Class :: Sage or Sorceress. She is heavily reliant on magic for battles when she goes and get herself into them, but she prefers to manipulate people around fighting than going head to head. Outside of combat, she would call herself a scholar or researcher.

Abilities ::
Black Magic: Erena was raised around this kind of magic and it was always natural for her. She has a lot of magical energy and she can cast elemental spells to their highest level.
Green Magic: This is a rather loose class of magic. Erena's mother was very hesitant to teach her. She called it "Trouble Magic" It includes spells like Sleep, Blind, and Poison. It also has some more "helpful" spells like Leap and Haste. Some people call this status magic and it is the area in which Erena excels. Some of the spells are very basic and general (like sleep) but others take finesse and that is where her particular abilities come into play.
Forbidden Arts: These are Erena's strength as a Nobody. The Forbidden Arts are an extension of Green Magic that is specially tailored for the victim. Forbidden Arts play on a person's fears, motivations, and weaknesses and use custom curses and charms. Erena's particular power allows her to be acutely sensitive to what matters to someone and to craft the appropriate curse. For example, dread. The effect is the same on most everyone, an inexplicable terror that descends rather suddenly, but it cannot be cast unless Erena has been able to pick up on the particular persons fears. Nobody: Being a Nobody has it's perks. She doesn't age and she doesn't get angry or otherwise confused by emotion. It also allows her travel with dark portals and command lesser Nobodies and Heartless, as long as there is no one stronger. The heartless tend not to attack unless provoked, which is nice.
Brewing: No, not alcohol, potions. Those and ethers, elixirs, etc. She is also apt at poisons and other more sinister concoctions. These recipes are different from synthesis crafting and they require different techniques. Some take more than 24 hours, but they work well.
Agility: Physically, Erena is small and fast. She's also a good jumper and tumbler. She is incredibly flexible, but she prefers to out run those she ends up fighting.

Weapon :: Erena prefers to stay out of combat, but she tends to keep a poison tipped dagger or two on her, just in case.

Erena is often mistaken for a young boy. She isn't offended by it, in fact, it was kind of the look she had been going for when she cut off most of her black hair and started wrapping her chest and she walked down the street. That said, she has pretty soft features, the most compelling of which is probably her bright green eyes. She is short, no more than five foot one, and thin. Even if she looks like a boy, people get it right as often as they do because on most worlds, boys never where skirts and dresses. Erena doesn't all the time; she is getting more and more used to pants, but growing up, no one wore them. It was barbaric. And the last thing Erena wanted to do in Olympus was to call attention to where she (and her mother) came from.

She has several minor scars and a tattoo of the sign of the crossroads (basically, a Y) on her upper back.

Personality :: Erena is dark, cynical, and bitter. Even with a heart, she was taught that the heart was nothing but trouble. It was the best method anyone had to use you, her mother would say, her eyes almost glowing with hate. She grew up having to fight to survive, being pushed around, and eating and sleeping wherever she could, even if it meant doing something unsavory. No one looked out for her and she looked out for no one. None of that has changed. Erena considers most other people to be stupid until they prove otherwise and she approaches everyone as guilty until proven innocent.

There is really only one thing that can move Erena's non-heart to go out of her way. Knowledge, especially forbidden or secret knowledge. Growing up under the servant of Hecate and in a world where the elite controlled what the public knew, nothing was more important than knowing what they didn't want her to know. Oppression or destruction of wisdom is the one thing she'll go out of her way to punish.

All of this may not be obvious to anyone who meets her. She is a fan of manipulation and pranks, both of which have only gotten more extreme the longer she's been without her heart. Kind of like a drug, it takes more and more to get the high. She tends to come off and curious, and even childishly playful. Impish might be a good word for it.

Erena adores puzzles and riddles of all kinds, and though she might not stop what she is doing, she will always come back to any that are posed to her.

History :: Erena was born on the outskirts of the world of Olympus. She was on the move with her mother for most of her early years until finally coming to setting in the back allies of Thebes where her mother set up shop. They sold charms and potions and the occasional curse. After an old man recognized Erena's mother as the infamous Medea, her mother had no choice but to explain things to her daughter. From that day on, Erena was taught the arts of magic and potions. When she was in the shop, she was safe. People were scared of that shop, but when she left it's open door frame, she was the target of violence. She was insulted and even attacked for being the daughter of a witch.

One day, that violence got out of hand. A band of boys chased Erena out of the city and hurt her badly. She managed to pull herself to the place her mother always told her to go if she needed help: The Crossroads. After nightfall and barely alive, Erena was taken to the underworld by her mother's mentor and protector, the Goddess Hecate. Despite her good standing with Hades and the Fates, the goddess could not negotiate a full return of Erena's life. Instead, through a little trickery, Erena was reborn as a Nobody.

She appeared in Twilight Town a little wiser about her new state than most, having been informed of the basics in the Underworld. Still, there was a lot she didn't know. She joined a gang and acted primarily as a spy and a medic, but soon fell out of favor for being too "insensitive." Figuring out the dark portals was a happy accident, but once she got the hang of them, she rarely stayed anywhere long.

The closest Erena has to a home base is a small hidden cave in the Underworld she rents from Hades in exchange for information and the occasional assassination. It is mostly filled with scrolls, books, and artifacts.

Miscellaneous :: Erena's morality and motivations may seem strange to others, but she doesn't mind. It takes a lot to get her to actually fight you and only a little less to get her to help you. Good luck getting her to trust you at all.
