I heard an interview on the news when the books first got...popular.....*Shvers*
She was asked why she didn't just call the sparkly ones something besides vampires and not stir up trouble. She responded that she got the premice from a dream where vampires sparkeled instead of burned when the sun touched them, and that it was not just an intergral part of the books, but the reason she wrote them.
Ironicaly the next story was a drug bust, the confenscated 40 lbs of weed and several ounces of shrooms, 2 streets over from where she lived.

on a lighter note did anybody see this weeks ugly Americans on comedy central? it was kind of a giant spoof on twilight, it even indirectly pointed out how stupid bella really is...I think.
