"I have no clue." She smirked. "Glad they didn't ban this." She said as she began to scale the rocky side of the wall, taking her time so Jack could catch up with her.

"Yeah, glad. That's the word." Jack muttered, then started climbing, trying to catch up with her. He hated this rock wall, mainly because of the boulders and lava, but for some other reasons too.

"So," Jessie started, attempting to strike up a conversation. "What's your family like?" She asked, quickly dodging a falling boulder.

"Oh, you know, nice, happy, and perfect." Jack lied, knowing that saying 'dead' would just be a little depressing. So he kept that to himself.

"Well, interesting." She purposely(sp?) left the part out about her family. She wasn't quite ready to get into that yet...

"Wow, you bought that." Jack said, but quietly, hoping she didn't hear. "So, um, what kind of music do you like?" he asked, not having anything else to say. Athena kids weren't known for their social skills.

"I don't really have a like or dislike for any genre of music. But if I had to pick the one I'd listen to most, it would probably be Jazz or something of the sort." She admitted, taking a careful step onto a slightly unstable ledge. Jessie almost slipped, but immediately caught herself. I'd really rather not take a trip to the Infirmary again... Hate that place.

"Wow, again, different." Jack said, rolling his eyes, then trying to catch up. He stumbled a few times, and gave up trying to speed up when he was hanging by only his left hand. He hoisted himself up, and regained his footing. He sighed, glad he didn't fall, and kept going.

Jessie frowned, her expression turning a bit sour. "I really wish you would stop saying that. So what, I'm different than most Ares kids. We've already established that." She spat, continuing to scale the side of the climbing wall. The daughter of Ares sighed, realizing that she probably just revealed a bit too much of her normal side, as Jack would probably have put it. "Sorry. It's just that... I already know I'm different. That's probably why my father won't accept me." She stated apologetically, stopping for a short second. "I don't think he really wanted to claim me. I mean, seriously, I'm 19. Most kids here got claimed when they were twelve or thirteen. He probably just thought I was a lost cause and took pity on me." Jessie's eyes widened slightly, as she slowly realized she had said too much. Had she really opened up that much to Jack that quickly? I should shut up now, before he thinks I'm soft or something. That's the last thing I need right now...

"I don't think Ares is one to take pity on people." Jack said, before slipping again. He regained his grip before continuing. "And I'm sure you're a great fighter. I mean, just because you aren't rude, insensitive, or a jerk. I'm sure he's proud to have you as his daughter." he added, having a really hard time of climbing. He didn't like the wall, and would probably be caught by the lava.

Before she knew it, Jessie was at the top of the climbing wall. She placed her foot on the last stable rocky ledge, and hoisted herself up to the top. She stood victoriously at the top, looking down at everything else. Everything looked so small from up there. But, it was a beautiful sight. Jessie bended over, and placed a hand out for Jack to hold onto, smiling thankfully down at him. "Grab my hand, if you want to live." She joked, quoting one of her favorite parts of a movie she liked. Though it was changed up a little, obviously.

"What, no shot gun?" Jack asked, smirking a bit, then grabbing her hand. "But thank you." he added, sitting at the top, but making sure his legs wouldn't get fried by the lava. "I'm not a good climber." he admitted, his hands a little sore from the climb, and his legs banged up from when he slipped and hit the wall.

"Nope. Left that in my cabin." Jessie sat down beside him, watching as the campers way below them continued their daily training. "Wow. This is pretty high up." She observed. Jessie wondered if any of them tried taking a break every once in a while. "But it looks really beautiful from up here." The sun rising in the background pacified her.

Jack looked out, and shrugged. "I guess. Though, I'm not so happy about the height." he added, a little to himself. Though, it wasn't that bad, and he liked the view. He thought about it quickly, then decided he had too many fears.

She could easily pick up some tension. "You afraid of heights, too?" She shrugged. "Don't worry about it. A lot of people are." Jessie grinned, and tried not to look down.
