Acacia yawned and shifted her sword in her hand. "Oh good. Some action," she said hopefully. "Maybe it'll be one of those good-looking Wild One guys. Good thing I brushed my hair before we left." She followed the other two.

Mordecai saw her angel faltering and took the gag from his hands. As she knelt to gag the Wild One she forced the little face to look into her own. "Trust us," she whispered. "You shall not die." She began to tie the gag on. "Forget, little one," she whispered. "Forget the past life. Forget the trials and worries. This is the afterlife. Let yourself be cleansed of the memories." What had happened to this angel? What powers could wipe her mind so utterly of the angel's way? All angels had learned to accept the Holy Life and forsake the living one. They had learned to forget. What had happened to this lost lamb? The Archangels would be pleased to reconvert her.

They painted up your secrets With the lies they told to youAnd the least they ever gave you Was the most you ever knew Abby thrashed against the gag being tied on. She had not lied about her death. Things covering her face against her will scared her and she managed to land a good body blow, utilizing her feet while the pulled away, rolling to her back.
"There are still living ones in this world. This is still life and we are not gone forever like others. My human life bares only one memory for me now, and it is the one of my death. No amount of struggle will allow you to put that on my face," she said, thinking of some way to get her wish. "How about a trade? If you don't put that on me, I'll give you a little hint about the Wild Ones that nobody knows, not even most of the Wild Ones," she said with a mischievous tone.
And I wonder where these dreams go When the world gets in your way What's the point in all this screaming? No one's listening anyway

This was something. Mordecai knew that the girl was in her possession and if the information she supplied was inadequate, the gag could be reapplied. "I give you my Word," she said, "that if the information you give us can be deemed of use, I will not apply the gag." She knelt to tighten the ropes around the Wild One instead. The Wild Ones were a complete mystery to Mordecai and her kind. They were people who had turned savage, and had betrayed the natural order of the afterlife. Any tiny drop of information was a necessity in the fight to regain the fallen angels.

Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline slid from behind the tree to try and hide behind another large shrub. The tree would be poor hiding soon and the shrub would provide better coverage for her. The part where she tripped as she was trying to hide was not part of her plan. She felt the ground scrape away layers of skin and the warm blood begin to drip down her leg.
She can't find her place, She's losing her faith She's fallen from grace, She's all over the place

Jinx shushed Acacia, in full scout mode now. Scouting required quiet, which she was not. Though Jinx was. She walked slowly, judging each set before she took it, with care not to step on branches and leaves.
"There's definitely something here" She mumbled, arming her bow. She could feel someone around her, hiding. There's blood around... the hider has injured themselves. She thought, her grip tightening on the arrow, tensing the bow slightly. The injured had a tendency to fight harder than the healthy.

Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline's breathing quickened. One of them must have been making noise not to hear her fall. Above her injury, her biggest disadvantage was that she was unarmed. She looked around frantically, trying to come up with a plan that would not kill her. She looked up and saw only the thick branches of this three and several others.
An idea dawned on her. She picked up one of the fallen sticks near her and took out her flint and the little iron chunk she kept on her. She quickly threw sparks at the stick and a couple leaves she massed around it. It ignited on her first try. Evangeline hurled it through the air and knew it would land on one of the other nearby bushes. hopefully the threat of fire was bigger than the threat of her.
She can't find her place, She's losing her faith She's fallen from grace, She's all over the place

Acacia tugged at Silas' sleeve. "Uh," she whispered in his ear, "I know we're supposed to be quiet, but there's a little forest fire you might want to deal with." She pointed up.

Everyone is changing There's no one left that's real To make up your own ending And let me know just how you feel
Silas looked up and saw the torch in a tree lighting leaves that were slowly creeping up to the branch. Embers danced to other leaves that began to smoke and burn bright yellow orange. He began to shout for people to stop the fire. "You four, find water, use our supply if you have to! You six, take anything you can and try and smother it! Jinx, Acacia, you two and i are going to look for whoever started this fire. Everyone else, Help put out the fire in any way you can," he shouted loudly.
'Cause I am lost without you I cannot live at all My whole world surrounds you I stumble then I crawl

Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline looked at her terrible aim. The branch had landed in the leaves of another limb. Her leg gushed more blood and stung terribly, dirt sticking to the edges of the cut. Her eyes darted around wildly for anything she could use as protection.
She can't find her place, She's losing her faith She's fallen from grace, She's all over the place

'I'd just like to point out now,' Acacia thought bitterly, 'that I'm an expert fighter, not a scout.' She rolled up her sleeves and began searching half-heartedly through the bushes.

Jinx nodded at Silas's commands and began searching the brushes, shooting arrows at moving branches. Dinner anyone? She thought as she shot a rabbit. Poor thing was slowly dying as she continued searching, not actually caring about a bunny.

Her feelings she hides, Her dreams she can't find She's losing her mind, She's fallen behind Evangeline yelped as an arrow pierced her shoulder. She moved from where she had been hiding, quickly ducking and lying flat against the ground. Tears ran down her face as she inspected her shoulder. It was not as bad as it could be, the arrowhead had poked through which meant it would be easier to take out. She just needed to be able to cut the tip off.

Jinx caught a slight yelp as one of her arrows vanished in the bushes. She moved closer to the spot where it supposedly landed and found nothing but a bit of blood among the leaves. Fresh blood, by the looks of it. And not animal either. It was blood of someone that already died once. And they were damn close. She scanned the ground around the area, finding scattered leaves leading somewhere. Drops of blood were on them, a path to whoever's came this happened to be. Come out, come out. Wherever you are...

Glancing over, Acacia could see that Jinx was on someone's trail. She wanted to fly in the air space over where she was looking to see if she could help find the thing from above, but - she glanced overhead - the trees were grown too closely together. Her wings had no chance. So, instead, she waved Silas over and pointed at Jinx.
