The YZ-775 is basically a huge, elongated YT-2000. Crew of 8, with 14 passengers. But, it has very little room or cargo spcae (only 400 tons).
I'd rather something larger like the Action VI or a CR90, even if we barely use it.

The Akula is what Cale and Stellar fished up for Project Firefly two years back, its in the thread Tales from the Fringe in the Memory Banks. I linked it, just scroll down that page.
Its not full canon, but it doesn't really matter.

I mean, why let all the work that was done for it go to waste? We can always mod the weapons, deck layout for our own purpose. Has more than enough room and easy crew requirements so no-need for npc crewmen.

Nice ship. I'd be willing to use it, if that's what everyone preferred. Just have to change the names and such. Though, I do prefer a CR90.

Whatever we use, we should really get a deck layout.
At that, the CR90 is the standard, all purpose mid-size ship. Its just too stereotypical I think, no matter how we outfit it.

I don't mind steotypical. The size and class will make us less of a target against pirates and the such (though maybe more so against enemy factions). It has extra room for pretty much everything we need, including space for a starrfighter or shuttle.
And, I was wrong about crew requirements. A CR90's minimum is 7, so even if we have a total of 20, we should be relatively fine. Just don't expect us to be workin optimally if we decide to get in a full-scale battle.

Lord Dryden Greywolf Whatever we use, we should really get a deck layout. There was a CR90 cut-away in one of those ship schematics books from the 90's. Can't find a picture, though.

The Akula not only has those aspects, but its combat-efficient. Its shields are especially resilient as well.

Okay, vote's up.
I'm kind of torn. I like all of the options. I love the design of the YZ-2500, only it's a bit more advanced (Legacy comics era) then what we can have.
The Action VI is the standard model for smugglers and other transporting firms.
The CR90 is more of a military model, and would suit our needs
The Akula is the same situation, though we have actual schematics and a design to it. Plus, it's made by Free Dac
