The temple looked spectacular to Daichi's eyes when he arrived. There appeared to be no work left to be done, though he wondered if the damage from the previous day inside the secret room had been repaired. Nobody of interest was within his telepathic range from atop the staircase, and no monks moved to tell or ask him anything, so he turned to descend the stairs again. His squad had finished their missions, so he decided to go see Misuki-sama at her hospital office. Perhaps he would be able to learn the jutsu he had forgotten, and learn some sealing jutsu. Seals interested him greatly since his sickness and the bijuu attack.

[Past]

Changes in the situation were rendering Daichi's "turtle" plan pretty useless. Setsuna was catching the full fury of Aqua's demon, and they couldn't allow her to keep running around tearing the place. There was always the risk that Aqua would let herself fall further to her demon, and Misuki asked him to provide a distraction. He thought quickly about what tools he had at his disposal, and decided what had the best chance of distracting Aqua without harming her body. In the same instant that Setsuna called out to Aqua, Daichi dropped his telekinetic shield and snatched a smoke bomb from underneath his black cloak. Just as she finished talking, Daichi chucked the smoke bomb directly at Aqua and unleashed an unbearable screech into her mind (I finally thought of a comparison: the golden egg from Harry Potter when it's out of the water).

The screech should be enough to distract the Demon in Aqua's mind so Misuki could get into position and Setsuna could get to a better spot defensively, but the smoke grenade was for added effect. His palm twitched and aimed at the grenade, then it suddenly accelerated to very high speeds toward Aqua's head. If she used her tail to defend herself from the grenade, the flimsy metallic covering on the grenade would melt partway though the tail, causing a breach and igniting the chemical compound inside at a temperature much higher than normal. As a result, a cloud small for smoke grenade but much thicker smoke would appear around Aqua and blind her, but leave the views of the other people in the room generally unaffected save the 3 meter diameter smoke cloud around Aqua.

From her spot behind Daichi, Misuki took another step back as she began twirling the loose chain in circles. Keeping an eye on the demon and Setsuna, Misuki watched in horror as Setsuna barely escaped another attack. This one causing the demon to be sent crashing straight into the kitchenette sink and sending out a wave of water. Setsuna's current composure also threw Misuki off and she could only assume that Setsuna was recalling thoughts of her own sealing. 'Don't know if I should rejoice or be concerned. This isn't a secret I can hide forever, yet, its something I don't want her to learn about just yet...' At Setsuna's attempt to 'back up' Aqua, Misuki couldn't help but release a sigh at her tone. To Misuki, it sounded like she was trying to act all punkish and yet, her words, were really encouraging somewhat. 'I wonder if those words came from herself seeing how I normally can't imagine her trying something like this...'

Pulling aside from her thoughts, Misuki realized she was just in time as Daichi released his smoke bomb and enveloped the demon in a cover of smoke. Confident that the demon had something aside from sight to rely on, Misuki took off and made quick work of whatever it was she planned to do. Locking in on the demon's location thanks to both her hightened sense of hearing and sensory abilities, Misuki skidded to a stop and launched the chain of her kusarigami into the cover of smoke. "Run Setsuna-chan." Tightening her grip on her kusarigama, Misuki readied herself for the next part of her plan. Cutting off the demon's hearing. It won't do anything about his sense of smell but it might disorient him from range attacks for at least a few minutes. Turning to face Daichi, Misuki stared straight into his mask as if to get his attention. Not sure if they still have a link or not, Misuki went ahead and spoke of her plan mentally. 'Daichi-san? If you can hear me, I need you to let Setsuna-chan know I plan to cut off our hearing.'

Apparently Daichi's distractions had worked, but they wouldn't do them any good unless they did something while Aqua was distracted. It was impossible to tell how well Misuki-sama's chain was working on Aqua, but Daichi knew for a fact his mental screeching was paying off: Aqua was starting to sound more confident, which meant somehow his screeching had given him the upper hand in her mental battle. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Misuki staring intently at him, which he quickly took to mean she had something to say in secret. He loathed to end the link with Aqua, but he could reestablish it quickly and so formed one with Misuki.

That was all Daichi caught, but he understood. She was going to deafen them all so they stood a better chance of catching Aqua off guard somehow. He broke the link off and formed one with Setsuna. Misuki's about to stun our hearing. was all he said before re-creating the link with Aqua and resuming his screech, assuming she or her demon didn't block him out. At the same time, he reached into his projectile pocket and pulled out six shuriken. Three were put into each hand, and he quickly launched them at where Aqua's thighs should be. If I can manage to restrict her movement, we'll stand a better change of controlling her. The entire sequence of actions only took a few seconds because of Daichi's thought speed, and he hoped he had been fast enough for Aqua to keep her advantage in her mental battle. Yet again another scenario where being able to form more than one link would have been so much more useful. There wasn't anything he could do about whatever Misuki was about to do with their hearing, but he didn't need it much at the minute anyway.

No sooner had she turned her head back to facing the smoke cloud, Misuki heard the sound of whirling shuriken as Daichi lauched 6 of them into the smoke. Head instantly whipping towards Daichi, Misuki stared at him with a disbelief look but it was rapidly whiped off her face when she heard her chain collide with the ground. 'Dang it.' Turning back to face the smoke clound, Misuki was suddenly taken a back by the appearance of a tail emeraged and almost swipe down along her left arm. 'Hiss...that was close...too close,'

Stumbling back, Misuki kept to her plan and began tapping her right foot in a fast but steady pace. With her beat set up, Misuki raised her left hand a bit so that some of the released chain would be dangling, then she swung her kusarigama down towards the chains while infusing the weapon with her chakra. As the two metals collided, Misuki brought her chakra into the vibrations and a high pitched soprano noice could be heard throughout the space.



{Sry, fell asleep on the couch and then had to shop for stuff and then it was baking for my party...anyways, I'll be gone from 1-5 tomorrow so feel free to skip my next turn if you want just so we can keep this thing moving along.}

Through the smoke emerged Aqua, who had lunged at Deil and Misuki. In her thighs were four of his shuriken (two each), but two had missed. The smoke from the bomb had faded somewhat, thus he could see the glinting of the shuriken beyond. Thankfully Daichi could sense the emotional spike in Aqua just before she attacked, and has started moving backward when she made her lunge. When he could see that her attack was going to fall short, and than the shuriken in her thighs would affect her landing and movement from then on, he "jumped" using his levitation so he was 3 meters off the ground, and launched a couple more shuriken at Aqua. This time however they were aimed at the thick muscle groups attaching the neck to the shoulders. If he could hit those, then that would mean her ability to strike physically and her movement would both be hindered. His shuriken attacks weren't going to do any damage Misuki wouldn't be able to heal, but they should cut deep enough to damage the muscle groups enough to restrict Aqua's movement until they were healed.

The only thing they should have to worry about would be the chakra tail, though he was deafened as soon as he launched his two shuriken. Daichi reflexively grabbed the sides of his helmet as if to cover his ears, but almost immediately put his hands back near his projectile pockets once he realized what he had done. The mental screech continued in order to distract the demon inside Aqua longer. Daichi also kept a mental note of everything Aqua said in her battle against the demon within her. It looks like she has found the resolve to continue on. We should start seeing those results on her physical body soon, I think.

Holding onto her spot, Misuki continued to tap her foot in a fast beat and as the demon Aqua lunged towards Daichi, Misuki worried for a second that she was too late. The demon stopping mid-way and clutching onto its ear proved that she was just in time and Misuki released a small sigh of relief. Clutching tightly onto her kusarigama, Misuki watched as the demon struggled and screeched in rage. Though the other two would be unable to hear thanks to her technique, Misuki herself will still be able to or else it would have been the end of her. 'The venomous chakra is subsiding...thank goodness...'

As the demon fell, Misuki felt herself subconciously taking a step towards the falling demon but stopped herself from getting any closer until she was certain that the demon was contained and that it was Aqua laying there in front of them. Immediately dropping her weapon, Misuki dashed forward and dropped to her knees beside the fallen girl. Quickly performing the handsigns for the all too familiar Shindan technique, Misuki began to assess Aqua's situation. 'Not good. Need to take her to the hospital. I can do much here...' Standing up, Misuki began to attempt lifting Aqua's body from the ground but stuggled a bit as her physic wasn't as good as it should be. With any luck, one of the other two will get the hint and come help her assist the girl to whereever it was they needed to get her to which in this case was the hospital. 'Good job Aqua-san...'

Shindan (Diagnosis)

Description: The first step in treatment is understanding the problem. With this skill a shinobi uses their hands to carefully probe a patient for problems. This technique is preformed by kneeling over a patient and slowly running both hands over their body, looking for signs of injury that may not be visible to the naked eye. It can detect things such as internal injury, improper heart rate, non-apparent bone fractures, poisoning, and disease. A ninja of higher rank has learned to use this technique to perform a rudimentary examination of a body to determine cause and time of death. A Genin using this skill takes several minutes of work to determine the nature of a problem, a Chuunin takes less than a minute, and a Jounin requires only a few seconds.

Crap! thought Daichi as Aqua's demented form easily dodged his shuriken barrage, but it wasn't long after that he sighed a sigh of relief as Aqua collapsed. Once Misuki approached Aqua and performed a diagnosis, Daichi followed to see if there was anything he could do. It soon became obvious that she needed to move Aqua to the hospital, but lacked the strength to do so. So Daichi put one of Aqua's arms over his shoulders and used his telepathy along with Misuki's efforts to slowly lift Aqua. After testing their hold to make sure Aqua would not be dropped, he helped Misuki take Aqua to the hospital.
