Velos calmed down a bit when he felt Chael's presence by his side. He blinked away the red he was seeing as his little mate licked he blood from his muzzle and nuzzle him. He found himself purring as well and was glad his little mate was alright.
While the white dragon and his attacker talked Velos nuzzled his mate. He rested his head lightly on Chael's as he thanked him and breathed a sigh of relief. "You're welcome, but you and I are going to have a talk when we get back to the cave," he said.
Once the shock of seeing ice on a burn mark wore of a little Velos licked some of the ice cyrstal's off. He blinked again in surprise that what they were seeing was true.
"It's ice and it's the purest water I've ever tasted," He looked at Chael in wonder. "How?...." he shook his head and looked at the other male.
"You go get your wing tended to. Chael come with me," he and to his cute mate. His little love seemed to be full of surprises. He led Chael to the entrace of a cave that would eventually lead them to the library where all of the records of each dragon on the mountain and near by were stored. Yes, they had a library. It was how they kept track of every body. Liniage was important to the dragons.
He led Chael into a huge cave lined with books. He turned into his human form and continued to walk. "You're not allowed to be in dragon form in here for obvious reasons," he said. He guided Chael from the normal section of the library to a seperate cave full of scrolls.
"This is the Hall of Records. Let's see if we can't find a clue about you," he said.

Chael blinked up at his mate with wide, curious eyes as he followed the male into the library. He watched the man open a book that would supposedly help him find out who the little dragon was. Chael purred pleasantly, pleased to be close to his mate after such a frightening event. He moved close to the man, nuzzling submissively into his chest as the man took a seat.
They read for hours but there seemed to be little evidence of white dragons that could blow ice instead of fire. Chael found this quite disconcerting and mewled softly, shifting in the male’s lap as discomfort and irritation set in. Sighing heavily, the small blonde leaned up and licked his mate’s lips, wanting the male’s attention to himself rather than to a book. “We’ll figure it out later.” He whispered, nuzzling the man with huge eyes. “Perhaps… in another book?”
He was just getting used to the fact that he was a dragon. He didn’t WANT to be any more confused about his own body than he already was.

Velos looked down at his little mate, a smirk on his face. He closed the book and put it asided as he captured his mate's lips in a kiss. Reluctantly the Dragon Prince broke the kiss. He hadn't been able to help it with the smaller male acting so cute.
"Another book for another time. Let's go stretch our legs. I'm sure you must be hungry by now. I am. We'll come back once we are full," he said. He stood, holding his mate bridal style for a moment before setting him on his feet. He took the smaller's small hand in his own larger one and led him to the dining room. On the way he called a servant to him and told her to have a meal prepared and brought to the smaller dining room. The servant nodded and was off to perform her task. Velos continued walking.
