Ortus Island
Kerri looked thoroughly embarrassed and depressed as she took Roland's hand. "Kerri," she murmured. "Again, I'm sorry for landing on you. I need to... look where I'm going. To make it up to you, I'll buy you some food. I know Mr. Fishy and I are starving, that's why I came here in the first place. Or if you don't want food, I'll give you some berries, or something." Mr. Fishy leaned over and nudged Kerri gently at the mention of food. Kerri reached back and scratched around the Gyarados's neck, causing the creature to half close her eyes in contentment. "Good girl," Kerri cooed to her, before turning back to Roland. "Did I mention I'm really, really sorry? I don't normally tackle people when I first meet them." Kasumi Location: South Ortus Island, Picnic area Kasumi giggled as the young raven haired man spoke to his Garchomp as if they were close siblings. It was always nice to see trainers that shared special bonds with their Pokemon. The young man informed her that ice cream doesn't agree with the Garchomp's stomach. Kasumi laughed. "You shouldn't be eating things that aren't good for you." She told the Garchomp with a wink. The young man reachd for a treat and fed it to his Pokemon. The Garchomp seemed pleased with the substitution. Lillith cried out with joy and resumed finishing it's frozen treat. The young man introduced himself as Arcanas and his Garchomp, Zelgius. Kasumi nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I am Kasumi. And this is my Weavile, Lillith." Kasumi replied. Arcanas extended an invite to join him and his associates, Chris and Ryuken. Kasumi smiled and agreed to join them. She stood up and faced her Weavile, gesturing for her to follow. Lillith was licking the stick for every last bit of flavor it could muster. "Geez.." Kasumi uttered with a small chuckle. She put the Weavile under her arm and followed Arcanas. Lillith was still savoring every last drop while dangling from Kasumi's arm. Location: Ortus Island
Roland laughed and said "No need to worry about it. All you managed to do was spook Arcane a bit." Roland grinned and rubbed the Arcanine on the side. "In all honesty, though, I think it might have been your Gyarados that spooked him. He seems fine now though. At any rate, keep your stuff. I'm just happy to have the company. This place is confusing, I have no idea why we're even here or where we're supposed to go. Maybe together, one of us will be able to figure this out. Before that, though, lets get some food." With that, Roland began walking towards one of the booths that sold food, Arcane following behind.

Ortus IslandKerri smiled as she watched Roland walk forward for a bit, then began to follow. I certainly could have hit someone less relaxed, she thought, amused at how quickly he shrugged it off. Amused and relieved. She jogged slightly to catch up to him, Mr. Fishy moving along beside her. "Sorry for spooking you, Arcane," Kerri apologized to the Arcanine once she caught up. "Mr. Fishy, say you're sorry." "Raaaaa. Rados," the Gyarados told Arcane in her softest voice, to show she was truly sorry. Kerri gave her another scratch as a reward. "I assume we're all here because we got these invitations," Kerri told Roland, showing hers as she looked at different kinds of food to order. "Some kind of tournament, I gather. Or a festival celebrating that we're awesome, perhaps? I don't really know. I'll get some lamb souvlaki and pita, please. Er, that wasn't directed at you, Roland," Kerri told him, giving her money to one of the cashiers at one of the many booths. "In any case," she continued, "I honestly don't think it matters. We're here, let's have some fun, instead of thinking too hard about it. Things'll work out. What's the worst that could happen? Mr. Fishy might roll over and play dead? Actually that could be pretty bad if there were a lot of people aroun- NO! Don't try it Mr. Fishy! Bad girl!" Kerri put her hand against the Gyarados as she pretended to start rolling over, then stopped and laughed at Kerri. Kerri gave her a glare and grabbed her food, taking a menacing bite of bread before turning back to Roland once more. "So, anyways. Where're you from?" Arcane
Location: Ortus Island
"Arrrrcanine!" Arcane said loudly, meaning "It's no big deal". Padding along with his trainer, Arcane resisted the urge to run around and explore. He had never been here before, so it was only natural of him to be curious. The big water dragon was making him a bit nervous, but only because of the type difference. Arcane was a fire type, after all. Still, he decided not to worry too much about it. After all, Roland trusted the female enough, so Arcane would just have to deal with it.
Roland
Roland sat down with Kerri and took a bite of his food: two slices of pizza and a soda. Giving Arcane some special pokemon food he ordered, Roland said "Yeah, that's why I'm here, at any rate. Though, I must admit, it seems kind of weird. It seems to me like this is just a random assortment of trainers, not the best there are. Hell, I'm good, but I'm not THAT good." With that, he took a bite of his pizza and laughed as the Gyarados threatened to flip over. "Well, look on the bright side. She might not do as much damage as my Steelix would if he decided to repeat the trick."
"Anyway, I'm from the Sinnoh region. Hearthome City, more specifically. You?"

Location: Olivine City Coastline/Water Route After a long trip, Aiden and Hellgar had finally reached Olivine City. "Well Hellgar here we are, Olivine City. We're almost ready to take off to Ortus Island" Aiden said, smiling down at his Houndoom. Hellgar looked up at his trainer and barked "Yeah good idea, maybe we should stop at the Pokemon center first and rest" said Aiden with a soft laugh in his voice. The duo then made their way through the city making their way over to the center. Upon entering the Pokemon center Aiden could feel everyone's eyes on him as he walked up to the counter. ...well this is a bit awkward, I guess maybe I haven't been forgotten...eh better just get this over with...I don't have much time to waste.. As he approached the counter a young nurse greeted him "Welcome to the Olivine City Pokemon Center! You're Aiden right?" The nurse cheerfully asked. "Umm yeah that's me..but if you don't mind me asking, how do you know my name?" Aiden questioned. "Well I guess it has been so long but I think its safe to say most people remember you, however many believed you had vanished after you were beaten by Lance in front of the whole region." She said, her tone still just as cheerful. "Oh...yeah...well I guess I did kinda dissapear after that...anyways would you mind giving my pokemon a quick healing please?" It was obvious Aiden was uncomfortable talking about his last battle against the Dragon Master. "Sure thing sweetie, I'll have them healed up and ready to go in a jippy! She smiled and Aiden placed his pokeballs onto the counter. "Come on Hellgar, you know the deal, just sit in the pokeball for a few minutes that's all ok? Aiden always had a hard time getting his Houndoom to stay in its pokeball. Hellgar whined a bit but did as he was told. After a few minutes the machine where the pokeball had been placed into made a loud "ding" "All done! She cheered as she handed Aiden back his pokemon. "Good luck to you, I hope we'll be seeing more of you once again! She smiled and gave him a wave goodbye. "Umm thanks, I'll try to keep in touch..." Aiden replied with a somewhat sarcastic tone. "Come on out buddy" He said as he released Hellgar from his pokeball. The happy pup streched and jumped up to lick Aiden's face. "Oh stop, it wasn't that bad now was it, don't you feel better now boy?" Aiden joked. Hellgar let out a happy bark and proceeded to the doors. "Hey wait for me you brat!" Aiden laughed as they walked out and made there way to the coast. "Well I know we missed the boat...but that's fine, I'd rather take my own way there anyway." Aiden reached for one of his pokeballs "Whaloh! Come on out!" He shouted as he released his giant Wailord. "Whaoh!" She shouted as she hit the water. He shiny coloring glistened in the bright sun light, as she began playfully swimming around in the water. "You ready for a swim girl? Aiden said, looking up at his own giant boat of a pokemon. "Whaohhhh!" She shouted again, shooting water from her blowhole. "Alright then, lets go buddy" He said looking down at Hellgar who simply responded with a nod of his head. "Alright! To Ortus Island! Lets go Whaloh!" Aiden Cheered. "Wahooohhh! The mighty beast cried as she began to set sail towards the Island. ...I wonder what kind of trainers we're going to encounter...hopefully I'll be able to raise up through the ranks once more...however I can't help but feel like there's something more to this whole Island....something...dangerous...nah I'm prolly just nervious..

"Heh. Well, if we're talking where we're originally from, I'm from Solaceon town. Not any more though... My parents weren't very approving of Pokemon. Anyway, Sinnoh's pretty nice, I guess. The native pokemon are a bit different, but that's true for every region, I guess. Growlithe is actually very rare in Sinnoh, but Arcane here was my first pokemon." Roland spoke for a while before he realized he was rambling. "Anyway, you're lucky to be from Johto. Sinnoh is just a big island out in the middle of nowhere, unlike Johto. You've got a lot of interaction with Kanto there too, I hear." With that, Roland took another bite of his pizza.

Location: Ortus Isle
"Hah, that's a funny story itself." Roland said. "I was wandering around in the woods near my house, and I found an injured Growlithe. Unlike my parents, I always liked pokemon, but they forbid having any pokemon in the house. Not knowing what to do with it, I took him to a pokecenter nearby and dropped him off there." Roland paused and took a drink of his soda. "Well, apparently, he didn't have a trainer, or didn't anymore. Since Solaceon town is a big place for breeding pokemon, I suspect the trainer didn't like something about this guy and released him. He actually hunted me down and snuck into my house in the middle of the night, and curled up at the foot of my bed. When I woke up that morning, my parents were trying to get him out of the house."
"It was then that I decided that I didn't care what my parents thought, And I became a pokemon trainer." With that, Roland tossed one of his pizza crusts to the Arcanine and said "So, Arcane, how do you think they'd react if they saw you now, all big and grown up?" Roland laughed as the big dog snorted in reply and busied himself with the food he had just received.
"Anyway, there's my story. I was rather late to get into the pokemon training too, I guess. It's kind of a bummer, watching all your friends leave to go be pokemon trainers while you stay back. But, it's alright now. Anyway, sorry for rambling like that... Just trying to pass the time, I guess." Roland said.

The storm will rise...
The flood will raise... ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Location: Southern BeachMirai arrived and his Omastar swam him over beside the boat. Mirai thanked Omastar. "Thank you, you and the others can return to the water" He turned around and walked off. Shortly after he arrived to an area where people were. And groped in his black robe and produced a single pokeball. "Kurogane, you may come out now..." The pokeball burst open and out came Kurogane, Mirai's Bronzong. Mirai and Kurogane mingled in with the crowd but talked to no one. Mirai wasn't one to start a conversation, to him it was either you talk first or we don't talk at all... ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ bringing the water.

Roland grinned and said "Well, why not just show you?" With that, he released his pokemon from their pokeballs. He figured it would probably be a good time to feed them all, anyway.
Mythril was the first pokemon to come out, followed by Adamantium, Orichalcum, Heartless, and Cerberus. Roland dispersed food appropriately, then told Kerri the names of the pokemon.

Ortus IslandKerri giggled in surprise as the Pokemon were released, and greeted them all one by one. When Orichalcum was introduced to her, she grinned. "I've always thought Lucario was a really cool Pokemon. Hello Orichalcum. It's nice to see you." "I guess I'll show you some of my Pokemon now. I'm afraid to take out my Dragonite right now, he's quite tired and would probably faint as soon as I took him out of his Pokeball. I need to get him to a Pokecenter. But..." Kerri returned Mr. Fishy to her Pokeball and took out Chloe instead. "This is Chloe, my Onix. He's a boy. I told you I didn't know how to tell gender when I first started training Pokemon." Kerri blushed and laughed a little in embarrassment, patting Chloe's side. "He doesn't mind though. He knows I love him and that he's awesome, so that fact his name is different doesn't matter. Right, Chloe?" "Oooonix!" Chloe agreed, wrapping the end of his tail around Kerri. She smiled and hugged his tail, then put him away. "He's a big softie," she told Roland warmly as she took out two more Pokeballs, releasing her Marill and shiny Abomasnow. "These here are Marill and Geroge. I don't know why, but I only name some of my Pokemon. Just whoever strikes me as needing a name, I guess." Dragonite -- Mr. Fishy -- Chloe -- Marill -- George

Roland's eyes grew wide at the sight of the oddly colored Abomasnow. Shiny pokemon were a rare occurrence; he had only caught one before. A shiny Gyarados. Right now he was stored in a PC storage box.
"I can certainly agree with that. Naming pokemon can be hard at times, depending on the pokemon." Roland said. "Also, I noticed you only have five pokemon. Any particular reason you're not carrying a sixth?"
