"How dare you say such a thing!" She tightened her muscles so she wouldn't lash out with the second question. "If you must know, I love him. Sooner or later he will learn on his own that I love him." She growled and left, going a different way then where Anri was waiting.
Adrian growled and bit at Tony's lower lip, still having his hands on Tony's hips, pulling him closer. "If we continue like this," He said between kisses. "Then we will be showing people something they probably don't want to see."

"Why show me that?" Anri asked, brushing aside the curtain. Rashaad shrugged, leaning against her chair and sighing. "I expect you to act accordingly, Anri. She is a child whose heart has been broken too many times. I am comfortable living the lifestyle that I do, but Athena's ideals are more sensible then mine. Go to her." Anri bowed, "Yes, Lady Alpha."
"Oh, they want to see." Tony purred, grinding his hips against Andrian's own. Between Adrian and the blood, Tony's eyes shifted to his Were-eyes. He wondered if Adrian's eyes had done the same...

Athena made it back to her place and pushed the door open hard. She was angry now. How dare her mother ask her that question? She paced about her home for a while before sitting at her kitchen table and starting to think.
Adrian growled and fur crawled along his skin. "We need to get back to our place, and fast." He grew fangs and started to n** at Tony's neck and shoulder, grinding right on back.

Several minutes later, Anri knocked against Athena's door. With Rashaad's twisted sense of morals, he was honestly surprised Rashaad hadn't told Athena about the times they had slept together. Good thing too. "You in?" He called out, waiting. During the time it took to get from Rashaad's office to Athena's room, he'd strengthened his resolve and reached a decision.
"Race you." He teased, biting Adrian's neck. Shifting in his half-were, half-man, he took off towards their room.

Athena opened the door a little and looked up at Anri. "I may be in, but I'm not sure I want to see anybody." She sighed and looked down, her feet suddenly becoming interesting. She would have closed the door but she didn't know if she wanted him in, or to go away.
Adrian shifted to his full were form and took off, getting faster then Tony and beat him there. He shifted back and leaned on the door. "I win slow poke."

"So, you love me? Athena?" He blushed suddenly feeling awkward. He'd leave her to jump to her own conclusion about how he figured it out. Whether he was listening in behind the curtain...or the letter she'd given him. Sorry thing had burned with all the pyrotechnics on stage. "Can I come in?"
Tony shifted back, turning the doorknob slightly so he could tackle Adrian and knock him through the door. They collapsed against the carpet together and Tony smirked. "Outrunning your creator? I don't think so."

Athena's heart went up to her throat and she opened the door for him to come in. She sat down and sighed, her voice tight. "And what if I do?"
Adrian bit and nipped at Tony's neck, chuckling as he rolled them over. "Maybe you are just getting old." He smiled wide and started a heated kiss.

"Well," Anri began, twisting his braid between his hands. "what if I reciprocated the feelings? I mean, I've known you since you were a child. Don't you find that odd?" He wasn't pushing her away, in fact, wanted to know her more personally, but he was hesitant about jumping into something with her. At least, not until he got his thing he'd had with Rashaad out in the open...which he dreaded.
So, our lovely cheetah couple romp around on the carpet. biggrin *IMPLIED*

Athena turned away and looked at her hands. "I don't think it odd. I know a lot of people who got together with childhood friends." She sighed and closed her eyes. "But not a lot of childhood friends sleep with their friend's mothers." Yes she knew, every once a while they smelt like each other and it only hurt her more to know.

"It was never anything serious." Anri chuckled bitterly. "Never is with Rashaad. She doesn't like monogamy, never will. I think that's why she's an Alpha. Not for power or anything, but that way, nobody can make her settle down." Shrugging, he said, "Rashaad is our Alpha and we have had our occasional fling. However, I haven't been with your mother for a very long time."

She nodded but still couldn't look up at him. "Why are you here? To make me look like a fool? Mother put you up to this didn't she? To break me so I will come crawling back to her." She stood then, but couldn't find the will power to move. She wanted to lash out at him, to yell and scream, but that would be even more childish then accusing him of helping her mother break her.

"Good," he sighed, a sudden weight lifting from his chest, "because that is all I ask. That you love me." Leaning down, he pressed his lips against Athena's. "I kiss you because I want to," he said, "not because Rashaad commands me to."

She grabbed his chin and pulled him down into another kiss. "And I kiss you because I love you." She kissed him again and smiled.
