Gritting his teeth as the tech kept his arm pinned to his back, he staggered forward. The thief hadn't caught his breath by any means, and any odd movements he made just hurt his arm and shoulder more.
Completely unaware of the ones that had passed through the hallway just moments before, he moved along with the big tech as carefully as he could to avoid hurting himself more. As one last ditch effort for the time being, he closed his eyes and tried to focus on the arm the big man was holding him by. It would drain him even further, but it would at least give himself a small bit of satisfaction. After a few moments, his hand burst into flames briefly before his knees buckled beneath him.

Riyo's eyes widened ever-so-slightly as he placed the... rabbit... Next to her on the desk. It was obviously dead, but she felt the need to watch it carefully for movements.
When the rabbit made no moves, she leaned in closer, looking into it's sockets. It didn't smell heavily of death as you might expect a very dead bunny to, but she wasn't about to touch it. Not if it really did bite like he said it did. She didn't see how it could, but with that other strange object that sat on his desk, gullible was written on her forehead. She didn't know whether undeath was possible, though she hoped it wasn't.
It was beginning to look like Riyo was having a staring contest with the ironically eyeless Flopsy, because her line of sight did not venture anymore.

Amused by Riyo's reaction, Suto turned back to the task at hand and finally produced what he was looking for. "Ah, here we are." From one of the many drawers he produced what looked like metal cuffs. Nothing was attached to them though they were similar to the collar about her neck. "Raise you hands to me, my dear." Once her hands were in view he would snap the cuffs in place and remove the chains. Sadly they would be of little use. "We will need these for the next step. I want to see what you can do." Leaning over the desk Suto pressed a button and spoke into the thin microphone by his computer. "All available techs to the arena. I want it prepped and ready in five minutes. Also gather some participants, willing or not."
"Well, you best be prepared my dear." He pushed back from the desk and held his hand out to her again. "Your show is about to begin. I'm expecting a splendid performance."
---
Moving down the hall at a steady pace the techs only paused when the intercom gave a beep. Looking over head they turned toward the noise as Suto's voice echoed down the corridor.
"C..come on, let's get going." The weasel said. The sooner they got the demon to his room the better. He didn't like being in the C block either. It was cold and reminded him of the morgue.
"Now hold on, hold on," The other tech stopped with Blade in tow turning to face a different direction. "The C block is all the way at the other end, we might miss what's going on."
"It doesn't matter, its probably only a test." The other tech squeaked.
"The old man doesn't used the arena for just simple tests. He uses it for blood baths. Come on, we can take him when its over." Without the slightest hint of hesitation the tech turned toward the arena.
"No no no no!" The weasel got ahead of him and stood in his path. "W...we have to take him to his room. The monster may get loose."
"Ah, come on then. I've got this under control." Pushing passed the other tech the larger man continued on his way.
Panicked the smaller man didn't know what to do. He wanted to leave but it had been his task to make sure the demon got to his room. If the demon escaped it would be his head! Torn the man finally gave up and followed the other tech, his face the picture of despair.

Figures a place like this would have an arena. Though, without much warning, he was turned about after the announcement was made. Wincing, he had little choice but to go along with wherever the big guy was ushering him. Quite frankly, he was glad that the trip to the so called ice box was being delayed. Though, as for going to the arena, he had some mixed feelings.
He was rather curious as to what was going on there, but most likely the doctor was going to be getting a kick out of seeing some poor sap get demolished... if things are to be a blood bath as the big tech mentioned.
"Watch who you're calling a monster," he muttered to the weasel as he passed by, "As far as I know... the only monster around is your boss..."

When Suto appeared to find what he was looking for, Riyo broke the stare. Flopsy had one this round, apparently.
Obediently, she held out her arms to him and watched as she was adorned with fancy new bracelets. Honestly jewelery just wasn't her thing, but she knew there was probably more to these than the naked eye could see, just like the damn collar.
As the chains were dropped, she examined her wrists. Her ears listened to what he was saying, and it made her nervous. What would these do to her?
And what the hell was that thing he was talking into? Riyo could hear his voice echoing outside and apparently through the whole compound. Seriously, did he make these things or something? Was it magic?
She couldn't dwell on those thoughts too long, because as soon as she had begun to lose herself, Suto's hand was once again held out to her. Prepared? She was never really prepared, but would do this task that was asked of her either way. Taking his hand for a second time, she stood up and followed like a lost puppy.

Within minutes the stage was set, Suto walked into the main area of the arena, guiding Riyo along. "This is where your performance will take place." He all but showcased the room as he turned her to have a look around. The entire room was made of metal and thick glass panels were set in the wall so that one could see the hallways that were set on all sides. It also gave an excellent view to those who were watching in safety. "Now, for this test you will not need this." Suto reached up and with the key he still held unlocked the collar about her neck. Pulling it away gently he put it in his pocket out of sight.
"The bracelets that you wear are not simple jewelry." He explained. "In a pinch they can do the same thing as the collar but only when I say so." He pulled a small remote from his other pocket to show her. On this tiny black box there were a series of buttons but he quickly put it away before it could really be studied. It was too bad he hadn't put these on Mitsu, otherwise she would still be here. "Other wise, they are a simple tool to read your vitals. They tell me if you are in distress, how much energy you are using, the calories you burn, and so on. The smallest detail can sometimes reveal the most." Resting a hand on her shoulder he leaned down slightly to look her square in the face. "We have only just met but I feel that we know a lot of one another. Show me your potential, Riyo. Don't hold back. I want to see that beautiful color we spoke of."
With a simple pat on the head Suto left her in the middle of the arena. He walked to one of only three doors and entered the hallway locking the door behind himself. There were already lab techs standing at the windows peering in at the girl. Suto paid them little mind as he spoke into another intercom.
"Let's begin."
On the opposite side of where Suto had left the door flew open and in came a creature that could no longer be identified as one thing or another. It appeared to have fur and yet in places it had scales or plates? Its eyes were oddly mismatched in color and shape and its mouth was a mess of long pointy teeth. In frustration of being manhandled it howled slamming itself against the already closed door. Anger was evident as it slammed into the door again before turning its gaze out into the room. It only took a moment for its eyes to settle on Riyo. The only thing that flashed through its mind was kill.
---
Through the hallways the techs went until they could hear the faint murmur of noise. "Hey, I think its starting." The larger tech forced Blade to move faster as they entered a narrow hallway with large glass panels set into the wall. Instead of there being multiple small rooms with reach panel there was one large room beyond them and a girl in the mist of the arena. "Oh, he got a looker."
Charged with keeping up the smaller tech wheezed as they came to a stop. "I...I really don't *wheeze* think we should be here."
"Like I said, we'll take him back when its over." The larger tech looked the girl over. "She is a sweet little thing. What I could do in five minutes with that. Am I right?" He nudged Blade a bit as he laughed, apparently pleased with his sick joke.

As he was ushered to move faster, Blade strained himself to try and keep up. Every now and then he missed a step, causing him to let out a small cry of pain in the process. He was starting to wonder if he'd end up breaking something or dislocating his shoulder if this kept up, but before too long they were spectating the arena.
His dark red eyes drifted onto the big creature thing first before spotting the one it was to face. Immediately his eyes widened as he recognized the woman.
"Riyo!" he shouted before trying to reach the glass only to wince from the sudden movement. Gritting his teeth, he shot the larger man a glare with his comment, "She'd likely rip your balls off before you could get a hard on going."
On the bright side, he now knew who it was exactly that he was brought with, and he knew where she was. Unfortunately she was in the middle of a big arena and he was being painfully restrained... not to mention he was surrounded by a bunch of labtechs so even if he somehow managed to break away from the one he'd be overwhelmed rather quickly.
