He frowned a little. Part of him wanted to ask what had happened, but that was really absolutely none of his business. "I'm hoping that getting a look at...my... notes will help me to orient myself a little." God, this was weird. It was going to be even more bizarre if his other self ever showed up again.

"I"m sure they will." Alcina said with a small smile. "If you need help with anything, just ask. I can't do much right now, but I can at least try to help you get situated in this world."

He smiled his easy smile, but didn't feel it one bit. This was entirely too much pressure. "I appreciate that," he told her honestly. He needed all the help he could get. Maybe the other Strange's obviously impressive reputation would be enough to help him a little, but the second people started realizing that he was new at this...

After another moment or two, Reaper returned to the hallway. He came to the doorway and stopped in the middle of it to look inside. It was hard to tell if he was relieved or not, but he was defiantly a bit more relaxed. "Alright. She's going to take care of the problem with the lab. I'd rather stay around to make sure the situation gets taken care of, but if you'd like to go to the Sanctum now, I think it would be alright."

Strange got to his feet as the other man spoke. "Alright. I guess you know where I'll be." He glanced at Alcina and nodded to her, smiling slightly. "Nice to meet you." A word of command and a flash of gold light later, he was gone.

Reaper let out a surprisingly long sigh as the man vanished. Good. He was gone. He didn't have to worry about --
"Honestly." a woman's voice came from behind him. Reaper jerked a bit and turned around. Edel was standing behind him, casually leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. "You act as though I can't control myself. To think you assume so little of me."
Reaper gave her a bit of a look. "Of course, what was I thinking. After all you made such a good housewife while I was growing up." he murmured, then winced when he realized what he had just said. "That is...oh you know what I mean."
Edel rolled her eyes and walked past him into the room. "I was young and realized that I could have children. Just not with your father." she said as she moved to an empty seat and sat down. "Forgive me if I took every advantage of that. That was quite a few years ago and I have since calmed down quite a bit."
"I thought you said that you were going to take care of the problem." Reaper said, trying to change the subject. "With 'gusto' as you put it."
"I am." she replied with a smile. "I multi-task rather well."

"In fact." Edel continued. "It shouldn't be much longer before she arrives here. Sit. Relax. Everything is fine now."
Reaper stared at her for a moment, then sighed surrenderingly and moved farther into the room. "What were you doing that you didn't even notice the laboratory anyway?" he asked as he plopped into a chair.
"I had company." she replied simply. Then paused as the smile fell from her face. "...have company." she said, then paused again. "Excuse me." With that she stood and gently walked out of the room.
Once she came to the large staircase, she hurried up them. Richard should still be in that one room...he shouldn't have walked out to roam the halls. He knew better.
Still...she didn't want Michael to realize that his father was here. He'd been through enough today as it was.

Felicia appeared, still smirking in an extremely satisfied sort of way. Upon seeing Reaper, however, the smirk automatically broadened into an outright smile. "I have to say, that was faster than expected," she told him.

Reaper looked up at her, and visibly relaxed. "It should have taken me much longer, but I managed to catch a break." he replied with a bit of a smile. Batman saving him. Strange. "Are you alright?"

She shrugged, though her smile faded a little as she thought about the return of her thoroughly unwelcome bad luck powers. "They barely touched me. I was knocked out for a while, and they restrained me, but that's about it."

Reaper nodded, giving her a small, relieved smile. He knew what all they could have done to her. "Good." he said quietly. "Edel had to leave the hall for a bit to tend to someone else. She should be able to take us back to the Sanctum when she gets back. Strange is there. Not...the version we're used to, but one of his universal alternates I guess."

Cat blinked, then nodded. She kept forgetting how complicated this alternate reality stuff was. "Better than nothing, I guess." Her eyes flicked over him briefly, subtle concern on her face. "... You okay? After you left, Xion hinted that he'd done something to you."

Reaper smirked and shifted a bit in his seat. "Yeah...he made sure I left the shadow in Gotham. Then...he didn't leave me with many powers at all. By the time I got to New York, I couldn't use any of them. Ran into Strange and he brought me over here. I forgot to ask Edel if she could do anything about them...wanted to make sure she went straight over to get you."

Cat was suddenly very aware that her heartbeat had picked up. Maybe that woman with the clipboard had been right, after all... Not that it mattered to her, because pursuing anything with someone like Reaper was a bad, bad idea--such a bad idea, in fact, that she didn't need someone else to point it out. Normally she did. That was pretty damn bad. "I appreciate that," she replied, unable to keep the slight smile off of her face. At least she wasn't blushing like a teenage girl.
