Biddulphia at a few of his berries before responding, "I have not had occasion to experience a broken limb that I can recall. Yet I am certain it would indeed be an inconvenience. I am glad to be able to share something you take enjoyment in. I will have Iroxide prepare some honeycomb for your journey. I do not believe the berries will travel well, but if you wish you are welcome to take some of those as well."
Dulph returns to eating his hay. It did not occur to him that the offer was anything other than an attempt to be polite. That was not accurate. If he was to be honest, perhaps it was an attempt to win Fran as a friend and not just an acquaintance.
"There is more stores than I will be able to eat alone for the winter. If you do not mind the burden, there are many things which would travel well which you would be welcome to take and share with those to whom you journey. When you have finished dining I am certain Iroxide would be happy to show you through the stores. I would do so, but there is only room for one Usdia between the stalagmites. Though there is a place to turn so one does not need to back out of the area."

If she wasn't careful she was going to grow attached to this stallion - he'd feed her up, she'd become fat on lovely foods and she'd never leave! However, the adventures of the lands beyond the borders still called to her and for the time being she knew that she needed to keep going. If she didn't go now, she'd never have the opportunity again and she would regret it for the rest of her life. It was something she couldn't and wouldn't do - that being said, whenever she returned she knew exactly where she'd be headed.
...The visits home could wait, she'd want to invade Dulph's place first!
"Really?" she perked up considerably at his offer and flashed a smile. "You seriously wouldn't mind me taking some?" she continued and shook her head. It was an offer she couldn't refuse, that was for sure. "I'll obviously bring you back anything awesome I find," she promised and motioned to Iroxide, "although it may not be as well packed as Iroxide could do it," she mused.
"Alternatively you could always come with me sometime if you fancied an adventure, obviously whenever you were ready of course, not right now."
Suffice to say, this was a promise that she would definitely be back.

Biddulphia was surprised. It wasn't an unknown emotion, but not one he was accustomed to feeling. He turns to look at Fran, "You would not mind my company?" It was as if such a thought was beyond anything he could contemplate.Iroxide huffed, rolled his eyes, and moved back into the storage area. Not noticing the lizard's reaction, Dulph reminds himself of the quadratic equation for a moment to regain focus. After all, she was just being polite. Which he appreciated. It was a response to his offer. Though it seemed a much larger offer than his own. Perhaps she truly didn't mind his company.
Biddulphia smiled, ever so slightly as his head ducked back down for another bite of hay.

"I wouldn't offer if I wasn't serious," she replied and shook her head. Ever the practical one, she wasn't an individual who wasted time on pleasantries. She was an adventurer, an explorer, and if she knew that another individual was going to cause her problems while travelling then she wouldn't invite them. However with Dulph it was somewhat different - while she didn't know if he would be as quick on his hooves as she was, she knew deep down that he would have a genuine interest in what he would see.
"If you wanted to come you would be more than welcome and I think you'd enjoy it," she mused with a small smile. She'd already become aware that he was otherwise inclined towards scientific topics and like Sol, he might gain a great deal from watching and discovering all the new things - she could relish in the adventure, he could revel in what he found and experimented on.
"You'd be able to see a lot - it's something for you to think about," she continued and hook her head. "Then if you decide to take up the offer I can come get you, you know?"

Biddulphia doesn't have to think long. "I would appreciate the opportunity. I . . ." And suddenly he didn't know how to proceed.
For a long moment Dulph stood there, trying to sort through his thoughts. "I can not travel in winter. Iroxide would not do well in the cold and I would not leave him. But if you still wish to extend the offer once winter has past and you have had time to consider, I will be here in the Spring."
He is just a touch hesitant. Somehow sure this offer is a fleeting one, that she will leave and he will be forgotten. But the offer alone creates an emotion he is unfamiliar with. And it is possible, his runic tracks glow slightly brighter.

She knew she had sprung the offer on him rather suddenly but she was glad to see that he was considering it. It was for this reason that she gave a smile of encouragement and nodded in agreement. He needed to pick a season that he was most comfortable with, especially if he needed to consider his companion's well being. She wasn't going to judge him for this and if anything, she appreciated the sentiment... At least she knew that he would be reliable and trustworthy - you needed others you could trust while you explored otherwise things could become very dodgy indeed.
"Then I guess I'll be back for you in spring, huh?" she said with a grin. If he thought she was the sort to forget about those she had met then he was very wrong. She'd be back for him when she next passed through in spring and when she did, she expected him to be ready to depart with Iroxide in tow! They'd have some splendid fun and it would be a good thing for Dulph to get out more - more importantly, he may even discover where he came from... after all, they may stumble upon his old home.
"Until then, I'll just have to enjoy the treats you've given me and return to claim more when I come to pick you up," she mused and then chuckled. "Does that sound like a good plan?"

Biddulphia nods. "It does indeed. I thank you for the opportunity. I will ensure there will be 'treats' waiting your return."
Dulph's mind is quickly on to plans and requirements. His hay chewed with little consideration as his distracted thoughts puzzle on what he will need to make ready for spring.
Soon his breakfast was gone and Biddulphia realized he had let conversation laps. "Have you enjoyed your repast? Is there more you would like?"
