The Stories Never Told
Tanzu groaned, slightly in irratence and in pain. "You never let me finish..." he protested, blushing slightly when she kissed him on the forehead...he smiled lightly, so he could place a small kiss on her cheek. "And it won't. I promise..."

(are you claiming to be a perfect host now? because I'm sorry, but no, no you are not)

(Oh, we all know that it's going to happen again. But in Tanzu's big-headed mind, he thinks he's got the Hachibi under his thumb... Stories and I both know that something will happen again)

Tanzu lifted a brow at that, slightly confused at her laughter. Then he broke out into a slow grin, wrapping his arms around her in an embrace. "About what?..." he murmered, feeling a bit glad himself...

((Thank you, Emosadness...))

David Greyson
Sunagakure | Ichibi Host | Genin

Having completed the previous technique satisfactorily, David read through the scroll once more. Rather than focusing on a jutsu to fit his needs, he was just looking for interesting ideas. As he had thought earlier, these were mostly altered versions of things he could do himself anyways. But there were a few saving traits there, jutsu that truly stood out. One in particular caught his eye though. Suna Shunshin. A jutsu that could pretty much teleport him to where he wanted to go? That was pretty dang cool. When you combined that with the fact that he was sitting next to an expanse he didn't feel like walking, well, it was more than convenient.

Deciding that he wanted this jutsu added to his arsenal, David read through the instructions again, much more closely. The system seemed pretty simple, though it was a bit vague on just how it actually moved you. First of all, he had to find the location he wanted to go, and feel it with his chakra. That was actually rather simple, thanks to the fact that he had sat in one place over there for several hours. The forgotten sand clone helped too. All in all, the spot he wanted to reach was practically a beacon once he focused on finding it in the way this jutsu asked for. [1/4]

And then came the actual moving part of the jutsu. David quickly rolled up the scroll and put it away, not wanting to lose it if he messed up. Focusing on the location, he formed a 'link' of sorts between himself and the target. And then he was gone. A swirl of sand burst out of the ground, wrapping around him and flying away through the sky, leaving nothing to show he had ever been there. [2/4]

In the moment when he was gone, things seemed to rush past his senses, and he couldn't tell where he was or what was happening. All he knew was that he was being pulled along by his own chakra, on a course to his desired location. The sand of the desert flew by as a total blur, until finally he saw the end of his tunnel. His destination was just ahead. [3/4]

Seconds after David vanished, he reappeared. Standing in the exact spot where he had sat and meditated by the water, a swirl of sand announcing his arrival to all who cared to look. As if a human appearing out of nowhere wasn't enough to let you know something changed. As the sand settled to the ground around him, David nodded. That was indeed a useful technique. Though the traveling portion would take a bit to get used to. [4/4]

Scanning the area he had arrived in quickly, he spotted his clone, and two others from his village. And they seemed to be having a moment. How annoying. "How long have they been doing that?" He asked his clone quietly, to which the animated lump of sand simply rolled it's eyes. So that was how it was. Maybe he should leave again after all...

Sora sighed quietly, allowing Tanzu to wrap his arms around her. How was she going to answer his question? She didn't want to say too much, because she was sure that somewhere in the skies above, her father was probably watching her. "I'm glad... you didn't forget me." She finally replied. That was a good way to finish her sentence! Say something completely useless and stupid and probably get him mad at her again. But who the hell cared?

Something tan that was moving somewhere in the distance caught Sora's eye suddenly, but she didn't flinch or tense up in anyway. No other shinobi were allowed in these parts, so it was probably maybe Shayera or Kira coming back. Who else was here again? Oh yeah, that's right... the tan color was most likely sand. That could only mean one thing. It had to be David, the Ichibi host. Of course, Sora wasn't too sure about that topic. She had only met him once as a clone, and even then she had only said hello, which he didn't return, and asked him to forgive Tanzu for acting like he always did.

"Hey... when you were battling the Hachibi..." Sora asked quietly, not looking up at Tanzu for the first time since she ever met him. Had there really been a time where she hadn't looked him in the face when she was asking him a question? "...How'd you do it? How did you win? Even Kages have issues putting down tailed beast, so how did you do it with genin jutsu?" She asked, skeptic on the entire thing about how Tanzu claimed that he got the Hachibi's chakra down. "I mean, whenever you use that dark chakra, you get pretty pissed off. And no offense, but when you're mad you don't function really well..."

Kira slowly made his way back to the Oasis. He hoped he passed the first stage, as it would be a real confidence booster. He was actually getting pretty worried if he failed it or not. Kira calmed his chakra. He began to quickly run across the sand, using his speed ninja abilites to get him across fast enough. Kira ignored everybody else in the dwelling as he went ot his hammock and began to rest.

Tanzu thought over the question, turning so he could think..."I...dunno..." he sighed, scratching his hair. "Both of us were uber pissed off, at multiple things. I think that he was just weaker that day...I don't even know how I wasn't overthrown then!...but somehow or another, I managed..." he muttered, though he didn't want to go any further. The whole thing seemed sketchy to him, now that he had it. Didn't the Hachibi only talk to those he respected?...then why wasn't he talking now?...

Sora just lightly nodded her head, not knowing what else to do. She had those confusing moments where she'd done something so spectacular, yet she couldn't remember how she did it. Like the time that she learned how to call chakra into her feet when she was four. Her father hadn't been impressed, though, because she could never do it again. Could she still do it now? Most likely, but she was really going to have to work at it.

"Well, it's nice to know that you're okay." She said with a slight smile.

Tanzu nodded, then broke out to a big grin. "That's good..." he muttered, just before hugging her tightly. "I'm glad...that you're happy and all..." Tanzu said, smiling down at her...

"Ugh." David groaned, sitting down next to his clone. "Do they even know what they look like right now?" He muttered to his clone before closing his eyes and beginning to meditate. The clone for it's part looked slightly amused at it's masters antics, though it would have to agree. Those two were looking pretty silly right now. As David slipped into his meditative trance, the clone returned to what it had been doing before he arrived. Sitting there doing nothing. It was amazing how patient a clone could be.

Once more, David appeared in the Ichibi's containment chamber. The room was large, and actually rather pleasant if you ignored the gruesome doodles the beast had made all over the walls. Unlike most prisons, there were no bars here. If the demon attacked, it would be up to David to defend himself, the seals having worn off long ago. It was truly odd, that the 'weakest' of the bijuu was the most capable of breaking out of it's seals. David walked straight up to the beast, and sat down at a small table in the center of the room. "Will you win today then?" He questioned the beast, smirking at it slightly as he set up the chess board. This had long since been how he passed the time while meditating. He couldn't truly let his mind rest, like meditation was meant to do. If he did that, the demon would be free. No, when his body slept, his mind was here with the Ichibi. That way he could keep it from pulling anything, and still get the rest he needed.

((You think we look silly, Hinote? Go check out Shayera and Kanzuki!))

Sora looked up slightly, a small smile on her lips. "Well... your shoulder's better..." She said quietly, pulling away from him slowly. "So you better train a little bit before the second exam. I don't wanna go home just yet, ya know." She said cockily, but there was true sincerity in her voice. "Besides... I'm tired. I haven't slept for three days while I was training..." She muttered to herself, noticing for the first time that Kira was inside the tent. When did he... Sora thought with sudden horror. Holy Crap... was I seriously that caught up in the moment?

(( Yep. If David saw that, I really don't know what he would do. There would be stages though. First would be simple annoyance that people would act like that, followed by the fact that Kanzuki is a foreign shinobi, and currently an enemy due to the exams. And then he would probably pick up on the fact she's feeding him info on the suna genin and kill her. ))

((*GASP* Slight annoyance... and then kill her. You are quite the two-stage guy. whee ))

'Huh?...' Tanzu thought, then narrowed his eyes at his comrade...he turned immediatly, walking straight out of the tent without a second thought. He needed to focus. Sora was right about that. And especially not on a**es...he picked up the scroll again, examining the jutsus...

As she passed by Kira, Sora couldn't help but feel slightly uneasy. This guy had been a really good genin back home. In fact, he was probably the best genin here. Of course, she would never say that aloud. Both Tanzu and the really small Ichibi jinchuuriki may just kill her on the spot. Sora looked over her shoulder slightly to see Tanzu walking away with a scroll in his hand. Good, he's going to start training. She smiled to herself.
After finding a corner in the tent with nothing near it or in it, Sora set her stuff down and sat. She was tired. All that medical training had seriously sucked it out of her. After a few minutes, her eyes closed and she was sound asleep.

The results couldn't have been more bitter for Tanzu. All of his teammates. Except. HIM.
Failure. Disgrace, shame, fool, moron, Baka, MONSTER!!!!
Turns out there was still hate in his heart...he felt like imploding, sending all of creation with him. He stood, taking the scroll with him. Just genin wind jutsu and gen..."Might as well leave..." he muttered, practically not noticing Sora...
