Ai was surprised to find himself eager to listen to the girl's flute again. for some reason her song, though he admittedly had been paying more attention to the brother, had cut into hima nd lingered with him subconciously. only now, as he waited for the last hour before she took the stange to pass, he remembered it note for note. his fingers yearned to play along with her, his voice ached to sing to the tune, to create harmonies unlike any before, but it wasn't the girl herself that drew him. it was curious and he wondered if a second hearing of her songs would cause the same longing or satisfy this strange hunger inside of him. "someday, we will play together. that i know."

Ai finished his drink and looked up to see the owner walking over to him. He felt like a fortune teller when the man said he and the flute player were to play together. it would be hard for them to perform together for the first time on stage since they'd never practiced together and didn't know each other's timing and such, but he'd heard her play once before. he should be able to follow her lead easily enough. the hour was up and he stood, rolling his shoulders a bit before picking up his violin and heading for the stage. his eyes were on the crowd, looking for the girl to see if she was one her way up too

Ai found the girl standing quietly in the wing and smiled to himself before softly clearing his throat so as to not startle her. "madam? i believe we are going to be playing together tonight." he gave her a small bow, "i am Ai Momoshiro, a pleasure to meet you. i believe we should pick a song before going out there." a teasing grin creased his lips, but a kind one, he wanted to be on her good side. "do you have a favorite song that you like to play? i can occompany with either my violin or voice or both if you wish."

Ai lifted hishands up and took a step back, "forgive me, Lady Lotus, i did not mean to startle you." he nodded at her question, "yes, i do know that song. shall we play it then?" he felt a sort of connection with this girl that went beyond them both being Musicals. a small smile played at his lips, "the other Musicals had fun with you today, didn't they? that's why i keep a fairly low profile." he winked at her, "don't worry, Madam. i'm no danger to you." he turned his head tot he stage, "it's time. after you, Lady Lotus." he bowed again to allow her to go first.

Ai steped out to stand a little behind her and waited for the intro to finish before he joined it, his violin blending perfectly and creating breath taking harmonies with Lotus' flute.

when the song had finished, Ai opened his eyes and stared at Lotus. "you are amazing," he said softly. he'd never felt anything like that when playing before, it was like-they were two halves of a whole and through their music they completed eachother's melody. he gave her a small bow, "is there another song you would like to play? we've time for one more if you wish it."

Ai listened for a moment before smiling and joining inwith Lotus' song. their music uplifted the room and sent the occupance dancing with joy in their every movement. he added a bit of his own florish here and there to the song that Lotus was weaving, enhansing her tune with his own skill. finally when the song drew to a close, he bowed low to the crowd and to Lotus, "it has been an honor. never before have i felt such a strong presence of the holy ones. i hope to play with you again someday." he moved to the side of the stage and got down, trying to figure out just what it was about her that seemed to make him click. it wasn't in a romantic way, not even close, more like-a home, family, somewhere he belonged and it was a strange sensation to say the least. expecially for a wanderor such as himself

Ai watched the small party as Lotus left the stage, but the men around him offered a drinking contest and he was never one to turn such a thing down. with a set amount laid out for the winner they began the contest. naturally he won and took the prize money, but paid for everyone's drinks. there was still a fair amount left over and he smiled to himself as he went up to his room. he passed one door that had the distict sounds of love making behind it nad blushed a little as he recodnised Lotus' voice. "well-i know which room is her's now...which means her brother was most likely in one of the rooms next to hers. he was tempted, but decided it best to leave the poor man alone for now. he moved down the hall to his own bedroom and fell onto the bed mostly clothes. he kicked off his shoes, but the rest stayed on as he happily drifted off to sleep.
