Always shoot for the Moon... Oh yeah. Which is crap. I mean you don't want people hording 'em ya know? It's hard for new people to get in and stay in without a soquili.

Yeah, there was a slight melt down over just that fairly recently. Unfortunately, they can't turn their backs on existing customers, but some of those existing customers forgot that they were newbs too.

thats very true straight I was one newbie who tried a few years ago for many months and I gave up eventually seeing as I was barely noticed in thread at all.
I ended up on full gaia hiatus for 1-1 1/2 yrs. back in'08 before and after I had back surgery....but im back and not going anywhere and certainly not giving up!!

Though, sometimes you have to perk up the courage to talk to some of the "hoarders" and get to know them better. My dragon kalona was a gift from the top Soq owner, Meeki. She paid for him completely, I just had to win a slot.
@ Storm: You probably came in around when I was getting my Gaia burn out. Real matters and all that jazz. When I'd get on Gaia, it was for relaxation, but I'd felt very misunderstood, so I took a year hiatus. But it's true. It's all about determination. We're hopeful this charity will be of some use. Just need to talk to Caj and Sirenz about this one idea we have.

I think it's just awesome that your doing this, Ill definitely be donating big after I get my angeni boy...after I get my first(whichever way) Ill start donating what i can.

edit: ya in smaller groups where u can easily talk to a few people and really get to know will help build confidence for the big and busy thread

Yuuka also had the idea of having some of the regulars "sponsor" newbs. It would give you another familiar face with someone who is an owner, helps with shop questions (tried to cover most in my guide), and just another means of making friends.
And I've been inviting some of my Soq friends into guild as well.
