V caught a glance of the girl who was running. He recognized her, she was from the asylum, one of their experiments. She had been in the lab most of the time V was. "No harm in saying hello." He said as he teleported to where she was, appearing as a flash of light in front of her. "Stop."

Baring her teeth she hissed, droping into a roll past his legs. she hit her feet running, her thoughts scattered. it never occured to her to yell for help, so used to being on her own as she was. phaseing through the door she lept the couch, peeking over the edge as she pulled out the cellphone Relic had given her. she didnt want to fight him, the last time she fought they had tranked her.. running was the best bet.

Sighing V walked over to the door and opened it. Calmly, he said. "My name is Vesuvius Black. You may remember me as Project Raiden. I'm an escapee from the Asylum." He just stood in the doorway as to not seem threatening. "I heard about you from the scientists, you are Project Excalibur. Am I right?"

it was quiet for a long moment, as if she were considering this, before she inched up to look at him. " i remember. the lighting rod." seeming to build up her nerve she stood, circling the couch to study him. she had only heard about him through ungaurded remarks of her cell guards.. he had escaped a few years before she herself did. matter of fact, it was his escape that had inspired her own. a sudden thought hit her and she winced, leaning back slightly and raising a arm as if to defend herself. what if they had caught him? was he some sort of trap to catch the other escapee's? " i am not going back, i cant."

backing away she sat in a single seat chair to his right, still studying him as if he were the odd one. " i am afraid, but not of you." she said honestly, curling her legs up and resting her chin on her hand. " the scientists have been catching up to me.. i dont understand why the wont leave me alone. they made me a freak, they should be happy with that and let it go."

V just watched her and smiled. "We're all freaks, some of us just show it more than others. I wouldn't be worrying about the scientists anymore though. There was a brutal massacre at the Asylum a few hours ago, leaving them a little...short handed. And as an act of friendship I will personally take care of any others who come upon your door." Holding his hand out, he teleported in a bottle of wine from the other room and held it towards her. "Drink to calm your nerves?"

" I hope they gaged on their own blood, and knew damn well what was comeing for them." she mused darkly, studying the bottle before shaking her head. " Aruri says that stuff is poison, i am not to drink it.. she gets upset when i forget her words." Gwin had been locked away from the age of five.. imprissoned half a century and only free for two weeks. the most she knew of the outside world was that it never slept. " I forgot!" sitting up fully she made a squeaking sound, rushing into a smaller room. when she came back she was dressed in her fighting outfit, settling the mask over her face as she looked looked at the clock on the wall. " im going to be late.."

V gave her a look of question and said. "Oh, sorry if I'm burning up your time. What are you late for?" He was trying not to be as forward as he usually was with people. She was broken from her years in the Asylum and he understood that. "Just like I was."

" this thing, it only happens once a week at this time tonight." stressed she pulled a tattered photograph from her belt pocket, offeing it to him. it was of colorful lights, a aura behind a old castle's battlement. " its near the vampires castle, not the wolves so i dont get in danger there." the lights was one of the things that had helped her collect her sanity two weeks ago.. and it had been where Aruri had found her.

V looked at the picture and then to Gwin. "What a coincidence, I have business there tonight." He got up from the couch and walked over to her before continuing. "I'll tell you what, seeing as you're low on time I'll take you to the castle in the quickest way possible. Free of charge."

eyes narrowing she bit off the need to question him, turning her masked face toward the clock a last time before giving him a swift nod.. but, unable to let herself trust him that easily, she added quietly. " if we end up anywhere else.. i will kill you." no warning, simply stateing a fact.

V just nodded and took her hands. "This is going to feel pretty weird. Just so you know." Taking a deep breath he concentrated on where he was trying to go. Sparks of energy started to appear around him and in a burst of lightning they were gone.

It wasn't long before Avarice also entered The Hunting Grounds. He'd already accomplished capturing Bones. It was the rare occasion he was in a good mood. A drink perhaps...to celebrate. Seating himself at the bar, he ordered himself a glass of red wine.
