The red headed grunt nodded at Panther, filing the name away for now. He had to agree with Nyx though, it was an interesting name.
"I haven't yet," Will replied as they reached the door to the tunnel. "Maybe one of these days. Or at least I hope."

"Hopefully. You'll never get a promotion if you are forgotten about way out here. You're new name will be Will be a Grunt Forever." Panther stepped out to the tunnel quickly, staying out of punching range. "Come on Nyx, we have to hurry back. Or the DNA will melt and be gone."
Nika saw the sudden hurry and speed up to fallow, tripping over Will's boot.

"You're right. Nice to meet you, Will." She hurried after Panther. If this DNA thawed or was damaged in any way, it would cost both their heads.
Newton was jerked awake all of the sudden as Nika tripped. He puffed up real big, trying to use his floaty-self to help her keep up and not trip.

Will just smirked at Panther's predicted nickname for him, and just gave a shrug.
"I'm not in any hurry to get promoted. Just so long as the job pays, I'm happy."
He then looked down as the Charmander tripped on his boot. "Hey, watch it little guy." The grunt told the fire type in not an unfriendly manner. He then nodded at Nyx's farewell, before moving back inside and shutting the door. They should be able to find their way back from there.

"Mmmm, I get bored easy." he frowned a bit when he didn't get the reaction he expected but shrugged it off. It wasn't a big deal.
"See you." he gave a last wave and headed down the tunnel.
Nika looked up from the ground, tears in her eyes and then ran after Panther again, trying to keep up.

"I wish we could risk speeding..." Nyx sighed and kept a strong grip on the case. Of course the trip was going to feel longer, since her companion wasn't a big talker.
Nyx smiled, they were making good time, there were those rickety looking stairs.

"I'll go up first, I don't trust those things, and it would be bad to run into someone." he briskly walked up to the stairs and climbed them, looking for anyone suspicious. Seeing no one he looked back and gave her a thumbs up.
Nika stopped at the bottom of the stairs and stared up. How as she supposed to get up there?

Nyx climbed carefully back up, she still didn't trust them. She walked briskly, trying to get to the van quickly.
"Floon." He motioned with his free string for the charmander to jump. He puffed up and tried to float upward, attempting to make jumping easier.

She jumped as high as she could go, and got up a whole one step. She readied herself for another one.
Panther turned and watched Nyx climb the stairs and then saw his charmander's useless attempt to get up the stairs. Sighing he walked down the stairs again, picked up the charmander and walked back up them, carrying her to the car. "Ugh."

Nyx giggled as she turned around to watch Panther pick up his Charmander. "Oh come on, she's cute, don't complain so much!"
Newton cheered as Nika made it up the step. When she was picked up, he bumped into Panther's head. This Drifloon was good at playing like an actual balloon.

"She is cute. I'll give you that much... but I wish she would just let me put her in her ball." He walked tot he car and shoved her into the back, and pushed Newton down and into the car as well. "I feel like I'm dragging around a two year old."
Nika settled into her seat as Panther walked around the car, opening the door for Nyx. It wasn't out of politeness, he just wanted to reduce the chances of her dropping the package.

Nyx nodded at Panther as he opened the door for her. "Well, how old is she?" She tapped the tip of her nose, thinking. "Have you ever considered conditioning her to like her ball? Reward her for getting into it, even for a little while. Uh... positive reinforcement and all that."
Nyx didn't keep Newton in a ball, well, only when it was safer or less difficult to put him away. Sometimes you couldn't worry about rambunctious balloons wondering off and getting into trouble.

"About a week. Now get yourself in." he knew what positive reinforcement was. He'd tried that. Thing was, it was impossible when that... thing became a flaming ball of rage whenever he tried.

She climbed in and buckled her seat belt. "Well, no wonder she's like a two year old. She's just a baby!" She was all ready to go, the case rested on her lap.
Nyx looked over at Panther. "Do you know why she doesn't like her pokeball? Maybe, if you can't work with her, you could get her transferred to a stronger ball? If she ever evolves fully and still won't get in her ball, that could be trouble."

"I suppose I could try the stronger ball." he closed the door and ran around and got in, pulling on a seat belt and then turning on the car quickly. "And I know she's a baby. I stole her egg from a breeder, along with some others, right out of the charizard nest. I turned in the others." he checked the road and then took off, going a little faster then he had coming in, but still with in the speed limit.
